I will say this: Most "weigh loss pills" are just heavily concentrated doses of caffeine. Taking one is like drinking 3 cups of coffee right in a row. I really don't think that is what you are looking for.You want to either re-start your metabolism (which is the body's way of burning fat) but you are only 14 so I don't think it would have stopped or slowed that much. Maybe it's just on hiatus. There are 2 things to help do this:
1) Eat healthy. Get rid of candy/junk food/soda/bread. Water should be mostly what you drink. Add in some fruit juices every so often, but don't go nuts with fruit juices because they contain a lot of sugar. In terms of bread, bread is just a lot of carbs/calories. So cut down on it, IE: Instead of a sub, get a wrap. They also make these things now called "Sandwich flats, or sandwich rounds" that are perfect. And NO WHITE BREAD, make sure you go wheat or whole grain. The meals you eat should also be small, maybe like five small meals a day to keep your metabolism going. Though I know that is tough at school
2) Work out. Don't sit around playing X-Box like I did. Get up and do something, jog, play some sports (like find out if your school has a Volleyball team, Vball is really fun and if you are 6ft, you will have an advantage.)
But here is the trick about the working out. The weigh loss pills are supposed to give you energy so you actually do work out. But the energy they give you is so much, so sudden and so unhealthy, that it sometimes has the adverse effect. Instead of weight loss pill, you should consider something like a fitness smoothie. These are low-carb (which means they won't add a lot of weight) and high protein, which means you'll get energy. The ones I use really work and they give me lots of energy and they taste great. They almost all contain stimulants that can damage the cardiovascular system, and then there's Alli, which can give you explosive diarrhea, so I don't think you want that pill either.Diet and exercise should work perfectly fine. I think you're probably either not giving it enough time (you should give it at least a month before you decide you're not seeing results), or you aren't dieting or exercising right.
As for your diet, you should be eating high protein, high fat (saturated not trans, and no that's not unhealthy), low carb, low sugar. Keep your calorie intake around 1500 a day, carbs around 100-150 g a day, and as little added sugar as you can manage. Make sure to eat lots of fruits and veggies too.
And you need to push yourself when you exercise. A nice easy pace won't do anything. You have to get sweaty, tired, and work hard. If you don't feel tired when you're done, if you're not out of breath, you're not doing it right. And you need to do both cardio and weight training, but on different days. Try and work out for at least an hour, 4-6 days a week.

Such low calorie intake will probably make you feel sluggish and you won't be up to exercising. 1500 calories a day should be fine, and if you'll be exercising with Pilate's and running, then 1500 is a good number.Just make sure to pack in the vegetables and fruit, drink lots of water, and eat breakfast. Also, stick to chicken and fish instead of red meat and limit your dairy intake, as dairy is high in fat.

If you really dont want to do it by yourself, join weight watchers (they are very cheap and they give lots of help) or join curves its a womens gym the cater to our needs (they are also very cheap for a membership and the assistants are really nice)
If you start losing weight like more then 3 pounds a week, its not that its not healthy its just it could hurt your system, so if you come to one week where you've lost 7 or 8 pounds its no big deal.

Make sure you measure out portions sizes with a small scale or measuring cups and spoons - most people overestimate by 30% or more, so don't guess. Aim to eat no fewer than 1200 and no more than 1500 calories each day.
Also make sure you're getting the correct balance of foods - most people over do the grains (you only need 6 servings a day, and when an average bagel contains 3-4 servings these days it's really easy to see how people over do it. Pasta is another one that fools so many - a 'serving' of pasta is just 1/2 cup. Most people sit down to 1.5-2 cups at dinner). Most people also under do it when it comes to veggies - we're supposed to be getting about 2.5 cups of veggies and 1.5 cups of fruit a day, which is a lot more than the average person does.
Also watch your juice intake (1/3 cup of apple juice is a serving size equivalent to a whole apple, but most people drink a huge glass because it's a 'healthy' food), and if you're eating any meal replacement, or quasi-healthy bars make sure you read the calorie content carefully. You're much better to have a salad with chicken on it than these bars.
Plan ahead and have small snacks between meals (counting the calories of course), to keep hunger at bay.
If you dine out, look up the nutritional information for the restaurant ahead of time to pick something healthier to eat. You'll also find that most restaurants are serving enough for a full 2-3 people on every plate these days which is part of the reason as a society we've forgotten what a proper serving looks like.
Keeping your calories low does work pretty fast. I managed to lose just 16lbs over several months before starting with a dietitian. What I described to you above is what she's been teaching me to do - and I've now lost just a little over 2lbs a week for just over 4 months now.
Diet pills don't fix the problem - even if they cause you to lose a little bit of weight, even if they were safe, they'd still don't teach you really how to eat properly and in the correct portion sizes. At best, they buy you some time, but time and not knowing how to eat properly will catch up with you and the weight will come right back on when you stop taking the pills.
