Or you can put in frozen strawberries or blueberries instead of the syrup, that will cut down on the refined sugar.
Hemp milk is also a good choice... delicious really, and high protein... fairly high fat but it's the good kind of fat and shouldn't interfere with your weight loss if you can keep the refined sugar out of your shakes. Hemp milk can be expensive in the cartons (-5 a quart), but you can bring the cost down if you buy hemp seeds/nuts online or at your local health food store and make your own in the blender. I used to do that.
If you're looking for the appetite suppressant aspect of the shakes, I'd recommend just finding one in pill form and taking it at the same time you take the shakes.

Make sure that you have a good diet and exercise well, 80 lbs is a bit much to lose without liposuction or installing a cosmic black hole in your thighs.
Edit: And no, I'm not advocating liposuction because frankly, it's creepy. Just find something to motivate you to exercise, maybe have a friend go to the gym with you.

From what i know about shakes there isnt a chemical in it that will make you lose weight. Its just a balanced meal that helps you control your portions. If you are going to drink them along with your current eating style it will help you gain muscle but you have to work out or it will turn to FAT. and thats not what you want....Hope that helps

Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming,running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions,pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull,leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! I wouldn't say I'm over weight, I am pretty tall at 190cm (6'3") and weigh about 90kgs/ 200lbs. But as I hit 30 I am getting a bit of fat on the front of my belly. At the same time I am sick of paying 15 bucks a day for Lunch.I play sport (cricket and social footy) , do free weights and try and run a couple of times a week.
I am thinking about substituting lunch for one of those weight loss shakes. Not as a crash diet but just to help me out and save me having to go out of the office to find lunch !!

I have done the lighter life and tried god know's how many diets before hand, and none work as fast as the lighter. You could always try the cambridge diet as that is the same as lighter life but cheaper the only problem is the food sources don't have as much nutrients and minerals in them that you're body need as the lighter life does. Other than that not many diets are a quick weight loss style they are all slow time. No other diets apart from ligter life and cambridge are abstinence diets.
All the rest change the way you eat and incorperate shakes rather than put you into abstinence. xx
