Learn The Fast Way To Lose Weight

Safe Over The Counter Weight Loss Pills

What are the supplements approved by the FDA, you might wonder. It's not that easy to answer, as non-prescription and prescription drugs are not treated the same. Whether non-prescription drugs are approved by FDA or not, depends on how strong they are. A good example is Xenical, a fat-blocker that can be prescribed and can't be sold over the counter. On the other hand, Alli, is also a fat blocker, but is only half the strength of Xenical, so it can be sold over the counter.

Here are some things to look at when researching the best weight loss pills and supplements that aren't FDA approved.

1. Talk with a doctor before buying, to find out what information they have about the drugs you want to purchase.

2. Look on the Internet for information on those supplements, for reviews that aren't biased. That might not be easy, since the huge number of companies that are on the market all compete for your attention.

3. You should know that these weight loss pills can have different effects on people. Just because one of your friends used a certain pill without any problems or side effects, it doesn't mean that the same will happen to you.

The FDA and its approval process make sure that buyers know what drugs are safe and OK to buy, since there are many studies done on them. If the FDA approval doesn't exist, you should conduct your own research online and find out opinions on those weight loss pills.

  8. QUESTION:
What is the best..and safest weight loss pill to buy over the counter?
I have a very busy life. I work almost 60 hours a week, and i'm very involved in my church and my community. I don't have time to go to a gym, so i do the best i can at home by doing my own exercises before i go to bed. For right now, i just don't want to get a membership to an expensive gym if i cannot get the full use. I'd like to start taking a diet pill or a fat burning pill to help. I see commercials all the time for them, but i have no idea what works and what doesn't. any suggestions? preferably based on experience.

    • ANSWER:
I know having a busy life can interfere with working out, but you should really try to get some exercise or activity during the week. You will feel better and lose weight faster. As for diet pills, I recently starting taking a newer diet pill that I heard about in one of my magazines called, "The Fill Pill". Its a diet pill with some sort of fiber, appetite suppressant similar to Hoodia, and vitamins. The combination of the three is supposed to help reduce hunger and trigger fullness sooner when eating. I have been taking it for a few months now and have lost about 20 pounds. I wouldn't say that I feel full when I take them, but it seems to take an edge off the hunger. If i take it about 30 minutes before a meal, I have noticed that I am not able to eat even half of what I used to be able to eat, and felt full for a lot longer.

      Hope this helps!

-What weight loss pills work WITHOUT having any side effects?
-Which pills are safe for me at my age?
-I've seen the pill "ali" ...does it work?

This is all over the counter stuff I can just buy at a grocery store or something

    • ANSWER:
personally i don't reccommend taking pills especiallyt since your'e younger bc they are very bad for your heart and body and your hormone's are already flying all over the place right now lol... even though i don't reccommend them though, i do take them myself :| I exercise daily too and eat healthy but take them for that reason... to give my body an additional little boost lol I take hydroxycut hardcore, it's worked and has worked on ppl i know also, but for being younger i wouldn't suggest the 'harcore', just the hydroxycut. you can buy it at a GNC or SUPER SUP. it's around 30 bucks or so and will wrk fine also. may make you a bit moody though... the hardcore one's i take fuc w/my mood BIGTIME

as for ali... been told it works but it gives you bad diahrea issues as told by MANY ppl. that's why i decided not to go w/ali.

hope i helped at least a little.
      good luck :)

  11. QUESTION:
Has anyone tried the new diet pill, alli, "the only FDA approved, over-the-counter weight loss product"?
I am wondering why the FDA has approved this one, and not hundreds of others. It has to be different somehow (safer, maybe?) ... but I suppose that doesn't mean it works.

Here is the website if you're curious: http://www.myalli.com/.
I am not looking for a lecture on how I should lose weight be eating health, working out, etc. I am not even sure I am considering using this pill. The FDA approval has just peaked my interest and I am curious.
You know, I am getting so sick and tired of spammers who jump into these types of threads to advertise their products. If you are not here to discuss this question, get the F out.

If I check your answers and you have pasted this same answer in 30 other weight loss theads, you WILL be reported. Have a great day! :)

    • ANSWER:
Alli is actually the former perscription weight loss drug, Xenical (Hence why it was FDA approved, it used to be avaialbe only by perscription). This medication can have some NASTY side effects. The medication works by not allowing your body to absorb fat. Trouble is that if you injest anything that has fat, it's just going to have to come out the other end. While on this medication, expect to have what I call "greasy feases".

  12. QUESTION:
Can you recommend some good diet pills or diet supplements to speed up weight loss?
I am looking for a safe, over the counter product that I can buy at a local drugstore. Please include any successes you have had if you tried the pills and or supplements.
I do cardio workouts three times a week, as well as weight lifting.
    Please help!

    • ANSWER:
I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

  13. QUESTION:
What is the best weight loss pill?

The best you can do is exercise ( walk minimum 30 mn a day, or 6 / 7 ).. Then eat healthy and avoid : junk food, sodas, ice creams. They are useless sugars / calories .

      Have a nice day

      Cat.

  14. QUESTION:
    Fast weight loss ideas?
Ok, you have to be 18 to buy over-the-counter diet pills, right? So are there any other ways to see FAST weight loss results, other than by diet and exercise? (No lectures please, but the ideas/methods you give don't necessarily have to be "safe").

    • ANSWER:
jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
      1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
      weight, lower for overweight).
      2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
      3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it's parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

  16. QUESTION:
    Something/Anything I can order/buy for weight loss?
Ok, here's the story. I'm 27 and have had four children. Over the last four years I've put on about 80 lbs. Oh you read that right, 80 flippen pounds! Luckily for me I have a very loving husband who has always told me how beautiful I am, and how the weight was from giving him children. Unfourtanetly for me, all that did was make me freaking lazy. About a year ago, I caught a full naked view of myself and seriously about threw up. How I avoided it for so long I don't know. But seriously? It was bad. I'm not sure how my husband stood it. For the last year I have been busting my ass (literally) and have dropped 60 lbs. I work out daily. And work really hard at eating carefully. I've tried so many diet pills you can't even imagine! Alli helped me quite a bit, nothing else really did. The point? The last two months I have kicked everything up a notch and ziltch. Well 2 pounds. 2 pounds in two months!?!?!?! I'm banging my head on walls here people. I seem to have reached a plateau of some sort. I'm a curvy girl, never was a stick, so after loosing 20 additional pounds I will still be "healthy" looking, so I KNOW that I'm not at my "bodies natural weight" <---- and seriously don't say that to fat people, it pisses us off and we might imagine you're ice cream or something, then you're not safe. I digress. What I need here is someone to point me to some sort appetite suppressant. Cause I'm hungry. A lot. And pissed. I mean 60 pounds melted off, and 20 won't go the feck away. What's up with THAT? Is there anyone out there that has has this problem? Anyone who can help me out? Not prescriptions, cause I have no health insurance and can't go to the doctor. I need something over the counter, or something I can order on line. Don't answer with "meth" or "speed", I have children, and those are illegal. However if there is some sort of legal equivalent that doesn't rot your teeth, then by all means, hook a sister up.

  17. QUESTION:
I need help with my English research paper?
I need help with my English research paper! I have almost 5 full pages double spaced. It's about diet pills and persuading adults not to use them. Can anyone tell me what else I can do to make it better?

Some overweight adults think that gaining a few extra pounds here and there have become acceptable over the years. They have in mind that the extra weight will just melt away when desired by popping in a few diet pills. Because of people like this, diet pills have become a multi-billion dollar industry. The weight loss industry offers many quick fix solutions that do not always deliver what they guarantee. The big problem with diet pills is that every single one of them have risks and side effects. Risks will often outweigh the benefits that the user will get from the pills.
Many of us wonder how diet pills really work. Different kinds work different ways. Some diet pills increase the body’s metabolism, helping the body burn more fat. Some diet pills will suppress the appetite, preventing the individual from feeling hungry. Other diet pills contain diuretics, which prevent the excess retention of water in the body. Finally, another type can work by removing fat from the person’s body.
The main ingredients in diet pills were slowly exposed one at a time starting in the 1930’s. Dinitrophenol, or DNP, was first to be reported by two young physicians at Stanford University. They took notes on this element only to find that it possessed a rather extraordinary trait, the ability to speed up the human metabolism. After this information was announced, it quickly appeared creating diet pills across the country. As time went on, fatal fevers and blindness were reported. The U.S Office of Drug Control found a link between the chemical and the deaths. Soon after, the drugs were taken off of the market in 1938. DNP is not a natural occurring element, is it man made. It was originally made for scientific purposes to help with experiments and to make wood preservatives, organic chemicals and dyes. It is now considered by the U.S government to be an environmental toxin.
Since the diet pill industry could no longer use Dinitrophenol, they had to find another ingredient that could perform weight loss miracles. Amphetamines were originally synthesized in 1887, but it wasn’t until about the mid-1940’s that researchers found a medical use for them. They were originally used in over-the-counter inhalants for nasal congestion. Amphetamines were no longer used for a high, or for medication, but as an appetite suppressant. In the early 1970’s, doctors prescribed a type of amphetamine called Benzedrine for weight loss. Those who took the pills found it easy to refrain from eating and enjoyed feeling happier and more energetic. If Amphetamines are not consumed in the right proportion, they can be very dangerous.
Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) is an ingredient that is used in many over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription cough and cold medications as a decongestant. It is also the main ingredient in OTC weight loss products. It is said to be safe when taken correctly. That means that it cannot be taken in any other higher doses than recommended or combined with any other medications containing PPA.
Many of us have heard the motto, “It’s too good to be true.” That saying can often be referred to diet pills. Different bodies react in different ways. For some bodies, swallowing capsules everyday just isn’t enough. Once people realize that it isn’t for them, they have already wasted money. Sure, there are some supplements that are effective, but that does not always guarantee a healthy diet. All of the pills have side effects and many serious health risks. Most diet pills contain caffeine which not only speeds up your metabolism, but your heart rate. These heart problems can very easily cause an extremely fit and healthy adult to have a severe heart attack. All diet pills weaken your immune system so that your body cannot fight off any dangerous bacteria causing you to become frail, resulting in hair loss and less elasticity in the skin. Other risks that may occur is the possibility of anxiety and addiction.
Linda Zimdars, a 30 year old woman just had her second, and final child. She wanted to get rid of her baby fat from being pregnant, so she tried a new diet supplement called Lipospa that might help her lose 10 pounds. Linda began taking the doses once every morning until she became her desired weight. When she quit taking the pills, she instantly gained her weight back. So she bought more pills. Even after maintaining a healthy meal and exercise plan, Linda realized the only way to keep her preferred weight was to take the supplements everyday. After 3 years of this, Lipospa was discontinued. Linda tried other brands, but none of them worked for her. Her body had become immune to Lipospa because she had taken it for so many years. She is now over 300 pounds.
We live in a nation that is controlled by the media. We
