Weight loss for a young filly?
My horse will be 2 this spring. I have her on 24/7 pasture. She's a mustang and a very very very easy keeper. She has slowly gotten fatter and fatter since I moved to the new barn where she's on 24/7 pasture. I don't believe in riding horses at 2, that's stupid and impatient. She's terrible at lunging and I am going to have to work a lot on it. Exercise isn't really a weight loos option so here's what I can do.

The only small paddock I could put her in is taken put another horse, I already said I can't luge her, and she has been stalled before, for 3 months while I was training her, she would be okay with a stall. Also, I'm not feeding her grain, hay or anything else.
She hasn't been wormed in quite a while, it's my fault, but she has more of a fatty belly than a wormy belly. I've seen horses younger than her with worms, and she is more vertically fat rather than horozontally fat. I also can't see her ribs, rather than a horse with worms. I was trying to work with her on lunging but she is extremley difficult, and I have had her under saddle with out a rider. it's not as if she is loosing weight by having a saddle on her back and a girth tightened. I already said I was working on lunging, it is going to take a very very long time before she is ready to lunge because is a dominant and difficult horse.

I think either 2, 3 or 7 because i heard that Acai is quite safe to use and number 7 says natural which is good. I honestly advice against using them though because it's not real weight loss it just makes you temporarily lose weight and then you gain it back most of the time but if you are going to use one i suggest something natural or something with a good reputation because some pills can do damage to your body and even kill you (this is rare but happens with dodgy weight loss pills) so please just be careful.=)

I've been doing this, and I eat like a pig lol. Like the classic teenage girl, so I bought a whole bunch of super low calorie high fiber foods. There are slices of bread for 40 calories per slice, oatmeal- 1 cup is 120 cal, egg whites w/ cheese-10 cal per white, yogurt with cereal in it or nuggets-about 200 cal depending on yogurt and cereal, stuff like that. This way I still only eat about 1300 to 1600 calories a day, and I get SO full! Actually more full then before the diet...
if you crave a snack, drink a huge glass of herb tea, like 4 cups with a bunch of Nutrasweet-that always fills me up.
With this low calories, exercising every day isn't critical, but to keep it off and get toned it is....
In your room do crunches, pushups, ect. Dance to music! Park on the far end of the parking lot, take stairs, go shopping in the mall! 3 hrs of that burns about 300-400 calroies

Personally I don't really know what it does to my body, I feel the same anyhow. It doesn't boost my energy or help me lose weight. I think it actually delays my period because I'm late and I usually have regular period. The free trial is only .95 but after than it's almost a month. When I called to cancel, I had to wait for 30 minutes until someone picked up. The lady was a little bit rude and was trying to give me a hard time by pretending she can't hear me or repeating back my information wrong.

I work out 6 out of 7 days a week, generally 5 days of cardio (treadmill, stair master, elliptical, ect) and throw in weight/resistance/balance training. I do pillates and yoga a couple times a week as well and try new things to keep muscle confusion. I stretch, warm up, cool down, drink lots of water. However, I can't drop the last 10-15 pounds. I eat well also, having the recommended amount of fruits, fiber, protein, and veggies. Most of the weight resides in my abdominal area.Any one out there that has tried a supplement that worked? Or even one that didn't work? I'm not trying to replace my routines, could just use the extra help.

If you are looking to lose weight, creatine should not be in your list of supplements. Creatine basically forces more water into your muscles, making them larger, and in theory, stronger. Most experienced lifters will gain aprox 5-10 pounds while using a quality creatine. If your goal is weight loss, there's no reason to use any creatine. Same goes for NO products, also mainly used for weight gain or management, not weight loss.As far as the other sups you mentioned, whey protein is usually a good sup, but there are some people who experience stomach problems, so I suggest you go with a higher quality brand. Just do a littler research there. And as for the other sups, don't waste your money. These supplements are often nothing more that scams in a bottle. They tell you all these great things they can do for you, show you great before and after pics, etc, but it's pretty much a bunch of BS.
Just this year a study was released by the Univ of MN where they tested the ingredients of 10 different various weight gain products. Not one of the products had the same ingredients in them as listed on their package. Out of the 10, 8 were found to have some sort of HGH or steroid derivative, which basically makes them illegal. And if you took one of these products then had to take a urine test for football, you'd fail, get kicked of the team, and accused of juicing. Just stick with a very sound food plan and you can accomplish all you fitness goals, I promise. Best of luck in you fitness goals.

Need help for healthy weight-loss.?
I'm 25 , 5'7", 160-164 lbs, and pear shaped (smaller on top, small bust, fuller hips, butt & legs). I lost 20 lbs late last year and have maintained this new weight for about 6 months but I've got several reasons for wanting to lose more weight...I obviously want to get healthier and be fit, I'm going to the beach in late May, I'm in a wedding in June AND...my husband and I want to start trying to have a baby later this year. So, I really want to lose around 25 lbs. But, that number isn't as important to me as losing the inches. I want to tone my upper body and need to figure out how to lose mega inches in my hips, butt & thighs. I just bought a gym membership and my plan is to spend 1 hour there 3 days a week...20-40 minutes on the eliptical and/or bike and the remainder of the time using the weight machines. Will that be sufficient or should I do a different routine? Also, I know I have a relatively slow metabolism, are there any safe supplements I should look into?
Oh...I lost the 20 lbs by changing my eating habits. Cooking more from scratch, substituting ingredients with lower fat/lower calorie things when possible, cutting back on soda (just can't seem to let it go completely), lower calorie snacks, eating smaller portions, etc.-

Going to the gym is a good start. But you should watch in what order you do your workout. If you want to build muscle mass (which you do, even though youre female, i'll explain why in a minute), and lose fat, you should only do about 5-8 minutes of cardio prior to your workout, then hit the weights for however long your routine is, and then spend another half hour on cardio. You don't want to burn out on cardio before you lift.You should also try to build some muscle mass (this may make your weight stay the same, but you'll notice the difference visually). The reason for this is because the more muscle mass your body has on it, the more calories your body burns, even at rest. And you don't have to worry about looking all muscular and stuff right away, it really doesn't happen like that, bodybuilders and powerlifters have to work months and years to get their physique like that. So just beginning with light weights is a good start.
There are plenty of safe supplements out there as well for boosting your metabolism, but I wouldn't take that route unless it was your last alternative. CLA is actually really awesome, it's all natural too. You can read about it if u want, i linked it in my sources.
And remember, when youre trying to lose weight in your midsection, to avoid weighted exercises and a lot of the side bends, and twisting exercises will actually increase your waist size, because rather than toning your obliques, you will build them up. To work your obliques you should to crunches with your feet crossed and off the ground, going up to alternating sides, and also reverse crunches are great. Lift your legs into the air straight up, and then pick our butt up off the ground.
Don't forget, if you start a workout routine, you will also need to change what you put in your body. If you are feeling a lot of stress and soreness in your muscles, you're not getting enough protein. And also watch where your carbs come from. Avoid bread carbs, and try and get them from a healthier source, such as broccoli, cauliflower, or even rice.

I want to take advantage of my new lifestyle change and will be adding some exercise to my daily routine. I want to start out low intensity (as I did just have a baby and really have not worked out in years) and then build up.
What do you suggest I do to work out? Should I (or could I) take a weight loss supplement or something of the kind to get a jump start on weight loss? I know there isn't a quick fix and I am not looking for that.
I am thinking of joining the Army so any work outs that would prepare me for basic training would be nice as well. I know some people may think I am crazy to want to join the Army, you can keep your opinion on that to yourself as it is my life and not yours. I just want to lose the weight to even be able to consider it as an option and to make myself healthier.

quick fix is not good so do it the natural way way. you can join a gym and get a trainer but you can save some money and run, do push up and sit up for your abs. you should start by walking. you walk for like a minute and jog and then walk..you know till you can start jogging and make the distance longer and longer as you see fit. the push ups will build your core and upper body including your soulders and triceps...crunch(situps) on the floor, knees slighly bent and hands behind your head...lift shoulders above ground squeezing ur tummy...this will also help...running is the key to loose lots of weight and also to get tooned

I am asking my this question on behalf of my wife. She says she wants to lose weight and is thinking about taking some sort of supplements to help her. I told her I would look some up for her. The only catch is they can not be pills because she can't swallow them. That made my search a little bit more difficult. Weight Loss?
I currently weight 115 lbs, with a body fat percentage of 28%. I've been losing weight consistently for 1.5 years and kept it off, about 35 lbs. Since my weight loss has been quite slow, and I want to reduce my body fat percentage for an upcoming fitness test, I'm trying something new.I'm currently working out 5 days a week. 1 hour of weight training and 0.5 hour of cardio (interval training, running) per day. I'm also taking about 5/6 small meals per day, with protein supplements.
Will this be effective in helping me lose fat and gain muscle? This is as I've been doing this for a few days, and I have not really seen any changes thus far. Are there any changes that I need to make, or anything that I'm doing wrong?

Congrats on taking the healthy approach and losing the weight over a long period of time. Your new approach is very solid and you can expect to lose 1-2 pounds a week and about .5 % body fat a week. Keep in mind that the only way to get 100% body fat test is through an autopsy so use any calipers, or scales as a measure of progress not the defacto truth.
