It lowers the excess water content in the body and it doesn't have any effect on blood pressure. This provides you with antioxidant protection that prevents bad toxins from entering the body and speeds up the metabolism. The next in the tier system is the cactus extract. This has a positive effect on the blood lipid parameters by interacting with the fats in the body. It normalizes your sugar level and decreases your appetite. The Capsiplex forms the last tier. This burns down calories in proper proportions so that; you do not lose much energy during and after exercises. You will be able to do a lot of physical activity and also achieve weight loss.

Products to boost metabolism, heighten energy and assist weight loss + L-carnitine?
I have researched proven supplements and remember from my previous fitness days that L-Carnitine was a supplement that I was told to look out for. I now want to find a product (shake or pills) that will boost my metabolism, give me lots of energy, help in my weight loss and contains L-Carnitine.
I am a teacher and work ridiculous hours, so need the energy boost now I have joined a gym again. I have an extremely low metabolic rate and I need to decrease my body fat % quickly, as was told that it is currently 5% above the top suitable % for my age and height.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    • ANSWER:
A higher metabolism is associated with a shorter life expectancy. If your metabolism is low because of yo-yo dieting, that may be a blessing in disguise.

I tried exercise, but despite an hour a day of aerobic exercise 5 times a week, I became a very fit fat person without losing a pound. My appetite followed my activity level. I studied five NIH grant funded nutritionists who are not associated with industry funding. They all recommended a pure plant based diet and it worked for me. lost 80 pounds and have kept it off.

The best writer on this topic is Dr. Joel Fuhrman. I verified his research and found him to be exceptional. The consensus reality in Western culture about weight and dieting is just plain wrong.

Don't try to boost your metabolism, just eat right and avoid processed foods. Whole plant based foods is the answer.

  5. QUESTION:
Is it true that we all have worms and parasites inside our stomach and bowels?
I was just on the net looking at weight loss products when i came across a Dr who is trying to sell a product called Top fat loss secret, this Dr is claiming that it is due to us having parasites and worms in our stomach's and bowel that we are fat and getting sick. This doctor is also claiming that all Dr's know this but do not want us to know about this because that is how you make your living by keeping us sick and fat. What is the truth about intestinal worms and parasites do we all have them? How do you know if you do have them? How do we get rid of them and start to become healthy again?

    Yours Sincerely
    Cheyne O

    • ANSWER:
Completely false. AND, people who really have parasites are emaciated (bone thin) because the parasites rob them of nutrients. This guy is really a quack (one of the more far out ones I must say). I have seen a lot of poop in my years in the medical profession, and other than pin worms; only a small handful of parasites.

  6. QUESTION:
What do I do if I want to lose weight when ive got a pear shaped body?
I look fine on top but anything below waist is just out of proportion for my height and weight. It's crazy. I look thin ontop but so FAT at my hips, butt, thigh, calves. i've been going on a diet since a forever and I dont see any change and im feeling really disappointed. I run everyday and eat about 1200-1500kcal everyday. Should i eat less? What should I be eating? What kind of exercise should I be doing? Running/jogging/skipping do they help? I really want to lose weight. Honestly I gained these weight because of prozac and paxil I took a few years ago. Im 165cm and 50kg. I was 42kg and at that time i looked fine. I dont think it's possible to get back to my own size because of all the fat i see hanging on my body. I feel really ugly and even when i go on a diet it's not the fat disappearing, it's probably just water. I dont want myself to become bulky from weight lifting. Yoga? Any suggestions please??
No weight loss products please. all natural thanks.

    • ANSWER:
jogging, squats and lunges work, as well as aerobics, you wont be muscly because all you are doing is lifting your own weight.
anything that gets you sweating will help you lose weight
but at 50kg you dont need to lose any weight you are fine, the best thing for you to do is do the excersizes above but dont diet as you dont need to lose the weight its the toning you need.

Ok so I have had a hard life. Anyone or time ive been disliked it started with my weight-first appearance. i have a 1600 calorie diet
    I drink tons of water
everyday I walk an hour and a half in the morning and 2 hrs after school
I do thirty min of fun dancing everyday
on weekend i do laps for an hour(frid sat and sund) on top of reg work out
This is my new schedule and its working out good.
    Just started monday
Do you think ill lose 2 lbs a week

  12. QUESTION:
Could These be the Causes of My Weight Loss Plateau?
***** could get long, but please read on and help as much as you can, thanks *****

im on the insanity workout program and im almost done with the second/last month. the second month workouts can be described as being about twice as hard and long as the first month's workouts. when i first began the second month workouts i started noticing that i was sore in at least two areas almost everyday and my energy level started decreasing. and for the last two weeks, ive only lost about 3 pounds despite losing about 17 pounds in the last month and a half.

with that said.. im thinking.. due to the length and difficulty (1 hour/circuit training) or the second month's workouts, my body is probably overtrained and fatigued, which ive read causes weight loss plateaus in some people, what do you think? plus being over 60 pounds overweight my body takes extra beating during insanity ON TOP of the workout itself.

and about 4 days ago i got a painful canker sore on my right tonsil that also sent sharp pain to my right ear and trust me it was excruciating! ive also read that canker sores could be caused by stress and fatigue (<- jackpot?). i didnt workout the past 4 days since i couldn't and i figured i should give my body a break.

also, the past 2 weeks i havent really been eating 5-6 portioned meals a day like what every weight loss professional will tell you to speed up metabolism, so maybe that played a part in my plateau? sometimes when i take whey protein (proven to curb appetite) after my workout, i would go 4-5 hours without eating because i simply didnt feel hungry, sometimes i would just notice my stomach being empty and have that "oh shi-" moment and run to the kitchen to get something to eat in order to kick my metabolism back up.

also ive thought, due to skipped meals, my body cant get the energy from foods it needs to fully recover itself in time for the next day, which might also explain me being overtrained, but what do you think?

and finally, ive always had trouble sleeping and the past 2 weeks is no exception, i would sleep at 10 or 11, only to wake up at 5:30.

so yeah, based on those assumptions, would those be valid causes of my plateau? if not, please give suggestions. thank you!

I think this is a reasonable request and i hope someone can help me.

    Thanks x

    • ANSWER:
Be careful. Don't weigh yourself every day. The numbers on the scale make you feel like crap and they fluctuate. Everyone's body changes throughout the day. Personally, I use a tape measure to see how I'm doing. If you want to fit into size 6 UK clothing, you have to be 33.5 in at the bust, 25 in. at the waist, and 35.5 in. at the hip. Add an inch to everything for size 8.

If you're currently a 10, then you need to lose an inch at every measurement to be an 8 and 2 to be a 6.

Eat mostly fruits and vegetables, like 90%, with very little meat or carbs. Do not ever feel like you're starving yourself; eat fruit when you're hungry. Drink 8-12 cups of ice water a day because your body uses calories to warm the water up to body temperature.

Look up the Pilates/yoga/aerobics exercises yourself online. I could give you some, but I really don't know which of those 3 appeal to you the most; you're the only one who knows what you want from an exercise plan.

A reasonable goal for you is to lose an inch everywhere in a month. And sometime in January, you can have lost 2.

    It's 3:24am.....

    • ANSWER:
Whey protein isolate is pure protein with little to no fat or carbohydrates. It is a perfect complement to any low carbohydrate or low glycemic index diet plan.
Recent studies by Dr. Donald Layman, a professor at the University of Illinois, have highlighted the role of the essential amino acid leucine in improving body composition. High quality whey protein is rich in leucine to help preserve lean muscle tissue while promoting fat loss. Whey protein contains more leucine than milk protein, egg protein and soy protein.
Protein helps to stabilize blood glucose levels by slowing the absorption of glucose into the bloodstream. This in turn reduces hunger by lowering insulin levels and making it easier for the body to burn fat.
Also, make sure you are consuming a high quality chemical free whey product minus any fillers and
additives. Here is a good link on comparing whey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILvc78mVZVc

On one hand, it may not compliment my new figure but it is cosy (especially with autumn approaching) and feels amazing. On the other, at £30 I could perhaps buy a fleece elsewhere that would be more figure hugging but doesn't have the unique feel of a 'Fat Face' product?

  22. QUESTION:
    Energy level is very low?
I am not vegetarian but pescatarian I probably consume seafood typically shrimp maybe 4-5 times a month. I am hypoglycemic. I make sure I get lots of protein as is required with my condition and I avoid eating sugary products as also required. I take supplements of a Multi B vitamin, a regular multivitamin, D vitamins and calcium. I am 7-8 lbs over my ideal weight which I am working to take off. For the record my energy level is no different before I tried to lose weight I was zapped at that time too. I've taken off 15 lbs (which is a healthy pace for weight loss) since January but not due to eating a mostly vegetarian diet but because I am following a calorie counted diet appropriate for my size and height mandated by a nutritionist. I was an omnivore when originally given the calorie count of 1200 a day I keep fat at around 30 grams a day. I get my whole grains from sprouted breads and oatmeal, occasionally bulgar. I eat fruit daily usually 1 large grapefruit, or an apple, sometimes raisins. I try to get one large serving of vegetables a day that would equal a days supply but sometimes I find that hard I eat on the go. I eat a small portion of nuts daily to get omegas in. I do have slowed thinking and I often forget things that I know and would normally be easy to recall.

What else can I do to increase my energy level? I am not able to exercise because of a leg injury. If I eat more than the recommended calories I gain weight. My goal at 5'5 is 140 lbs which is still more than they say someone my height should weigh. The top "ideal" weight is 125 I don't believe in looking like a stick figure which I certainly would at that weight. It's discouraging because I have no desire to go back to eating more meat. When I was eating meat I had a little bit more energy (not much more). My digestive system doesn't tolerate it well( due to gallbladder taken out). I've been to doctors they don't think anything is wrong with me. I look very healthy. Chickpeas and lentils, straight tofu, soy milk make me feel ill when I eat them. I can tolerate some beans if eaten with a dairy product and brown rice. My protein comes mostly from tempeh and store bought meat substitutes like Light life products, Quorn, cheese, eggs. I've been doing this about a year. I want to hear from vegetarians, vegans or pescatarians only.
I am constantly tired except for perhaps the 1st 30 minutes after I get up in the morning. Otherwise I am drained most of the time.
The creatine sounds interesting I'd have to be extra careful according to the Wiki listing it can affect your blood sugar if you're hypoglycemic.

    • ANSWER:
If a lot of the soy products are bothering you, you could try other sources of plant protein. I'll attach a link to this answer with some alternatives. One thing I could recommend to you is a creatine supplement. Creatine is a nutrient normally found in meat, and vegetarians don't get a lot of it. According to Wikipedia(I know, bad source), about half of the body's stores of creatine comes from food(meat). If you have a creatine deficiency, you could improve your energy level and cognitive function with supplements. Creatine CAN be animal-free, so check around for it. However, there could also be other, non-dietary explanations for this lack of energy. Does this lack of energy seem to come and go? If so, at what times of the day do you feel this energy drain? If you have a large meal at some point in the day you could be creating a spike in your blood sugar. The crash from this "sugar high" could lead to those symptoms. Also, how much sleep are you getting and is it of decent quality? I suggest you talk to your doctor and: 1. Get a checkup with blood work, and see if you are deficient in any nutrients or suffering from any diseases or chemical imbalances; and 2. Ask him or her about alternative forms of exercise that can work around your leg injury. My first thought would be to involve swimming or water in some way. This would greatly reduce the impact of exercise on your injured leg and allow you to get some much-needed cardiovascular exercise.

  24. QUESTION:
How much weight can I lose in 12 days?
Hi. To start off, I'm 15, 5'4", and 108.5 pounds. I found out that I will be meeting my aunt for the first time ever on June 12th, and I'd like to shrink my middle and my thighs, which are rather large compared to my weight. I have 17-18 inch thighs. One is larger than the other because I have been on crutches for the past 4 weeks, though this is my last week on them, so my right leg has more muscle than my left. I have finals next week, so naturally I will lose weight from the stress of finals and the appetite loss. However, I am really looking to tone up my thighs and flatten my middle. Yes, I do have a bit of a belly, and my thighs are large for my weight. What exercises could I do to tone up my thighs and my middle, keeping in mind I cannot go to the gym to do anything but swimming? Thanks so much for the help.

Also, please don't say exercise won't be enough, because it will. I already eat under 1,000 calories a day, mostly consisting of bread and grain products. I am having stomach issues, which is why I eat so little. Also, how can I be skinnier in general? I'm one of the top 20 fattest girls in my grade (in my opinion), and I envy all the girls who don't have thunder thighs like me, which is most of them. Thanks again.
I was looking to lose at least 4 or 5 pounds, is this possible?

    • ANSWER:
Running up hills and stairs should tone thighs. Even riding bikes up hills.

  25. QUESTION:
My hair loss due to stress? or maybe just runs in my family.?
    --IT'S LONG BUT PLEASE READ--

Hmm.. I don't know where to start with this... I started to experience my hair thinning on top of my head, also my hair line is way different now because I lost hair around my temples and it is really thin. I can see the follicles but the hair is not present. I think this is because I have been under a lot of stress the past 8 months or so. I am stressed because I am in debt and i'm only 17 !!! I know 700 dollars might not sound like a lot for some people, but when you leave your job and you have a gf that you gotta make it up too because of something stupid I did, it makes it alot harder to control stress, and to stop it. Heres how it went. I was 15 turning 16 when i started putting on alot of hairspray on my hair to keep the hair style i had. This went on for a year and a half until i started noticing hair falling out and my scalp was really itchy and irritating all the time. I kept on using it because i did'nt wanna leave my hair down... it just looks weird. As i kept using it my hair fell out around my temples alot, and my scalp was really dry all the time. All this happened during my stress phase because of my gf, and I had no Job. I also started gaining weight. Before all of this happened i used to be happy and none of my hair would fall out. Oh another thing is I smoked alot of marijuana for 6 months. I ended it after the incident that happened, and i had to make it up to my gf. So i had to quit marijuana, It was really hard for me because i was so addicted to it and i didnt even realize what it was doing to my life. It also made me really depressed because i couldn't quit, and my gf threatened that she was going to leave me if i didn't choose one or the other between her or marijuana.. I obviously wanted to end marijuana for her because i love her. But i couldn't at all. My brain was so fried and i would do it behind her back. When me and my girlfriend were starting to get better I ended marijuana for good. But at this time i still hadnt paid off my debts for bank, and Nubody's. Which still left me with stress. Once i noticed my hair was falling out i didn't know what to do. I kept itching it and rubbing my hands through my hair all the time. It was like a habit. This went on for a while. This just caused alot more stress and i didnt want to work at all. But eventually my mom would always tell me to stop using the hairspray and to get a job but i was so used to not having one, i was so stupid. Hair loss is a big problem for me because im only 17 right now and i dont want my hair to fall out. I dont know if its the stress or the hairspray or what ever else. My mothers side has no baldies, but my dads side has all his brothers bald and his grand father bald. But my dad actually has hair on his head which is funny except on his hair line . I used alot of shampoos too during the phase where my hair was falling out and i did no research to help me. I recently got a job and i am happy because im going to be paying off my debts. After that i hope my stress disappears at least a little bit. I stopped using hair products, stopped smoking, stopped smoking marijuana, stopped using shampoo everyday and only use it every other day. I also started working out more and im feeling much better because i can keep my head off my hair for a while. I also try to not touch my hair even if its itchy. I read on some sites that hairs will grow back once you find out what it was that was causing it. I really hope that my hair does regrow because I miss having hairstyles and i look ugly with my hair down. I just wanna be the one in my family who has a whole set of hair on his head. Ive been going through stress for about 9 months now or maybe even a year i dont recall. I know the people who are reading this might not think that it is the stress thats causing it, and you might think that what i just wrote isnt stress... But if you were put in my shoes for that whole 9-12 months you would understand my situation and what i went through with my family, gf, friends, . It was really hard for me and i am really trying to pick my life up again and im doing really well in school now. I am really proud of myself for that. But if i could regrow my hair i would be so happy because id feel more confident and more attractive. I want you guys to do your best to tell me what you think is causing my hair loss, if it will regrow, and some tips to keeping my hair healthy. Thank you all for sharing and reading my post. : )

    • ANSWER:
You're right; it was a bit long, but you got out all the information. There are lots of things that can be causing your hair loss. I'm no doctor, but I've done some research based on my own recent spurt in hair loss. You might even want to consider seeing a dermatologist or another hair loss specialist. You're in school, and if I remember my school days properly, proper diet was not in my vocabulary. This can be an issue with hair loss or thinning hair. Also, remember, stress isn't always a bad thing--there is good stress as well, which can lead to hair loss. There are some helpful articles here: http://blog.thinninghair.com.au that might help you.

  26. QUESTION:
What are the different options for having a gallbladder removed?
The attacks were only triggered by drinking alcohol, so I just quit drinking. Now all kinds of odd things are happening, numbness in my legs/feet, swelling in my ankles and tops of feet, fatigue, loss of appetite, no desire at all to eat meat... Are these things product of kidney stones or gallbladder... or what?
    Btw, I'm not over weight.

    • ANSWER:
This type of problem is typically due to bad digestion. The numbness is most likely due to a B-12 vitamin deficiency and could have been caused by the alcohol. It's not uncommon to see huge "B" vitamin deficiencies when a person drinks lots of alcohol. The loss of desire to eat meat is generally due to the digestive problem of hypochloridia or the lack of stomach acid. Taking antacids will generate this problem and those things are very destructive to the body, especially your digestive track. Gallbladder problems are due to the liver making bad bile. Since alcohol can greatly affect the liver, it is possible this is happening as well. To remove the gallbladder is to just move the problem to another part of the body, not solve anything, accept relieve you of some pain that is there telling you that you need to change your diet.

Doctors love to take gallbladders out. They make lots of money doing this and it's an easy operation now with modern equipment. That sentences you to a life of bad fat digestion and not something anyone that understands how the body works would EVER recommend unless you were on your death bed.

I suggest you need to do several things, but number one would be to see a Certified Nutritional Therapist that can help you regain your health by making your body strong with nutrition and detoxing.

In the meantime, there are some things you can do that will help. To address the immediate issues, I would stop ALL antacids you are taking and go to: (800) 370 - 3447 and order the following products:

Betaine HCL --- take 4 of these AFTER each meal
HCL Activator -- Take 2 of these AFTER each meal
Digest --- Take 2 of these DURING the meal.
Probiotics -- Take one in the morning and one in the evening.
Pink Sea Salt --- Take 1/4 teaspoon of this for every quart of water you drink.
Gallbladder Nano --- Take 2 tsp. of this each day in water or juice.
Gallbladder Complex --- Take 2 tsp. of this in the same water or juice you put the nano in.
Liver nano detox --- Take as indicated on the bottle.
Max Stress B --- Take 1 tsp. and work up to 2 tsp. per day.

I would do all the above for 3 weeks and then start a series of coffee enemas (3 per week for 13 weeks).

When you finish this, I would change my diet to totally eliminate ALL vegetable oils, all fried foods, all hydrogenated oils. Eliminate ALL white flour, ALL soy that is not fermented, and ALL sodas.

Just doing those things listed above will change many things in your body and you will improve many bodily functions. Some of the things may sound radical, but they are very basic and do work.

The B vitamin listed above is a very special kind. It is in the end chain form and will go into your system within 20 seconds of consuming. I also recommend you finding a good source of Grass Fed Beef and eating that regularly for the B-12 deficiency.

      good luck to you

  27. QUESTION:
Anyone out there know about Usana?
Hi. I just have a quick question about this stuff. My boyfriend's friend is an associate of Usana. The package is 0 to help with weight loss. He said that the people he's sold it to have lost from 10 pounds to almost 100 pounds. As an average sized woman (size 11 jeans, medium tshirt, curvy body) i want to try this out, but i know that its hard for women to lose weight. For men its easier, i forget why. but yeah. If i do decide to take this product i'll be going to the gym (im going to the gym even if i don't get this stuff), and i'll see what happens. but my only concern is if it doesn't work. Many people say it works, and according to the salesperson, he said its the top of the line diet supplement right now. Please let me know what you think, and what is the best choice.

btw: here's the website(for the United States): http://products.usana.com/en/products/us/

    • ANSWER:
      Hi

I am from Singapore and I have been using USANA products for a year now. USANA products are of TOP Quality.

Supplementation in current days is getting more and more important as our cells are subject to Free Radical attack every second, due to our lifestyle, the food we eat (over-processed food) and lack of exercise. Even when you exercise, there are more Free Radicals attack and your body needs to have the right nutrients to support it.

To achieve a healthy body with desired weight, you need to do some exercise as well. The product recommended could be the USANA RESET. It is full of nutrients and has a Low Glycemic index and will reduce your craving.

I do not believe in Miracles but believe that with the right supplementation and a healthy lifestyle, we will have a healthy body.

Btw, USANA is the only direct marketing company that received 5-star rating in the 4th edition Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements.

SEEKING A FAST, EASY, EFFICIENT DIET! Help!?
I have a graduation coming up on April 16th, so I have roughly three weeks to become more fit prior to this occasion. I am looking to lose some weight, preferably off of my hips! I have to fit into a silk dress, so curves will be noticed, and that's my biggest pet peeve about my appearance!

I attend the gym at least three times a week, but on top of that can someone give me tips with regards to weight loss? Or, even better, an efficient diet I could use for the next three weeks to become more fit/ take care of my weight on my hips?

(Please keep in mind with regards to the diet tips, that I have several food allergies! Peanuts/Nuts, Peas/Beans, and Fish! All of which cannot be involved within the diet. It's hard to find diets without these products involved!)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
P.s. I live in a place that does not have a Lulu or places such as that in which provide easy access to free pilates and such. Or a place where I can pick up a free trial of anything! I am from Newfoundland.. So most people probably don't even know where that is! Thanks though!

    • ANSWER:
Ok.... First of all go to the Lindora website and print out there foods choices chart... it says a size and amount of something you should eat.. and stuff you should leave alone in general( like bread and such).. Believe me I tried it and i works. One top of that take pilate and yoga classes instead of going to the gym so much because yoga will help lean out your body instead of gaining muscle. Try lululemon they have free yoga and pilates classes on the weekends, just go online and find a store thats closest to you and see what day there free class is on. Some of them even have running clubs on Thursday night.

  30. QUESTION:
can someone please tell me if this essay is correct, I need to turn it in as a final by Saturday?
When it comes to a healthy life style I’d say there are three major things to consider, eating healthy; like watching your carbs, eating your 5 times a day meal routine. Exercising in order to prevent your body from becoming weak, for exercise you may join team sport, do outdoor activities. The third thing to consider would be reclaiming relaxation, learn what causes it, the effects it has towards your health when leaving with stress, and how to deal with it.
Consider the following when it comes to what you eat “All you have to run on is what you put in your mouth. The quality of your fuel and, therefore the quality of your performance depends totally on what you eat and drink. It is essential, then, to learn the best possible fueling strategy for the best and longest- lasting performance.” If your daily activity is eating fatty foods your most likely to have very low energy for performing your daily activities, you may feel tired all the time, difficulty concentrating, and many other symptoms for not eating properly. Concentrate in the following and avoid them “foods high in fat, cholesterol, salt, sugar, and alcohol. They will cause obesity, clog your arteries, and raise your blood pressure.” Try to eat foods low in fat, cholesterol, salt, sugar, and alcohol. They will improve your looks, benefit your health, and improve your mind. When you eat healthy foods, such as; vegetables, grains, plenty of water, dairy products and anything else on the food pyramid. Making sure that you eat the right portions and not over eat, you may find yourself with plenty of energy that you will not know what to do with, your focus on activities will be top nudge, you will retain much more information. Overall you will feel great when you eat healthy things.
When it comes to sugar products “avoid them” they may be delicious and all but as the saying goes “what tastes good is bad for you” Having sugary foods and drinks too often can cause tooth decay. Doctor Terry Grossman from Grossman Wellness Center states that “When you reduce sugary foods you will reduce (blood fats) better known as triglycerides and increase HDL, the beneficial, heart-protective form of cholesterol, which can be even more important in reducing heart attack and stroke risk.” So say goodbye to sodas, replace them with regular water on a glass of milk. If you are craving sweets grab yourself a fruit whether it be a banana, apple, orange, or any fruit available to you instead of going for any chocolate, donut or anything that has unhealthy sugar. Sugary products don’t provide the necessary fuel that your body needs for the healthy life style you’re looking for.
As you may have heard many experts recommend that you eat 5-6 small meals a day, why? You may ask. “When you eat 2-3 big meals a day you overwhelm your metabolic system. Not eating for more than 4-5 hours at a time slows the metabolism and your body begins to think it is starving. Food gets digested slowly and more fat is stored as an energy source “just in case” no new food comes through for a while.” “When you eat smaller portions and more frequent meals through out the day is beneficial for a healthy digestive system, weight loss and having more energy.” When talking about a small portioned meal would be a portion of cottage cheese mixed with a portion of fruit or yogurt. If you have not time you can always replace your meal with a meal replacement shake, which come in both powder and ready to drink form. If your follow these steps mentioned when it comes to your eating habits you will surely notice an increase, in energy, mind focus, weight, body shape and much more. Yes, I won’t lie it may be difficult at first but once you got it the results are breath taking.
Second when trying to lead a healthy life styles the next thing to consider and follow through is exercise. “We all unconsciously know that exercise is good for us it is fair to say that everyone wants o be healthy. At the same time, it is probably equally fair to say that most of us are not exercising enough.” It’s also said that people who are physically active live longer, since exercise helps the body maintain fit, strong and healthy to fight of illnesses. Cardiovascular disease is prevented by exercise, as well as heart disease since it lowers blood pressure. Also “The University of Illinois researches have found that Physical activity may enhance the academic achievements of children by improving their attention and working memory skills.” Many positive effects come from exercise in can produce new brain cells that can help with memory function and learning, keeps your weight in control, it prevents and controls type 2 diabetes, and much more.
When exercising I’ve myself realized that my surroundings affect my will power to start an exercise routine. My parents actually have a treadmill, exercise bike, and many more exercise equipment. But I find it difficult just climbing on the equipment and finding myself going nowhere, jus

    • ANSWER:
Your essay has great facts and support, but your grammar needs a little help and your sentence structure lacks the fluidity a generally well written essay should have. Your examples are sometimes too overbearing, and I find it difficult to take in all the words. If you want to better your essay, I think that perhaps your paragraphs should be simplified in a way that makes reading easier but effectively shows your knowledge on the subject.

Also, the last paragraph is a rather off topic end to the essay that is rather unsatisfactory the way it suddenly introduces your way of a healthy life style. If the essay's topic to begin with was about your style, then the best way to go was to first mention your life style and support it with your facts above.

  32. QUESTION:
I hired a web developer to build a site for me in June 2007.?
To date I have nothing to show for it.?
When we first met, I explained that I am not a developer/web site designer and that I needed a company that would do 100% of the work. They agreed and said they would handle everything.

I met the lead developer and we worked together great. As Christmas came, I knew the site wasn't going to be ready and that I was moving my business and didn't want the site up until we relocated. I asked them to have everything they could done so we we resumed, it would be ready to roll.

July 2008: I called and said we were ready. I had a marketing plan and was sure that our peak season (Aug-Nov) would be its best ever. Well, it's now 12-12-2008 and "I" have personally put in nearly 50 hours of work inputting items, descriptions, costs, weights of products and pictures. As it turns out, they didn't even have the shipping modules ready. Needless to say, we missed the peak season. On November 5, they started working on another shipping module (flat rate UPS). Yesterday, we get an email stating it's ready. Today I check it and guess what, it doesn't work. In addition, by inputting the flat rate module, all the hundreds of prices I input are now incorrect and I can find a formula as to what is wrong.

I have already paid 00 with 00 due at time of launch. In addition, they have charged me about 0 for "add ons" that I didn't think should be "add-ons" but for the cost, I was willing to turn my head and just push to get it done.

I have called the owner of the company (no return call as of today) to complain. I don't ever use lawsuits as a source of revenue but they have charged me over 00 for an inferior product (they use OS Commerce which I've learned is not a top notch product) and I will still owe them $$ when they launch. I estimate that I've spent 0 in marketing materials which I distributed to previous customers last week in hopes of salvaging some Christmas business since I was told it would be ready a week ago. Now, previous customers are going to get the ol' "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" sign.............they won't be back. I've estimated my losses in lost sales at 20-30k.

Do I have a lawsuit? What would you do?

    • ANSWER:
I think you do have a lawsuit...You basically have to prove that you did have a contract that they didn't fill and also the warranty thing...they gave you less than they promised. Whenever dealing with contractors of any kind, including web developers, always make sure you get stuff in writing. I hope you did.

    • ANSWER:
The answer depends largely on the contract you signed with them. If you have it in writing and there is nothing in there that indemnifies them from these types of charges (meaing: if they are as incompetent at contracts as you say they are about finishing the job), then yes.....you have a pretty good case.

I have written many a proposal and contract for software projects....and the key is to be VERY clear about what you are getting. That helps both sides in the deal.

When you have someone else do this stuff....it's best to have everything documented right down to the Use Case level.....detailing what every button does and every deliverable. This of course means YOU need to figure that out too.

This is especially true on a project in your price range, because they just can't afford to have people on your job for more than a couple days worth of hours, tops. The best service you are going to get in this case is from the guy who wants the sale....up front. So define and document it THEN.

  36. QUESTION:
29 and got pcos diet advice please?
I am trying to lose weight, now i know the link between pcos which i was diagnosed with 2 years ago, and insulin resistance, there are days and weeks where my weight seems to go up or down a few pounds, i have also over wuite a bit of time lost a stone with the help of being on metformin i think, i was just going between probably not eating as much to eating less carbs, but not strictly.
I have not lost anymore though and need to.
After recent talk about the gilr who lost 3 stone in 3months and died, they were talking about it on tv on the bbc, and had afew different health workers on, one person said that this lady was eating too few calories. they said that a obese women is probably consuming more than 2000 calories so even if to start with she cuts down to 2000 she will still lose weight, and then assuming you cna cut down a bit more.
So they said you basically eating healthy and less is key to weight loss and also to do exercise.
Others have said if you have pcos you should be doing atkins, sorry for a day its fun afetr that no thanks, and as easy as its supposed to be, and great there are all those phases you have to do, and once you do it for a while if you don't maintain it then you might as well not bother.
Plus i know that a basic diet sheet from a gp won't help many, they emphasise on having healthy starches at each meal, if you did atkins you'd not be able to, plus if youe trying to cut out carbs or eatlow, you'd have to watch every little thing, apart from being able to cut out the obvious ones that are almost if not totally carbs.
I have thought about just cutting it down ,but my down fall is sweets stuff.
I've noticed that on packets of food, they highlight the calories, sugar.fat, and salt so these must be the most important things to watch and cut back on, and not starch. I find it hard though to eat less fat and sugar and reduce caloried i would rather do one or the other. My dietician told me to not eat anything with more than 8 grams fat or 10grams, which i've now read a low sugar product is considered 5grams or less per 100grams, she said that doing this would cut calories anyway.
I feel that when i eat like something starchy at each meal and like when i have cereal with milk, orjust if you eat quite bulky food my stomach is bloated the top part below my chest, but i assume this may be eating too much at once or too quickly, or maybe certain things that i eat.
I notive when i eat less wheat my stomach is better, but then i know as this is probably not a aleergy i have it will not give me many results or help much with weightloss.
So if you have any tips or advice i would be very greatful to hear it. Thanks

  37. QUESTION:
    Hydroxycut Hardcore X?
I just started on a weight loss/tone up plan today and had decided to go for a few supplements - most of which I believe are rather harmless.. here are the supplements I use,

    Whey Protein Isolate Chocolate
    GNC Megateen Multivitamin
    Hydroxycut Hardcore X (HHX)

I take whey to help me in recovery as well as building/toning up my muscles and the multivitamin for obvious reasons. My question here is, I've read many reviews about HHX saying that it makes people sweat buckets, feel warm/hot and experience increased heart rate/ other side effects. However, after taking 1pill in the morning and 2pills in the afternoon about 1hour prior to my workout, I felt almost nothing. No heat/sweating/heartrate increased/ side effects. Now i'm wondering, am I not even responding to the EXTREMELY HIGH DRUG CONTENT?

This is half worrying and half freaky. Because I've heard many many reviews about good/bad effects of this product and I am not feeling anything despite the sudden introduction to my system.

By the way, I'm a girl at 20yo @ 151cm and 56kg. I want to try to lose 10kg by this xmas, but of course that is only a goal and except for the HHX, I am doing everything healthily. Eating 4-5 small meals a day, no high carbs/fast food/ sugared drinks/ etc etc etc.

If anyone could kindly shed some light or give some advise?

Today, I did some light gym work.
A warm up of 10mins on the treadmill at approx 80% max heartrate (gradually increasing the speed of course)
General weights - full body excluding the core/torso area (Just to kickstart the muscle work/building a lil' bit)
A 'cool down' of 10mins on the cross trainer (Pushing for about 4-5mins then resting/ going backwards for 1min, then going forward again)

This is just my startup workout as I have been out of action for almost 8 months. Previously I was a competitive badminton player with HIT 3-4times a week and played for college in nationals. Our training is rather intense as we never fail to make it to the top 6 in nationals every year.

Any advise would be kindly appreciated! Thanks in advance! :)

    • ANSWER:
Don't take Hydroxycut it's a waste of money and there are better ways to do burn the weight. Anything that promises to make you "heat up" and "increase" your heart rate can be very dangerous and should not be taken lightly "heating up" could easily overheat your body and dehydrate you. Most of the weight you will be losing (if this were to actually work) would be water weight and it would just come back. You should focus on a cardio workout, that's safe. You should also focus on not losing more then 1-2 pounds of fat per week, anything more than that is unhealthy and it means that your doing something wrong.

  38. QUESTION:
Is it corn allergy or corn intolerance, or could there be something else going on such as a gluten issue?
First, sorry if you have seen my previous posts regarding pretty much the same questions, but I'm not getting much help. One response (a very good one) but the others were someone trying to advertise some cleansing product or something.

Trying to decide if my son may have an allergy to corn or a corn intolerance. Obviously there is something going on and needs to be determine. Insurance has been a real pain in my rear and from what I am getting they won't pay for him to be tested unless we would wind up in the ER with him showing he has a problem...then from previous experience to the ER they don't pay much unless it is deemed an accident...Okay off my soapbox with insurance. I just need to try and figure out what it could be and just simply eliminate it.

Here is what we have noticed in symptoms. About a year and a half ago he was doing an activity with a friend of mine and she called asking if he had a corn starch allergy because the activity included corn starch and everywhere the starch was on his arms and wrists he had hives. She gave him some benadryl and I thought it was probably some fluke thing, but decided a couple weeks later to see what happens and tried it myself with a small spot and sure enough he welted exactly where I put the corn starch (mixed with a little water). Then he started telling me that he noticed after eating corn he usually has diarhea and or a headache, so he's been avoiding eating corn, then a couple weeks ago we had a large fish fry with lots of guests and also served corn on the cob, he apparently forgot he shouldn't eat corn, or chose to do it anyway and because of all the guests I didn't see him get it, and he threw up later...I didn't realize it at the time, mainly because I didn't know then that he had eaten the corn on the cob but now I think that is why he got sick and not even realizing it until last night and discussed this with my husband he uses corn meal and flour to coat the fish. So the poor kid must have been on a corn overload!

The other thing that has occurred to me was when he was little (like 2-3) he went through a spell of where he would just throw, I remember noticing that most of the time it was after he would eat mac and cheese, but not always it could have been other things, can't remember those, but mac &cheese stands out probably from the clean up. We did take him to the Dr. then, who had an upper GI test done and everything came back alright, and not long after that he quite throwing up, so we thought the problem must have taken care of itself, maybe he was eating too much, or he had a little stomach virus that he could get rid of...it just got better. Or so we thought, maybe he just developed a tolerance.

I guess what I am trying to figure out is what should I do next? I really don't have anything concrete it's just a mother's instinct and where do I begin? Corn starch and corn byproducts are in just about everything...and is it a corn allergy or an intollerance or is it a gluten thing?

I just need advice on what to do next. He did just have blood drawn for a check up, including diabetes because he has a skin pigment change at the back of his neck that is indicitive of those with or will develop diabetes... prelimary results are no diabetes at this time, but one test (can't remember what it's called) shows he is at the very top of the normal range and this test is something they use that helps Dr.'s to say he's on the border of developing diabetes. We know he needs to lose weight and are beginning to work on that...but if there is also a concern of the corn issues and or a gluten problem I want to make sure to take that into consideration when making changes in his diet. One good thing is he is going out for football this fall and begins practice on Monday, last year it helped a lot with weight loss, but once the season was over he was back to his old habits of snacking (he sneaks food) and I don't exactly have a lot of support from family to help me with controlling his eating, grandparents who live within walking distance that allow him to eat lots of junk and he's there a lot. So many factors when it comes to trying to control his eating. I did tell my husband about the preliminary test results and he was going to talk to his parents about needing their support to stand strong and not let him have things. But my husband gets upset when I try to tell our son he needs to limit his portions, he seems to think that my idea of portion size is wrong...he let's him pile his dinner on his plate then have seconds and when I try to say something my husband gets upset with me. So pretty much I'm the bad guy to our son, but I am only trying to do what is right and hopefully keep him from living a hard life of diabetes and possibly a short life if he doesn't change his eating habits now or he'll never have control.

Any help or insight on what else could be going on besides the high risk of diabetes and what I can do wo

Dioxin spot in Michigan worst ever? Have you even heard about it?
The EPA found the largest amount of dioxin ever seen in one spot (EVER) in the Saginaw River in Michigan. Dioxin is "a man-made chemical by-product formed during the manufacturing of other chemicals and during incineration. Studies show that dioxin is the most potent animal carcinogen ever tested, as well as the cause of severe weight loss, liver problems, kidney problems, birth defects, and death." (http://www.healthychildrenproject.org/glossary/index.html) So why is this not a big friggin' deal? I've been waiting to see more on this story but so far it's just local news.

  41. QUESTION:
My daughter takes my stuff without asking?
I love her but my Lord it is driving me nuts. I cant stay on top of it. Jewelry missing. Make up brushes. Make up. Hair clips. Clothing. Shoes. Socks. Hair products. Hair brushes. Gloves. Coats. Scarves. OMG...even my underwear! Anything that has to do with her appearance. I have tried to fully stock her with her own items but they end up scattered all over her room. Tops to products lost and dried out. Clothing tossed around her room or ripped from taking off clothing without care. Items spilled over. Cute things I buy her dropped around the house. I pick them up and here we go again. She is almost a legal adult and instead of getting better she is getting worse. It is so unnerving to go to put on my make up and find my brush that I put my eye shadow on with...Gone. Or my mascara...gone. My antiperspirant....gone. That pair of earrings that go with that one shirt...gone. It goes on and on almost every single day. Then with some balking from me that this item is gone it will suddenly reappear. I never know what I will go without for the day. She doesnt take care of anything, losses hers so tucks in to use mine then doesnt take care of mine either. She gained weight, ripped all of her pants and then stole mine...ripped those too because they werent her size and then threw them away. I am sooooooooo frustrated that she doesnt care enough about me to know this really throws me off. I cared enough about her to make sure she was fully stocked but she doesnt care enough for herself either to take care of what she has. It has gotten to the point that I dont want to get dressed up and take care of me any more because it just never goes smoothly anymore for me. Do you have kids who do this to you? Do you do this to your mom? Do you have solutions? Possibly words of wisdom to make it less hurtful and stressful?

    • ANSWER:

Will I see good results from this? I want to get more tone and lose my saggy belly.?
I work out about twice a week. Each time I work out I run a mile on the treadmill and do some weight lifting, stretches, and this machine that works your abs.
My diet has include mostly fresh fruits and veggies. I have been staying away from the top of the food pyramid although I may eat one thing from that category once in a while. I haven't been eating a lot of poultry but I substitute the loss of protein in tofu, spinach, peanuts, and soy milk. I do get enough diary products in my diet. Actually I would say I pretty much follow the food pyramid guidelines.

Problems with Mirena IUD puncturing uterus?
I had my mirena IUD installed back in January of 08, and I went to the emergency room in early October with what the doctors thought could be appendicitis. After performing a catskan they discovered that the mirena was too high and had penetrated my uterus and possibly punctured it. They removed it without surgery, but I am still in a ridiculous amount of pain, and on top of that I just started bleeding an enormous amount in bright red, and as gross as it sounds but I've had diarrhea since they removed it. During the time I had it in I suffered from extreme bouts of fatigue, mood changes, loss of libido, depression, weight gain, periods that were extremely irregular, among many other problems. I am curious if any one else out there has had these complications or problems as well. I could have died if I had waited off on going to the hospital, it could have gone thru my uterus wall completely and been lost in my abdominal cavity and could have come in contact with other vital organs, how can something like this still be on the market I wonder? I have two little girls, and something like this would have left them without their mother, maybe the company that is profiting from this should research their product a little more..especially since there is a chance that I might not be able to have any more children and my husband and I were planning to try for a boy in a couple years. Lawsuit? Only if there is proof of irreversalbe damage, and of course I can't get any straight answers from the doctors because they were the ones that so strongly suggested this device to me in the first place and no one wants to be held accountable.

dry, frizzy, oily, nappy headed, kinky, long hair...i need help with this mop of a head?
im lookin for something good for my hair.
i used to have long silky curly hair that i dyed blond growing up.

but its been 8 years since i died it.
last year i started becoming more stressed at work and my hair started falling out.
i think gaining weight back and forth along with an unhealthy diet also did its work as well.
i was scared to wash it in the shower because of the rapid loss.
all around except for the crown became thinner.
you really cant tell and it doesnt look noticable thankfully.
but my hair is just out of whack.
its all the way to my lower back, i had it cut about 8 inches about 3 months ago and it just filled back into place.
but i have patches of hair that are growing back so now my hair went from big luscious curls to flat kinky frizzy hair.
i have more hair on top then i do on the bottom and when i grab my hair in a pony tail i only grab a dime size of thickness when it used to be roundly thick as a 50 cent coin.
even when i straighten my hair which i rarely do, i just end up getting hot and it frizzes out and looks horrible.
when i get out of the shower its still dry.
infusium 23 leave in moisturizer has been a good product so far but the shampoo makes my head itch with dryscalp.
but the product only does so much as to put a shine to it.
i tried garnier shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner. still nothing but dry frizz.
then to make my hairstay in place i tried gels such as LA and suave.
my hair is not like it used to be, it makes me feel ugly half the time because i feel like hair brings out the features in you face and when you got a nappy head then thats all they see.

whats the best product to put in my hair to make it shine, moisturized and managable without knots, or dryness and doesnt break.
i have latin and german hair.
    its very fine hair.
my hair doesnt look right short because of the roundness of my face.
anyone got any good product that are founf in just about any store?
