you need protein, fiber, and enough calories to support your exercise otherwise you are just going to end up malnourishing yourself which will make you end up gaining weight when you start eating normally again. theres a diet i know that works if you can stick to it but ill be honest with you, it's tough. my biggest issue is that i can't go without tasty food but idk, you might be tougher than me and it might work for you. so here's what you do:breakfast:
-i glass soy milk (good sourse of protein, calcium, and other essential nutrients)
-i bowl sugarless oatmeal (it is totally bland and the texture is not great but if you can just choke it down, it'll fill you up for a while and it has fiber, protein, and the good kind of carbs that our bodies needlunch:

I know the foods above can be bland but think about it this way: when it's done, it's done for good! and all you will have to do after you reach your goal is maintain it (which isn't that hard if you get there the right way)

are you really christian jessen? i wouldve expected you to know more about diet than most people on here half of them havent got a clue.anyway my tip would be to visualise my goal and where i could be, considering my diet is different from most peoples and im aiming to take in as much protein as i can i am less restricted to foods and am still allowed to eat a fair amount aslong as theres a good amount of protein there.
downing afew protein shakes and eaitng lean meat is quite enjoyable so its not as if i have to constantly battle with myself to make my diet a success but when i ahve had strict goals and different dieting habits i have used the strategy of setting goals that are measurable so i can see how far i have come to meeting a goal which is motivating in itself.
