I bet you’re sick and tired of carrying around those extra pounds, that’s understandable. Just ten pounds of extra fat on the body can affect the way you feel physically and mentally. While losing weight fast is possible, you want to make sure that you are following a good plan that will keep you healthy.
Shedding more than one or two pounds a week can lead to health problems. While TV programs like The Biggest Loser regularly show their overweight contestants losing huge amounts of weight each week, keep in mind that those people are closely supervised by medical professionals, plus the show is heavily edited, so you don’t know if it took longer for them to lose all that weight.
I’m sure it’s tempting to try and copy that type of rapid weight loss, but you’re much better off focusing on one or two pounds per week. That way, you won’t put yourself under a lot of pressure to lose xx amount of pounds rapidly. The reality is that if you don’t reach those big numbers, you’ll probably just give up and think that you’re a failure.
Here’s some sensible ways that you can safely drop those pounds:
Eat Breakfast
A lot of people trying to lose weight assume that if they skip breakfast that means that they are going to drop weight more quickly. Actually, this is false, because when you eat breakfast in the morning, your body will burn more calories at a higher rate.
Go Low-Cal with Fast Food
Sometimes you’re in a rush and simply have to stop by the fast food place for a bite to eat. This can be your worst temptation. The eating habits you have followed for so long can lure you into going the old burgers and fries route.
However, you can still eat healthy in this situation. Go ahead and order a salad, or grilled chicken sandwich, a healthy sub, fruit, yogurt, etc.
Eating a healthier lunch will make you feel energized instead of sluggish.
Go for a Walk
Studies show that 90% of people who lose weight and gain it back do not exercise regularly. Walking is an easy, low-impact exercise that you can do in the morning, during break, at lunchtime or in the evening.
Keep an extra pair of sneakers with you in the car or in your workplace so you can quickly go out for a brisk, refreshing walk. You’ll not only keep the pounds off, but you’ll be amazed at how exhilarated you feel afterwards.
Don’t Munch While Watching TV
Put away those snacks when you go to watch your TV shows. You’re way more likely to gain extra pounds by sitting in front of the TV set munching on a bowl of ice cream or bag of cookies. Don’t try to convince yourself that you’ll just have a little bit, because you know that by the time your shows end, one cookie will have turned into a whole bag.
Instead, try doing something else with your hands like doodling, sketching, coloring, knitting, folding socks, writing in your journal, petting your dog or cat, etc.
Drink Water
Carry around a water bottle with you. If you do feel the urge to snack or eat something fattening, you can grab your water and take a nice long drink. Water fills you up and curbs your appetite. Plus, it’s good for you too.
I hope these tips are helpful and I wish you much success in reaching your weight loss goals.

What are your best tips for weight loss success?

ANSWER:
I wish you had posted your present workout plan, but I can give you some tips to get you too the next phase of fitness. If you can do LISS(low intensity steady state), early morning easy walking, even on a treadmill for 40mins on an empty stomach, you will burn fat, while holding onto your LBM(lean body mass), which is the key for you to burning fat. Always remember, if you do cardio and weights correctly, you will hold onto LBM, so you can burn fat. If you do things like run on a day you lift weights, you will burn up muscle, a no no, so always choose LISS early morning and 20mins after weights. If you want to run, or do run intervals, only run on days you don't lift weights.....so again, you hold onto muscle.
For meals, you should be eating 5-6meals per day, protein/carbs/healthy fats(I wonder why you cut out complex carbs?) They are what supports energy building for LBM, along with protein and healthy fats.....so you boost your metabolism all day. You need to have the proper ratios to support LBM. Eat things like lean steak, grilled chicken breast, tuna, 1-yolk with 2 whites, toast, oatmeal, potatoes, cheerios, olive oil lightly drizzeled over your salad, 4 walnuts, danon light yogurt....with these choices, you can form 5-6 small meals or 2 as snacks easily!
If you can eat properly to support LBM, and ignore the scale weight, you will look terrific! The above are some of the rules and tips I use for my clients for success! With all my clients, they learn that the scale moves slowly or not at all, or sometimes they gain, but that is because their muscle to fat ratio is so high, and muscle weighs more, but they lose inches and feel great, and need to buy new clothes!
I hope this helps! Good luck!

QUESTION:
What are some good tips for summer weight loss?
I'm hoping to lose weight for next summer, and I'm looking for some good weight loss tips.-
ANSWER:
After reading a lot of weight loss tips, I’ve caught myself saying “I’m not going to be able to do that!” I’m sure that we all have. A good summer weight loss tip is going to have to be something that you’d actually do, obviously. Keeping that mind, I hope that you’ll find the following weight loss tips helpful to you. Over the years they have helped me maintain my current weight, and they’ve also helped me lose weight as well. These are some of the easiest and most effective weight loss tips I’ve found. At first, when I started trying to lose weight, I went along with the traditional attitude that eating snacks in-between meals was counter-productive to an effective weight loss program. I cut out snacks from my diet altogether as a result of that belief. I found that the problem was that by the time I sat down to start eating my meal, I was so hungry that I couldn't control my portion sizes efficiently.
I found that I can keep my blood sugar at a decent level (and keep my appetite satisfied too) by eating more healthy and sensible snacks in between smaller meals. In fact, over the more recent years, research has shown that you can keep your body’s metabolic rate productive and steady by eating smaller meals spaced out throughout the day rather than the traditional “3 square meals” ideology. You can mix your carbs and proteins when selecting your snacks. Low-fat cheese on some wheat crackers and some grapes would be a great example of a healthy snack.
Portion control can be better managed, and if not, it will become a large stumbling block. You can purchase smaller, single serving foods, and use plastic bags to enforce portion sizes. You can always use regular sized foods, but use small plastic bags to separate out smaller portions in case buying single-sized foods turns out to be too much of a strain on your budget. That’s a great weight loss tip, since sometimes eating straight from the original packaging will cause you to eat more than you should.
The calories in the food will count just as much, even if the food is advertised as either low-fat or reduced in fat. Be sure to double-check your serving size by reading the food’s nutrition label. After measuring out the appropriate serving sizes, you can then store them in your plastic bags.
Another one of the greatest weight loss tips is ice water! Place a small bottle of water in your freezer. This is a great idea to keep your water cold, and most weight loss programs recommend drinking water anyway. After some time, the water will form a small block of ice inside the bottle as it begins to freeze. That small block of ice will continue to keep the surrounding water very cold as it melts.
Sometimes it’s boring to just drink plain water. Just for the sake of variety, you can keep low-calorie flavored waters in the refrigerator as well. Request an ice water with extra lemon slices in it when you’re dining out. Then, just add some artificial sweeteners and you’ve made diet lemonade to enjoy!
Most of the time, the regular versions of foods that you’re used to taste a lot better than their reduced fat and low-fat equivalents. However don’t be discouraged, and continue to try the low-fat and non-fat alternatives of your favorite foods. You might be surprised to find a low-fat version of your favorite food, and there’s a chance that you’ll like it more than the original.
You also might want to consider that there could be some places in your home that you associate with eating. You might stop and look for a snack while lingering around the kitchen – instead, leave the kitchen after eating. You might be tempted into eating a dessert if you sit longer at the dinner table after you’ve finished your meal. Instead, as soon as you’re finished eating, try getting up and going for a walk. You’ll enjoy the extra exercise, plus it will help get your mind off of eating, food, and snacks. You might need to change where you do things to stay away from these “problem areas” if you have a hard time fighting the temptation of food.
You can help yourself lose weight by breaking the habit of using food as a comfort and as a stress-reliever. You could listen to music, read a book, go for a walk or jog, or just do some exercise. The point is that each different activity you select can be a viable alternative to eating when you need to relieve stress.
Schedules can become hectic and full very fast. Squeezing weight loss programs in your already busy life can be a very difficult task. Sometimes it can be hard to find the time in one place, but it’s recommended to try and get at least 30 minutes of good physical activity each day. You can try to break your 30 minute block of time into smaller 10 or 15 minute blocks. You’ll be able to get some much needed exercise by spreading the smaller blocks of time throughout your evening and day.
Exercise is cumulative, and keep in mind too that getting more and more physical activity can help you burn off calories

QUESTION:
What is are some of your favorite weight loss tips?
What are some of your most succesfull weight loss tips?? I have my few that I live by, but I am looking for some tips on cutting down. Please only share different/ unique tips.
I know about all the common ones.... lots of water lots of rest six small meals etc.thank you so much in advance!
-
ANSWER:
Hi CollegeGirlIn my opinion, no weight loss tips are truly successful on their own. Lots of water is not necessarily a good way, because how much water a person needs depends on the BMI of the person. 6 small meals maybe hard at times, especially when you are stuck at school or office and have no chance to eat, and then you need to eat more when you have the chance. Well, dieting is a good way to lose weight, but then it is hard to stick to a diet. For example, something like this:
Breakfast:
2 egg, low fat Cheddar cheese omelette - 320 calories
2 slices wholemeal toast with thin smear butter - 200 calories
Large slice melon - 47 caloriesLunch:
Spicy Turkey Salad recipe - 304 caloriesSnack:
Muesli or honey nut Health Bar "Sainsbury" - 180 caloriesDinner:
Baked potato with 100g "Heinz" baked beans &/or Cottage cheese if desired - 300 - 400 calories (350 average)
Large helping salad fruits &/or vegetables - 100 caloriesAnother weight loss tip is to do interval and turbulence exercise.
Turbulence Training is a fresh plan that requires finishing three 45-minute exercise sessions each week with marginal equipment. It is an increasingly trend-setting fitness plan with the intention of helping you in the reduction of weight.
Interval training is the fitness world’s equivalent of a visit to the in-laws. The shorter and more intense the visit, the better. An interval is a short period of exercise performed at a given intensity for a specific length of time. Each interval is separated from the next interval by a short rest or lighter activity. There are no strict rules on how long or how intense the interval must be, however, changing the interval length or intensity changes the way your body works and responds to exercise.
But people have a short willpower. It may be strong at the beginning but will eventually fade as time goes on- as they realize that going on a diet is not actually as easy as they think it is. Of course, the strength of willpower differs from one person to another. This is the reason why there are people who can actually maintain a diet and exercise program for 1 year and there are people who can only maintain it for few months. Nonetheless, willpower is a big factor that dictates someone whether to continue losing weight or not.
And in my opinion, besides sticking to a diet and exercise plan, it is the ultimate willpower to stop yourself from overeating that is the #1 tip to lose weight. But that is the hardest part if you are accustomed to eating lots of food even though your body does not need it. It is partly because of the delicious taste of the food causing a craving for more. There are certain ways to fight this craving ad I found one that maybe helpful. It is a type of chocolate that can actually suppress your appetite. It will can provide Good Energy that promotes a healthy weight by providing energy while burning fat. And it helps suppress cravings for sugary snacks.
Good luck!
PS: Information on the Special Chocolate that I mentioned can be found on the website in the source box. Recently, they are giving away a one month free trial.

QUESTION:
Can somebody give me some weight loss tips?
I'm sixteen, six foot one and play Volley Ball like nine months out of the year between School, Club and my Advanced Volley Ball gym class, but I can't seem to get my weight under 200lbs. I know it's not terribly bad because of my height but just knowing that I'm over weight puts a real damper on my self esteem can anyone help by giving me some weight loss tips whether they be exercise, healthy foods, or anything else you've used to lose weight?-
ANSWER:
Of course, physical activity helps lose weight, but do not over exert yourself. Do not skip meals either and do not try and starve yourself! There are plenty of healthy foods out there to eat. You can just stay away from fast foods, fatty foods, foods with lots of sugar and lots of salt. You can stay away from carbonated drinks. Water is really good for you. Do not try and lose a lot of weight in a short period of time, usually a rebound effect will happen and you will gain it all back. So, lose weight in a reasonable amount of time. I'm trying to drop some weight myself. I try not to eat as much, because I love to eat! It is better to eat in smaller portions more times a day than eating 3 huge meals daily. Like you can have a little breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner but in smaller portions. I like to get on my Wii Fit Plus because it records my weight and the exercises are not that intense. But you can try walking, running if you are in shape for it. Do not do more than you can handle. But while exercising make sure you drink plenty of water but NOT too much water! Just enough. You dont want to dehydrate yourself or overhydrate yourself. Plus it is a lot of online tips out there for weight loss. Hope this helps and Good Luck!

QUESTION:
Quick weight loss tips for women at home?
Hopefully someone can help me out here. Could anyone recommend some tips for quick weight loss? I'm wanting to work out at home if possible and I don't have a lot of money for equipment. Are there any exercises that anyone can suggest? Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
-
ANSWER:
Pushups, situps, crunches, squats, run around the block. The usual. If youre a beginner and pushups are too hard you can do them against your wall, or against a couch.
You could also watch tv then during commercials do pushups or situps until your show comes back on. Make it fun. Always stretch before you work out though (Roll your neck, wrist, hips, ankle, try to touch your toes, etc.)
Eat healthy. Put down the chips and grab an apple, or put down the soda and grab a water.
Cut down on the candy, if you crave chocolate, eat an alternative, like Nutella on toast. It taste EXACTLY like melted chocolate, and it's healthy.

QUESTION:
What are your best weight-loss tips and motivations?
How to get up each morning and go for a jog?
How to avoid the cravings?Tell us your best weight-loss tips/motivators/play lists...anything!
-
ANSWER:
When it comes to losing weight, staying motivated is one of the hardest thing to do. You tend to want to give up after not seeing results early in your program. However, you should keep you eye on your goal. Whether it is to lose 10 pounds, 25 pounds or even 100 pounds. You see the only person that knows what you really want is you. Tell yourself you can do it and follow through with your program. Below are some tips to help you stay focus and lose weight.Tip #1- Avoid going on the scale on a regular basis. For most people the is a bad habit. You see the scale can be very discouraging. If you constantly go on the scale and do not see a decrease in your weight you will feel like giving up because you may think that your program is not working. But note that the scale can be misleading. You see while you are losing weight, you are also building muscles. Therefore it will not show on the scale since the mass of your muscles will replace the weight loss. So to avoid feeling discouraged, you should avoid the scale.
Tip #2- Do not compare your body with others. Everyone has a different genetic make up. Some people can lose weight fast while some people will take months. Now if you are comparing yourself with others, you will only discourage yourself more and not focus on your real goal that you want to achieve.
Tip #3- Treat yourself after you cross small milestones. This will motivate you to continue. So break down your long term goals into smaller goals and once you achieve one of your goals, treat yourself to something nice.

QUESTION:
What are your best weight loss tips?
Hey im hoping to lose about 10kg in a year or so. What are ur best weight loss tips that have worked for you??? I do go to the gym already so its not like i dont do any excersise but it just seems to help me maintain my weight rarther than lose any. Thanks-
ANSWER:
When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

QUESTION:
Weight loss tips?Including how to get a flat stomach, what to eat, and how to get rid of cellulite?
I'm 63kgs and I want to be 52kgs. I'm a normal weight for my height at the moment by the way.
Also, what's the best way to get a flat stomach? Mine is relatively flat, just a little bulge which is SO annoying and WON'T shift!
Is my weight loss goal unrealistic too?
Also, I'm a peanut butter ADDICT
Does anyone have any tips? Thanks
-
ANSWER:
Hi,
I used to be 147 pounds and now I'm 110 or 109.
Lol, I'm a peanut butter addict too but here's the thing.
In order to lose weight you'll have to stop eating any type of oil including excess oil such as fried oil.
Don't put too much oil when you cook food just use little bit of olive oil.
Eat a lot of healthy stuff like broccoli, spinach, fish, and etc.
I gave up chicken when I used to diet and exercise because chicken has more fat than fish and also fish has less calories and is more nutritious than chicken because it provides the omega-3s, fish oil which is healthy for your heart and hair.
Also, exercise EVERY SINGLE DAY
Don't forget to do this because just dieting doesn't help.trust me i've been there.
Do bicycles for your cellulite, and yoga for a flat stomach.
I do this yoga for a flat stomach>
1. Breath in and inhale and suck in your stomach.
2. leaving in that position bring your chin close to your middle of the chest and dont exhale until 15 or 30 seconds
3. DOn't lift chin but slowly exhale as much as you can and slowly lift chin.
This is what i do and I have a flat stomach and also they have yoga for thighs too all you have to do is look it up but I recommend bicylces laying down or up.You can eat peanut butter but just once a week.
AND ABSOLUTELY NO JUNK FOOD
hope i helped =]

Any tips on how i could tone up my stomach a little would also be great. Thanks.

Do-
Have lots of fruit and veg
Have 3 servings a day of wholegrain carbs to keep your energy up
Have 3 servings of lean protein for organ repair.
Drink lots of water to stop yu feeling hungryDont have many crisps, cake, chocolate, soda or biscuits

(if she's taller she's likely to weigh more) as for weight loss tips, just keep her running and active every day and try and cook healthier main meals. Also watch her snack intake (it doesn't matter how much, in fact technically the more the better, just make sure the snacks are healthier like an apple or yogurt with water instead of a bag of potato chips and a pop)
Just taking small steps everyday is gonna make a big difference over time. Hope this helps, Good luck to you and your daughter.

Oh, and I eat when I am bored. A LOT. What else can I do?-
ANSWER:
what you need to do is stop eating when you are bored. you need to get a hobby besides eating. Did the you start gaining weight when you started to get bored? If you are bored. do your home work, lock yourself in your room and dance to some music. get a full length mirror and try to belly dance or something, read, draw, color, do arts and crafts.
For exercise ideas do some chores like, sweeping(helps arms) or moping, cleaning windows or picking up trash from outside.
If you are still bored drink 2 classes of water before you start eating and at least you will eat less. If you still do not feel full drink another

QUESTION:
does anybody know of easy weight loss tips?
i was just wondering if anybody knows of good weight loss tips to lose about 20lbs or so. ive just recently heard that eating eggs for breakfast will help, is there any other ones like this?-
ANSWER:
Eat regularlyMost dieters think that by skipping meals they are going to lose weight quickly. NO! It doesn't work like that. If you skip meals then your body starts to think there's a famine coming, which means your body piles on the fat to survive the famine. Eat regular meals.
Don't Deny Yourself
Many dieters will deny themselves anything naughty such as chocolate, cakes and so on. Trouble is, when you deny yourself something, you want it more. So instead CHOOSE not to have it, because then you are in control. Occasionally, you may choose to have it, which is great too.
Drink, drink, drink
And no, I don't mean alcohol. I mean yummy, delicious water. Drink plenty of it as it will flush toxins from your system and help keep you healthy. The experts recommend that you should drink at least 2 liters (just over 4 pints) of water every single day. Avoid caffeinated drinks and fizzy soda’s as these don’t help quench your thirst or remove the toxins from your system.

QUESTION:
Weight loss tips on staying motivated?
I know this is asked ten thousand times, however, I am going to ask again.Any good tips on CD's or something that keeps the motivation up for weight loss? Or just motivation in general?
Thanks =0)
-
ANSWER:
I know it's so hard sometimes!I keep ALL junk food OUT of the house. When I need motivation I watch stuff like the health channel or FIT TV or those shows about the 900 lb people. If they can lose the weight, so can I!!
Also, if you are feeling lazy and making excuses, just get up and GO to the gym. I always force myself to go and tell myself that even ten minutes is better than nothing...and usually once I get there it feels so much better when I get into a workout, I'm glad I did it!
Oh and finding a workout buddy works, do you have a friend who can help keep you on track? It always helps to get a partner in crime!
Good luck and keep at it girl!

QUESTION:
weight loss tips for the upper body when you have a sore foot?
Hi, my partner has torn a ligament in his foot and it is really painfull to walk, ride a bike ect. in the last few months he has put on weight due to lack of exercise. he was already large and can't afford this. does anyone have any tips for weight loss around the stomach region with out being on you feet. he has started doing sit-ups but wondered if ther was anything else that could help. he eats reasonablly well with only the occasional "bad" foods. thanks-
ANSWER:
I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace dot com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.
Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

QUESTION:
What are some easy weight loss tips?
What are some easy weight loss tips?-
ANSWER:
Alright, I am trying to get this down to a simple statement to save me time and you reading.Wanna lose weight, quit buying into the crap on tv. This is how you do it. Man and woman, your bodies work the same in regards to energy consumption.
1. Do like the Europeans: eat 5-6 meals a day at least, small proportion.
Example: Morning - toast, jelley or bagel and low fat cream cheese
Mid afternoon - some fruit or snack
Afternoon - sandwhich and vegetables
Mid evening - small snack
Dinner - something light like fish and riceJust an idea, but the idea is not big proportions at all but very small. Dont eat out you cant control proportions eating out the restarante does.
This tricks your bodies metabolism into a increased fat burning. I.e. your body thinks another meal is coming soon so it uses more stored energy and doesnt bother saving as much = (less absorbtion by the intestines). Less meals equals body saying "crap dont know when I am getting fed again start saving = (slow down intestines so we absorb more cals)
2. Exercise right: you need to get that heart rate up to 60% AT LEAST and keep it there for more than 30min to burn calories correctly.
3. DRINK more water. Especially you women. Hello your body needs it so give it. Avg. 8 liters a day, not too much you can drown yourself.
4. Women - eat adequate calcium (so your not hunchback when your older Osteoporosis), and dont dodge carbs thats retarded and will decrease your brain activity.
Men - increase protiens when you start the muscle building stage (hint: only after you lost the fat) also you need more carbs than women.
Summary: pretty simple, it works and its proven not like the garbage thats on tv or like the adkins thats proven to kill you. Its just how our bodies have been working since we were alive. Oh and quit weighing yourself thats not going to do you any good. Your weighing everything in your body but you want to know how much fat.
Google search how to check your body fat % and stick with that gauge and not a scale because you will see more detailed results that your wanting and not weighing things like how dehydrated you are or whether your constipated lol.

QUESTION:
Looking for info on weight loss tips for men?
Does anyone know a real site with weight loss tips for men?-
ANSWER:
Here's a few tips that work for me:
I spend a long time in front of a computer screen. Often I just stare at the monitor for up to 15 seconds while a page load or a document gets printed or whatever it is that the computer is doing.
When this is happening I lift my hands up over my head and then bring them down. I keep on doing this until the computer has finished whatever it is doing and it requires some input.,. from me.
I do similar exercises like getting up from the chair and sitting down again. I sometimes might be standing up and might type a few sentences while standing.
Combine this with drinking only water and I am doing something to lose weight. It is not much but doing it all the time it does help in losing weight.
I might swap this sometimes. I might decide that I will not do the arm exercise for a week but that week I will get off the lift two floor below and walk up the last two floors.
So long as when I go to bed at night I can say that that day I have done something extra to burn some weight, I am happy.

QUESTION:
Diet, lifestyle and weight loss tips please?
I am 15 and a half and I would ideally like to loose 35KGs. I am not fit, but not serveraly unfit. I do eat healthly, its just the quantities and the snacks inbetween. Do you have any tips to stick to a healthy diet? Good weight loss exercises?-
ANSWER:
Exercise and a balanced diet are the key factors in fat loss and weight reduction. If you are eating more calories than you are burning off throughout the day the result will be that the calories will be stored as fat. These exercises are excellent, efficient choices, the experts say. But with just about any strength or resistance exercise, the question is not so much whether the exercise works as how well you execute.
1. Walking - Any exercise program should include cardiovascular exercise, which strengthens the heart and burns calories. And walking is something you can do anywhere, anytime, with no equipment other than a good pair of shoes.
2. Interval training - Whether you're a beginner or an exercise veteran, a walker or an aerobic dancer, adding interval training to your cardiovascular workout will boost your fitness level and help you lose weight.
3. Squats - Strength training is essential, the experts say. And our experts tended to favor strength-training exercises that target multiple muscle groups. Squats, which work the quadriceps, hamstrings, and gluteals, are an excellent example.
4. Push-ups - If done correctly, the push-up can strengthen the chest, shoulders, triceps, and even the core trunk muscles, all at one time.
5. Bent Over Row - Talk about bang for the buck: This exercise works all the major muscles of the upper back, as well as the biceps.
6. Abdominal Crunches - Who doesn't want firm, flat abs? Experts say that when done correctly, the familiar crunch (along with its variations) is a good choice to target them.
Keep motivated and focus on your goals. Goodluck!

QUESTION:
What are some weight loss tips you know of?
I want to lose some weight over the next few months, what are some tips to help that?
I drink 64 oz. of water every day, exercise for 30 min. to an hour and a half every day, and I've been trying to eat better by cutting out junk food. I'm a really picky eater, also, so what are some foods I can eat?-
ANSWER:
In any weight-loss plan, you need to set an achievable goal. They need to be clear and realistic. A good goal to start with would be to lose 2 pounds a week for the first 5 weeks and then 1 pound a week after that.
Try this: fill half of your plate with green vegetables, one-quarter with protein rich food and one-quarter with whole grains. Instead of eating three times a day, you can then eat 6 times a day, but in smaller portions. This will help you in boosting your metabolism. A side benefit of this is that you will not need to go for that fast snack in between.
Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables and don't forget to eat at least three servings of fish a week.

QUESTION:
Good weight loss tips for women with PCOS?
I am 14 years old and have PCOS. As a result of this i am overweight. I have been eating healthily and taking part in regular exercise for 3 years now and the weight is still not shifting! Any one got any tips for weight loss? This would help loads
-
ANSWER:
Hi Emma.I am 20 years old and I also have PCOS and have been overweight. My mom is a personal fitness trainer and nutritionist and has helped me out.So I'll tell you what she taught me. Eat 6 meals a day. 3 meals with 3 small snacks in between. Your body weight and age determine how many calories you should have per day and intern how many calories you should have per meal. I would guess around 1500 calories a day judging by your age. Eat balanced meals consisting of proteins(fish, chicken, and egg whites are good sources of protein), carbs, and vegetables (not starchy vegetables like corn for example. They count as carbs.) NEVER go on low carb diets. The lack of carbs is replaced by water intake which means as soon as you begin to up your carb intake again you will gain it all back. Stay away from soft drinks, caffienated drinks, alcohol, and sugary drinks.Drink LOTS of water. Also stay away from sugary foods.I recommend greek yogurt which is low in fat, calories, and sugar.Mix it with a little organic granola and it makes a great snack.I also like raw baby carrots. This healthy eating habit shouldn't even be called a diet.It should become part of your lifestyle. As for exercise start slowly because you have to work your body up to being able to take on a tougher workout. For cardio start with a quick paced walk for thirty minutes. After about a week quicken your pace to a jog and after another week try running. If you feel like your not ready to run yet continue jogging but jog for 45 minutes instead of 30.An important thing to remember is to keep pushing yourself more and more in your workouts.Slowly add more time or a faster pace or more resistance. If your workout is at a stand still, your weight loss will be at a stand still as well.Your weight and age also indicate what your heart rate should be when you are working out. This is a good reference website to go to in order to learn how to calculate yout target heart rate.http://www.wikihow.com/Calculate-Your-Target-Heart-Rate.A good exercise plan always consists of both cardio and weight training. Cardio without weight training results in flabby untoned tissue! if you are training alone I recommend staying away from large weight machines. You may hurt yourself. Stick with the small plastic dumbells. In fact I recommend yoga and pilates which really work your core as well as multiple muscle zones in your body and are great for toning.Keep in mind that 30 minutes of exercise a day is required to see significant changes.Unless you live an extremely active lifestyle the activities of normal daily life do not burn enough calories for weight loss.Supplement your eating and exercise with a daily multi-vitamin. I also take CLA or Conjugated Linoleic Acids. They reduce fat and preserve muscle tissue, but purchase them at a legitimate store rather than online.Online offers are usually scams ,and pills sold online by sketchy sellers can be dangerous. Also talk to your doctor first to be sure they are safe for someone your age. I recommend keeping your doctor informed throughtout your weight loss process just to be sure you are being as safe and healthy as possible. I have lost 20 pounds(9.08 kilograms) in about 3 months using this process.Good luck and stay motivated! =D

QUESTION:
What are some good winter weight loss tips?
I am trying to lose weight and as you know winter is coming and I need some ideas to help boost my weight loss and not put it on.Thanks
-
ANSWER:
As humans it's important to stay active through all four seasons. Yet, a poll of 5,000 people found that 30 percent get no exercise at all during the Winter months.Just because it is cold outside doesn't make it open season for an excuse not to exercise. There are multiple exercise options one can choose to participate in regardless of what the outdoor thermometer reads. Depending on your location and likes, you can choose to workout inside or outside.
All that is required for Winter-time workouts is some planning and employing all safety precautions. If you prefer to workout outside, keep the following tips in mind.
Get warm first. A proper warm-up is critical. Cold temperatures can make your muscles tight and therefore they are more prone to injuries. So, it's important to get them warmed-up prior to engaging in intense physical activity.
Insulate your body. The best approach to dressing for outdoor exercise is with layers. Layering provides the most effective heating method, plus it allows you to remove the top layer if you get too hot. The layer closest to your skin should allow moisture to be wicked away. The top layer should be both wind and water resistant.
No sweat. Don't assume that you have to sweat in order to get a good workout. You should avoid sweating that causes the clothing layer closest to your skin to get wet and cause you to be chilled. Instead monitor your intensity through a heart rate monitor or the Rating of Perceived Exertion.
Don't strip when you get inside. While you may be tempted to immediately remove your layers when returning inside, give your body time to adjust. Post exercise hypothermia is possible. This happens when your body rapidly loses its heating stores.
Drink up. It's just as important to stay hydrated when exercising in Winter as it is in Summer, even though you might not feel as thirsty.
Lighten up. If possible, it's best to exercise outdoors during daylight areas. But, with shorten days that can be difficult to do. If you exercise outdoors when it is dark, wear reflective materials to ensure that you can be seen.
If the thought of getting outside to exercise makes you dive under the covers, instead choose one of the many indoor workout options. Below are just a few of the many choices.1.
Walk at an indoor location, like a mall. If you need extra motivation to get yourself to the mall, join a walking group. This will help you stay accountable to someone other than yourself.
2.
Join a health club. This will allow you a large variety of physical activities to choose from every week.
3.
Create a home gym. This doesn't have to be expensive. You can easily set-up a great workout routine with just a set of dumbbells, an exercise ball and a jump rope. Get all of this for around .

QUESTION:
what are some excercises and weight loss tips for a 13 year old?
I'm 13, and i want to have a flatter stomach and a smaller waist by summer. I weigh 130 pounds, and am 5'1. I've been eating healthier for awhile, but I havent been seeing results.
What are some simple excercises to help burn of excess weight around my stomach?
what are some tips?
any advice will help.
thank you in advance.-
ANSWER:
jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it's parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

i really want to lose weight. i am extremely over weight. i weigh 270. i am 5 ft 9. my goal is to weigh 150 to 170. i need some serious tips to lose this weight. pease be honest and sincere.-
ANSWER:
Okay, your body has a chemical called insulin. It's released when you eat carbohydrates. What insulin does is it takes the carbs, and fat, and protein, and everything you don't burn and stores their energy in fat cells. Bread(whole wheat, whole grain, it's all bulls***), sugar, and starch are the three worst ones. They spike your insulin levels immediately so you really don't have any time to fight off the effects. Those are called simple carbohydrates. (Simple because the body does hardly any work when breaking them down into useable energy. This means immediate energy and immediate insulin release.) What you can and need to eat are complex carbohydrates. Complex means the body has to work to break them down into useable forms, so energy is released in small portions over a long period of time. This doesn't spike your insulin. These would include things like vegetables (not potatoes or rice), fruits (not bananas), and oatmeal (Plain. Add splenda if you like it sweet). And p.s. Stay away from dairy. It's bad for you.So that's carbohydrates. The next thing is protein. Your body needs it. A lot of it. So eat it, but when you do, it needs to be lean. No fatty meats like 80/20 ground beef. You need chicken breast.
Lastly is fat. Again, stay away from fatty meats (fast food). You want olive oil. Omega 3's. Avacado. It's guacamole time (aren't you excited???) but no chips! That's right, no corn either. It's a starchy carb.
Okay, so now that you have all that, your diet should look like this:
Breakfast: 3/4 cup oatmeal w/ splenda and tablespoon olive oil. Two egg whites.
Coffee/tea/water (no sugar)(No Milk)Lunch: Salad w/ italian/caesar dressing. Grilled chicken breast. Apple/pear/any berry
Dinner: Fish/Chicken/Protein. Broccoli/zucchini/vegetable.
Losing weight is pretty darn gratifying, and you will lose weight if you eat like this. Drink LOTS of water. Lots. Good luck!

Your weight is perfectly fine, but if you want to shed a few pounds, then you can do that by diet and cardio. If you want to lose weight, the best way is by diet and cardio. Dieting is eating less and eating healthier. Cardio is a type of exercise that raises your heart rate. Diet, which lowers your calorie intake and cardio which burns extra calories.
If you want to go on a diet, you must reduce the amount you eat and change what you do eat to something healthy and nutritious. Begin by not eating more then 1500 calories a day. This will ensure you dont take over the amount of calories which will increase body fat.For cardio, the best is using elliptical machines. I recommend this rather then a treadmill because after doing some testing, elliptical trainers burn twice the amount of calories you burn on a treadmill. I would use it for 30 minutes daily. If you cant afford either one, then just jog or walk outside every night.
Good Luck!
