Saw Palmetto does help w/ weight gain and is used in products to help women increase bust size. It doesn't work on everyone because we have different reasons for inability to gain weight. If it were me, I'd try it for a couple of months to see how it affected me. It is "safe" for women but sometimes has unexpected results because of its ability to affect hormone levels.As you say, you've not been able to find a cause for your thinness. Here are some other herbs you might want to consider: Fenugreek seeds, Alfalfa, Irish Moss, Slippery Elm, Agnus Castus, Wild Yam, Kelp. All these have a reputation for weight gain.
Agnus Castus (Vitex) is also a hormone balancer and I've found it to be helpful in all sorts of (seemingly) unrelated problems, such as PMS, acne, anger.
If you are often cold or hot when others in the room are comfortable; if you are hyper active or lethargic; sleepless or sleepy all the time; have an increasing list of food allergies, you might want to have your thyroid looked at. I was very big on top in middle school (a D in sixth grade before I got really heavy in high school). I lost a lot of weight (over 100 pounds in my older teenage years). Unfortunately, I'm barely an A cup now (sometimes a double A).I've had two kids and go up to a double D during pregnancy and breast-feeding, but come down to a boyish-flatness afterwards. I worked out and got to an 18.7 BMI with fab abs (I am only 5' 3", but 18 BMI happens at about 125 for me)
I was not heavy when I initially got my breasts. I even went into a plastic sugeon when I was 12 to talk about breast reduction.
Is there any way I can control my breast size to keep it larger (my bras are literally every size), but still keep myself muscular and under 140?
I've tried uping my protein, but it's effect has been minimal. Am I doomed to being flat and thin or curvy and overwhelmingly voluptuous? Is there any way I can strike a middle ground?
My numbers aren't off at all. I am blessed to be in a 5' 3" body, I am at an 18.5 at 125 lbs if I'm lifting regularly. I'm not complaining there.I just want my "boobs" back. No matter what my diet/working out (wether it be predominantly liftin or weight excercises or balancing it with cardio) my breasts are always under a B until I hit 140 in which I don't feel comfortable that I' healthy.
I just don't understand why I had Ds going into the puberty game while I was thin, I wrked and I worked after being morbidly obese and now I'm flat if I'm at a healthy weight.

In those commercials and advertisements, they only show the worsely shaped, most flappy, most cellulite-type women where they mention losing weight and with those before/after photos.I don't like those commercials. MOST women with those few extra pounds are actually sexually attractive. I LOVE women in their 140s, 150, 160s, even 170s. Women in their 250s are too heavy and do need to lose weight, I agree, but it's like they seem to want to avoid showing the majority of sexy full-figured women with those few extra pounds because it's like they're afraid that if they show how sexy most women really do look in their 150s or so with that nice big curvy as# and sexy thighs, that they won't be as encouraged to lose weight.
I think their after pictures are TOO skinny. In those "hydroxy cut" commercials, I found some of those semi-full figured women sexy in the before pictures.
If I could choose between the woman in her 110s and the women in her 140s, I would defintiely chose the 140s woman. I once massaged the thighs of two women at the same time, one in her 110s and one about 145 lbs., and I perfered the 145 lb. woman by far. I wanted to spend 2/3rds the time massaging her thighs. The 145 lb. woman sexually turned me on more because she had those curves.
But again, I do have my limits as well with a woman weight. I find 270 lb. women just as unattractive as skinny women, even 200 lbs. is a little too big for me. To me, women are sexist in their 130s to 150s, women in their 170s are full-figured but still sexy, but once they get up to around 200 lbs., they are just a little too big and DO need to lose weight.

But if you're lifting weights twice a week in addition to your cardio, and eating less calories than you burn off, then it's physiologically impossible for you to bulk up (unless of course you're roiding
. Instead, the weight lifting will boost your metabolism and actually aid in your fat loss, instead of causing you to get bigger. I would recommend less weight for girls, and higher reps (3-4 sets of 12-15 reps per exercise).

Gaining weight has never been easy. I can eat everything and not gain anything so are there any supplements or methods for weight gain? Is Creatine bad for women? I've been looking on websites and almost all say that Creatine will work but actual people say that it's horrible for both men and women.

How many overweight pregnant women have lost weight without trying?
I want to hear from those of you who have personally experienced this. I am also about 50 pounds overweight from first baby born a year ago and am now 2 months pregnant. No m/s but it seems like weight is slowly coming off. ANSWER:
I weigh almost 30 lbs less than when I got pregnant. All of it came off unintentionally. I think a combo of m/s for me and eating healthier. Everything with the baby seems to be fine and my doctor isn't concerned. One of the good things about being pregnant for me so far! Good luck!

I think most women are emotional eaters and eat or crave something during there periods.For ex:I have a salty tooth so I crave nachos or popcorn which is bad either way..I try to instead go outside and ride my horse or milk the cows instead of reaching for FOOD.I think you should find something you LOVE doing like riding a bike or swiminning if you want to lose weight.But always love yourself for who you are and NOT ur body.

QUESTION:
Can men still find over weight women attractive?
I was just wondering. I recently started working and although my husband says that he is completely secure, still makes little gestures that he is not. I think it flaturing to some degree to think he is a bit jelous, it's more attention than I have gotten in quite some time. I do think it is silly though, I am completely over weight, about 100 pounds (started working again because staying home did it to me, I have lost 25 pound though, yeah!), and do not feel that men would find me desirable. I have a great personality though and make friends easily and he is a bit overwhelmed I think. Can men still find over weight women attractive? ( I wouldn't, that's why I want to fix it, for myself mainly and for my family.) I guess I am having a hard time understanding why he may feel unsecure.-

You're getting attention, plain and simple. He wants to be reassured that you won't leave him for a cutie. Yes, overweight women with great personalities are VERY attractive to men. Reassure your husband that even Fabio couldn't tear you from him. Also, don't tell him about the attention you get.... it's only hurting him.

I'm curious to know how many mama's out there lost weight before going into labor? And how long after losing the weight did you go into labor? I'm 38wks 1day and when i went to the dr. yesterday i lost 4-5lbs!! I read in a medical book that if the mom-to-be suddenly drops a few pounds as she approaches her due date, she can expect to go into labor in the next day or two. (It happened to me, too.)

Do protein shakes make women put on weight in the right places?
I have this friend that's obsessed with "putting on more weight in the right places". She claims and believes that if she drinks protein shakes every day and puts more protein in her diet, she'll get a bigger bum and all that. From what I know protein is for MUSCLE gain not fat. So does this mean her strategy won't work? How can I convince her that she's wasting her time and it'll never work. Or am I the one that's wrong??? Help!-

If you consume an excess of protein, that you aren't using for muscle mass via weight training, then that protein will be converted to fat. A calorie is a calorie. Protein has some 4 calories per gram, which is about the same as carbohydrates.Now, you really can't control WHERE the weight will go - that is based on genetics. A woman can wish really hard to gain fat in her butt, but her genes might put it all on her stomach.

I am going to use Nicole Ritchie, before pregnancy , for an example. If women are constantly going to be that size, then are clothing manufacturers going to change sizes of women's clothing to Micro. Seeing a woman that size shop in toddler girls is just ... weird.-

well it's a two way situation here, a lot of girls are starting to become thinner because of a minor eating disorder because the media keeps putting out the phrase 'thin is in' like in the 60's. but on the same note, there are way to many fast food places in america with unhealthy fattening food that makes many women in america obese. the manufacturers have made larger clothing sizes for stores to sell because of the growing weight in america but may have to start producing smaller clothing too. I think it would be a stupid idea to sell anything less then an xtra small because you're just promoting that thin is in. they should sell normal sized clothes, with the exeption of a few plus sizes because sometimes people can't help that they are obese.
