I watched many women start a weight loss program with the best intentions and good direction also. After a while they get to a point where the weight stops coming of or they feel like they have no energy and they are always tired all the time. When most women start a program they most likely know how much weight they want to lose and have set a goal to do so. But one thing that many women that are making an attempt to lose weight fail to relies is that first you have to know exactly where you are to start with so you know what direction you need to head in to reach your maximum weight loss goal.
What I mean by that is the first thing you have to find out some information about yourself and what your body needs to make sure when designing your program it will be effective in every aspect and that you are not wasting time putting your focus in the wrong areas. Most times when the focus of a weight loss program in not on the right things you will see slow results or none at all.
Now I highly recommend that you have a wellness evaluation done and what does is it lets you know exactly where you are so you know where you are starting and what direction you need to head and the specific areas you need to target. Now what BMI stand for BODY MASS INDEX and what that will tell you is everything you need to know it basically lays out a road map and where you are starting and which direction your journey will head. Now the Body Mass Index will tell you what your Protein Factor (Lean Body Mass) your Resting Metabolic Rate, also it will tell you what your calorie intake should be per day another thing that you can calculate from this information is you Body Fat Percentage.
Now every one of the items I have mentioned are of great importance and will let you know in what area you need to focus on the most. It will also design your weight loss program for you basically and give you a guide line to go by and to follow. It is also of great importance to do a BMI on yourself several times to see where you are and if you have to redefine the program you are on. Basically it will take all the grey area of it for you.
Now there are several benefits of doing a BMI or a Wellness Evaluation first of all it will give you the guidance you need, it will also let you know your Body Mass Index (a normal BMI is 20 to 25) it will also let you know your calorie intake per day so you can plan an effective weekly diet. Another valuable feature is letting you know your Body Fat Percentage which will let you know the progress you have made. Now an important fact is Wellness Evaluation and the BMI are designed on a scientific level. So it is a necessity that you take this information to help you design your weight loss program and also use the BMI as a weekly guide line to reference so you always have something to go by.

Best weight loss plans out there for morbidly obese women?
Im looking for the best weight loss options for extremely over-weight women. Id like to lose approximately 100lbs in the next year or two so that I can begin ttc #2. Im 5^4 inches tall and weigh 260 lbs. Any suggestions would help. Thanks in advance!-
ANSWER:
I am also trying to lose 100 pounds in 1 year. I started walking 30 min. a day. But my Dr. said if I couldn't walk the 30 walk as much as you can then in a week add 5 min. until and continue. Also, I use slim fast drinks to replace breakfast. The only one I like is the coffee one. Then I blog about my process. It keeps me from snacking. When I want to eat I blog instead. I would love for yu to look at it.

QUESTION:
Pain and weight loss. Women please.?
I've been going thru menopause for almost two years now. It's off and on, but mainly off. I've done all the rotten symptoms already, but I'm stuck on a few and they are really killing me.I can't eat. I know most women don't loose weight when they go thru this, but I can't even eat a whole burger anymore. It's great if I can stomache 2 C of food a day. I try to watch my nutrition (proteins, veggies, vitamins) so I get at least SOME thing healthy.
Because of this, I have lost almost 40lbs. I'm under 120 and I'm 5'7". I'm loosing muscle mass and I look like my grandmother. (I'm 43). Here's the pain part. Because of the severe weight loss, I am getting bad cramps in my toes/feet and now fingers/hands.
Because of the cramping, it's effecting my sleep. I can't remember the last time I slept a full 8 hours straight. It's also ruining my sex drive. Because it's just the two of us living together, I don't make much in the way of large dinners anymore. I also have high energy/low energy days all the time. One day, I'm great (yesterday) and today, I'm down, no energy. I also have a pinched nerve in my back which effects my once sprained left ankle.
Major prob? My husband just got laid off and now I have to find a job. I need help or I will loose more weight working outside the house. I can't afford to be in any more pain, but I can't afford not to work.
Vitamins, healthy food, eating more, foot massages, sleeping on my stomach, no coke drinks, or much alcohol. PLEASE, what else can I do. I can't see the doc as I have no insurance/no job right now. I do have a health food store in town, so I'll try anything!

ANSWER:
I don't know what your financial situation is, but I don't think this will be too expensive:Try increasing your iron intake. It's best to get iron through natural foods like spinach, because the human stomach isn't very good at digesting iron supplements. That will probably help with your energy problems.
Calcium, magnesium, and zinc taken together will help with your cramps, stabilize your mood -even if you feel stable you'll probably feel more stable- and might even help you sleep.
Mix a scoop of vanilla-flavored whey protein -not soy- with some orange juice. One scoop will have about half of your daily protein needs taken care of.
Greens + Protein bars. Check it out on Amazon. At first, they taste sort of moldy -thanks to the all the healthy vegetation in there- but you get used to the taste quickly, and they're great for you. One bar has 260 calories, all your B12 for that day, 140% of your recommended vitamin E, some vitamin A...tons of good stuff.
You'll also want to increase your intake of healthy fats. Butter and olive oil are in. Margarine and that sort of thing are out. You need those fats to absorb the limited vitamins you're getting.
As much as this probably sounds like hell, try to go for a 15-30 minute walk every day. It will improve your circulation and ease the cramps.
A sleep aid with valerian might be useful for you.
Whatever you do with these supplements, don't assume that they're safe or weak just because they don't totally originate from a lab. If something says to only take two tablets every four hours, don't take three every hour. Any sort of medicine changes the chemical balance of your body- which is exactly what you're after, but you have to be careful.
Be sure to stay hydrated. It almost sounds trivial when people say that you're dehydrated- I mean, you're not trying to suck moisture out of your computer, you feel fine, so are you really dehydrated? Well, here's the thing: humans are mostly water. It can't hurt to drink more water. Water with some lemon juice in it is good for making your blood more alkaline and killing off nasty things that might be setting up shop. (Yes, lemons are acidic, but apparently they turn alkaline in your blood. Who knew?) If you're drinking a lot but you're still always thirsty, try adding some salt (aka electrolytes) or getting your hands on some sports drinks. If that doesn't work...post another question and if I see it, I'll try to help.
I can't help you with the job part but this should help you feel better and make you more employable.
Best wishes for you and your husband.

QUESTION:
Smartburn with Hoodie--weight loss for women... ?
I recently bought the Smartburn with Hoodie for women weight loss pills. It says it is total body weight loss including belly butt and thighs.....which are exactly the spots I need to lose weight from. Has anybody tried these pills and do they actually work? I plan to eat better and walk 2-3 times a week for half an hour plus other excercises around home. Do you think I will actually see results and how fast?-
ANSWER:
I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace. com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.
Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

QUESTION:
Any ideas for dissertation questions about media/magazines affecting weight loss in women & men?
I am a public health nutrition student..currently thinking of what to do my dissertation on. We have to carry out primary research, so my title needs to be a question which i aim to answer...
I think i want to do something regarding weight loss associated with media/magazines..any ideas how to make my question specific as its a very broad topic?? your answers would be greatly appreciated!!!-
ANSWER:
It sounds like a very interesting topic! But you are right that it is too broad at the moment and needs to be more specific. Perhaps you could do a comparison study between the types of information given to women on diet and weight loss versus the types of information given to men? Or you could compare how women and men are affected by the information they are exposed to, like to what extent they internalise the information. You could also consider where, how and why women and men seek out information on weight loss in the media (as opposed to getting this info from more reputable or academic sources). I hope that has given you some ideas. When choosing a topic, just make sure it is one you are interested in, and one that will lend itself to a practical and easy to use research methods.

QUESTION:
Pineapple and Weight Loss - Is There A Connection Between Eating Pineapples & Weight Loss In Women?
I remember reading about the health benefits of pineapples for women of all ages.-
ANSWER:
Normally, no single food on its own can lower your weight. But you do have a point about the 'pineapple connection' to weight loss.1. Pineapple is an excellent detox food when eaten on an empty stomach. The key is to eat it whole & fresh, not the ones that come canned
2. Pineapple improves digestion and keeping cravings at bay. Hence it promotes natural weight loss
3. Besides being low in calories, zero fat & rich in vitamin C, enzyme extracts of pineapple are being researched for their cancer-fighting properties
4. The same enzymes also have anti-inflammatory properties that's wonderful for your skin and a natural defense against cellulite
Hence, the weight loss connection is complete.

QUESTION:
Strength training program for women? [weight loss?] PLEASE HELP!?
Im on a diet and im doing cardio, now i just need to add in strength training for weight loss, i want to lose the stomach fat and the thigh fat, can anyone make me a plan for strength training at home or tell me what your doing? Im not in a gym, i do my exercising at home. 3 day or a 4 day plan would be wonderful! Please help! thanks.-
ANSWER:
It's very hard to lose weight in a specific area because like gaining weight, the body just does it wherever it wants to. Diet and exercise are great, but in your case, you want to build muscle which will burn even more fat. I would suggest buying a couple sets of free weights (such as two five pounds and two ten pound weights) and then trying some of these exercises:http://www.strength-training-woman.com/strength-training-exercises.html
There are sections that tell you what muscle group the exercises target, but I would try to work out every muscle group possible. The best thing to do, in my opinion, is to alternate muscle groups on Monday and Wednesday, then Tuesday and Thursday. For example, focus on upper body/arms on MW and on TR focus on lower body/legs. Just pick a few exercises and do those for a couple of weeks and then pick new exercises that work the same muscle groups for the next couple of weeks. That way the body doesn't get used to a certain motion and it will continue to build muscle.

Should women be more demanding in weight loss for men?
It always seems like losing weight is always directed at women.I saw the weight watchers FOR MEN ad on tv and I was so angry with the fact they need an extra push to lose weight, because women don't push them enough - unlike men who constantly put bigger women down. QUESTION:
I work out everyday but I'm looking for a supplement for women for weight loss, any ideas?
I work out everyday and have about 1000 calories a day at max. But I'm looking for something to give me that extra push for weight loss. I've found a couple things and looked at the pros and cons. But most of the them say the same thing. I don't want to spend money on something that doesn't work. I get reviews of this works but with someone else theres no effects. And I don't want extreme caffeine that keeps me up at night. Any ideas??-
ANSWER:
To be honest, you're doing the best thing for yourself by exercising and cutting back on your calories, but remember you need 1,000-2,000 per day.You have to eat to burn calories.
You won't have anything to fuel your metabolism if you don't eat right. You can take whey protein, adding it into a smoothie of lowfat vanilla icecream, 1% milk, and fruit twice a day ---
Protein boosts your metabolism.
& helps to build muscle mass.I would not recommend any diet pills to you --
My sister became a workout freak and takes so many pills to keep the weight off, and took a good bit while she was trying to lose the weight --
She now has heart problems; a common side effect of diet pill use.I'd stay away from them.
There's only a handful that are actually FDA approved.Alli is a pill that's approved by the FDA -- you can find it in your local grocery store.

QUESTION:
Can somebody give me a weight loss gym workout program for women?
I can't find a free weight loss program for women that we can do for a week. Everything is for men.-
ANSWER:
Gym workout routines for women are specially categorized as there are certain physiological differences between a man and a woman. A woman needs to work out on her gym routine so that she can benefit the most. However, the workout routines should answer the following questions:* First, how to select the best and convenient place for the workout
* How to kick-start the workout routines efficiently
* How much time needs to be invested in exercising every day
* What aspects one should consider while opting for a exercise scheduleThe workout schedules which would help you to lose weight safely and comfortably are as follows:
*Workout schedule 1: Exercises should tone up each and every muscles of the body. In fact, this first routine would be very beneficial for the beginners who have very little time to spare in such work-outs. You must use the first five days of week in carrying out this routine. The first 3 days would be concentrated in weights whereas the next two days would be concentrated in cardio.
* Workout schedule 2: It can also be referred to as the split schedule. However, this routine would help you to reap huge benefits at a very steady pace. As per this exercise your lower and upper body part gets involved in intense work-out. It would help you to lose weight quickly.
*Workout schedule 3: In this routine you exercise to lose weight from targeted areas. In this routine you can exercise with weights for 5 days and get indulged in cardio for 2 or 2 days.
Further, you must be cautious that your workout schedule is effectively toning up your muscles, helping you to lose weight and burn fat etc. It should not matter what your goals are but you should focus on specified exercises to tone up your body and lose weight at a steady pace.

QUESTION:
women weight loss question?
okay, so i realize i need to lose some weight (5-10 pounds) but im wondering...is it at all possible to lose the weight on my lower abdomen? its right below my belly button and i've heard that all women have it and its there to protect our ovaries...a kind of evolutionary trait we've developed or something...
can it go?
also, do you guys have any advice about work outs that really get the job done without requiring lots of special equipment or time? i can only work out for maybe an hour each day...
and sometimes motivation is a problem for me
and diet advice is good too...i never know when or what or how much to eat...i don't eat meat...don't drink sugary drinks, and rarely have junk food.
i just over-eat, even tho it tends to be on healthy stuff.
i hate my lower abdomen and my thighs...gross...and i'm feeling terrible right now cuz this guy is messing with me

ANSWER:
If you afford a bo-flex or any other exercise equipment, buy it. In my opinion, all women should invest in a piece of exercise equipment that they enjoy. It helps to fight stress and improves the way you percieve yourself

QUESTION:
Women weight loss?
So i've been trying for awhile now to lose some weight. I started going to the gym 4-6 times a week, staying for 1-2 hrs, as well as cutting my portions in half and still nothing happened. I then tryed lowering my calorie intake to 1000 and still no weight was lost. Am I doing something wrong?-
ANSWER:
sounds like you're not eating enough. bare minimum, you should be eating 1200 calories a day. when you don't eat enough, your body says, "omg, i'm starving! i must hoard all this weight so i can have energy!" and if you're working out that much, good LORD, you need to be eating more. fewer calories does NOT equal weight loss.don't worry about cutting your portions in half, worry about eating RIGHT. plenty of protein, fruits, veggies, some carbs, you need BALANCE, not rabbit food.
your body is like a car, and right now, you're running it on empty, passing every gas station in search of a cheaper price per gallon when you really just need to fill up before you have to call a tow truck. EAT.

QUESTION:
What are the best weight loss pills for women?
I am 18 years old,5'5 and I weigh 115 pounds. This is about average..but I want to tone up my stomach a little bit and shed maybe like 4 pounds in that area. I heard that weight loss pills help, but I will be working out alongside the pills. So what would be the safest thing that would give me the most energy in my workout.. thanks!-
ANSWER:
I'm a second year med student, and we actually JUST talked about weight loss today in a clinical management class.Given your height and weight, your BMI (body mass index) is 19.15. That is WONDERFUL. Your weight is completely normal. You have absolutely 0 need to consider taking a diet pill. Just FYI, BMI is the standard calculation used by doctors to determine if people are at a healthy weight given their height. A BMI < 18 is underweight, 18-25 is normal, 25-30 overweight, and 30+ is considered obese. As you can see, your BMI falls on the lower end of normal. If you were to lose weight it could be unhealthy for your growth and development, and cause different problems for you.
From what you said you desired to do (lose 4 pounds and tone up your abs), those goals can be accomplished by doing ab workouts at home for 5-10 minutes a day before you go to sleep on the floor of your room, and taking out one piece of junk food per day and substituting it for a healthier alternative. If you're already working out, just make sure you do a brief ab workout daily (your abs can take it) and you'll see improvement in no time. Also, make sure your form for crunches/sit-ups/leg lifts is good. So many people THINK they're doing a good ab workout but it is completely useless. You have to mix things up and do different exercises for your abs or your body will get used to what you are doing and you will see very little benefit from continued training.
Also, it is considered medically unhealthy to lose more than 1-2 pounds per week. So don't try to drop 4 pounds in 4 days, it won't last.

QUESTION:
Quick weight loss tips for women at home?
Hopefully someone can help me out here. Could anyone recommend some tips for quick weight loss? I'm wanting to work out at home if possible and I don't have a lot of money for equipment. Are there any exercises that anyone can suggest? Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
-
ANSWER:
Pushups, situps, crunches, squats, run around the block. The usual. If youre a beginner and pushups are too hard you can do them against your wall, or against a couch.
You could also watch tv then during commercials do pushups or situps until your show comes back on. Make it fun. Always stretch before you work out though (Roll your neck, wrist, hips, ankle, try to touch your toes, etc.)
Eat healthy. Put down the chips and grab an apple, or put down the soda and grab a water.
Cut down on the candy, if you crave chocolate, eat an alternative, like Nutella on toast. It taste EXACTLY like melted chocolate, and it's healthy.

QUESTION:
What are some serious weight loss extremes some women resort to(for report)?
This question is for research purposes.
My report is on the extremes some women resort to to lose weight to have the "ideal image".-
ANSWER:
Anorexia, or starving one's self is probably the most popular by far. I hear of teenage women doing this all the time, just to shed off 10-20 pounds, even though they don't normally have to lose the weight in the first place. They are always subconsicious about their weight and would probably kill a man to lose a couple pounds.Other women try eating as little as possible, like 300-600 calories. They are a little wiser then the anorexics, because they realize the need to eat, but they are eating so little that the body thinks it's being starved, and stores a bunch of excess fat to compensate for the lost calories. In the end, these people lose little weight or gain back twice as much.

QUESTION:
Protein...Suppliments...Women... Weight Loss..?
I want to start working out with my wife and I want to go at it hard with her for the next 2 months to prove that you can see changes in your body if you can take is serious for a couple of months. What do you recommend as far as suppliments and diet to help me out with this? I have been working out for my whole life, so I already have good workout routines planned, but any advice on diet or suppliments would really be appreciated. Also, I have a girlfriend who does the fitness competitions and she takes a gram of protein per pound of body weight and she looks great, do you recommend I have my wife take the same amount?
Last thing...she is leaving it up to me to do whatever I want with her, so I want to tone her up while having her loose maybe 10 pounds over the next couple of months. Hope that helps. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Ok everyone when I said girlfriend, I mean a girl that is my friend. It is still ok to have those once you get married right? Besides I have not spoken to this female friend in about 2 years so there is no way for me to have her get with my wife to help me train her. But the last time I spoke with her I asked her some advice on what she does and that is where the protein question came about. She takes a gram per pound of body weight. So, do you suggest the same.-
ANSWER:
Is your wife as fit as you are?
I have a 3 y/o with no kid friendly gyms around, so I bought a pedometer. Strangely enough, it made me want to walk/run everywhere.I don't use any supplements. I have tried some, like green tea and xenadryne, but I didnt get ANY results. Nothing noticeable anyhow.
Im sure a fitness trainer could give you better advice.

QUESTION:
What's the best weight loss pill for women without having to exercise or diet?
My friend lisa weighs 180 and im worried for her health but she doesn't really have the time or stamina to diet or exercise and i wouldn't mind losing some weight myself.-
ANSWER:
For the sake of your friends health (and her wallet) , try to avoid pills if possible.Exercise does not have to be that time consuming or difficult. It can be as simple as walking & need only take 30 or so minutes out of your day (which is nothing really). Even walking 15 mins to school, work or the shops & 15 mins home again would be sufficient & enjoyable.
And eating healthy is not that hard. There are plenty of healthy options easily accessable out there, if you look hard enough.

Through 'self-medicating' (food) myself through rough bumps the last 4-5 years of my life I've really packed on the weight. It's starting to affect me, big time. I'm discouraged from all I hear about older women not being able to lose weight.-

QUESTION:
What are some serious weight loss extremes some women resort to?
This question is for research purposes.
My report is on the extremes some women resort to to lose weight to have the "ideal image".-
ANSWER:
How about the extremes men go to? I was bulimic for 20 years! I am losing all of my teeth now! I am in the process of getting dentures. There is a very high price to pay for going to these extremes to lose weight whether it's men or women! Medicating to flush the body is another quick fix that I find ridiculous. I mean, how desperate is someone who will slam the Ex-Lax
and get the screamin' mimi"s?

QUESTION:
A weight loss for women?
My best guy friend is taking a male supplement called Testoripped and has seen amazing results... weight loss and awesome muscle definition and gain...I was wondering if anyone knows of any female supplements that are comparable to this, either specific products or vitamin type stuff. I know many are just a rip off.
I work out 5 days a week and was wondering if there is anything for women to aid in weight loss/getting in shape. Like I said I work out and eat a healthy balanced diet.
Thanks.
-
ANSWER:
in that case you should be fine without meds
people shouldnt depend on meds to lose weight
i mean, weight lost with wil power and effort is probably going to stay lost while the weight lost with no effort except swallowing a pill will be gained again since you will be careless since you know that you still have the pills which your body will probably get used to in a while and will start to have no effect
anyways just keep working out and eat healthy is my suggestion

QUESTION:
Best Weight Loss Program For Women To Make Your Stomach Disappear?
Does anyone know of the fastest weight loss system for women? I've heard alot about http://www.TrimYourFat.com - and I signed up for their free trial - but I figured I would see if anyone here has tried something that worked well.-
ANSWER:
Try taking multivitamins every day. Because it gives your body the nutrients you don't or can't give it and because it keeps your body from eating at your muscle. I started a month ago after I found out I had been working out so hard that my body was eating at my muscle, and since then I have been able to lose over ten pounds. Every day I take it I notice a difference and if I don't take it I stay the same. My waistline shrunk 3 inches and my hipline shrunk 2 inches. I also have more energy to work out than before.
I heard that some people never notice a difference in weight with it, but most people do, so try it for about a week and see.

QUESTION:
Good weight loss tips for women with PCOS?
I am 14 years old and have PCOS. As a result of this i am overweight. I have been eating healthily and taking part in regular exercise for 3 years now and the weight is still not shifting! Any one got any tips for weight loss? This would help loads
-
ANSWER:
Hi Emma.I am 20 years old and I also have PCOS and have been overweight. My mom is a personal fitness trainer and nutritionist and has helped me out.So I'll tell you what she taught me. Eat 6 meals a day. 3 meals with 3 small snacks in between. Your body weight and age determine how many calories you should have per day and intern how many calories you should have per meal. I would guess around 1500 calories a day judging by your age. Eat balanced meals consisting of proteins(fish, chicken, and egg whites are good sources of protein), carbs, and vegetables (not starchy vegetables like corn for example. They count as carbs.) NEVER go on low carb diets. The lack of carbs is replaced by water intake which means as soon as you begin to up your carb intake again you will gain it all back. Stay away from soft drinks, caffienated drinks, alcohol, and sugary drinks.Drink LOTS of water. Also stay away from sugary foods.I recommend greek yogurt which is low in fat, calories, and sugar.Mix it with a little organic granola and it makes a great snack.I also like raw baby carrots. This healthy eating habit shouldn't even be called a diet.It should become part of your lifestyle. As for exercise start slowly because you have to work your body up to being able to take on a tougher workout. For cardio start with a quick paced walk for thirty minutes. After about a week quicken your pace to a jog and after another week try running. If you feel like your not ready to run yet continue jogging but jog for 45 minutes instead of 30.An important thing to remember is to keep pushing yourself more and more in your workouts.Slowly add more time or a faster pace or more resistance. If your workout is at a stand still, your weight loss will be at a stand still as well.Your weight and age also indicate what your heart rate should be when you are working out. This is a good reference website to go to in order to learn how to calculate yout target heart rate.http://www.wikihow.com/Calculate-Your-Target-Heart-Rate.A good exercise plan always consists of both cardio and weight training. Cardio without weight training results in flabby untoned tissue! if you are training alone I recommend staying away from large weight machines. You may hurt yourself. Stick with the small plastic dumbells. In fact I recommend yoga and pilates which really work your core as well as multiple muscle zones in your body and are great for toning.Keep in mind that 30 minutes of exercise a day is required to see significant changes.Unless you live an extremely active lifestyle the activities of normal daily life do not burn enough calories for weight loss.Supplement your eating and exercise with a daily multi-vitamin. I also take CLA or Conjugated Linoleic Acids. They reduce fat and preserve muscle tissue, but purchase them at a legitimate store rather than online.Online offers are usually scams ,and pills sold online by sketchy sellers can be dangerous. Also talk to your doctor first to be sure they are safe for someone your age. I recommend keeping your doctor informed throughtout your weight loss process just to be sure you are being as safe and healthy as possible. I have lost 20 pounds(9.08 kilograms) in about 3 months using this process.Good luck and stay motivated! =D

Honey, you are going about it the right way. A change of lifestyle is exactly what you need. Follow a healthy diet and continue the exercise routine you're on. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water, and NO SODA! The weight will go, and you'll feel happier and healthier. If you get bored, go for a walk or a run, or swim. Anything that keeps you moving for about an hour a day will do it! Be patient and persistent and you'll get the results you want.

QUESTION:
What is the best pill to take to loss weight and burn fat at the same time.?
For instance do smartburn pill weight loss for women. Do smartburn pill works to burn fat for women.-
ANSWER:
There are no magic pills!
You may find a product such as hoodia help you control your appetite but it won't help you burn fat. Then you will find a product that may help speed up your metabolism but not cut your appetite.
When a product is trying to cater to 2 totally different physical reactions is does neither one well.
The best way to burn fat and to raise your metabolism is through complete hydration (drinking at least 8 full glasses of water a day--there are no substitues for water, you can drink other products but they do not count towards your water drinking goal).
Then you have to add cardio into your lifestyle. Cardio helps to blast fat that you currently have on your body and also help boost your metabolism so that you continue to burn fat for a few hours later.
Brisk walking, swimming, racquetball, singles tennis, kick boxing and TaeBo are all excellent. Just be sure to do your chosen cardio exercise for at least 30-45 minutes 4 times a week. Unlike regular exercise where you can exercise for 5 minutes here and there and still get results, with cardio it has to be at least 30 minutes each time. You can't beak cardio out into smaller segments.
By eating less and adding cardio you can reach your goal weight and shape--it will just take a bit of work.

QUESTION:
Postmenopausal women - best weight loss product?
I am postmenopausal now and no matter what I do I can not lose weight. Is there a diet product or diet that seems to work better than others for those in our group. I've really cut down on eating and walk vigorously most days but nothing. Diets that work on younger women probably won't work for me as they have a different metabolism/hormonal balance. Any suggestions.-
ANSWER:
Try low "carbing". Thats probably not what you want to do (I don't like it) but it works. You have to give up things like bread and ice cream, but you get to eat real food (meat, cheese, eggs, cream...) and you wont be hungry.

QUESTION:
Should weight loss be that hard to maintain?
No matter how you lose weight, once you get down to where you want to be it shouldn't be 'that' difficult to maintain it. During weight loss women are instructed not to consume less than 1200 and men not less than 1500 calories a day, which can be restrictive, but not 'that' much.Once off the diet, the average female and male adult will burn 2000 to 3000 calories a day without making time for exercise. If you only eat three meals a day, then 665-1000 calories is a generous sandwich or plate with a drink on the side. If you include an hour of moderate exercise, you can add about 300-500 calories to your daily total.
I don't think 4-6 small meals throughout the day is the way to go. Claims that it "revs" up your metabolism are by far overrated. It gets you thinking way more than you need to, promotes tooth decay, gets you looking at the clock, and doesn't allow you to have decent sized meals.
Eating three meals a day, 4-5 hours apart, without bothering to look at the clock, and just having an idea of how many calories you're consuming without having to pull a calculator out at every meal, seems to be the way to go. On 'actual' special occasions, you may eat thousands of calories over your approximate daily limit, but nobody ever became fat from this. I am talking from personal experience. What are your thoughts?
-
ANSWER:
I have to agree with you. Nobody gains a ton of weight after one night of a three coarse meal, some desert and a cappachino. I also agree that 3 meals a day, no snacks is the way to go. You can be full and go longer periods without eating, rather than the constant eating of smaller meals. A meal is a meal, so when you say small, people can go from 200 - 700 calories per meal. Rather than the regular, old fashioned Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner.

QUESTION:
Pee from Pregnant women used for Weight Loss?
Apprantly in America (where else) people are drinking pregnant womans wee and are claiming it aids in weight loss. Is this true? How much do these pregnant women sell their wee for?I mean, if they are into that in the UK i might start selling my wee. This is not a troll question, I saw it on Russell Howards Good News, it was on a US news show.
-
ANSWER:
I'm from the US and haven't heard of that.LOL... that's not to say that people over here haven't/don't do a lot of crazy things looking for an easy weight loss trick... I still can't quite believe that some people have resorted to drinking urine, though. Perhaps isolating certain hormones from urine, sure, makes sense, but actually drinking it? o.O That'd take some serious desperation.
