There is so much misinformation about weight loss drugs that it's time to set the record straight. There are weight loss supplements and herbal medications on the market that have not been approved for safety and effectiveness. On the other hand, there is Phentermine, an U.S. FDA approved appetite suppressing drug that works on the hypothalamus part of your brain to send hunger cessation messages.
Phentermine is now available in approved generic form at low prices. In addition, when you buy online Phentermine Fastin, you are assured of having your privacy and private information secured and your confidentiality maintained throughout the process. Your medication will be shipped to you discreetly, according to your express directives, and no one will ever know that you are taking this medication unless you disclose that information yourself.
8 reasons to take Phentermine are as follows:
- Phentermine, unlike many diet pills, has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as an oral appetite suppressant for the control and reduction of a person's weight.
- You can buy Phentermine at the foremost online pharmacy, www.pro-medics.com, at low prices.
- Phentermine works directly on your brain, specifically, the part known as the hypothalamus, which sends out a chemical response that reduces your hunger.
- Phentermine in its generic form costs less than its brand name counterpart because of the money saved on development and marketing.
- There is no prior prescription necessary when you buy Phentermine online.
- Phentermine effectively suppresses your appetite, and can collaborate with a healthy diet, exercise and counselling to serve as an excellent weight loss program.
- Phentermine will improve your self-esteem and augment your confidence.
- Phentermine will help to make you more attractive in the eyes of others.
Test results show that Phentermine is safe and well tolerated by adults. Because Phentermine works in your sympathomimetic pathways, the drug may increase your blood pressure and heart rate, but the results differ in each individual.
When you buy Phentermine, you should be aware that it is best taken on an empty stomach about a half hour before you eat your breakfast. For maximum effect, you should take Phentermine in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise program. If you miss a dosage of this medication, do not double up on the dosage. Skip the missed dose and resume your normal medication regimen.

QUESTION:
'Rabbit knowledgeable' people please.... Is there a good safe weight loss diet for rabbits? ?
I saved a rabbit from a pet shop. She was free, was gonna be sold as snake food.
I'm a sucker...felt sorry for her and brought her home.So anyway, now I have an obese rabbit with a dewlap that is so enormous that she can not lick herself. Her bum hair is matted from not being able to groom. The dewlap is about the size of a tennis ball (maybe even bigger).
Whats a good safe weight loss diet for a rabbit?
Pesky Fly:
Thank you. If I had to guess, she probably weighs 15 or MORE pounds.
I guess she's a mix/mutt bunny.
She is the size of a new zealand and white w/ pink eyes. BUT she has the lop ears.
Thnx 4 ur answer-
ANSWER:
Dint listen to the first answer she is not a knowledgeable rabbit person. She bought her 0 Mini Lop at a week old. That tells me something. First buy quality rabbit food, show formula, ETC.
Then limit her intake, give her some in the morning and some at night. If she is naturally under 5 pounds feed around 1/4 to 1/3 a cup once a day. If over up to ten pounds feed 1/2 to 1 cup a day. Anything above that is ok to feed up to 2 cups. Dint put her on any diet but limit her intake, feed lots of fresh veggies. Constant supply of water. That should slim her down slowly as not to put her in to shock. LOTS of exercise out side through small hills (if possible).15 pounds I would start at a cup and a half and see if she looses any weight and if you see no change go down a little. Feed her a good amount of veggies 1-4 a week (One carrot or 1/2-1/3 a bushel of parsley each time) she will love them, and they are good for her. But start in small amounts and work your way up to the standard as not to shock her. If she gets diarrhea stop veggies and then when she gets back to normal start over with small amounts.

ANSWER:
There is this drink called Taislim. It is a natural way to loose weight. The side affects are weight loss, loss of appetite, increased energy, the feel younger feeling... LOL!! I am dead serious! A bunch of my friends are on it now and it has helped everyone!!! It is a juice made out of a berry that makes your body release the hormone that tells you that you are full. You drink it 10 minutes before eating and eat whatever you want!!!
I love it!!! It also has natural caffeine in it so you don't feel draggy like you would on other diets and it has never given me any kind of caffeine withdrawals. A PLUS FOR ME!!!
This drink also causes blood rejuvenation so it also helps people with diabetes and fibromyalgia. The man that told us about it was a preacher with diabetes and he ended up cutting back on his insulin by over half! My dad and my sister have diabetes so we are all taking it and LOVE it!!! He also lost 40 pounds in about 4 months! I know it sounds too good to be true, but it works! You can email me for more details. Just click my box.

QUESTION:
Good and safe weight loss pills with exercise and diet?
I currently weigh around 220lbs. Before september 1st I want to lose about 50lbs to become 170lbs. I plan to workout 5-7 times a week burning 1000 calories each time while eating 1200-1500 calories a day. Do you think I will reach my goal in time and do you know of any safe pills that i can get from walmart, zellers, or shoppers that will help me reach my goal?-
ANSWER:
Serious diet pills are intended for people who are overweight to the point of being considered obese. Therefore, they are known as anti-obesity drugs; and should not be used for quick, temporary weight loss.
Diet medications and supplements will not simply "melt" away all your unwanted fat and permanently solve any weight problem you might have. Most weight loss trials show that diet pills offer (at best) short term support.
You should use diet pills in combination with a simple plan for weight loss through regular exercise and an improved diet. Diet pills such as Phentermine provide appetite suppression, helping you focus energy on enjoying healthy foods rather than feeling starved of junk food.
Use caution with "herbal" and "natural" diet pills. These types of weight loss pills are not guaranteed to be more healthy or efficient just because they are made with supposedly natural ingredients. Many herbal ingredients of diet pills have been connected with many health problems such as heart failure.
Avoid diet pills advertised as "fat burning." Cardiovascular exercise is the best method for safely and directly increasing your metabolism; which will in turn naturally burn away fat!
Don't continue using diet pills for longer than 4-6 weeks without permission from your doctor. You should also talk to your doctor about when to stop.
Potential Benefits of Diet Pills
When considering short term use, the benefits of weight loss may include improving overall health and lowering the number of health risks one faces when overweight. Clinical studies have shown that some diet pills decrease blood pressure & cholesterol, fats (triglycerides) and lower help your body use blood sugar more efficiently (lowering insulin resistance) with short term use. However, no studies have yet been performed, and they are necessary in determining whether weight loss with long term use of diet pills will improve overall health

QUESTION:
What's the safest weight loss diet while breastfeeding???-
ANSWER:
Simply put, the safest (and one of the most effective) ways are a healthy combination of the following:1. Reconsider proportions. The avg American eats 2x as large of proportions as needed. It is better to eat 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day than 3 large meals. Try to avoid eating lesser than 5 hours before bed time.
2. Eliminate the nasty food. Get rid of the drive through. Get rid of the preservatives. Stop eating boxed and (most) frozen foods. Git rid of High Fructose Corn Syrup (check the label). The best way to ensure what you're eating is healthy is to buy at a store that focuses on Organic foods. Also, shop the perimeter (outside) of the stores. That means fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, dairy. Try to eliminate milk and soy milk. They don't help with calcium anyhow! This will help eliminate the nasty ingredients that you're poisoning yourself with. Add a lot of water to your diet to help flush out the nasties that you do come into contact with. You should drink "x oz" of water where x = your weight / 2. If you weight 140 lbs, you should drink 70 oz of water per day.
3. Stimulate your metabolism. Many people start gaining weight after they graduate high school. That's because their metabolism is depleted because they become less active. Start working out with cardio and aerobic exercise. determine your "target pulse" and work with it!

QUESTION:
how do I tactfully tell my husband there is no such thing as a safe diet pill or quick weight loss diet?
I think he interested in losing weight again. Someone told him about LeanSpa and it's "free trial offer". After some research, I showed him that the so called news site touting the drug was a ruse, that there hasn't been enough research on acai to determine if it's safe, and the "free trial" isn't free and can cost over .00. I can't come across as though I'm right, you're wrong, or he'll just give up the diet idea. I do try to cook healthy meals (he's only home for supper, though), but I can't stop him from digging in that jar of peanut butter (he does eat it with an apple or banana, no cookies) nor make him exercise (says he's gets enough at work, but that were true, he wouldn't be so out of shape.). I just don't want to scare him off, I want to encourage him.
A diet pill is not going to convince him to exercise.-
ANSWER:
Well the best thing you could do is start by telling him that you've done research on these quick diets and pills and that they aren't proven to be safe(which they really aren't). Then tell him that as much as you want to help him through the weight loss, you don't want any harm to come to him from using such products. This should show him that you are more concerned about him rather than been right(Men generally don't like been told their approach to something is wrong, even if it is)Also get some good info on natural weight loss, showing that it does work and is far safer in the long term than any quick diet or pill.
This will then provide him with another option to weight loss, instead of him just giving up.Hope this helps.

QUESTION:
Safe weight loss aid w/ exercise and diet plan?
I am about 5' 10" 168 lbs, male, age 19. I realize that this isn't excessively overweight by typical standards but I'm trying to take some steps towards getting into shape by shedding some body fat and building some more muscle. For the past month or two I've been exercising on an average of 2-4 times per week for about 30 minutes total each day and am trying to restrict my caloric intake to less than 1700 per day. I am seeing some results but I'd like to take it a step further if possible.
Are there any safe, all-natural if possible, supplements or drugs I can take that can assist me in either burning calories, building lean muscle, and/or reducing my appetite (I have a pretty big one at times)? I'm well aware of the negative effects that commercial weight loss pills can have, but I don't want something that will do it all more me, just an AID coupled with my diet and exercise. Are there any changes I should make in my current diet/exercise plan to increase effectiveness? Any help at all is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
My current exercise "plan" usually consists of me biking 3-5 miles up- and down-hill, followed by push ups, crunches, and pull ups. I just started with the latter exercises so it will take some time to build up some strength before I can consider it legitimate weight exercises.-
ANSWER:
Your still in the normal BMI range, which is good.
1700 calories is about the right amount for a male to loose weight; don't be afraid to exceed to 2000 (that's perfectly fine). Remember to be getting all your essential nutrients: about 40-45g of fat (try your best to avoid all saturated/trans fats) about 200g of carbohydrates (keep them all from natural sources such as brown rice, wheat bread, oatmeal, ect) 150-200g of protein mostly from natural sources (only take a protein powder if necessary and if you do, take it pre and post workout) Try to avoid all artificial flavorings. Stay away from High Fructose Corn Syrup and Hydrogenated Oils
Many people assume that cardiovascular activity is best for losing weight, however in my opinion, weight training is the best method. Now, I'm not saying that you shouldn't do cardio, but incorporate cardio after your weight training specific exercises.
Creatine is possibly the most used safe supplement for someone looking on gaining muscle mass. In short, Creatine is a substance normally found in your body due to consumption of animal meats. This substance rapidly reproduces ATP energy in your muscles, thus, causing one's body to perform better at the gym. Creatine can be purchased at your local supplement store (GNC recommended). Be sure to drink a lot of water. 10 Cups a day, I recommend.

QUESTION:
Is a low-carb diet safe for weight loss?
I'm trying to lose some weight and I know that it all comes down to calories, but it seems like I am more successful when I go on a low carb diet because I am not constantly craving food and I have more energy.I still eat healthy- I don't gorge on foods like red meats and butter. I eat mostly fish, eggs, chicken, and nuts for protein. Fruits and vegetables that are low carb like berries. And cheese for calcium. I will occasionally have grains but only if it is a whole grain. Is that a good plan or are carbs really important? What happens if you don't get enough carbs?
-
ANSWER:
"Low Carb Diet is not a sustainable diet program as it is too strict and make your life miserable as your body does not function properly. The basic picture in this diet program is to limit the amount of carbohydrates that are consumed, as carbohydrates turn into fat. So, you need to count the numbers of carb that go into your body and limit the amount according to your body type. When your body has a limited amount of Carb, it will goes to Ketosis state."Low carb diet is not safe for long run... trust me...

QUESTION:
Which is more effective and safe in weight loss, calorie restriction or low carb diet?
for caloric restriction, what is the maximum deficit per day?
for a low carb diet, how many grams or calorie-equivalent per day?-
ANSWER:
Low Carb Plans don't work. You'll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and too hard to follow for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.

QUESTION:
Weight loss? Diet pills that are safe? what about those powders you add to water to curb hunger? tips?
I need to lose weight. I'm not lazy, I walk a lot, bike and swim in the summer. it's just that I never have any real time. I'm a full time student and I work constantly and when i'm not doing that I'm working on homework or having that rare weekend of having time for friends. It's ridiclious I don't eat a lot, I don't sit around and eat junk 24/7 but it's like I eat a single M&M and I gain 5 lbs. I am sick and tired of hating myself and my body, all I want is massive weight loss. I feel huge. I'm a girl I'm nearly 5"8' and I weigh (ugh....) 145-150. I just hate myself. I want to lose like 20-40lbs, I know it's going to take a while. I've tried everything. Every time I try to eat really healthy (lots of fruits and veggies) my family gets on my case, they get nasty saying all this mean stuff about how i'm being neurotic and stupid and vain, then they drive off to McDonalds. I know there is more important things then your weight, I'm not stupid. I know, I know, but it's just for once in my life I want to be thin. I used to be a 5. All my friends are like size zeros, they are always telling me that I would be pretty if i lost like 30 lbs. Next to them I feel huge, and guys barley notice me because im FAT. Listen, don't judge me. you dont know me.I'm looking for those supplements you can add to bottled water that curb appetite. Also is there a diet pill (im old enough to buy them) that I can take that will actually work? I'm afraid that if i take this stuff, after I stop my body will go into withdrawal and gain it all back or more.
also I don't want any stupid order-it-online BS. Im talking about stuff you could find and a normal drug store.
I hate my curves!-
ANSWER:
diet pills and whatever fad ultimately hurts your body. This will make you hate yourself more since you can gain weight so fast and lose fat so slow. If you're family drives you to mcdonalds order a fresh salad without the fatty dressings. take advantage. also drink more water. heres the general formula:Find calorie tracking calculator - like this one
[ http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm ]
That's how many calories you need. Ignore the extreme fat loss limit.
Next is exercise. Use this link below
[ http://www.nutristrategy.com/activitylist.htm]
Ok, so you now got calories in check, check how many you need to lose weight. But do not go crazy on candy bars and whatnot. You should know what are good foods and which are bad.
Good = Anything natural like meats, oils, fruits, vegetables, and dairy
Bad = Anything that is manmade like cookies, cakes, anything in packaging, BUT you can still enjoy them on OCCASION.
Here's the site to track how much each food's calories are
[ http://www.thedailyplate.com ]Finally make sure to eat enough calories. Say I need 2000 calories to lose weight, and I ate 2500 calories. But I burned 500 through exercise, so 2500 - 500(burned) = 2000. So I'm fine.
It won't be loss in one day since you didn't gain the weight in one day. Stick with this and I promise you you will see results steadily.
Good Luck

QUESTION:
Safe weight loss for a 14 year old girl? Diet? HELP?
Hi. I'm fourteen years old and i weigh 150 pounds. My goal weight is 115-120. Id like to loose it asap! Maybe by June...
I need to know my health risks though. And maybe a diet that will work! Thanks for your time and please help me!
O im 5'5-
ANSWER:
First ask your mom about this...Cut out all breads, pasta, cookies, crackers, chocolate, sweets, icecream, cakes, pizza, all fast food etc...basically anything made from flour & away from sugar (processed food). They are all called simple carbs. They are carbs which leave us hungry for more & we eat more & more...that's what makes us fat. Go on a "gluten free" diet...You will lose weight & not gain if you're careful to eat correctly.
We need to have complex carbs. (fruits, veggies, salads, protein.) Have lots of fruits & veggies.
If you want a snack like crackers or something...go buy gluten free rice cakes from health food store. Snack on 1 or 2 a day. The only sweet you can have is maybe a tbsp of honey on a rice cracker.
Also you can buy gluten free flour from the health food store & make your own bread. Again have 1 or 2 slices a day.
Make sure you have ahead of time (like night before) cut up carrot sticks to munch on the following day. You can put lemon on them for more taste.
Avoid cold cut meats. No ham, sausages, mortadella, salami, pepperoni, etc...they are all processed...If you have milk in the morning have 1 cup. If you have cereal...have 1 cup & no more than that.
By doing this...you will lose lots of weight.
I'll give you an example of what to eat okay.?breakfast: 1 banana & 1 kiwi or orange
if you want 1 cup of milk
drink 2-3 glasses of waterlunch: grilled chicken or turkey breast(portion should be the size of your palm) w/ some lemon squeezed on it...mmm I like lemon
romaine lettuce salad, tomato, grn onions, grated carrot, radish & whatever other green you like in there. Dressing should be balsamic vinegar or wine vinegar w/ olive oil.
stay away from ketchup, mayo & bbq. sauceor you can have stir fried veggies w/ rice...also very good. You can eat rice but not pasta.
snack:14 walnut halves or 20 almonds (unsalted)
a fruit
lots of water
some teadinner: hamburger or fish w/ brocolli or spinach
you can have 1 or 2 rice crackers (or save them before bedtime)
lots of water
cup of chamomilebefore bed: pray to the Lord to help you lose weight. To give you self control. Keep asking until you receive. The Lord hears you & loves you.
The secret to success is to be "ORGANIZED & COMMITED". It won't work out if you don't prepare.
You should have your salad, greens & veggies washed & cut up the night before so it's ready to eat for lunch the next day.
Make sure you have bought all your ingredients/food the day before.Take a multi-vitamin every day.
It's not impossible to do...just believe you can do it.
Don't forget to exercise, drink lots & lots of water & you will see results.
Lastly, DO NOT take diet pills. They can do some serious harm to your heart. Plus they don't work & they're a waste of money.
A nice site is www.sparkteens.com
they have a calorie counter, fitness tracker, exercise videos & lots of articles to read.

QUESTION:
What's a good weight loss diet?
I want to loose about 30-50lbs QUICK, what is a good, healthy but safe diet i can do to loose the weight fast?-
ANSWER:
Maybe you'll be intersted in these methods:
The first called EODD,it' s about calorie cycling. It's broken down into “burn days” and “feed days”. During the burn days, you eat only 30-50% of your maintenance caloric intake. During the feed days, you consume up to 150% of your maintenance caloric intake. You are allowed to eat the foods that you like on these days as long as the portions are controlled.
The second one is about burning fat with breathing exercise. It based on heat, fuel and oxygen for burning process. The oxygen we breathe in metabolizes with body fat to form adenosine triphosphate (ATP), our primary source of energy.Basically, the more oxygen we take in, the more fat we burn.

QUESTION:
is gelato okay during a weight loss diet?
Is it safe to eat gelato about once a week on a weight loss diet?
There are sorbetos and 99% fat free gelatos. which is the better option?
Do gelatos contain as much sugar as regular icecream?-
ANSWER:
Whenever you are trying to lose weight, you should concentrate on these three things which all work together in providing a healthier and quicker weight loss goal for yourself. I have found this combination really successful in my weight loss plans. The first thing is exercising and how much you can put forth into it. The more you exercise, the more results you will see. The next thing is dieting and the calorie intake. If you exercise more, technically you could eat more? Always watch what you eat.Now the last step in a good weight loss plan is always a good diet pill that can help you get to the end of the road. I have found Proactol which is a natural herbal diet pill to be the best around. It's an appetite suppressant along with being a fat blocker which stops up to 28% of fat you eat. Read up about it at TheWeightLossPlace .com where I saved money on it. Proactol really works well with exercising which gives you plenty of energy to perform. Along with that your diet will be affected by Proactol due to the appetite suppressant and fat blocker. If you slip up on meals, the fat blocker kicks in. It's really great to stop food cravings.
Concentrate on those three things and the combination is deadly for the fat cells in your body. Good luck and I hope this helps.

QUESTION:
what is a safe weight loss supplement?
Is there a safe weight loss supplement that I can take to get started. I have tried watching my diet and portion control but nothing really is working. I will lose maybe 5 lbs but always seem to gain it right back.-
ANSWER:
Well, any supplements to help you lose weight is either going to be a fast loss which also makes for a fast gain when you stop taking it (eg. colon cleanses), it's something that is going to starve your body of certain nutrients that it needs, or it's not going to be a sole source of weight loss. What I mean is that exercise is going to be required for any solid, long-term weight loss... it's also a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. Some of the best ones I've seen that can help lose weight with exercise are Chromium, Tonalin CLA, and/or L-Carnitine.
In addition to that, I would recommend meeting with a nutritionist or dietitian to see if there is something else that may benefit you more.As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you "should be X pounds", but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that. Good luck and I hope I helped!

QUESTION:
What are safe weight loss products?
I'm 21 years old, about 5'7 and 158 lbs and I cannot take it anymore. I eat a vegetarian diet, I exercise about 3-4 times a week PLUS I have a physically active job. What are safe weight loss products for someone who wants to desperately lose 20-25 lbs?-
ANSWER:
The truth is weight loss products or "pills" won't get you where you need to be. If they were to help you lose weight, you would gain it back after you quit taking the pills. First of all, it doesn't sound like you are that heavy. Secondly, it sounds like you just need to tweek what you are doing--diet and exercise. This would get you where you want to be safely, effectively, and it will last. This might help: http://weightlossguide.cjb.net

Is it safe to put an overweight dog that becomes pregnant on a weight-loss diet during its pregnancy?
We have 4 house dogs that eat from the same bowl. However, this 11-month old dog is very aggressive around the food bowl and eats way more than her share. One might consider her border-line obese. She ended her estrus cycle about two weeks ago. We think she might be pregnant with her first litter. QUESTION:
What is the best diet for safe and rapid weight loss?
Considering the person is moderately obese (overweight), has no specific medical conditions, lives a fairly active lifestyle, and does not eat at fast food joints or eat a large amt. of junk food? I ask because all in our family want to diet, BMI's are 33, 35.9, and 30.
We thought of trying the fill 1/2 of your plate with steamed veggies, and 1/8 with meat, 1/8 with fruit, 1/8 with starches, and use the remaining portion that would equal the 1/8 for your liquid, and DON"T wash down your food plan. We all like veggies and baked foods, and don't really overeat any more like we did in the past. We have not had pot. chips/fries/etc. for 2 months, do drink crystal lite drinks, don't drink soda and our only 2 fast food restaurants are subway and Arbys...so: can anyone tell us what has worked for them? Oh, yes: the 19yr. old spends his day at college, walking campus, playing pool and racketball, and is a couch pot. at home about 5 hrs. per day, the dad is not very active, and mom works 2 jobs: both require physical strength and total 15 hrs. per day. (Please: no cracks about dad not being active, he has a medical reason)-
ANSWER:
The best diet is the one a person can stick to. Not every diet is right for every person. Some people do better on low-carb, some on low-fat. What each family member needs to do is to pick a plan (if they live and eat together it is just easier to follow the same plan) and then commit to it. Stock the house with healthy food and throw away all the foods not allowed. Dieting is serious and the biggest pitfall is having non-diet foods in the house. What works? Well, my Mom counted points on Weight Watchers and lost 70 pounds. I counted carbs on Atkins and lost 65 lbs. All plans work, but 1) you have to work the plan, and 2) it has to be the right plan for you.
Crystal Light and diet soda are okay. Subway is only okay if you are doing a low-fat diet. Their low-carb salads are far too expensive.
Bottom line -- if you are all living together, pick a plan that everyone will follow and then stick to it. For those who have time and energy to workout, great. If someone can't work out or doesn't have time, that's fine too. 90% of weight loss happens in the kitchen and not the gym.

QUESTION:
Safe and Effective Natural Weight Loss Supplement?
Me and my sister were now looking for a natural weight loss supplement (not diet pills) that we will be going to take that is surely safe and effective. With so many brands, it's really difficult especially for us an ordinary person who've not really know and aware about substances included in every supplement brand. What's your suggestion? We've already noted in our list the option of Slender Factor (suggested by my cousin). But we really need more options to choose and pick on. Thanks!-

Check out http://dietpillsreviews2011.com There's information about several different weight loss supplements (there's diet pills as well) but the supplements are definitely all natural. Best of luck!

QUESTION:
Weight loss diet during pregnancy - please read details?
Though it is not conventional, my obstetrician put me on diabetic diet for this pregnancy. I am insulin resistent and overweight, and my doctor wants to prevent gestational diabetes. She said it is safe for me to lose weight for the entire pregnancy.Has anyone experience with losing weight during pregnancy? How much did you lose? What did you eat? Thank you.
-
ANSWER:
I can't personally answer your question, as it does not apply to me. However, my best friend went through this with her first baby. She was overweight (has since had gastric bypass...). I know she didn't gain ANY weight during her pregnancy and lost between 5-10 pounds, which doesn't seem like a lot but she was pregnant so it was the equivalent of losing 30-35 pounds. Anyway, I know she ate VERY healthy. No soda, no sugary juices, no pizza or anything like that. She ate a lot of greens (salads) and snacked on nuts and fresh fruit. I know for her, the soda thing was really hard. Hang in there, it will probably be really hard to maintain a diet during pregnancy. Good luck

QUESTION:
Is the Lemonade Diet for Detox, Weight Loss or Just a Fad Diet? Is the Lemonade Diet Safe?
I am interested in detoxing and beginning to eat better. I have read a lot about the Lemonade Diet. Sometimes this is called the Master Cleanse, but I always have called it the Lemonade Diet.It seems safe. You start the Diet by making the Lemonade out of Lemons, Maple Syrup and Cayenne Pepper. You don't eat or drink anything else except water while doing the Lemonade Diet and supposedly you loose lots of fat and eliminate toxins that are stored up in your body.
I understand lots of people get scared of the Lemonade Diet because it is an unknown, alternative idea but I want to know if there are any factual pros or cons to doing it. Drinking the Lemonade seems to give you calories and nutrients (rich, organic lemons and high grade sugar) and so it would seem the diet is like an internal IV system.
Thanks for your help.
-
ANSWER:
The Lemonade Diet is not a FAD. A fad generally has no basis and is followed blindly. Yes it is called the Master Cleanse, or Master Cleanser, The Maple Syrup Diet, They Cayenne Pepper Diet and the Beyonce Diet - Because she purportedly has done the cleanse (amongst other celebrities). This is perhaps why some will quickly dismiss The Lemonade Diet as fad or scam.It amazes me how people, even so called experts will dismiss the benefits of this great diet, cleanse, lifestyle, fast or what ever you call it. The Lemonade Diet has very little bad commentary online. Check this site for hundreds of happy users. http://themastercleanse.org/the-lemonade-diet - There are also directions and other great information there. If ever there are problems it is almost always due to existing, extreme physical disease that no cleanse could help, or may even exasperate. This is why you should always do due diligences when trying something, especially when it comes to your health.
The Lemonade diet, shouldn't be abused by doing it too frequently, or for too long, or not taking enough nourishment from the Lemonade. When you take the amounts suggested, it seems clear that there is enough calories and nutrients in the 3 main ingredients to supply your body for each day, while resting digestion. It also makes sense that your body will eliminate toxins that are stored in your body.
Call it what you will, the Lemonade Diet does produce weight loss effectively, and having done it 8 times I can tell you that i feel great doing it and after it. You won't put all the weigh back on if you don't start eating poorly. And of course you should move towards having a balanced diet as suggested by other answers. But the Lemonade Diet can provide a nice boost in the direction towards a healthy lifestyle. As a detox, it is less known how effective the cleanse is. But know this - animal instinctively fast when they are sick.
Do your research. Google The Master Cleanse, or The Lemonade Diet. Go to websites like http://themastercleanse.org and Groups on Facebook. See how many are satisfied. Remember that many people dismiss what they don't understand. Fear controls most people and prevents them from seeing alternative solutions until much later when they conclude that they agreed all along.
Good luck with your choice to change your eating habits and use any diet, cleanse or fast wisely.

QUESTION:
Is the diet drug phentermine safe and effective? How much weight loss can be expected with the drug?-
ANSWER:
Most drugs are safe if taken within the guidelines laid down by the manufacturer. They've been approved by the fDA for safety and efficacy but weight lost drugs do have their down sides. I believe phentermine is actually for appetite supression so the drug itself isn't doing anything more than making you more able to regulate what goes into your body. So when you say how much weight you can lose it really depends on you but don't expect miracles unless you've been eating to an extreme extent. The real issue is diet and exercise. Also most weight loss drugs are suitable or tested for long term use. It helps you to get started on a healthier lifestyle but long term use is specifically unsuggested. I don't know about side effects but I'm sure there are lots of sites that can help with that.

QUESTION:
Can someone suggest safe weight loss?
I am a 17 year old girl and my doctor suggests I try and lose some weight. I would like to do this as safely as possible. (I mean actual fat loss.) Does anyone know how much I would need to exercise at a gym and for how long to lose at least three pounds, keeping in mind a healthy diet as well?-
ANSWER:
okay first as far as i am concerned...to lose weight, you need to love how you look first...beauty and the object of change comes from within and if you dont feel like you are beautiful i can say for certian you wont lose any weight. You are beautiful the way you are...
As for losing weight safely, its hard...you need to eat less and more often. small meals ever couple hours will boost you metablism. Excersing take it easy and start off slow. Take a walk everyday and the same time. After 1 week start walking 2 or 3 times a day. Walk about a mile or so... Then after another week speed walk, dont lift weights unless you want huge man muscles. If you really dont want to do it by yourself, join weight watchers (they are very cheap and they give lots of help) or join curves its a womens gym the cater to our needs (they are also very cheap for a membership and the assistants are really nice)
If you start losing weight like more then 3 pounds a week, its not that its not healthy its just it could hurt your system, so if you come to one week where you've lost 7 or 8 pounds its no big deal.
I hope this helps you, i know what its like to be told by my doctor that i should lose some weight. This is what I did. But i wasnt happy with me because of my self confidence issues. I dont know about you...if you need any support please contact me...i will give you words of wisdom from someone who has been in your place and done what your doing. Its going to be hard but I know you can do it. So far i have lost 40 lbs. and still going strong. I was 200lbs. and now i am a more healthy and happy 160lbs.
Be safe and happy and healthy...

QUESTION:
What is a healthy diet for weight loss?
I have Asthma and have had it since I was a baby. It is hard to stay thin and fit when you are unable to be as physical as others. I only eat organic and try to be as physical as I possibly can but I cannot seem to lose weight. I need to lose about 40 pounds, but I want to do it a safe healthy way. Can any suggest a healthy diet for weight loss? I need to lose this weight in under a year, any help would be wonderful.~M.M.A.~

ANSWER:
The best diet for losing weight and keeping it off is this 4-step approach to eating:1. When you're hungry, eat.
2. Eat only what you love.
3. Eat consciously.
4. When you think you even might be full, stop. Here's the explanation:
1. When your body tells you it's hungry, it's giving you a warning that your metabolism is going to slow down soon. You burn much more calories when you eat small amounts all day every 2 hours or so instead of 1 or 2 large meals. The fattest people I know eat only one big meal at the end of the day. So eat when you're hungry.
2. You should enjoy eating, it's entertainment. You'll have much more success with a diet if you actually like the foods you eat. Toss out all the diet meals, lowfat and lite crap and replace it with the good stuff.
3. Be aware of the flavor of every bite. Savor it. Eat slowly, with your eyes closed if necessary. Take reasonable bites, put down your fork or the sandwich between each bite, think about the flavors. Chew each bite at least 25 times. Don't watch TV or read or talk on the phone while you're eating; the food is the entertainment. If you think you love eating, now's your chance to prove it.
4. As soon as you even suspect you might have had enough, stop eating. Don't worry about being hungry again in half an hour -- if you are, just eat some more!Bonus tips: walk a little extra today. Then tomorrow, walk a little more than that. Then more, then more. When you feel ready, upgrade to jogging or other active stuff. Everything physical you can do is exercise.
Bonus bonus tip: when you're hungry, always drink water first. Most hunger is actually thirst.

QUESTION:
I just had baby number 2 and need help with weight loss!?
I just had my second child. He's about 3 months old now. My body is just not jumping back at all. Although I am watch what I eat, does anyone know any safe weight loss pills or diets I could try (since I'm breastfeeding) and any post-baby excersises? Any links to websites?-
ANSWER:
I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace .com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.
Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

QUESTION:
Is it safe for someone under the age of 18 to take weight loss pills?
I'm 13, and i was wondering if it is safe to take weight loss pills? or if anyone knows a really good diet that makes you loose weight quick? in like a month? And if it is safe to take the pills, which ones?-
ANSWER:
Many weight loss pills have been found to have adverse effects on your health. The only intervention that helped me was a whole plant based diet (John McDougall, Neal Barnard, Joel Fuhrman). Diet pills never helped me, however, when I started eating a whole plant based diet, I lost 80+ pounds without cutting back on the quantity of food that I ate.

QUESTION:
what would you say is the best and safest kind of diet pill or weight loss pill?
something that isn't going to take a whole year to see good results.. just wanna lose at least 30 lbs after having two kids and it is hard for me to lose weight by just eating right, not time for the gym.. so whats the best out there? is slim quick any good and ok for you?-
ANSWER:
hydroxycut. definitely. slim quick is bunk and expensive. My gf was paying 50$ every week to stay on slimquick and she got NO results after a month (and she watched everything she ate and exercised 2 hours a day). but she started taking hydroxycut and she lost 3lbs in a week. dont trip about takin weight loss pills - i know theres people against it, but you know what? some people were just not as gifted with a metabolism like theirs. Some people don't have to watch what they eat or even exercise, and if they do for 2 days, they get a six pack. well - we're not that lucky so we deserve to get a little help. dont listen any douches on here that say dont take em. Theyre seriously not that dangerous at all. just take hydroxycut - i know its safe cuz i take it too and im totally fine.

QUESTION:
Is taking thyroid pills for weight loss safe?
My Dr. has many weight loss patients whom he prescribes thyroid and phentermine. I have done this diet (no carbs-3 months long) before with dramatic results (30 lbs) that I kept off. It works fast and having the results so soon helps my self esteem... But I see concerns for taking thyroid for weight loss, though nothing specific except for the warnings. My doctor has not done a thyroid level check as he believes the thyroid blood levels don't show what your body is actually absorbing. He has many many patients, most of whom come for his weight loss and diet plan. This is his standard procedure. What concerns should I have with this diet and the prescribed drugs?
This diet isn't just the medicine. It is a very strict NO CARB diet!1st 30 days no carbs only meat & cheese's
2nd 30 days add low carb veggies to diet
3rd 30 days add low carb fruit to the dietThis diet is done along with thyroid medication and an appetite suppressant.
and EXERCISE! i joined a gym and walk 2 miles every other day!
I have done this diet along with the medications once before and lost 40lbs. After i finished the diet and went back to eating what i wanted i gained 10 lbs back. Making a total of 30 lbs I kept off.-
ANSWER:
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies to your endocrine system.Do not take hormones unless you are instricted to do so by a qualified endocrinologist. Either too much thrdroxin or too little can caude serious problems. Also, thydroxin levels are regulated by sensitive feedback loops, which can be thrown out of balance, and can affect other endocrine systems, in turn.

What is the safest, most effective diet for speedy weight loss?
I am on the Atkins right now, but have been hearing bad things about it being dangerous and such. I have about 80 lbs to lose and I want to lose as much as I possibly can by March. So any suggestions would be great!-
ANSWER:
I have never tried the Atkins diet. This is what I have found real good.
www.sparkpeople.com
It is a healthy way to lose weight.
You type in how much you want to lose and by when etc...and they plan out your meals so you can achieve your goal. They have a calorie counter and everything. Plus they give you a fitness plan according to what type of exercising you like to do. The exercises can be done at home like dumbells, resistance bands & ball. You can also choose from walking, jogging,or a home video. There's many different options. It's like having a nutritionist and it is free. You also have support from the members. A real neat site. I'm quite impressed.
Enjoy!God Bless!

QUESTION:
What are the safest diet pills to help jump start the weight loss process?
I currently weigh 215 pounds and I'm 28 years old. I just started exercise (walking 30 min. a day) this week. I know it's too soon to see results but I'm wondering if there's something I can take to jump start my metabolism. I haven't exercised in a while. I gained 50 pounds over the last 3 years. I was not always this big so I feel like my body has slowed down significantly. I want to lose weight the right way and I don't want to take pills that are bad for me. Any recommendations would be helpful.-
ANSWER:
Diet pills are never good. Cut the salt, sugar and fats and exercise and drink lots of water.
I have heard of an herbal tea that helps with metabolism. I would visit a health food store and inquire of something that is better for you to use like a tea then diet pills. diet pills are addicting. Make an appointment with a dietician and join a health club to help motivate you. Have you tried weight watchers? People fall back on diets because they cut out things like desserts. If you go on Weight Watchers plan you never cut the dessert. Everything is counted out for you in each meal for your calorie intake. That is what I heard. I've never tried it. Good luck.
