      Stop eating those unhealthy things like fast food, candy, snacks. Try sticking to only 3 meals a day and if you get hungry in between then eat fruits or something as healthy. Also the juice you drink can contain lotssssssssss of sugar although it conntains fruits. So try reading the label at the back of drinks, foods etc. just to be safe. Other than that, a 15 year old wouldn't need a diet, just a healthy meal plan that they could follow.

      -sausage - from 1-2 carbs

      -no sugar added jello - 0 carbs (very good buy the way.

      it depends how much dressing you put on it and what kind you get.-ice cream - it depends on what brand you get. but i just got this ice cream from Edys and its only like 7 carbs fo r half a cup and it comes in like a million flavors.       It all depends on the horse. So many things contribute to what type of diet they should have. Breed, location, physical condition, what they do (performance horse, trail horse, nothing). Even the type of grass (or lack thereof) they are eating will help determine what you should feed.

      There are also different types of hay and lots of different types of feed.

      But, if you are talking just and everyday trail horse from the midwest this is what I would tell you.

      What do they eat?

      Good grassy hay with a balancer (a pellet food) to give him the nutrition he is not getting from the hay. Our local feed store bases their balancer on samples they take of local hay. The amount fed is determined by the weight of the horse. Some need a lot to keep their weight, some only need a little. It depends on each individual horse.

      Your average horse should go through about 6-8 flakes of hay a day, more if he does not have any access to grass.

      How often should they be fed?

      They should be fed as many times as possible. If you are feeding say 6 cups of food (balancer) a day it is better for you to feed him one cup six times a day as opposed to 6 cups at once. Most places feed twice a day as it is hard to feed them 6 times a day.

      How much do they drink/temperature?

      Horses should have access to water 24/7 and temperature is not super important except for in the winter. You do not need to keep it cold in the summer but it does need to be above freezing in the winter as they don't like to drink really cold water.

      What treat do they like?

      Apples and carrots are the most popular but they will eat all kinds of stuff.

      A 17 year old should not be on a diet. If you want to you can take smaller portions of your meals. I don't have a lot of time to exercise either so i do some sit-ups right before I go to bed. Don't obsess about it. But just be conscious of how much food your eating and don't stuff yourself.

      Listen, I played water polo in high school. We went to the gym every morning for an hour and a half, which had running and weights, and then after class, we swam for another 3 and a half hours.

Think of your stomach as actors getting ready behind a closed curtain - one day the curtain will open and the actors will look beautiful. So your stomach muscles can be crunched as much as you want, but there will be a curtain of fat over them until you exercise it off.

      Do cardio, and get creative with what you do, if you're constantly changing then you wont get tired and your body will keep losing fat.
      try all different things - aerobics, fitness video, running, swimming, weights, walking, rock climbing - anything. This will burn the fat.

      Then do some stomach exercises once a day or every second day, so that your muscles will be ready once the fat goes away.
      These are all good for stomach (google them)
      burpees, crunches, Pilate's 100's, crunch twists, fitball sit ups.

      Perseverance is the key. :)

      The best diet is not even a diet. What you need to do is eat 3 balanced meals a day and 3 snacks. Remember portion control a portion is the size of the palm of your hand and as thick! When making a meal remember to have a fruit a vegi and protine!!! Carbs are also something that you will need but never over do any of the food groups. Always include a wide variety fo foods. Avoide things like soda and imitation fruit juices, chips and candy for they are empty calories that will fill yhou up but keep you from getting hungry.

I lost 50 pounds in 4 months, I rode 40 miles a day and did minimal weight lifting. yogret for bfast, salad, lots of vegies and no dressing for lunch and tuna or chicken for dinner, along with more fresh veggies.

      I hate soup.
      Just eat your fruits and vegetables, drink water, take your vitamins, and eat regular/healthy portions everyday. Also, make sure that you work out for 1-2 hours daily. You should notice a big difference and lose the weight in that amount of time.

      Unless you are really massively overweight and this is your first experiment with eating a normal amount of calories, losing 27 pounds in 6 weeks is not healthy, and honestly probably not possible. If you are just a bit chubby and wanting to slim back down into a size eight (or whatever), a healthy rate of weight loss that you can probably maintain is 2 pounds per week, so, like, 12-14 pounds max in the time period you are talking about.

      Honestly, your best bet is not to set this arbitrary target, but to say "I will lose 1 pound a week until I am pleased with how I feel and the way my body looks". Because a massive crash diet is really hard to keep up... it'll trigger your body's "starvation" urges and make you want to binge-eat. Start off by taking a hard look at what you eat, and recording your actual portion sizes... huge portions of everything are a major problem in controlling your weight. Introduce physical activity that you like into your life. Don't make any changes you can't live with, because maintaining a healthy weight is a lifelong process.
