Weight Loss Diet For Women

"The history of diet plan dated from the moment that the first monkey evoluted to be a lady". My confidant jessica always says so. Wow, you may get the point. Just as what she says, her "process of becoming beauty" turns out to be a long long road like the human being evolution history.
When we were sophomore, I had to catch her back to our dormitory from square, because this guy actually asked me such questions, "wil, why are there so much candy floating on ground? Are they sweet 00004000 y? Could I have them?". Well, you couldn't eat them until you became transformer. I told myself. What could I do? The only thing was to buy real candy and huge hamburgs feeding this extreme hungry girl having no food for three days!
Then the next time, I saved her life from endless jogging and aerobic training. After that, jessica experiences differential "keep-fit" programs, and I go through kinds of rescue stories.
The only result I get from jessica's lession is that losing weight is really really hard, and beauty is cruel. I comfort myselt that it is not bad to be Ugly Betty, at least I could be safe and I am alive. Yet one day, jessica turns up again, glamorously and brightly. No baby fat, no laziness, but body tight and healthy!
I even couldn't believe my eyes. What have you met? A generous orthopedic surgeon?
She smiles mysteriously, and gives me the data. What is it? I read it with suspicion at first. Yet during the process of reading, I am really convinced of by Isabel De Rios. Yes, that is the truth of beautya"no harm for health, and be energetic.
Then I do some detailed study on The Diet Solution Program, Isabel De Rios' theory. I find that two new viewpoints bright Diet Solution Program.
The first is that you are what you eat. Of course we eat everyday, and acquire energy from food. Yet maybe people don't know that some food are gooda"nutritional for them; some food are bada"harmful for them. The Diet Solution Program tells people how to choose food, and what and when to eat.
The second is to free people's nature, so they could design their own diet plans on different circumstances. It means that people will not obey strict rules, for example people could only have one apple a day, or the calories is less than 100. Otherwise the diet plan would be failed!
To be frank, I have never met such easy and useful the diet solution program. Only a few days later. I feel the whole body is full of energy, the fat disappears, even the pores on face is smaller.
What a magic program! You could read the ebook here , and another beautiful one for yourself.

Try low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein, and exercise. The foods are low caloried, and yet filling and healthy. Brisk walking is great for burning body fats.

It is my lifestyle now. I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs/14kg and gained better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs/49kg for more than a year, with more fruits and complex carbs.

  4. QUESTION:
Why is almost every diet plan and weight loss center focused on women?
I am a guy that cares about my health and looks and want to lose weight but almost every commercial I see for weight loss is only meant for women such as diet pills, diet food plans, and gyms/weightloss centers. Why don't they have stuff for both men and women or at least have the same amount of stuff focus on men's weightloss?

    • ANSWER:
hydroxycut, good product, gears towards both. so does lipo-6. i think its just the tv ads that you are getting this interpretation. if you pick up any issue of "Flex" magazine, or "Muscle & Fitness" and you will see all kinds of ads for men.

Woman watch more tv during the day, house wives, then men do. thus, it would be good marketing that they are geared towards woman.

What's the best weight loss pill for women without having to exercise or diet?
My friend lisa weighs 180 and im worried for her health but she doesn't really have the time or stamina to diet or exercise and i wouldn't mind losing some weight myself.

    • ANSWER:
For the sake of your friends health (and her wallet) , try to avoid pills if possible.

Exercise does not have to be that time consuming or difficult. It can be as simple as walking & need only take 30 or so minutes out of your day (which is nothing really). Even walking 15 mins to school, work or the shops & 15 mins home again would be sufficient & enjoyable.

And eating healthy is not that hard. There are plenty of healthy options easily accessable out there, if you look hard enough.

  7. QUESTION:
What's a good diet supplement for weight loss in older women?

    • ANSWER:
My personal opinion is that you could take Acai Berry, is being used to help people lose weight because it is able to control the appetite of its users and it also increases metabolism. When metabolism rates increase, the body is able to burn foods faster and it will also burn the fat that is already stored in the body. The body will also receive more energy with increased metabolism, allowing individuals that exercise with a more rewarding workout.
The benefit that individuals receive when they use acai berry products is the influx of antioxidants. When a person has a diet that is high in antioxidants, they may notice that their body is better equipped to handle certain disease and sicknesses. The antioxidants help to repair cells that are damaged by the oxidation process that arises in the body. In addition, the body’s immune system is strengthened by the antioxidants.

  8. QUESTION:
what is the good way to lose weight, a diet, a weight loss program for a women?

    • ANSWER:
The same as it is for men. Drink plenty of water. Get plenty of sleep. And burn more calories daily than you are ingesting. If you want to bulk up (add muscle) do heavy weightlifting with heavy weight with fewer reps. If you want to drop weight and tone, do lots of cardio (dance, jumping rope, running, biking, etc.) with lighter weights and more reps. I work out about 5 times a week. I do martial arts.

The key is to keep your heartrate elevated continuously for at least 30 minutes. My normal workout takes about 50 minutes. I've lost 40lbs over the last year or so.

  10. QUESTION:
What is the best diet pill for women?
What is the best weight loss/diet pill for women? either something youve tried that worked for you or maybe a legit website that has a list of good ones.

    • ANSWER:
I don't reccomend that you take any diet pills. Let me tell you why??? Diet pills just speed up your adernal gland... making your heart beat faster... and making you more tired... after the rush... yet if you are looking to lose weight fast... try the Atkins Diet... the first two weeks are really hard but you can lose 10-15 pounds in only 2 weeks...

Yet, if you still insist on diet pills... the one that I now works best for me is: Hydroxycut

  12. QUESTION:
What diet pill/weight loss pill/supplement/vitamin for women should I take to kick start?
I am 21 and a female. I'm 5'4 and 139 pounds. I exercise doing 3-4 days a week cardio intervals, weight training, resistance training, stretching, and circuits. I eat very healthfully, I've done the eat enough calories, eat less calories, eat more calories. I've done the 6 small meals, I've done the 3 meals and 2 snacks, I've done every food diet possible that doesn't involve meat(besides fish once in awhile) because I am a vegetarian. No matter what I try I cannot LOSE weight. I understand muscle weighs more than fat and to burn fat you build muscle and gain weight first, but I am not muscular nor fat so that doesn't apply to me, and I've kept this steady weight over the last 2 or so years. Except last year when there was a death in the family and I dropped weight like crazy from stress and getting on a medication to deal. But, I've been off the meds for awhile and living a healthy lifestyle and I can't lose it(I'm looking to be miniminally 115-120, less if possible). My BMI says I'm normal, but I don't feel good with myself. I get that the BMI doesn't say everything about a body, but to look at me I have a thin look with curves if that makes sense. I'm 34c/27/36. Anyways, what I'm getting at is does anyone know any supplements/pills/etc that can help me kickstart a weight loss, I'm not going to replace my lifestyle with it, I just need a booster. Please give me some suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

    • ANSWER:
There aren't any and you don't weigh enough to qualify for the only one with FDA approval.
Nothing for it but sensible eating and exercise.

If you eat 3,500 calories more than your body needs, you will put on about 1 pound. If you use up 3,500 calories more than you eat, you will lose about 1 pound in weight.

Does anyone know of a cutting diet & Macro-nutrients for weight loss for female woman?
I am trying to lose weight and gain muscle but I would really like to lose more fat at this stage and need help finding a cutting diet.

It would really help if I had the macronutrients to calculate my carbs proteins and fats.

Right now I am just on atkins since I am a carb sensitive female and lately I have been on a plateau in search of a new diet.

Please advice if you know of any cutting diet

    • ANSWER:
Losing weight doesn't have to be complicated but it just takes a little bit of will power.

Just get into the habit of swimming every day or two and stick to it.

Also for a normal (non drastic) diet that works you might want to see:

  17. QUESTION:
Postmenopausal women - best weight loss product?
I am postmenopausal now and no matter what I do I can not lose weight. Is there a diet product or diet that seems to work better than others for those in our group. I've really cut down on eating and walk vigorously most days but nothing. Diets that work on younger women probably won't work for me as they have a different metabolism/hormonal balance. Any suggestions.

    • ANSWER:
Try low "carbing". Thats probably not what you want to do (I don't like it) but it works. You have to give up things like bread and ice cream, but you get to eat real food (meat, cheese, eggs, cream...) and you wont be hungry.

  18. QUESTION:
where can i find a forum or community for women that are dieting or trying to lose weight?
i've been trying to stick with a diet for the past month or so, but find that it's a lot easier for me when i have other people to talk to about tips and progress and such.
does anyone know of a community or forum where women can discuss their diets and weight loss plans with one another?

  19. QUESTION:
Why do so many women adopt the 'lazy' approach to weight loss?
Allot of women i know who are trying to lose weight very rarely exercise and tend to try out slimming tablets and diets. Why do more men exercise to lose weight than women? Are women just lazy? I am a woman and i exercise and just adopt a healthy eating plan for life, rather than for a month so i can get into a new swimsuit? I find these womens' approaches to weight loss and health disgusting.

    • ANSWER:
i dont im like you i changed my eating habits i exercise hard regulary but i do it because i enjoy it aswell plenty of times people say to me why are you doing it still they dont understand because i enjoy it makes me feel 'the buzz' afterwards

  20. QUESTION:
WHAT'S A WEIGHT LOSS DIET THAT WORKS!?
Like, I need to lose weight and I'm becoming extremely unmotivated...I tried the starvation diet, bleh! Nooo way. I lasted 2 days...I was going to try the oatmeal diet, but I read somewhere that it's only for short-term use...and I'm probably going to be on a diet for like 4-5 months...not a week, haha you get my drift?

My brother lost a lot of weight when he was about my age...he told me that he ate 3 square meals a day...

I'm kind of trying to avoid chicken and meat and so forth, (and sometimes it's cooked for dinner..bleh) so I just want to cut all of that out.

Men lose weight 25% faster than women too, so that pretty much explains why he lost the weight so fast...

Anyways...I want a diet that I can stick to, and that would actually make me lose weight...I do roughly about 1hour of exercise a day so yeah xD

    Thanks in advance.

  21. QUESTION:
Have any of you women tried the SlimQuick weight loss system and did you get good results?
I'm talking about the program tailored just for women, howwomenloseweight.com with the commercial that shows the man and the woman as overweight cartoon figures. The man diets and gets skinny, but the woman just gets smaller breasts by dieting (so funny!).

Has anyone out there tried this particular weight loss idea and did you get good results? After I have my baby, I'm considering trying it.

    • ANSWER:
The pills are worthless. The only thing that helped even a little is the drink mix does seem to help suppress appetite, but only for a very short time.

You're better off with a healthy, low-calorie diet and exercise. Log everything you eat. I lost 70 pounds by doing this.

  22. QUESTION:
What is a weight loss pill that is known for helping women lose weight?
I know the best way to lose weight is water intake, exercise and eating healthy. I'm not concerned with that. I want to know diet pills that are known to work.

    • ANSWER:
Phentermine is a prescription weight loss pill that works. You can get a prescription from a local doctor (cheap) or go on line (3x as expensive).
Side effects: addictive, insomnia, thirst, dry eyes, hot flashes, dizziness.

  23. QUESTION:
What other women out there can't lose weight despite healthy diet and exercise?
I have done everything doctors, nutritionists, magazines, and websites have recommended to get in shape and it is just futile. I need to lose about 30 more pounds. I have lost 14 lbs since January 1. Thats 14 lbs in 9 months. I have done low calorie diets with the healthiest foods available, drank water by the gallon, worked out 5x/week- aerobics with weights in addition to "parking far away and taking the stairs" and "taking 10,000 steps a day", eating small meals, and drinking tea. I have tried increasing calories following the advice of the "your body is in stavation mode" logic. I have had my thyroid testing including TSH, T3, and T4. I have been tested for blood sugar problems. Please is there anyone else who has followed the accepted philosphies on getting in shape and it hasn't worked (if so, did you find something that did)? Does anyone else think there is more to weight loss than what doctors spew about calories in vs calories out?

    • ANSWER:
i too am struggling to lose weight. i go to the gym religiously and have a trainers to consult anytime i need them. i eat healthy, low sodium, low calorie, low fat, high protein foods. do i lose weight? nope. i'm not one of those women who think that they are overweight, but are really fit and don't realize it. i am truly overweight. although i remain overweight, my doc says that i am healthier by continuing this lifestyle. she continually reminds me that it took years to put on the weight and it may take years to lose it.

i don't have any advice for you other than to keep at it. think of it this way...you've lost 14 pounds in 9 months. that's 56 pounds in 3 years! i put on my weight 5 to 10 pounds a year and it may only come off that quick...but gaining or losing, every pound counts!

Anyone familiar with HCG weight loss diet and breastfeeding/nursing. Read on for details......?
If HCG is natural in the body during pregnancy and women breastfeed while they are pregnant, can I continue to breastfeed while taking HCG? Is it the limited diet that is dangerous or the HCG? My baby is 7 months old and eats everything and drinks formula during the day, but at night she nurses for comfort I guess. So her diet does not depend on breastfeeding. Is it still ok to breastfeed then? You can email me if you'd like to for more details. Thanks!

Weight loss programme for women age 40 plus?
    Hi there,
I've already lost 30kg...from the "shock & trauma diet" after a very sudden separation/divorce. I am slimmer for the first time in my life! And I have a wonderful new partner.
But do you think I can lose the last 10kg? NO! Any tips and/or advice regarding diet & exercise would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

    • ANSWER:
What can a weight loss programme do for you? It is an organised plan created to help people lose weight. It is not for everyone, only you and your family know if you are committed. A weight loss programme is basically designed to introduce a gap between the calorie you eat in your food, and the calories you expend for energy. This calorie deficit then allows for weight loss as the body seeks to replace this calorie deficit by tapping into your body fat.

In today’s modern world, there is a lot of pressure on being slim or thin, having a good self image and enjoying good health. Gaining weight is not always about eating too much food, nor even eating the wrong food. It can however often be due to emotive issues that lie deep within our subconscious.

High levels of stress are often a major problem due to the demands made upon us in our lifestyle. The healthiest way to lose weight is not enduring a crash diet nor is it going through sudden bursts of exercise. To avoid stressing yourself even more, the body prefers slow changes in terms of eating food and physical exercise.

Many people find success with losing lose weight through a hypnotherapy programme. Quite often you may find that there was a problem that was stuck, or a deep emotional need that needs resolving. Using the subconscious resources you already have can release the issues and reasons and in turn releases the excess weight.

You can release the issues and reasons using hypnotherapy which utilises the subconscious resources you already have. This sort of weight loss programme can in turn release your excess weight.

Any unique weight loss programme targets the mind related areas where these issues lay. Often, many methods are used to move you towards healthy weight loss. Analysis helps to recreate yourself a healthier belief system and get rid of those old habits from childhood, habits such as ‘clean your plate’ or ‘eat it all up’. These commands can still be active in the subconscious. Your subconscious didn’t know you were children and it certainly doesn’t know you are an adult. The subconscious &nbspreacts to the moment of now. We can often carry these forward through our lives and they act like mind programmes that run on and on.

It’s important the hypnotherapist has a relaxed approach and a sense of humour to make people feel at ease straight away. When that happens, magic often happens and puts you back in control. And that always feels good!

Some hypnotherapists use a mixture of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Inner Child Work, Parts Therapy and Suggestion Therapy to get the results that you want. Whether it be comfort eating, snacking, chocolate cravings, boredom, sneaky midnight feasts, or not having a clue why you just can’t shed that weight, a trained hpnotherapist can often help.

Consider using a hypnotherapist for a weight loss programme. It could be the best decision you ever made, leading you to reduce weight, lower your stress levels, make &nbspbetter food choices and motivate you towards a healthier lifestyle

  29. QUESTION:
Women...do these weight loss commercials annoy you too?
I just saw a commercial for a diet program or weight loss pill where this girl was walking in a bikini and said "I used to HATE my body" "I felt like a prisioner", etc...and it really bothered me because the woman was completely normal looking in her "before" home video. My husband and I both looked at each other with the same look and I said "she looked good before, she looked healthy"

Is this the newest thing thats supposed to make women and girls hate their bodies even more? I mean, it's one thing if there is an obese woman who really needs to lose weight for health reasons but what kind of message is it sending when they show a "before" picture of a healthy looking woman and depict her as fat and horrible"? Teenage girls look at that and say to themselves- if thats fat, then I must be really disgusting....

Is it just me or is this type of advertising really getting obnoxious?

    • ANSWER:
      Hell yeah they do!
I think the worst ones are the Metabolife ones, where they have the "unhealthy" chick on one side walking and then the supposedly the same but skinnier gal on the right talking about how much weight she's lost.

Or the spotlight one, where a heavier gal is walking through the market and feels like everyone is staring at her in her underwear? That really gets me...and the Marie Osmond Nutri-System ones drive me nuts.
It's like you can't feel good about yourself, no matter what! Someone is always watching and judging you!

  30. QUESTION:
Question about weight loss pills for women?
I've gained some extra weight that I would like to get off in a couple months. I regularly diet and watch what I eat but I want to give me a boost with losing weight. I've came across three products that I've heard good things about. If you have any suggestions please comment below. Which one would you choose? I'm looking for something effective but safe.

    Decatrim
    LipoFuze
    Apidexin

    • ANSWER:
Ok, thing is with weight loss is that you never wanna use products because alot of them do have bad side effects, and the weight doesn't stay off. Here are my suggestions for you:

First of all, the most important thing you must remember with weight loss is that it does take time. It takes time for that extra weight to pile on, it will take even longer for it to fall off. That's the biggest thing I hate about weight loss, honestly. But in the long run, your patience will pay off with a happier, healthier you! 3 - 6 pounds is the most you can probably lose in two weeks, but that depends on how over weight you are. If you're like me, and need to lose maybe 20 - 30 pounds, we can lose about 4 on our first week or two of really working at it (at the very most, bear in mind, it will probably be 4 the first, 2 - 3 the next) and the rest of the time it will be 1 or 2 pounds a week. So, figuring from that information, it will probably take 3 - 4 months for ME to lose my weight. And with this information, you can figure how long it will take you to reach your goal.

As for what to eat, calorie amount, etc etc...

Well, the number one thing to remember is that you should not take in less than 1200 calories, or else your body will go into starvation mode, and you'll probably wind up gaining weight instead. Your body will burn muscle instead of fat, causing a very unhealthy and unattractive look. You don't wanna go down that road. Eat around 1200 - 1600 calories a day, maybe even more, depending on your activity level, height, weight, age, sex, and target weight.

The best foods to eat would definitely be vegetables (carrots and celery are very very good), fruits (apples and berries are very good too, both speed the metabolism, as well as celery and carrots do. but try not to live off ONLY fruits. they are good, good for you and they taste sweet, but they due to tend to have a high sugar content in them), low-fat dairies (good for vitamins, calcium and protein, but most are so high in fat, so keep the intake to a minimum) whole wheat products and lean sources of protein (such as eggs, turkey, chicken, fish, nuts, lentils, chick peas, and beans). Drink 2 - 3 liters of water daily, and I'd recommend some green tea (natural, with no sugar). Try to avoid sugary, fattening foods, diet/regular soda, fruit juices, fast food, white bread products and red meats. Also, make sure you eat just about 6 meals a day instead of 3. Make them small and healthy. Foods high in fiber are good too, because they fill you up with less food.

The best thing for exercise is cardio. It burns alot of calories and fat. I'd do 45 minutes of cardio every other day, and on the days you don't do cardio, do strength training to build muscle, which also burns fat.

Here are some cardio exercises to do:

      Swimming
      Jogging
      Power Walking
      Walking/Running On A Treadmill
Bicycling, rather on a normal bike or an exercise bike
      Jump Rope
      Running In Place
      Stair walking
      Oblique Twists
      High Knees
      Butt Kicks

Dancing, rather just a dance routine or DDR, is also a good way to burn fat and calories, if you move enough. Barely swaying your hips and moving your feet a little won't do it! Blast that dance music and dance that booty off!!

There are many different forms of just about every strength exercise. Find the ones you like best and do about 15 reps 3 times in your strength routine.

Don't forget to mix up the routine after about 2 weeks. Add more reps, do new moves, exercise longer, run faster, run farther. Whatever you can do to mix it up!!

Always stay away from fad diet and diet products because they do NOT work at all!

      Hope this helps some!!!

  31. QUESTION:
How can I effectively put myself on a good weight loss diet?
Hello everyone, in my short 19 years I have never had the luxury of being at a normal weight. Well I'm sure no one wants to here a sob story; I'll get straight to the point :-P .

If you are reading this I am sure that you know the basics of what I an going to ask, but I would greatly appreciate if you could also answer some other questions as well :) . I am having an extremely hard time losing weight, I cannot seem to go a week without going straight back to the junk food that has been plaguing me for years. After experiencing increased back and chest pains I decided that it is time for me to lose weight, and of course my family practitioner agreed; his concern for my weight and pains in the chest made me very uneasy about my future :( . I thought I could just go with my own flow and not bother reading up on articles since from what I seen, it is just someone trying to scam you for money :'(.

What I have been doing is working out for 40+ minutes a day on specific body parts and the what not. I believe I got the training down pretty decently, I weight train and walk for at least an hour day, sometimes up to 3 hours if I'm "feeling" it ha ha. Now like a lot of men and women, I just can not stop eating.

I put myself on a regular diet, which I think is correct. 4-5 small meals a day consisting of little meat (trying to substitute nuts for meat as much as I can), an apple or a banana, some good ole pasta and a piece of whole grain bread. Then it hits me, that sudden urge for greasy food and other junk. Probably the worst combo I literally ALWAYS get, a large bag of chips, 1L of coke and cookies to boot.

I try not to starve myself since I'll just end up losing water weight? and muscle (I think I heard that right at least). I am 5'11 325lbs and desperate to lose at least 140lbs by maybe years end. Any help is appreciated, even the sarcastic ones that will give me a giggle :)
Am I doing the correct routine?
How can I stop these "urges" to eat?

Will I ever know why Uwe Boll continues to make terrible movies?

    • ANSWER:
      Hi,

I graduated high school at 240 pounds and at 5 foot 3 that made me about as round as I was tall. I was one of those overweight teenagers who ate anything and everything without any regard to the effects it was having on my own body. Therefore, I began the diet pills, which did not work; I ate the special diet foods and even began drinking diet beverages. None of this stuff worked for me, just as it does not work for millions of overweight people. Eating less did not work and I was not one to work out or even get up and do anything remotely related to exercise. I knew I would look silly and it would hurt. I never thought or really cared about the health effects this would have on me, back then.

A year ago after a successful weight loss plan, now at 120 pounds, it is a major difference. I've lost 30 pounds in the first month. The most significant change in my life is the amount of energy I now have and the way my clothes fit loosely. Everyone close to me and people I haven’t seen in a while are amazed and tell me that I look really good. This is a life changing experience for me although at first I was skeptical about the weight loss plan.

Without getting too technical, there is a hormone produced by your thyroid gland called 'Thyroxine' that raises the metabolic rate of almost all the cells in your body. The weight loss program has proven to be effective in the short and long-term, without need to endure starvation and without any daily athletic workout. (But taking a light exercise every few days is highly recommended). Best of all you can eat what you most enjoyed without gaining any weight The weight loss program is affordable by all and do not need to pay a monthly fees to use it. In contrast to diet pills regime where you need to buy it on a regular basis and you will gain more weight when you stop taking it.

The success has inspired me to help others and you could contact me at myweightsuccess@gmail.com if you need more details.

    A weight loss for women?
My best guy friend is taking a male supplement called Testoripped and has seen amazing results... weight loss and awesome muscle definition and gain...

I was wondering if anyone knows of any female supplements that are comparable to this, either specific products or vitamin type stuff. I know many are just a rip off.

I work out 5 days a week and was wondering if there is anything for women to aid in weight loss/getting in shape. Like I said I work out and eat a healthy balanced diet.

    Thanks.

    • ANSWER:
in that case you should be fine without meds
people shouldnt depend on meds to lose weight
i mean, weight lost with wil power and effort is probably going to stay lost while the weight lost with no effort except swallowing a pill will be gained again since you will be careless since you know that you still have the pills which your body will probably get used to in a while and will start to have no effect
anyways just keep working out and eat healthy is my suggestion

  34. QUESTION:
Women - Would you pay money for weight loss?
I have battled with weight for about 6 years since I hit my early twenties. Due stress, comfort eating and pure lack of exercise. However in the last couple of years I tried all sorts, gym every day, atkins, reducing calories etc - and in general I don't eat junk because we never buy any.

I lost half of what I wanted to lose to start with and another half this year. I did it by quitting the conventional diets and following a plan I made for myself after understanding my body, metabolism etc.

I really think that a lot of people would benefit from and and see results, however in order for me to share my experience it would take me a long time to write everything for others to follow, that's why I was thinking of starting a diet / weight loss book or programme of some sort? I would have to write this book / programme and it would take long and don't want to be disappointed with no sales.

I know it works - but how many of you would pay for a diet / weigth loss programme. [Not a get skinny quick thing - but you see results in week one or even a few days] - there are no side effects and I would want my customers to verify with their physician before they decide to follow through.

If you have had weight issues and struggled or are still struggling would you pay? My idea is to split it into 3 phases, so that after pase one clients who see change will come back for phase 2 ( / £10 per phase) etc.

    • ANSWER:
      Most certainly....... . I would pay. :}

Strength training program for women? [weight loss?] PLEASE HELP!?
Im on a diet and im doing cardio, now i just need to add in strength training for weight loss, i want to lose the stomach fat and the thigh fat, can anyone make me a plan for strength training at home or tell me what your doing? Im not in a gym, i do my exercising at home. 3 day or a 4 day plan would be wonderful! Please help! thanks.

    • ANSWER:
It's very hard to lose weight in a specific area because like gaining weight, the body just does it wherever it wants to. Diet and exercise are great, but in your case, you want to build muscle which will burn even more fat. I would suggest buying a couple sets of free weights (such as two five pounds and two ten pound weights) and then trying some of these exercises:

      http://www.strength-training-woman.com/strength-training-exercises.html

There are sections that tell you what muscle group the exercises target, but I would try to work out every muscle group possible. The best thing to do, in my opinion, is to alternate muscle groups on Monday and Wednesday, then Tuesday and Thursday. For example, focus on upper body/arms on MW and on TR focus on lower body/legs. Just pick a few exercises and do those for a couple of weeks and then pick new exercises that work the same muscle groups for the next couple of weeks. That way the body doesn't get used to a certain motion and it will continue to build muscle.

  37. QUESTION:
Can a 19 year old take One a day women's: Active metabolism? Will it aid in weight loss?
Hello. I am a nineteen year old female and I don't really eat like I should, and I never really exercise. Well, I do eat WELL, like foods that are good for me, but I don't eat enough. I just can;t force myself to eat more than 1000 calories of fruit and whatnot a day. But as far as exercise goes, I am guilty there, I hate doing it and I don't really have time. However, I am going to commit myself to doing about half an hour to an hour of jogging a day, but my diet will probably remain the same.

I was wondering if, since I don't exercise a lot, one a day womens (active metabolism) would help aid me in weight loss and diet regulation, even to some degree.

I don't know if it actually does help boost your metabolism even if you don't exercise, but I need a supplement that WILL DO THAT. However, I thought that this one might be a good idea because since I don't eat much, and it's a multivitamin for women, it would give me the things that I don't get from food as well.

However, a metabolism booster is my main goal. So if you know something other than this that boosts the metabolism, then please tell me, and I will get a more simple multivitamin to go along.

Admittedly, if they still prescribed amphetamines for fatigue and weight loss instead of just ADD I would definitely try for that. But I just have to go for the next best thing, so any help would be appreciated.
Well like I said, I basically already have set a "calorie limit"

But, I don't care what anyone here thinks, I can not spend my whole week exercising. I have a baby to take care of twenty four seven, so I probably burn enough calories as it is not even trying. However, as far as REAL, official exercise, I WILL NOT do it for more than 30-60 minutes a day. And probably not even every day.

    • ANSWER:
That is a supplement. Just like all the other tons of "fat loss, energy booster" products it is only a supplement. Exercise and proper diet is a must before you can even consider these types of pills to work with your body. You dont have to eat 1000 calories of fruits (id probably puke if i tried) just dont eat over a certain calorie number. To be honest, i ate barely any fruits and veggies, but i lost nearly 50 pounds so far. Thats because i set a calorie limit of no more than 2000 a day no matter what, and i exercised 5 times per week.

So if you try these pills or any other for weight loss, set a calorie limit, and exercise. It wont work on its own.

  38. QUESTION:
    Weight Loss Diet Plan?
I am 6ft tall woman who weighs 168lbs - i would like to loose 15 - 20lbs by Halloween. I run my own business and am extremely busy so long workouts really dont work for me - does anyone have a diet plan thats easy to follow and would allow to loose that weight? also, i am vegan so hope that is not too much of a problem - thank you!

    • ANSWER:
Cut out all simple carbs including white flours, white pasta, and of course desserts. Get rid of all sugar in diet. One really good natural sweetener that's good to use if you ever get a really bad craving for something sweet that will not make you gain weight that even diabetics can use is xylitol (My personal favorite because it has no aftertaste and tastes almost the same thing as sugar except better). You can buy this from the health food store but make sure the xylitol you buy is not taken from corn. Another good one is honey and Agave syrup. Agave syrup is from a cactus plant. There's also Stevia to use as a sweetener except this has a bad aftertaste :( . All these sweeteners are natural which is good for your health unlike Splenda or Sweet n Low which can over a long period of time, turn to formaldehyde in the brain (which can kill you). Always remember to only eat fruits and vegetables, nuts, grains, and natural healthy sweeteners. Do not eat too many dairy products either. And always remember to keep it at three meals a day.

  39. QUESTION:
What is the safest & most effective store bought weight loss pill?
I want to try a weight loss pill to help give my work out & diet an extra boost. What is the most effective & safest weight loss pill for women specifically in their 20s? Please no rude comments.. just a straight answer with details & if you used the pill & your results.

    • ANSWER:
Allow me to be completely honest, I suffered from obesity all my life, and that forced me to try every store bought weight loss product there was and I never saw any results. There's no quick fix for weight loss, but it doesn't have to be hard either. As long as you find a healthy way of losing weight. I don't know if you pay attention to the labels but most of them say you get results when combined with a healthy diet and exercise. So keep doing what your doing and find a diet that actually helps you lose weight fast.

  42. QUESTION:
    Weight Loss pill for women?
Ok, so there's this commercial out there (haven't seen it on TV in over a week) that is for a diet pill specificially for women who have trouble losing weight due to hormones and stress. It's a commercial with a couple, they're just sketch drawings, and the husband continuously loses weight and the wife loses a couple pounds and complains. Anyone seen this one? Does anyone know which product that's for? I cannot remember what the product is and I'd like to look into it. Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
Do NOT take diet pills! They are dangerous!!

Last year I was visiting my parents and took diet pills on top on my exercise routine and normal diet. I was 26 at the time, 5'11, 180 lbs. By week three I was sick. I had diarrhea, dry heaves, dizziness, headaches, and a general feeling of being sick. I thought I had caught the flu or something. I had lost 13 lbs in 4 days. One morning I told my mom I didn't feel good. My vision kept blacking out and I felt (for lack of a better way to say it) stoned. Later that afternoon I was walking from the bathroom to my bedroom (a 5 foot walk) and I passed out. I was rushed to the hospital emergency where they did a bunch of tests on me.

My pulse was up to 120, My blood pressure was 150/40, they had to start me on an IV, the did an EKG on me, took blood and urine samples, and a whole barrage of other tests.

They finally got me stabilized and said that I was dehydrated and malnutritioned. I told him that I took diet pills. When I mentioned diet pill, the doctors face lit up and said that's why. He said they can cause a whole bunch of health problems, including death. He told me to toss the diet pills or next time I might not be so lucky.

I was kept in the hospital for almost 10 hours, given 3 or 4 IVs, potassium, juices, and monitored (by the EKG, blood pressure, and heart rate machines) every 15 minutes.

Please take my story as a warning. If you seriously want to loose weight there are better ways (I know because I've lost weight after this)

The quickest way is to cut out red meats, starches, breads, sugars, alcohol, and sodas.

Eat veggies (salads are good), soups, and drink TONS of water. If you get hungry between a meal, drink water to fill up.

In moderation eat white meats, and fruits (fruits contain natural sugars, and that can put on weight)

Practice portion control. Yes, you'll feel hungry at first, but think of your goal, and soon your stomach will start shrinking and you won't have that feeling anymore.

Eat 5 times a day. A small breakfast. A mid-morning snack, such as an apple. A small lunch. A mid-afternoon snack, such as carrots. A lite dinner. Do not eat any later than 7pm (6pm is better.)

Go exercise for at least an hour - two a day, incorporating weight training along with your cardio. Cardio helps to melt the fat, while weight training builds muscle. Muscle burns fat, even when you are resting. You get the idea. It also gives tone and definition. Also do a few yoga and pilates exercises to help tone those hard to reach and stubborn areas

  43. QUESTION:
    women weight loss question?
okay, so i realize i need to lose some weight (5-10 pounds) but im wondering...is it at all possible to lose the weight on my lower abdomen? its right below my belly button and i've heard that all women have it and its there to protect our ovaries...a kind of evolutionary trait we've developed or something...
    can it go?
also, do you guys have any advice about work outs that really get the job done without requiring lots of special equipment or time? i can only work out for maybe an hour each day...
and sometimes motivation is a problem for me :(
and diet advice is good too...i never know when or what or how much to eat...i don't eat meat...don't drink sugary drinks, and rarely have junk food.
i just over-eat, even tho it tends to be on healthy stuff.
i hate my lower abdomen and my thighs...gross...and i'm feeling terrible right now cuz this guy is messing with me :( , so i wanna lose weight...even tho that doesn't make sense

    • ANSWER:
If you afford a bo-flex or any other exercise equipment, buy it. In my opinion, all women should invest in a piece of exercise equipment that they enjoy. It helps to fight stress and improves the way you percieve yourself

  44. QUESTION:
Why are Women targeted in Weight-loss?
Everytime there is an ad on telly, it always has women in it who are whinging about their on a Diet, or how much weight they've lost.

Same goes for the low-fat ads.

    • ANSWER:
Speaking as a man, we tend to be more content with our looks. We have the notion in our head that we look good no matter what. Of course, there are exceptions to this.

Women, on the other hand, tend to be more concerned with their appearance (makeup, hair, weight, etc.). They seem to never be content with their looks.

I'm speaking in generalities and don't mean to offend anyone. :)

also dont talk about diet here please i know i need to eat healthy and i am - less carbs, less fats, less sugar ect ect

    • ANSWER:
Honey, you are going about it the right way. A change of lifestyle is exactly what you need. Follow a healthy diet and continue the exercise routine you're on. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water, and NO SODA! The weight will go, and you'll feel happier and healthier. If you get bored, go for a walk or a run, or swim. Anything that keeps you moving for about an hour a day will do it! Be patient and persistent and you'll get the results you want.

  46. QUESTION:
What is the very best diet/weight loss book you have ever read?
The book that really helped you the most to change your eating habits, live a healthier life, and lose weight permanently?

I am considering trying the GI (glycemic index) diet. It seems pretty healthy, and was originally developed to help diabetics regulate their blood sugar levels. I am not diabetic, but have turned into one of those "apple" shaped women who are at risk for the disease.

I have been a yo-yo dieter for years. The most successful diet, for me, was the Atkin's Diet. In thirteen months, I lost about 75 pounds, wearing the same size clothes I did in high school. The best thing about Atkin's was that, after only a few days, all the cravings I had lived with so long completely disappeared! That was a huge deal for me. I fell off the wagon while on a week-long cruise, gaining an incredible 10 pounds in less than a week, and it was downhill from there... Later, I had to have a liver biopsy, and I think the "spot" may have been from all that fat.

    Katherine

    • ANSWER:
I think is the G.I. Diet because I think eating by the Glycemic Index is just HEALTHY way to eat and its a program you can live on forever. Your never hungry and you can eat a lot of food. I also think that WEIGHT WATCHER'S is also good. The problem with most "DIETS" is that there is no way to maintain your weight loss. Everyone is real good about telling you how to LOSE the weight but not bothering to tell you How to keep the weight OFF.
The fact is that 98% of ALL weight loss over 25 lbs comes back plus more. These people fail because they didn't change their eating patterns.....they just dieted. Unless you find a way to eat for Life....you will not keep the wight off. Only 2% keep it off for life. I lost almost 200 lbs(by myself) and have kept it off for 25 years, but keeping thr weight off is so much harder than the initial weight loss...its very easy to slide back into bad eating. I love the GI program & Weight Watchers because you won't suffer, feel deprived and you can keep your weight off.

  47. QUESTION:
Any P90X weight loss results for women?
My boyfriend just bought P90X and I've seen some youtube videos and testimonials from some people, but I wanted to know more. I want to know if anyone has lost weight on P90X without using the included diet plan? I know the diet plan would work, but I don't want to go by that. I've lost weight before by eating what I want and just keeping the calories below 1400; however, in the book it says you NEED to follow the included diet plan because of the perfect proportion of protein and carbs and blah blah blah. I already know that I WILL lose weight if I just keep my calories at 1400 and workout everyday, I just want to know if any other women out there have had any WEIGHT LOSS success?
The reason I don't want to follow the diet plan is because I'm a college student and I don't have the money to buy all these fancy foods. I've read through the book and I can already see I'd have to buy all kind of stuff and cook foods that I don't know how to cook. I don't have the money to do this, this is why I'm asking for ANY alternatives that have WORKED.

  49. QUESTION:
Online Diet and weight loss forum?
Can anyone recommend an online diet and weight loss forum? (The sort of chat board thing where you join and chat back and forth by posting on a message board.)

I've recently started a nutrition and exercise program, and I'm doing well, but I thought it would be nice to talk with others who are doing the same. I guess I should mention I'm a guy, so I guess "women only" forums are out, and I'd prefer a place that is more about losing big numbers. I'm going for 70 lbs.

Anyhow. I see plenty of forums out there, but there are SO many, I thought it would be a good idea to get a recommendation.

(Please don't suggest I join Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig or something I'm on a program and I like it. I'm just looking for an online community.)
I should have mentioned - I am looking for a forum that you are personally recommending as friendly and pleasant. Answers that just randomly post weight-loss websites are not useful at all. (Like the answer below, for instance!)

    • ANSWER:
Recently, at work, I had to do a lot of research into weight loss. I found plenty of weight loss communities online. But as for the most active and most helpful forums, I'd recommend one of these three:

      http://weight-loss.fitness.com/
      http://www.obesitydiscussion.com/
      http://www.caloriesperhour.com/forums/

Also, as far as information and articles go - I'd check out the Journal on MicroNutra.com. They're a pretty sweet natural health company, and they're also very helpful and informative. There's not much a community there, but the amount of free information is astounding. Especially for the weight loss segment.

  50. QUESTION:
Question about weight loss/ diet!!!! PLEASE TELL ME WHAT's going on with my body!!!?
For the past 6 weeks, i've been working out like a mad woman, daily for the most part. I mean i have missed a few days here and there but you know what I mean.

I've mostly been doing the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred dvd which includes a strength training/cardio combo...along with independent strength training, cardio, dancing and following a healthy diet

HOWEVER, my clothes have recently gotten tighter....and when I say recently I mean clothes that fit nicely 2 weeks ago are now VERY snug.....

Please tell me what's going on, I'm very depressed and very discourage at this point. I don't plan on giving up but I'm going back to school soon and I don't want to look swollen you know...I want my clothes to fit nicely and reflect my hard work over the summer

    • ANSWER:
I've had the same thing happen to me...
I was told that I was burning fat but I was actually increasing my muscle so that is where the tightness was coming form..
