Learn The Fast Way To Lose Weight

Women S Weight Loss

Isabel De Los Rios is fast gaining the reputation of a rock star for women's weight loss. It is a title well-deserved. Her Flat Belly Solution program has helped thousands of women reach their fat loss goals, and more become followers each day.

You wouldn't think a 99-page eBook could generate such enthusiasm, yet day after day, women use personal weight loss blogs, health & fitness forums, and a network of Twitter accounts to validate the effectiveness of Isabel's nutrition plan.

Why Is Isabel De Los Rios Held In Such High Esteem?

  • She has been heavy and overweight. Her junior high and high school years were not as fun as they should have been because she carried 30 extra pounds. She knows what it is like to feel discouraged and conspicuous.
  • Isabel had to watch both her mother and grandmother suffer the debilitating effects of Type II diabetes, brought on by diets far too high in simple carbohydrates, toxins from sugar foods and processed foods, and no regular exercise.
  • While earning her degree in Exercise Physiology at Rutgers University, she did extensive research on natural weight loss and made herself the guinea pig for formulating sensible principles that could be duplicated by other women.
  • She admits it took her three years to integrate all of the principles she now teaches women to utilize in far less time.
  • The Flat Belly Solution is a program of sensible and progressive weight loss. There is nothing extreme in her protocol. Isabel stands firm on the safe fat loss of 1-2 lbs. per week.

The backbone of Isabel's Flat Belly Solution is two-fold. You will learn to eat consciously and you will learn to eat better by making food choices from Mother Nature. Isabel teaches you how to identify your personal Metabolism Type so that you can create meal plans to give you energy and enhance the metabolic process...NOT slow it down so that you store fat on your waist and hips.

By investing in Isabel's simple principles, women embrace the Flat Belly Solution program as a tangible guide for a more positive lifestyle that will keep fat off forever. To them, it is NOT just another novelty diet.

Is it any wonder that Isabel De Los Rios is hailed as the rock star of women's weight loss?

Post menopausal women and weight loss?
Is it true that it is almost impossible for a post-menopausal woman to lose weight? Through 'self-medicating' (food) myself through rough bumps the last 4-5 years of my life I've really packed on the weight. It's starting to affect me, big time. I've decided to give some sort of meal replacement for breakfast and/or lunch a try. This way, I won't just load up on calories throughout the day. 5. QUESTION:
Pain and weight loss. Women please.?
I've been going thru menopause for almost two years now. It's off and on, but mainly off. I've done all the rotten symptoms already, but I'm stuck on a few and they are really killing me.

I can't eat. I know most women don't loose weight when they go thru this, but I can't even eat a whole burger anymore. It's great if I can stomache 2 C of food a day. I try to watch my nutrition (proteins, veggies, vitamins) so I get at least SOME thing healthy.

Because of this, I have lost almost 40lbs. I'm under 120 and I'm 5'7". I'm loosing muscle mass and I look like my grandmother. (I'm 43). Here's the pain part. Because of the severe weight loss, I am getting bad cramps in my toes/feet and now fingers/hands.

Because of the cramping, it's effecting my sleep. I can't remember the last time I slept a full 8 hours straight. It's also ruining my sex drive. Because it's just the two of us living together, I don't make much in the way of large dinners anymore. I also have high energy/low energy days all the time. One day, I'm great (yesterday) and today, I'm down, no energy. I also have a pinched nerve in my back which effects my once sprained left ankle.

Major prob? My husband just got laid off and now I have to find a job. I need help or I will loose more weight working outside the house. I can't afford to be in any more pain, but I can't afford not to work.

Vitamins, healthy food, eating more, foot massages, sleeping on my stomach, no coke drinks, or much alcohol. PLEASE, what else can I do. I can't see the doc as I have no insurance/no job right now. I do have a health food store in town, so I'll try anything!

    • ANSWER:
I don't know what your financial situation is, but I don't think this will be too expensive:

Try increasing your iron intake. It's best to get iron through natural foods like spinach, because the human stomach isn't very good at digesting iron supplements. That will probably help with your energy problems.

Calcium, magnesium, and zinc taken together will help with your cramps, stabilize your mood -even if you feel stable you'll probably feel more stable- and might even help you sleep.

Mix a scoop of vanilla-flavored whey protein -not soy- with some orange juice. One scoop will have about half of your daily protein needs taken care of.

Greens + Protein bars. Check it out on Amazon. At first, they taste sort of moldy -thanks to the all the healthy vegetation in there- but you get used to the taste quickly, and they're great for you. One bar has 260 calories, all your B12 for that day, 140% of your recommended vitamin E, some vitamin A...tons of good stuff.

You'll also want to increase your intake of healthy fats. Butter and olive oil are in. Margarine and that sort of thing are out. You need those fats to absorb the limited vitamins you're getting.

As much as this probably sounds like hell, try to go for a 15-30 minute walk every day. It will improve your circulation and ease the cramps.

A sleep aid with valerian might be useful for you.

Whatever you do with these supplements, don't assume that they're safe or weak just because they don't totally originate from a lab. If something says to only take two tablets every four hours, don't take three every hour. Any sort of medicine changes the chemical balance of your body- which is exactly what you're after, but you have to be careful.

Be sure to stay hydrated. It almost sounds trivial when people say that you're dehydrated- I mean, you're not trying to suck moisture out of your computer, you feel fine, so are you really dehydrated? Well, here's the thing: humans are mostly water. It can't hurt to drink more water. Water with some lemon juice in it is good for making your blood more alkaline and killing off nasty things that might be setting up shop. (Yes, lemons are acidic, but apparently they turn alkaline in your blood. Who knew?) If you're drinking a lot but you're still always thirsty, try adding some salt (aka electrolytes) or getting your hands on some sports drinks. If that doesn't work...post another question and if I see it, I'll try to help.

I can't help you with the job part but this should help you feel better and make you more employable.

Best wishes for you and your husband.

  6. QUESTION:
Why do weight loss commercials only show the most unattractive women with those few extra pounds?
In those commercials and advertisements, they only show the worsely shaped, most flappy, most cellulite-type women where they mention losing weight and with those before/after photos.

I don't like those commercials. MOST women with those few extra pounds are actually sexually attractive. I LOVE women in their 140s, 150, 160s, even 170s. Women in their 250s are too heavy and do need to lose weight, I agree, but it's like they seem to want to avoid showing the majority of sexy full-figured women with those few extra pounds because it's like they're afraid that if they show how sexy most women really do look in their 150s or so with that nice big curvy as# and sexy thighs, that they won't be as encouraged to lose weight.

I think their after pictures are TOO skinny. In those "hydroxy cut" commercials, I found some of those semi-full figured women sexy in the before pictures.

If I could choose between the woman in her 110s and the women in her 140s, I would defintiely chose the 140s woman. I once massaged the thighs of two women at the same time, one in her 110s and one about 145 lbs., and I perfered the 145 lb. woman by far. I wanted to spend 2/3rds the time massaging her thighs. The 145 lb. woman sexually turned me on more because she had those curves.

But again, I do have my limits as well with a woman weight. I find 270 lb. women just as unattractive as skinny women, even 200 lbs. is a little too big for me. To me, women are sexist in their 130s to 150s, women in their 170s are full-figured but still sexy, but once they get up to around 200 lbs., they are just a little too big and DO need to lose weight.

  7. QUESTION:
What is the name of the women's weight loss pill that helps you lose weight but not from your chest?
I'll be honest, I love my boobs. I also realize, however, that I need to drop a few pounds. I'm on a great diet, and I'm losing weight, my friend scared me when she said "Kara, you know you're going to lose all that weight from your chest right?" I saw this commercial for women to lose weight and not from their chest, but i can't remember what the name was. It's the one with the cartoon of a women and her husband. Can you help me by telling me the name of the pill if you know it? I'd be totally thankful!! Thanks!!

    • ANSWER:
That pill would be Proactol, as it absorbs 28% of the fat from incoming foods and not fat already on your body. This helps you burn calories much faster and lose weight around the waist and legs. You can learn more about it below and where to buy, etc. Good luck with your search!

  8. QUESTION:
What's the best weight loss pill for women without having to exercise or diet?
My friend lisa weighs 180 and im worried for her health but she doesn't really have the time or stamina to diet or exercise and i wouldn't mind losing some weight myself.

    • ANSWER:
For the sake of your friends health (and her wallet) , try to avoid pills if possible.

Exercise does not have to be that time consuming or difficult. It can be as simple as walking & need only take 30 or so minutes out of your day (which is nothing really). Even walking 15 mins to school, work or the shops & 15 mins home again would be sufficient & enjoyable.

And eating healthy is not that hard. There are plenty of healthy options easily accessable out there, if you look hard enough.

  9. QUESTION:
Is papaya is good for weight loss and women's periods?

    • ANSWER:
Some people may need to lose 20 lbs. while others may need to lose 200 lbs, but the bottom line is, if you are reading this website then at least we know that you want to lose weight and become slimmer.

The scary thing is that many people selling and or publishing the various weight loss program do not really know what they are talking about and sometimes have not really tested their various programs.

The fact is that these days, we are conditioned to get results (in anything) fast. Hence %CPopular%D (and unpopular) weight loss methods assume that there is a limit to how quickly you can lose weight. This is far from the truth.

  10. QUESTION:
Which protein for women's weight loss? Whey or Soy?
Well, I came here to ask someone who actually KNOWS what they're talking about. Not to be rude but there are too many conflicting answers.. I've searched and some have said whey makes women gain weight. Some say it doesn't. Some people say that soy is too high in estrogen so it's bad for women. Some say it's good. Someone said that the flavored protein shakes gave their sibling bad acne (please tell me if this has happened to you or not)

So, I'm trying to lose weight. About 15 lbs. I would like to know which protein will help me lose the weight best. I do not lift weights. I walk/jog/run in the afternoon. I do NOT want to bulk up or gain any more weight. I would like to lose my excess fat. So, which protein would be best for me? Whey or Soy?

Also, I would like to be able to drink it for breakfast, since I do not have time for breakfast. And which brand would you recommend? Please tell me a low carb brand with no sugar that's reasonably priced, at least. I'm not going to listen to GNC. Waayy to overpriced. Thank you to whoever helps me

    • ANSWER:
If you're not lifiting weights or trying to build muscle, then you really don't need a protein supplement...such supplements don't promote weight loss, they help provide protien to build muscle tissue...eat right and do your cardio and that's truly all you need...

Eat plenty of lean protien in your daily diet, and you should get all that you need...I strength train and prefer the ready-to-drink protien shakes (such as EAS Carb Control or Muscle Milk Light which I purchase at WalMart)...I personally avoid soy for the most part because I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year (it's gone now) and have been advised to avoid soy because estrogen promotes the growth of some types of breast cancer...

Gaining weight is about calories in versus calories burned...if you want to drink whey protein, then just get a low cal or light version of it...ANYTHING can cause weight gain if you consume enough of it...the shakes I drink have 100 - 110 calories which is a lot lower than some options out there...

  13. QUESTION:
What is the best weight loss program for women in their 20's?

    • ANSWER:
I would recommend Nutrisystem. You purchase prepackaged meals which you supplement with fruit and vegetable servings. The program focuses on portions and meals with "good carbs." It is also the perfect option for those of us with limited time to prepare meals since most meals take just a couple minutes to prepare.
Another great feature is their free optional support. If you need to contact a counselor for needed support you may do so either through online chat, email or phone. You can also post or search messages through the member discussion boards. And if incentives keep you motivated, they send a Nutribear (a teddy bear) for every 10 pounds lost, simply for being a member.
Best of all, Nutrisystem also provides you with handbooks and tools which will help you stay on track and keep the weight off even after you are no longer on the program. You will learn the importance of eating appropriately throughout the day, portion control and better options when dining out.

As for the cost, any new members can receive a coupon good on their first 28-day program order. To receive the coupon via email, send an email to get.pampered@yahoo.com with the first name and email address which will be used when signing up for the program.

      Good Luck!

  14. QUESTION:
Women's weight loss: The importance of Calcium and Magnesium?
Since last December, I've lost 30 pounds... and recently, I've been reading about the importance of calcium and magnesium in women's diets. According to certain dieticians featured in O Magazine, greater levels of calcium and magnesium help a woman to loose weight more effectively. Can anyone back this up with other articles or personal experience?

    • ANSWER:
I hadn't heard about the magnesium, but I read about the calcium in a Curves publication. It said that the calcium causes us to produce less of a fat storing hormone.

I also found these sources on the internet:
      http://www.webmd.com/news/20000417/calcium-low-fat-diet
      http://irweb.swmed.edu/chn/naa/tipsheets/ca_wtloss.htm
      http://www.diet-blog.com/archives/2006/01/18/calcium_can_it_cause_weight_loss.php

The last one is skeptical about the connection. The first 2 believe it.

  15. QUESTION:
When women compliment you on weight loss?
How to take it? Should I take it as them showing interest, and liking how I look? Some of them keep bringing it up, like this one woman. She's complimented me like 3 or 4 times recently. Are they just saying things to be nice, or should I make a move?

    • ANSWER:
depends. are u the jolly fat man at the office?

  16. QUESTION:
Where on a woman's body does weight loss occur first?
Do women lose weight in one specific area first or is it different for every woman? I keep hearing that boobs are the first to go. But i don't have a large chest, so why wouldn't my body get rid of fat where i am the most chunky? Wouldn't that make more sense? Can someone please explain to me how women lose weight? Which parts of my body will get slimmer first (if that's even possible to tell)? Thanks in advance

    • ANSWER:
Everyone loses weight in their hands and fingers first. You most often notice weight loss in your wrists first. Breasts are also quick to lose weight and the hardest weight to lose for most is thighs, hips and butt, in that order.

  17. QUESTION:
    Weight loss for women?
I'm trying to get information on womens weight loss supplements, I've been working out but haven't gotten results that I want. I eat right I dont drink, if anyone has tried anything and it's worked for them please let me know!

    • ANSWER:
Supplements for fat loss don't work. They're all scams.

The best health experts in the world (the US National Institute of Health), the people US doctors listen to, advise you should never take a supplement without the recommendation of a health care professional because all supplements are potentially hazardous to your health as supplements do not have to be tested. The result is many supplements are contaminated, worthless, have false advertising or label claims, and may contain dangerous or worthless chemicals or substances.

Here's an example of one scam site (bodybuilding.com) which pretends to be a bodybuilding website but is really just a front for selling supplements as evidenced by this list of over 60 dangerous supplement products they were forced to recall and take off the market --> http://www.usrecallnews.com/2009/11/bodybuilding-com-supplements-recalled-may-contain-steroids.html . More here --> http://www.fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/SafetyInformation/SafetyAlertsforHumanMedicalProducts/ucm188957.htm?nav=rss

Bodybuilding.com is a good example why you should never buy supplements whether you want to burn fat, gain weight, build muscle, or are just hoping to improve your health. The scammers who sell junk supplements do so by using advertising, celebrity endorsements, fake testimonials, phony interviews and news reports, bogus reviews, and every other technique possible to convince you their product is safe and effective. They have saturated the internet with thousands of web sites so no matter what you search for, you'll only find glowing reviews of their products at the top of the search results. And, the result of this effort has led an entire generation of young people to believe in fat burners, diet pills, mass gainers, pre and post workout supplements and other junk which not only do we not need but which are ineffective, a waste of money, and possibly even hazardous. The voice of truth is relatively quite compared to the $billions spent on supplement advertising, so before you buy any supplements, inform yourself with the links below.

Scammers target the young, gullible, and naive demographic because they know they can sway them with greater ease than the older, wiser buying public. But, there are some easy questions you can answer using simple logic to be able to qualify a scammer as suspect. Here are some examples.

      • If there was an easy way to do hard things like burn fat or build muscle, why doesn't the whole world know about it? How could that be kept secret when that's what so many people desire?

      • If there was a supplement that helped people shed pounds, why doesn't your doctor recommend it? If you're overweight, why doesn't your physician just give you the pill or recommend the acai or HCG diet or whatever? Why are physicians always telling the same story about obesity and how to cope with it?

      • If there were supplements that could help burn fat or build muscle, why haven't the huge and powerful pharmaceutical companies taken them over? Why let the scammers like GNC and Weider continue to make $millions off the public when they have a much greater capacity for providing such products?

      • Why do people pay big bucks to have liposuction or stomach stapling if supplements could really help them to lose fat?

There is only one good answer to all of these questions. Most of the supplements which are supposed to make you lose fat, add muscle, grow taller, kill appetite, gain weight, bulk up, get ripped, etc. just don't work. It's really that simple.

If you just can't resist buying a supplement, at the very least make sure it bears the trademark logo and name of one of the following independent testing laboratories.
      • USP (US Pharmacopoeia)
      • ComsumerLab.com
      • NSF (NSF International)
Such testing does not guarantee effectiveness or safety but it's better than nothing. The best advice remains: Don't use supplements.

      Good luck and good health!!

  18. QUESTION:
What is a healthy weight loss in 30 days? plz read!!?
Tomorrow I'm starting Curves!!! It's a special cause they're doing a study on women and weight loss..but I have to work out at least 3 time s a week in 30 days(I migh tworkout everyday for 30 mins.) What should I expect in 30 days??>>>

    • ANSWER:
At first you may see a big number, that is due to water weight. After that you should see 2-3 pounds a week. So I am going to say you should drop anywhere from 8-12 pounds. ( The heavier you are the more you'll lose) That is losing weight healthy. If you lose anymore there is a good chance you will put it back on. Workout 3 times a week, change your eating habits. DON'T DIET! Just cut out the junk, drink more water, eat more fruits and veggies. In no time you'll drop weight and start to feel better about yourself.

After when you are maintaining I would give myself one cheat day. That way you can eat what you want without ruining all your hard work and effort. Good Luck

  19. QUESTION:
How long until P90X gave you weight loss results?
I am starting tomorrow and I was wondering how long it would be until I felt and saw a result in my tummy area? I'm not over weight; women's size 8 but since I had my daughter, I have had trouble losing the pooch under my naval and my love handles.

    • ANSWER:
I'm doing p90x right now (about a week) and i've already noticed some significant fat loss, i've been getting tons of compliments about how defined and big my arms look and i'm really excited. Don't always rely on the scale though...I've lost fat but gained muscle so if the scale doesn't say what you want it to that's okay, look in the mirror and you will SEE the results. Another key to weight loss is diet, I'm trying to lose weight quick to join the military so I'm eating nothing but lean meat and vegatables with about 200 calories a day. Make sure you give it all you have and really bring it when you're doing the workouts... I wish you the best of luck and really hope you can lose that unwanted goop.

Oh and don't listen to that acqui berry stuff it's just a scam, no single thing will help you lose weight quick.

  20. QUESTION:
What's a good diet supplement for weight loss in older women?

    • ANSWER:
My personal opinion is that you could take Acai Berry, is being used to help people lose weight because it is able to control the appetite of its users and it also increases metabolism. When metabolism rates increase, the body is able to burn foods faster and it will also burn the fat that is already stored in the body. The body will also receive more energy with increased metabolism, allowing individuals that exercise with a more rewarding workout.
The benefit that individuals receive when they use acai berry products is the influx of antioxidants. When a person has a diet that is high in antioxidants, they may notice that their body is better equipped to handle certain disease and sicknesses. The antioxidants help to repair cells that are damaged by the oxidation process that arises in the body. In addition, the body’s immune system is strengthened by the antioxidants.

  22. QUESTION:
Women...do these weight loss commercials annoy you too?
I just saw a commercial for a diet program or weight loss pill where this girl was walking in a bikini and said "I used to HATE my body" "I felt like a prisioner", etc...and it really bothered me because the woman was completely normal looking in her "before" home video. My husband and I both looked at each other with the same look and I said "she looked good before, she looked healthy"

Is this the newest thing thats supposed to make women and girls hate their bodies even more? I mean, it's one thing if there is an obese woman who really needs to lose weight for health reasons but what kind of message is it sending when they show a "before" picture of a healthy looking woman and depict her as fat and horrible"? Teenage girls look at that and say to themselves- if thats fat, then I must be really disgusting....

Is it just me or is this type of advertising really getting obnoxious?

    • ANSWER:
      Hell yeah they do!
I think the worst ones are the Metabolife ones, where they have the "unhealthy" chick on one side walking and then the supposedly the same but skinnier gal on the right talking about how much weight she's lost.

Or the spotlight one, where a heavier gal is walking through the market and feels like everyone is staring at her in her underwear? That really gets me...and the Marie Osmond Nutri-System ones drive me nuts.
It's like you can't feel good about yourself, no matter what! Someone is always watching and judging you!

I saw ads for it online. I'm curious if its just another scam, if it's bad for you, if it even works, etc.... Anyone tried it or even heard of it?? Thanks!!

I myself have not tried it, but a friend of mine did and she swears it works. As far as internet security goes, she hasn't had any problems, and she actually went past the free trial and started buying the product full price. She says that its been a month and she's already lost two pant sizes, so I would say it is worth a shot.

  34. QUESTION:
    Do women understand.....?
That Daytime TV is just rhetoric?

It tells you you are never to blame and are always the victim.

It's called playing to your base, in order to sell books and his show Dr. Phil need broken relationships to keep the money coming in.

I never feel that women understand it. Take a look at women weight loss for instance, they give you a diet that they KNOW you cannot keep up for ever so you will buy their next subscription.

This probably sounds really condescending but I really do feel that women or a lot of you anyway think it's all real and that it's not just engineering profit.

I also want women to tell men what are we marketed about women that is rhetoric to get us to feel better? PLEASE ANSWER THIS PART AT LEAST!!!

I know this wont get many answers because its not ''men are better at sport", "women lie more" or "men's grades are lower" or "scientists can make sperm so men are obsolete" but I would like at least a few views and answers.

    thanks.

    • ANSWER:
      1. You don't think women understand it? Look at cosmetics companies that were FOUNDED by women. Coco Chanel, Estee Lauder and their current owner Aerin Lauder are all women and they all play on women's insecurities in order to sell and make profits. Why do women fall into the next "big" gimmick? Well, I know some that do and some that don't. It all depends on how insecure about herself the woman is. I have known women who would pay for mascara and some who won't buy anything unless it is generic.

2.I think what men are marketed about women that is rhetoric is that we are naturally the better parent, that all we care about is your "size" and that all we are after is money. I know lots of men who are better dads than the females are mothers, penis size is just something women joke about because we know guys care and there are LOTS of women making more than their partners or are even with unemployed men but love them so do not care.

  35. QUESTION:
Foods for women's weight loss and good health?!? carbs and excersise?!?! (10 points to best!)?
Im 20 and weigh about 68 kgs and am 162 tall..ive been doing "boot camp" three times a week for three months and am now able to run with my dog non stop(i do this at least 4 times a week)

Now i feel ALLOT fitter and now enjoy exercise..its just im finding it hard to know what to eat as ive just toned up and not lost much weight at all!

-Is it better to eat before or after exercising and what foods?

-My friend who lost weight recently doesn't eat carbs EVER but i work two jobs and excersise, she doesn't need energy as she doesnt do anything, i think i need the energy - are there alternatives and what carbs should i eat if i have to.

    - what are some healthy snack..im dedicated just uneducated on what to do!!

thanks so much hope you can help :D

any question ill add them on!
8.30am a peice of vegimight toast or muslie - i dont really like breakfast though

1pm salad wrap/ sandwich or chicken burger or falafel...varies really

Dinner is spaghetti or pork/chicken/fish with salad or veg

I really dont eat the same foods over because im not sure so it varies allot

    • ANSWER:
One more time DO NOT WORRY ABOUT WEIGHT. Muscle weighs more than fat, so as you tone up, it's possible you could increase in weight while dropping several clothing sizes. Your measurements are a better indication of body fat percentage than your weight is, and body fat percentage is the thing you want to reduce.

As for carbs: no sugars, no starches. Complex carbs only, so Quinoa, brown rice, brown rice pasta/whole wheat pasta, cornmeal. Protein will also provide energy, and is better for you if you work out. Eat after exercising. Have a protein shake after exercising (get the whey isolates) so your muscles can absorb quicker to repair themselves.

  36. QUESTION:
    Weight loss question for women?
I'm wondering if there's a way I can lose weight but not lose my breasts. I like them just the way they are. :-D I need to lose my tummy and my back fat though.

    • ANSWER:
Its very difficult to reduce the fat on your tummy and back ,you need to be serious about diet and exercise, then only you can lose this fat.

  37. QUESTION:
Why is almost every diet plan and weight loss center focused on women?
I am a guy that cares about my health and looks and want to lose weight but almost every commercial I see for weight loss is only meant for women such as diet pills, diet food plans, and gyms/weightloss centers. Why don't they have stuff for both men and women or at least have the same amount of stuff focus on men's weightloss?

    • ANSWER:
hydroxycut, good product, gears towards both. so does lipo-6. i think its just the tv ads that you are getting this interpretation. if you pick up any issue of "Flex" magazine, or "Muscle & Fitness" and you will see all kinds of ads for men.

Woman watch more tv during the day, house wives, then men do. thus, it would be good marketing that they are geared towards woman.

  38. QUESTION:

  39. QUESTION:
Men and women: stretchmarks after weight loss...confidence?!?
Hey there. Okay...so I've had a question for a long time and I've always been to self conscious to ask it, but it's the internet soo....here goes.. Heh.

I'm 18 years old, and I used to be a lot bigger then I am now (went from 220 lbs to 160, woot) and I'm blessed not to have saggy skin and stuff. However, I have RED stretchmarks on my lower stomach. I dont have any on my legs, but I have cellulite. Ugh, it's awful, but I'm told a part of life. I'm very comfortable with my body and happy with my results...but my stretchmarks are holding me back. I dont wear 2 piece swimsuits b/c of them on my stomach, and I cant even FATHOM my boyfriend seeing them. We've been dating 6 months, but we plan to wait until we're married to have sex...but still!

ANY help would be appreciated. Ladies: do you have stretchmarks, how can I get rid of them and or learn to deal/cope/be proud? Men: are they disgusting to you?
also, my bf doesnt know i have them...should I tell him? is it any of his business? if so, how do i go about it? somehow i doubt "honey, i have hideous red marks all over my stomach" would go over too well..

    • ANSWER:
give your stretch marks some time, they will fade, mine were super red and now they are just lighter than my skin. i used all that stretch mark creams and it didnt really work. i started using some vitamin E (liquid form) on the marks and they seemed to fade faster.

as for the cellulite, try to get blood flowing to that part of your body. when im in the shower i kinda rub my legs firmly and that seems to help me. (others may say nothing works but this helped me)

Also, you dont need to concentrate on your flaws, just appreciate your new beautiful body and concentrate on the things that you LOVE about yourself. this iswhat i have done, and although i have stretchmarks on my legs, hips, tummy, and butt, i still wear shorts and yesterday (for the first time) i wore a bikini top. you just need to get used to your new body, and wear whatever feels comfortable to you.

and theres no real need to tell your boyfriend that you have these imperfections. trust me, if he really loves you, he will not care about these things. plus, sometimes guys can be oblivious to things. i once had 2 different flip flops on, and when i aske my bf why he didnt tell me, he didnt even realize....

      so in short:
      1. the marks will fade; try some itamin E
      2. learn to love/apreciate your body
      3. dont tell your boyfreind about something you feel self conscious about. think of it this way; if you dont point it out, he may not even notice.

      Best of luck to you

  40. QUESTION:
Weight loss supplement help? Women Only.?
I'm looking for some weight loss help, to remove the pounds I gained in recovery. I herd taking fish pills is good cause of the good fat in them, and I've been taking hormone balancers cause that's one of the major reason's women can't lose weight. I've also been taking a supplement called "fucothin" which is a brown seaweed extract, as well as shots of noni and acia berry. Any other helpful ideas?
I've also started a balanced diet and a good excersise plan just looking for a little extra help. Thanks <3

    • ANSWER:
When I was dieting (and believe me I still watch my weight even though I have achieved my weight loss goals for the most part) I realized right off that the most important thing is to control your appetite. If your stomach's not always growling and your not always craving food it is sooo much easier to stick to your guns and stay on your diet. With hoodia I would literally go a whole day sometimes and simply forget to eat and I didn't get tired and run down like diets can sometimes make you feel. Once my appetite was under control and I wasn't always thinking about eating then and only then could the weight start coming off consistently and steadily because the hoodia kept my mind off of food and I would go longer on my diet and as I did that naturally I lost weight. You have to remember that consistency is very important when losing weight. If you cut back a little on your food consumption everyday your body will change (stomach will shrink and you won't be eating as much) and with that consistency over a few days, weeks and months you will lose weight just like I did. Hoodia was my saving grace for all of these factors. Hope this helps!!! GOOGLE: online health desert burn hoodia :to read all the good info. you need to accomplish your goals.

  41. QUESTION:
Does weight loss influence the size of women's breasts?
I'm 17. Six months ago, my weight dropped drastically because of my eating habits, but now everything is normal and i'm thinner than last time but since then, i realized my breasts are smaller too. Is it true that if we get thinner, women's breasts will shrink as well? If so, what are the ways to get my usual breasts size before my weight loss( excluding plastic surgery)? Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
yes. most of a woman's breast is fatty tissue on top of glandular tissue. your breasts won't shrink themselves -- but they will seem smaller as the skin has been stretched at one point from being bigger and skin that streches in that area can be tricky to get to tighten back up. this depends on age, ethnicity, diet and genetics.

to get your usual breast size, you'll need some fancy bras!

i have this problem as well. maybe one day i'll get them lifted (surgery).

in the meantime, learn to love your body. find some photos of nude women of all ages on the web on a naturalist or photographers website. it will make you feel better. ;)

  43. QUESTION:
Why are women so preoccupied with their weight?
OK, first of all, I want you to realize I'm not trying to push anyones buttons. I just want some honest answers, analysis or insight. In the US especially, women are obsessed with weight loss and dieting. Why? Is it the media - i.e. TV, magazines who are to blame- or is there something else?. At the checkout aisle at my local supermarket I noticed that on the cover of every single women's magazine there is information about weight loss, some new fad diet, some new miracle food, some new quick fix. They are essentially diet magazines masquerading as content.

    • ANSWER:
Media like you mentioned does influence things... women too notice those things and it sets a standard of "oh, that's what's explected/desireable". But more so, its the sense of self image and comparing ones self to another women and being very aware of guys treatment and attention they give to various women. Women can be very snide with making comments about that little pudge, body figure, and praising the skinniest girls. So often, you find that guys are often checking out that slim little figure. You date guys that will say one minute "oh, you're pretty skinny, you can gain a little weight", but then they turn around and hit on the next girl thats way more slim. Girls that have been chubby when younger (sometimes its just the slightest amount of pudge) get ingored by guys and put down by girls, and especially for those who really work hard on loosing weight later in their early 20's suddenly get a ton more attention and better treatment (often these ladies can be the most insecure about gaining weight again, and the most persistant at watching diet and body image). Haven't you ever noticed that ladies in a committed, and especially married relationship have far less concern over body image? (typically gaining 5-20 lbs in the first two years of their relationship). Which is why if you go for the women who's been single and slim past 25yrs of age, you'll more likely find that she's more persistant with "keep slim = keep attractive" (more years of trying to attract attention)

  44. QUESTION:
    Women: weight lost question?
One of my friends recently lost what seems to be atleast 30 pounds over a 2-3 period. I see her atleast once or twice a week. I just saw her last night and she looked like she LOST it all over night when I saw her the previous week she looked the same.. Is that normal/healthy? I know she's been working out and eating healthy.

*Sorry for asking this in here, I couldn't get an answer in weight loss

    • ANSWER:
2-3 weeks or 2-3 months? That's really excessive in 2-3 weeks. If I were her parents, I might be worried that she's a Type 1 diabetic. While 30 pounds in 2-3 months is a lot, it's at least in the realm of possibility.

  45. QUESTION:
When it comes to hair loss and weight gain, why is there a double standard between men and women?
Why is it more acceptable for men to lose their hair and to gain weight while women are scrutinized for the same battle men fight against every day. Millions of women suffer from male pattern boldness as well as we do weight gain. It's just as heartbreaking and shameful for us women as it is for men however our double standards says a woman is basically unworthy if she is over weight or suffers from hair loss. Ironically, a lot of women is to blame for perpetuating such double standard by judging other women by the length of our hair and the mass of our bodies. No wonder so many of us has low self esteem. Why do we live by these two particular double standards?

  47. QUESTION:
    Weight Loss pill for women?
Ok, so there's this commercial out there (haven't seen it on TV in over a week) that is for a diet pill specificially for women who have trouble losing weight due to hormones and stress. It's a commercial with a couple, they're just sketch drawings, and the husband continuously loses weight and the wife loses a couple pounds and complains. Anyone seen this one? Does anyone know which product that's for? I cannot remember what the product is and I'd like to look into it. Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
Do NOT take diet pills! They are dangerous!!

Last year I was visiting my parents and took diet pills on top on my exercise routine and normal diet. I was 26 at the time, 5'11, 180 lbs. By week three I was sick. I had diarrhea, dry heaves, dizziness, headaches, and a general feeling of being sick. I thought I had caught the flu or something. I had lost 13 lbs in 4 days. One morning I told my mom I didn't feel good. My vision kept blacking out and I felt (for lack of a better way to say it) stoned. Later that afternoon I was walking from the bathroom to my bedroom (a 5 foot walk) and I passed out. I was rushed to the hospital emergency where they did a bunch of tests on me.

My pulse was up to 120, My blood pressure was 150/40, they had to start me on an IV, the did an EKG on me, took blood and urine samples, and a whole barrage of other tests.

They finally got me stabilized and said that I was dehydrated and malnutritioned. I told him that I took diet pills. When I mentioned diet pill, the doctors face lit up and said that's why. He said they can cause a whole bunch of health problems, including death. He told me to toss the diet pills or next time I might not be so lucky.

I was kept in the hospital for almost 10 hours, given 3 or 4 IVs, potassium, juices, and monitored (by the EKG, blood pressure, and heart rate machines) every 15 minutes.

Please take my story as a warning. If you seriously want to loose weight there are better ways (I know because I've lost weight after this)

The quickest way is to cut out red meats, starches, breads, sugars, alcohol, and sodas.

Eat veggies (salads are good), soups, and drink TONS of water. If you get hungry between a meal, drink water to fill up.

In moderation eat white meats, and fruits (fruits contain natural sugars, and that can put on weight)

Practice portion control. Yes, you'll feel hungry at first, but think of your goal, and soon your stomach will start shrinking and you won't have that feeling anymore.

Eat 5 times a day. A small breakfast. A mid-morning snack, such as an apple. A small lunch. A mid-afternoon snack, such as carrots. A lite dinner. Do not eat any later than 7pm (6pm is better.)

Go exercise for at least an hour - two a day, incorporating weight training along with your cardio. Cardio helps to melt the fat, while weight training builds muscle. Muscle burns fat, even when you are resting. You get the idea. It also gives tone and definition. Also do a few yoga and pilates exercises to help tone those hard to reach and stubborn areas

  48. QUESTION:
What does a woman's weight loss or gain while in a new relationship say about the relationship?

    • ANSWER:
I was overweight throughout my teens. I met my now Fiance when I was 21, I am now 24.

Within the first six months of our relationship, i'd lost 60 pounds.

My son is 8 months old and I'm smaller than when he was born.

I lost weight because I was HAPPY. My Fiance made me feel beautiful and I stopped caring and obsessing over what I looked like, infact I didn't even THINK about it. My mind devoted no time.

I probably ate McDonalds four times a week.

Stressed? No. Dieting? No. Unhappy? No. In love? Yes.

  49. QUESTION:
Any young women know of a good weight loss pill?
I am not super overweight, only slightly, so pounds don't shed off of me when I work out and diet. It takes awhile, like most things in life. What I'm really looking for is something that's going to give me more energy and curb my appetite so I can portion better. Food is my biggest weakness at this point. Do any women know of a weight loss pill that you TRIED and worked for you? Please let me know pros and cons in your opinion. Thanks for the help!
And I DO WORKOUT. I have a gym membership and go to three classes a week and do my own workout there on the days I don't attend class. So for those who want to give my their words of wisdom and tell me to stop being lazy blah blah blah. That's NOT what I'm looking for. Like I said, if anyone can share their personal experience with me about a particular weight loss pill that gave them more energy and curbed their appetite, that would be wonderful. All other opinions aren't asked for or needed. Thanks.

    • ANSWER:
Currently, most available weight loss drugs approved by the FDA are for short-term use, meaning a few weeks or months.

One type of weight-loss medication is "appetite suppressants." These drugs generally come in the form of tablets or extended-release capsules (pills that release medication over a long period of time). Appetite suppressants can be obtained by a doctor's prescription or purchased over the counter. One common prescription appetite suppressant is phentermine.

Another type of prescription weight loss drug is a fat absorption inhibitor. Xenical is the only example of this type of treatment approved for use in the U.S. Xenical works by blocking about 30% of dietary fat from being absorbed. Xenical is now sold over-the-counter as Alli.

Xenical is the only weight loss drug approved for longer-term use in significantly obese people, although the safety and effectiveness have not been established for use beyond two years.
