Learn The Fast Way To Lose Weight

Weight Loss Tea

Green tea is a remarkable natural herb. The Chinese have been cultivating and drinking green tea for 5,000 years. Throughout Asia, green tea is associated with good health and natural healing.

Western medicine has recently been doing lots of studies on green tea to see if it is, in fact, a potent natural healer. This herb has been credited with aiding in digestion, healing wounds, and regulating blood pressure. The good news is that studies have shown that green tea is a great antioxidant that can protect you from viruses and possibly cancer. It’s 100 times more powerful than both vitamin C and vitamin E.

Recent studies have shown that green tea aids in boosting the body’s metabolism, which has caused a real jump in the use of green tea in all kinds of diet supplements and health related products. The active ingredient that causes all these benefits is called Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG). This anti-oxidant can be found in all green tea and you’ll see a lot of green tea diet supplements with it as well.

Even with all of its benefits, green tea is no miracle weight loss cure. While it has a positive effect on your fat cells, it must be used in conjunction with a regular healthy diet and moderate exercise in order for you to be successful in your weight loss goals.

Green tea does contain caffeine, about 1/4 of the amount that coffee has, as well as, two caffeine like substances that are stronger than caffeine. You can replace your regular cup of coffee with green tea and gain more health benefits. If you are looking to reduce the amount of caffeine you ingest, this is a real plus.

Just like with coffee beans, there are several types of green tea to enjoy. The tea is grown in many different regions of China, Japan and India. There is high quality and low quality. Higher quality green tea only needs to be steeped in hot water for 30 seconds or less. I’m sure that once you start drinking this wonderful tea, you’ll enjoy the different nuances of flavor.

When purchasing green tea for weight loss, you want to be cautious about paying too much. There are some unscrupulous marketers who will charge you an arm and a leg for their magic weight loss diet tea, or claim that it’s the same tea that Oprah loves. For one thing, Oprah hasn’t endorsed any brand of green tea and secondly, you can get a nice, high quality tea for half the price that those opportunists are charging.

People who are buying this diet tea are finding out that it may be good tasting tea, but they are not dropping huge amounts of weight overnight.

So, should you drink green tea for weight loss?

Yes, green tea will definitely benefit your body and increase your natural defenses against many illnesses. Drinking one to three cups a day is a healthier alternative to several cups of caffeine-laden coffee. Keep in mind, though, that you’ll still need to combine this delicious drink with eating healthy and doing some moderate exercise, like going for a long walk.

Overall, green tea is a tasty way to help shed those unwanted pounds.

Does Chinese Weight Loss Tea Stunt Growth?
Recently bought chinese weight loss tea (not green or woolong). I don't remember the name of it, but it stops the body from absorbing carbs and fat, or makes you go to the washroom directly after meals. Will this stunt your growth?

  3. QUESTION:
Is there a weight loss tea out there?
I am wondering if there is a weight loss tea or drink of some sort that I can get a general health store that is safe?

    • ANSWER:
Green tea is a natural "weight loss tea", and I highly suggest it. You don't need to buy some fancy brand, it works with the natural ingredients. The catch? You need to drink quite a bit of it, up to 5 cups a day. You can realistically expect 60-80 calories lost a day from drinking this much, which ends up somewhere around 7 pounds lost in a year. In the real world, after all the marketing, this is a very nice boost for only what you drink. If you want some more professional info on weight loss, check out my source below.

  4. QUESTION:
Does the weight loss tea thing work and is it safe and can you get it at a store?
I'm 14 and I was wondering if the chinese weight loss tea works and if it's safe for someone my age. Also can you get it at a store because my mom won't let me get it if you have to order it over the internet. Please help!?!?!?!?

    • ANSWER:
No, no, and NO! I wish you young girls would stop looking for the easy way out! There isn't one. And this one especially can be dangerous because it is a diuretic (meaning it empty's the body of fluids) ... and several ingredients in these teas have been shown to cause kidney failure and liver failure. This product will only rid you of short term water weight ... it will never solve the problem like a healthy diet and exercise will.

You must get it into your head now - at 14 - that there's no "quick" fix to losing weight that will last. It will only hurt your body and cause damage ~ that sometimes is irreparable. The best way to keep weight off is to exercise (even for just 30 minutes) at least 5 times a week (you will need more if you are very heavy). Walking is THE safest and best form of exercise.

Also, drinking 64 ounces of water a day (which also helps your skin and joints), eating LOTS of veggies and fruits, and eating VERY little of red meat and high fat foods (like fast food, butter, and white bread). Here is a great link for you to check out ...

  5. QUESTION:
what exactly is wu-yi tea and does it help with weight loss?
it is a weight loss tea.

    • ANSWER:
Get some dumbbells so you can do upper body training, shoulder press, arm curls, chest, back, triceps. You could do leg raises, squats using dumbbells in each hand (if you can), sit-ups for stomach.

  6. QUESTION:
Do the green tea weight loss pills really work?
I just purchased a big bottle of green tea weight loss pills, do they really work? And any tips on weight loss?
THE POINT IS IM NOT LAZY, I DO WORK OUT, AND I DO EAT RIGHT, ITS JUST I NEED THE EXTRA BOOST TO CURB MY APPETITE @SS HOLE. IM NOT TALKING TO EVERYONE, IM ONLY TALKING TO THE GUY WHO ANSWERED FIRST.

    • ANSWER:
Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week and you can easily do this without the help of any diet pills. These pills may get more than 2 pounds off per week but it is unhealthy and probably not long lasting. As soon as you stop the pill the weight will come back and you will gain more weight than you lost putting you in a worse position. Instead of trying to lose weight quickly try to do it over a period of time. It is healthier and more likely to stay off for good. 7. QUESTION:
people say its a con seller because he markets oolong as weight loss tea?
but can you really judge the quality of tea by the advertising of a seller?and isnt every tea technically supporting weight loss? besides wich tea dealer tells bull for marketing? besides i like the origin of the seller...
he marketed the rest too but on the link he said weight lost oolong. besides there is no tea dealer that makes dishonest claims, even those with top products. like when they say rare, how can any tea in thisvage be really rare except 100 year old tea, what about the claims an emperor drank it? how many thousand teas did he even drink? there is absolutly no honest tea dealer they all lie,why would it matter if he says weight loss or other bull? besides if that was true my cousin also claimed 2 b someone else,if she was hot and tasted good or at least better then those look a likes why not marked her atributes.if im gullible and the tea is better i better not take her, i dont want to be fooled with a low quality chic, besides i dont want my father 2 think im 2 gullible 2 run a business. thx for clearing my mind.
besides 90 % of the taste priscription is false 2 oe doesnt make any sense.... besides quality is a verry debateable most teas have their qualities and bads except those that were handled wrong and is clearly in most cases just a matter of taste...
but im pretty sure bad tea = bad cousin

    • ANSWER:
Methinks thou dost protest too much.

Selling tea as "weight loss tea" is a now-typical way to dispose of lousy tea at a high markup - people buying weight loss drugs aren't going to be fussy about price or quality, and when the tea fails there is an endless line of suckers to take their place.

The marketing is misleading and clearly aimed at selling the tea to the gullible weight-worrying public instead of tea drinkers.

If the seller were honest, he'd advertise the tea based on its qualities as tea - the taste, the aroma, the origin, the cultivation, etc. Since we already have established that the seller is dishonest, why should we assume that the tea is priced honestly? If the tea were any good, it would be just as easy to sell as tea, and if it's lousy...well, that's why the seller is advertising it with false and misleading claims, to foist it off on people who know no better.

  8. QUESTION:
What kind of weight loss tea can i buy in a store?
    Wu Yi? Green tea?

    • ANSWER:
Hello lady, here's the thing about the tea - the weight loss properties are already in the regular tea, you do not need to go and buy some special product, just purchase regular old green tea.

However! Drinking green tea can only make you lose so much calories. Experts estimate between 60-70 calories if you drink at least 5 cups a day. This does add up over time of course, but you should use it as a supplement to your plan, not AS your plan.

I'll drop you a link on a plan I've been hearing good things about, but the most important part is that you take action on any plan you want, as long as you are doing something else, too!

Good luck losing your unwanted weight,

      Brian.

    Thanks!

    • ANSWER:

  22. QUESTION:
is easy weight loss tea a huge scam or for real?
I heard of this web page www.easyweightlosstea.com and offers a free trail. sounds too good to be true!
has anyone tried ordering tea from this site?
A lot of my friends are saying to go to a chinese market or store and buy the green tea there not on the internet.

    • ANSWER:
Weight management is a combination of several things. Tea can have a small effect, but you need to understand that your body is a system issue, not a single element is involved. To really understand weight management, you need to understand metabolic typing, the real roll of fat and oils and how they help you reduce weight, carbs and how they contribute to quick energy, but not long sustained energy, proteins and their roll in hormone production, etc.

A very good book that will give you some incite into all this is, "Life Without Bread" by Christian Allan, Ph.D. It is simple to understand and very good information. Listen to people who know what they are talking about, not marketing types or your friends that have no training in nutrition.

Green tea has a lot of good things, but also some things that are not so good. Caffeine and Fluorine are high in green tea. Fluorine depletes your body of iodine and many people can get thyroid problems from this. Having said that, there are forms of green tea that are available that have these elements removed. The problem is that you need to get a high quality and there is a huge amount of junk out there. If you are interested in a good green tea I drink each day, go to: (800) 370 - 3447 and order the green tea they sell. It is very concentrated form and they use a special process to remove the bad elements and preserve the good quality of the tea. 1 tsp. is equal to 20 cups of green tea and you mix the concentrate with water. Tastes great and is very good for you.

Benefits of green tea in weight loss- what if you add honey?
I've read in numerous publications that green tea aids in burning fat for weight loss- are these benefits at all negated if you add a serving (1 TBSP) of honey to your drink?

    • ANSWER:
Not really, honey can actually paradoxically lose weigh, the carbs in honey are one of the easiest to assimilate in the body. Besides that the more beneficial reason (according to me) is that honey is NOt empty calories.

  28. QUESTION:
Does the Chinese weight loss tea really work?
I saw it advertised on t.v.

    • ANSWER:
It may work for some and not for others.

This is the reality for all things. The best performing pharmaceuticals are only 40% effective.

Initially the weight loss is water. Your fat cells swell by retaining water so this should not be a surprise to anyone.

And 1 gallon of water is 8 pounds.

Actual fat loss is a longer term proposition and in the end it does require that you take in fewer calories than you burn so your body will have a reason to eat the stored calories in your fat.

      Good luck!

  30. QUESTION:
What is better for weight loss, green tea or white tea?
I've heard that both white and green tea can boost your metabolism and help with weightloss, but I was just wondering which one is more effective?

    • ANSWER:
The best way to lose weight is through a balanced diet and regular exercise. Green Tea is a powerful antioxidant that can aid in weight loss by improving your metabolism, which in turn allows your body to burn fat faster.

Green tea comes from the same plant as black tea, but is harvested at a younger age. It is consumed fresh, rather than roasted like black tea. Green tea is thus less processed and retains more of its nutrients and antioxidants than black tea.

  31. QUESTION:
what green tea is best for weight loss?
I've heard that certain green teas help weight loss, i just wanted to know which was the best?

    • ANSWER:
I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate

How many cups of green tea are recommended for weight loss?
I have heard that drinking green tea helps promote weight loss. I am slightly sceptical though. How many cups a day does one have to drink in order for it to work?

Green tea does not help you lose weight. If you drink it in massive quantities (10 POTS per day) you will benefit from the antioxidants.

I'd rather take a multivitamin with Vitamin E.

What is the Herbal (or Green) tea weight loss program?
Can anyone explain what it is,
    whether its sucessful,
and what you need to do, if you wanna start trying it?

    • ANSWER:
A regular daily intake of green tea or green tea extract is also thought to help your overall health and well-being. The tea is full of antioxidants that bind free radicals in our bodies; these free radicals can often cause damage to cells. There are also several green tea research studies linking green tea to cancer prevention. Besides this wonderful benefit, green tea is also thought to promote an increase in metabolism that helps lower cholesterol in the body.

Green tea does help a person lose weight but do not expect green tea to be a magic cure-all or a single solution product, though. Studies show that drinking a moderate amount of green tea helps to burn 80 calories a day. This may not sound like much, but 80 calories a day translates to about eight pounds per year. So green tea will help you lose some weight, and over several years time this can help you live a healthier life.

Green tea contains high concentrations of catechin polyphenols. These compounds work with other chemicals to intensify levels of fat oxidation and thermogenesis, where heat is created in the body by burning fuels such as fat. Green tea also causes carbohydrates to be released slowly, preventing sharp increases in blood-insulin levels. This promotes the burning of fat.

The thermogenic effect was originally attributed to its caffeine content. However, green tea stimulates brown fat thermogenesis far greater than a comparable amount of pure caffeine. It appears that the catechin-polyphenols, in particular epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), and caffeine that naturally occur in green tea work synergistically to stimulate thermogenesis and augment and prolong sympathetic stimulation of thermogenesis. It has been shown to increase 24-hour energy expenditure and fat oxidation (caffeine only increases metabolism during the time you take it).

There are also claims that green tea suppresses your appetite. This probably depends on what the green tea is replacing. Caffeine tends to cause an increase in appetite, so if green tea reduces your caffeine consumption, it might help your appetite. Also, sugar also increases appetite, because it causes insulin production, which in turn increases appetite. The sugar crash also leads people to seek more food for more energy. Therefore, if you are replacing high-caffeine, high-sugar drinks with green tea, it is likely to help decrease your appetite.

If you want to lose weight and stay healthy, though, green tea can be an important contributor to your weight loss program. Try following these green tea weight loss tips: Drink 3-6 cups of green tea per day and see if it relieves stress, decreases appetite and gives you more energy.

  36. QUESTION:
Had anyone heard of Wu-Yi Shan Chinese Weight Loss tea?
I know there is also Wu-Long tea for weight loss, I jut want to know which tea is better: Wu-Yi or Wu-Long. I just need to loose 15 pounds.

    • ANSWER:
I live in Taiwan and can tell you these teas are most likely EXACTLY the same. They are laxatives, nothing more, whatever claims they make in America. In Chinese countries these teas are very popular and normal everyday things for woman, but they are honest about the way they work! They will speed up your bowel movements so food does not sit in the stomach and intestine for as long and therefore it is eliminated before all the calories and nutrients can be absorbed by the body. Notice I said "nutrients"? Taking these teas would be the same as taking a laxative. They are not exactly "healthy" because all they do is make you defecate at an abnormal pace after eating.

But if you want to try it, use the cheaper one. They are all THE SAME, no matter what claims they are making ( and the wu-long tea doesn't even exist for real! it is a bunch of fiberous plant material that promotes bowel movements, but there is no tea leaf called wu-long that I can find and I have asked many of my Chinese adult students and friends!! The closest name is "oo-long" but this is NOT a diet tea!!

I have used these teas (living in Taiwan they are easily accessible) and I find that your body adjusts very quickly and you have to use them more and more often to get them to work and having a natural bowel movement can become almost impossible after long term use of laxatives, so don't plan on using it for more than a month!!

  38. QUESTION:
What is your fav tea/drink for weight loss diet?
I am curious what other teas/drinks can help weight loss/ detox, along with or instead of green tea. Do you have any good recipe? I just like the ones made from plants/bark, that I can brew myself, and eventually taste good.

    • ANSWER:
There is no tea that offers a magic weight loss solution without compromising your health. Most herbal teas and tea itself (green tea, black tea, oolong tea, white tea, etc.) are healthy and are not going to hurt your attempts to lose weight -- they are calorie free and good for overall health. And there's a chance they may provide a very small boost to the metabolism, although the science on this is uncertain.

But it's generally good to avoid teas and herbal teas marketed as a weight loss product. Why? Some of these contain laxatives or other herbs that disrupt your digestive system and throw your body out of balance. While this can make you lose weight, it is NOT SAFE. Another reason to avoid these teas is that companies that sell tea as a weight loss product tend to sell low-quality tea at jacked-up prices.

For Detox? Again...you don't need to drink "detox teas" -- most herbal mixtures sold for this purpose are a rip off, they either have no effect or may even be slightly harmful. The proper way to detox is to keep your body in balance: make sure you're drinking adequate water, getting some aerobic exercise every day, but not overdoing it, and resting and keeping your stress level low. This is the only safe way to detox: the body's systems will clear themselves when you're in balance and your stress level is low.

The only healthy way to lose weight is to be active and eat a well-balanced diet. Avoid processed foods and make sure you're getting enough healthy fats! And if you're going to drink tea, I recommend drinking high-quality loose-leaf tea sold for flavor, not as a weight loss product. And drink it unsweetened!

      Good luck!

  39. QUESTION:
Green tea to aid weight loss - How many cups a day?
How many cups of green tea should i drink a day to help aid weight loss? I am not too keen on the taste - i think it tastes like soil, but i can force it down so its okay :) lol
I want to lose 8 lbs at a rate of 1-2 lbs a week and am controlling calories already.
    How many cups?
    THANKYOU.

    • ANSWER:
Here's some weight loss tip's I have picked up over the years:

      - Exercise 6 to 7 days a week.

      - And try to break your workout into two different sessions, this gives your metabolism a jolt.

      - Drink 10 to 12 cups of water a day. And try to drink ice cold water, it burns more calories.

      - Take enough vitamins, especially ones that promote weight loss (such as 1800 mg. of Fish Oil, Vitamin B Complex, Co-enzyme Q-10, ect. Do your research).

      - Drink green tea or take green tea pills ( it's been shown to speed up your metabolism).

      - For your metabolism's sake, eat within 1 hour of waking up and don't eat 3 hours before you go to bed.

      - Try a vegan or vegetarian diet (it worked for me :D ).

      - Drink 12 oz. of warm lemon water (use the juice of 1/2 a lemon) with a little sea salt every morning. This will detoxify your body and make your skin look amazing.

      - Or, if giving up meat just isn't your thing, just count calories. Try to have around 1200 a day.

      - Try to avoid white, bleached, or enriched flour.

      - Stay away from high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils.

      - Eat every 2 to 4 hours to keep your metabolism going.

      - Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day to keep your metabolism up.

      - Try to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep. When your body is deprived of sleep your appiteite increases by 15%.

      - Sugar and artificial sweeteners are the devil. If you have a sweet tooth, grab some fruit.

      - Avoid all junk food, fast food, and fried food.

      - Try only drinking water, tea, and black coffee. There are so many hidden calories in drinks.

      - Eat whole grain foods and healthy fats (like olives, avacados, nuts, ect) and stay away from refined or "bad" carbs.

      - Remember to read the labels. They hide so much junk in "healthy diet" foods now a days. My rule of thumb is, if I can't pronounce it, I won't put it in my body. Because you are what you eat.

      - Set small goals (like 5 pounds) and when you reach your goal reward yourself with something (not food).

And just remember that you can do this. It's not impossible. You just have to stick to it and the weight will just fall off. Good luck with losing weight. Hope I've helped. :) :)

  42. QUESTION:
severe headache after i stopped taking areen tea weight loss pill?
I stopped taking it 2 days ago and I still have a huge headace. It feels like a vein behind my eye is going to burst. Any advice? I dont have health insurance other wise i would have already gone to the doctor.

    • ANSWER:
If it is not from the caffeine, it is probably in the vessels. If there are herbal supplements in the pills such as ginseng or some other vasodialator, it is probably because the vessels in your brain are constricting, this is what occurs in a migraine. You CAN NOT stop taking them in one day, you have to ween yourself off of them, take a smaller dose every day for about a week.

If you cant lower the dose because of the form of the pill, the headache will likely go away in a day or two. Just keep an eye on your blood pressure, if you get very dizzy when you stand up, sit back down for a few minutes. If you faint, you need to go to a hospital so they can try to regulate you blood pressure.

      Hope you feel better soon!

  47. QUESTION:
What is the name of that Chinese weight loss herbal tea?
It comes in powder form and it available for sale online in a bunch of different flavors. Anyone able to help out there?

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

  48. QUESTION:
    does weight loss tea work?
i found this all natural weight loss tea in my house. and im wondering if it would work? i gained some weight in my face and stomach that i really want to lose. also do you think that it will make me lose weight in my butt? my butt is mostly firm ish but im not sure. let me know what you think?

    • ANSWER:
      Yes and no.
Weight loss tea usually acts as a diuretic and some of them also act as a laxative (may give you the runs!). Therefore, the loss of weight seen on the scale is actually water weight, which may lead to dehydration.
Actual fat loss occurs only through a well-thought out meal plan, combined with sensible exercise and supplementation. In order to lose weight you need to get to know your body, its daily requirements, and what is a sensible amount of calories to take in/expend in a 24h period. I recommend you take a look at www.bodybuilding.com and read their articles.

Can dandelion root tea help with weight loss?
I was recently told that if I drink 2 cups of brewed dandelion root tea a day it will help with weight loss? Is this true?

    • ANSWER:
i find that when i'm hungry, especially in the evening before bed, that drinking tea, or water satisfies my hunger and makes me not eat. in that sense then yes, it does help.
but if you continue to eat the same, not exercise, and drink the tea, nothing will change.
