The Flat Belly Solution Diet, created and continually updated by nutritional author Isabel De Los Rios, is uncomplicated, realistic, and best of all...it works. The basis of its foundation lies in eating naturally provided foods, and eating a solid protein source with each meal.
That's it. Tight, unvarnished, nothing fussy. Women have made the Flat Belly Solution a best-seller because it is simple to initiate, it is uncomplicated, and it is easy to maintain. Once you have studied Isabel's eating principles, you naturally make much better food choices to augment weight loss.
Isabel pretty much wraps up the premise of her program on page 15 in her book when she says, "Maybe your most important step toward weight loss and overall health is to identify which foods to eat. To save yourself a lot of time, just follow this guideline: If it's natural a" that is, it grows or otherwise occurs in naturea"eat it; if it's artificial, don't. In other words, if a food contains ingredients that you can't pronounce or define, steer clear."
What weight loss plan could be more readily defined? It is one of the principal reasons why women promote Isabel's program on a wide number of women's health & fitness forums, weight loss blogs, and across a myriad of Twitter accounts.
However, possibly the most compelling reason women have adopted the Flat Belly Solution is because they DO NOT see it as just another fad diet. The unprecedented popularity of Isabel's program comes from women viewing it as a concrete and significant blueprint for creating meaningful changes in their lifelong eating habits. Isabel provides an important bridge to a more positive lifestyle.
Over 65,000 women have begun the Flat Belly Solution Diet and more purchase it each day. It has been driven to best-seller status because it is natural, uncomplicated and effective.

QUESTION:
Why do women lose weight after getting married?
Since I got married a little over a year ago, my wife has been exercising a lot, losing weight, eating healthier, and motivating me to do the same. Not only that, but she has stopped watching TV and instead reads books or works in the garden outside.I thought women were supposed to start putting on weight, getting lazy around the house, and complaining about things all the time.
-
ANSWER:
She's trying to drive you away.
Sorry...

QUESTION:
Why don't fat women lose weight before they get married?
Would you want to remember your wedding day as being porky? I've never understood why fat women who are getting married don't lose weight before the wedding. I'd hate to look back on my wedding photos and see like 4 chins. What are you doing to get into shape before your wedding?
-
ANSWER:
If a fat woman doesn't want to look back at wedding pictures and see she's fat, then she wouldn't want to look back at ANY picture and see she's fat. What you're saying is very ignorant. Obviously, either they are struggling with their weight or they are content with it. If you are concerned about YOUR weight, then you don't need to be fat for your wedding day--but what you believe doesn't apply to everyone else.

QUESTION:
How can women lose weight and tone up in 3 months?
I want to lose 15 pounds over the summer break for JR year. My mom was buying me a weight set and i planned on working at it all over summer. I need to know what protein powder is best to use and i would like a good schedule to use for working out.-
ANSWER:
You don't need any protein powder. Weight loss is an overall process and there are no magic answers. Pay no attention to weight loss supplements and pills and all the latest fads. You need to think about many factors but most of them are related to issues we've known about for a very long time. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.
Make a few additional small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.
Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one.
In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.
Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don't. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies.
Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day.
Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.
Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body.
Vary your routines. Don't eat the same number of calories every day (vary your calories from 1400 a day to 1900 or 2000 some days), eat a variety of foods, and do different kinds and amounts of exercise. You will lose weight much more efficiently if you mix things up from time to time so that your body doesn't adjust to any one routine.
An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.

Will Hillary Make Women Lose Weight to Fight Health Care Costs?
Being overweight is one of the biggest contributors to high medical costs. And, women tend to live longer than men --- meaning that they live a long time during the "expensive" years of getting healthcare --- after a person turns 70 years old. Then after tackling this big area, we can move on to getting men to lose weight.-
ANSWER:
I think in there, she should encourage us to eat more so we die faster, thus saving money, If we live a long time then we are still
having illnesses and dragging it out over a longer period of time.taking up spaces in doctors offices. Elect Me!!! I can solve all the problems!!!!!

QUESTION:
Do women normally keep the same body proportions as they lose weight?
When women lose a lot of weight, do we normally keep the same body proportions? Like breast/hip/waist proportions. Is it possible to change body shape, like go from an hourglass to a pear or whatever other shape? Can you go from having proportionally large breasts for your size to having proportionally small breasts? Or lose more weight on the hips then waist or vice versa? I'm just curious really. If you've lost a lot of weight, what was your experience?-
ANSWER:
Im no expert but body fat does not preferentially burn from one spot than any other. You'll either lose it all over or not at all so in that sense proportions should remain the same. Where it'll vary is what you do to tone your body if you do more upper body than lower body you'll look leaner on your upper half and visa versa.

Why do women want to lose weight? Disregard the "how they lose weight."?
Not interested in how women lose weight. A simple google search will bring up millions of examples of the, "How women lose weight." Not interested in the how, only interested in the why.-
ANSWER:
well one reason is definitely to look better than others, then, to attract attention of other people, to increase self-esteem, to be healthy, and of course, due to the social stereotypical belief and acceptance of girls who seem to be frail and timid. often, the girls are raised in a way which encourages the thin body type. then there are those who want to look like the magazine cover - girl so goes on a anorexic diet. many girls lose weight because they are stressed or depressed and they stop or decrease eating. but that is involuntary weight loss. girls with right weight might want to lose weight coz they have a distorted body perception of themselves.

QUESTION:
How do women lose weight and still retain their breast size?
I was very big on top in middle school (a D in sixth grade before I got really heavy in high school). I lost a lot of weight (over 100 pounds in my older teenage years). Unfortunately, I'm barely an A cup now (sometimes a double A).I've had two kids and go up to a double D during pregnancy and breast-feeding, but come down to a boyish-flatness afterwards. I worked out and got to an 18.7 BMI with fab abs (I am only 5' 3", but 18 BMI happens at about 125 for me)
I was not heavy when I initially got my breasts. I even went into a plastic sugeon when I was 12 to talk about breast reduction.
Is there any way I can control my breast size to keep it larger (my bras are literally every size), but still keep myself muscular and under 140?
I've tried uping my protein, but it's effect has been minimal. Am I doomed to being flat and thin or curvy and overwhelmingly voluptuous? Is there any way I can strike a middle ground?
My numbers aren't off at all. I am blessed to be in a 5' 3" body, I am at an 18.5 at 125 lbs if I'm lifting regularly. I'm not complaining there.I just want my "boobs" back. No matter what my diet/working out (wether it be predominantly liftin or weight excercises or balancing it with cardio) my breasts are always under a B until I hit 140 in which I don't feel comfortable that I' healthy.
I just don't understand why I had Ds going into the puberty game while I was thin, I wrked and I worked after being morbidly obese and now I'm flat if I'm at a healthy weight.
I'm not complaining...just looking to see if anyone has had experience with a solution.

ANSWER:
when you lose weight they are the first thing to go and you just have to be happy with they body you have. do you want to be fat with big boobs or skinny with little ones?

QUESTION:
Why do women want to lose weight? Disregard the, "Why" women want to lose weight.?
Not interested in how women lose weight. A simple google search will bring up millions of examples of the, "How women lose weight." Not interested in the how, only interested in the why.-
ANSWER:
Most want to because society says thin is beautiful and overweight is unattractive. Some want to be healthy. Many women loose weight to impress a potential boyfriend or to impress their female friends. Most women that do loose weight end up gaining it back too, plus some. I think unless you are very overweight you should try to accept yourself for what you are. It is more unhealthy to gain and loose over and over than to stay at a steady weight. Not everyone was meant to be a size two.

QUESTION:
Why does the media make full-figured women lose weight?
Everytime a new full-figured female entertainer becomes popular, she is bombarded with negative press about her size, until she finally loses weight or just becomes unpopular. They may not literally say "Lose some weight!" But the tabloids will focus on her size soo much that she feels obligated to do something!
Perfect examples are Jennifer Lopez, and Beyonce'. The used to have some "back" but they were probably SO tired of the booty comments that they got rid of it!Why do women have to have small butts to be successful?
Why can't America handle the 'plus size' Booty" ???
And is Jennifer Hudson gonna be the next victim?
-
ANSWER:
Why do you care what size woman's butts are? That is probably why the women decide to lose weight because men like you are so focused on the size of the booty. The best thing for you to do is just focus on the booty size of your girlfriend or wife and leave the celebs to the celebs.

QUESTION:
why is it harder for women to lose weight than men?
why do men lose weight quicker than women? seems like it takes forever, seriously.-
ANSWER:
1. Men have more muscle mass genetically than women, which burns more calories (so women who build whatever muscles we can lose weight faster than other women).
2. Women have more fat mass genetically than men. Ideal percentages of Body Mass Index for men are lower percentage fat than women. When you lose weight you want to lose fat (no muscle or bone), so men are an advantage here too.
3. Dieting itself re-sets the body's thermostat lower to where it is more difficult to lose weight. It's like the body says "oh no you don't get rid of any of this fat" and lowers it's metabolic rate. Since women tend to diet more than men, they get worse and worse at losing as the body gets better and better at keeping it on. (the only way to fight against this body fat thermostat is exercise regular almost every day and never stop -- this will burn the fat). It's not fair, but that's the biology behind it. Fat percentage is related to a woman's fertility. At low body fat percentages, a woman will not ovulate, and will therefore be less fertile. This has been a problem with women gymnasts, athletes, dancers and models who get very thin -- they stop ovulating and get into all kinds of hormonal trouble. So retaining fat is a healthy thing for reproduction. Most cultures before ours honored plump women as healthy, as evidence by renaissance paintings of beautiful women as ample (large) curvy bodies.

Why is it so hard for women to lose weight?

Stop taking the pills and make some life style changes if you really do need to lose weight. Weight loss is an overall process and there are no magic answers. Pay no attention to weight loss supplements and pills and all the latest fads. You need to think about many factors but most of them are related to issues we've known about for a very long time. QUESTION:
Plus size women- did you lose more weight after the baby?
Did any plus sized women lose more weight and actually drop sizes after they had their baby? My husband seems to think I will loose a lot of weight after I have the baby. I lost 20 pounds in my first trimester. I am now 23 weeks and have gained 4 of those pounds back. He thinks that with the baby we'll be so busy and active that I'll end up losing a lot of weight.
Has anyone had this happen to them?-
ANSWER:
I'm not plus size, but I am pretty close. It honestly depends on what you do after the baby is born. I gained like 26 pounds during my pregnancy. I slimmed up a little bit, but I got on the depo shot and gained 30 more pounds. It didn't matter how active I was with my child, the shot screwed up my hormones. So, if you want to loose the weight and then some extra, get one of the little things that squeeze in your stomach and thighs. Where it after the baby is born, and it will help to get some of the extra fluid and air left after the baby's birth. And drink lots of fluids!! Your body contains a lot of weight gaining toxins after your baby is born, so the extra water flushes this out and in turn, aids in weight loss. Good luck with the baby when it comes. Those first few months are the most precious ones.

Or does it just help shrink uterus and lose volume in your breasts. I gained weight all over with this pregnancy and feel fatter on my legs and upper arms and back, is it possible that I will lose that fat while breastfeeding?-
ANSWER:
Losing weight is losing weight. There is nothing that will cause weight loss in only a specific area.(toning is a different story) You'll lose fat all over with breastfeeding. It does shrink your uterus though.

QUESTION:
How can I lose weight?* Women answers only*?
I am 5' 4 and I weight 150lbs; I am out of shape and I want to get down to maybe 135lbs by mid April. Do you have any workout /healthy eating plans that worked for? Maybe some exercise DVDs or something you got from a wbsite or magazine? Sports I could do? Anything would help.
*please not mean, rude or nonhelpful answers*-
ANSWER:
I know you said women only but as a trainer I couldn't pass this question up.
Do Pilates it's the perfect amount of cardio and will teach you great stretches and form.Eating-- increase your water intake and decrease sodas, energy drinks all that high fructose and sugars.
Eat egg whites and wheat toast for protein in the morning (or drink a whey protein shake)Grilled chicken and fish for lunch and dinner with brown rice, vegetables something low carb. Switch it up and add a salad with dinner and some fruit for dessert if you must.
remember not eating makes you store fat so keep your metabolism up by eating every 3-4 hours.
If you go to your local health and nutrition shop you can ask them for a eating plan and it will give you a list of foods that will be best for you.
You're not going to get 20lbs off by April but you will see a significant change in your body as you develop these habits in about 2-3 months.

QUESTION:
What's a healthy way for young women to lose weight?
I've gained weight since moving in with my fiance and I want to lose the weight but he's not being as supportive. He likes me the way I am but I hate it. I need some advice.-
ANSWER:
Healthy, natural weight loss is the same for men and women - of al ages. In America, we tend to eat more refined sugar and carbs than other cultural diets.Get rid of the sugar and simple carbs from your diet. The first phase of South Beach Diet (and other similar diets) is very helpful to help reform your eating habits into something you can live with for a long time - and you don't go hungry all day, either.
Next, you have to incorporate regular, reasonable exercise into you WEEKLY routine. Exercise doesn't work as a "binge" activity - only when you feel fat.
Something as simple as going for a walk every night, or riding a bike for 30 minutes each day is a great start. If you start riding a bike, try and go away from your house for 30 minutes, then turn around. Don't have to go fast. You've just ridden for an hour, and if you do that every other day that may be all you need to lose a couple of dress sizes very quickly.
Hope that helps. As far as support from your fiance, try to build the mental self-discipline that you're doing this FOR YOU. Not for him. Yes, he'll enjoy the benefits. But this is for YOU.

QUESTION:
Why do women always lose too much weight?
Each time I see a young girl lose weight, she looks anorexic or sometimes as if she was rescued from a concentration camp (or almost).I see women go on a diet who are absolutely fine. Don't they know that men actually like a bit of roundness here and there? And if you have a bit of a stomach, well so do we, and guess what, few of us look like Brad.
-
ANSWER:
Well, for me it's my own competition with other females. I like going into a club and knowing I'm in the top 5 as far as hotness.I agree that some girls take it too far and are too skinny. But that's because they are worried just about their ''weight'' as opposed to all around fitness.

QUESTION:
Why is it harder for women to lose weight than it is for men?
Like that commercial, with the cartooned woman and the stick for a husband. How can we, women, eat the same as men, drink the same, exercise the same, yet lose NOTHING? And it seems to fall off of men? Can someone explain so I can get my fat butt back to the gym?-
ANSWER:
i think it's because it's easier for men to build muscles with all their testosterone, which means they burn more calories on a daily basis than women, which means they get to eat more and still lose/maintain weight.Plus I think it's natural for women to be fatter because of our hormones...and something about preparing us for having a baby.

QUESTION:
Can women lose weight during pregnancy?
Will this affect the baby's growth, health and progression?-
ANSWER:
Physically, they can. Women who were overweight at the beginning of the pregnancy but go on a healthier baby-friendly diet can lose at least some weight, as can women who have such severe morning sickness that they find it difficult to keep their food down.As a general rule, it's not a good idea. You need to have enough nutrients to provide for both you and the baby, and it can make both of you quite sick if you aren't getting enough to eat. You can generally get away with gaining *less* weight if you're already overweight, but you always do want to put on some.
