There is no site specific way of losing fat... the old myth about working your abs to burn belly fat isn't true. To get rid of love handles, you need to lose overall fat. That happens with exercise and watching your diet. More on that below.The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.
Another overlooked way to burn fat is by lifting weights. Skeletal muscle has very high caloric needs... almost twice that of adipose (fat) tissue. Put on a little muscle and you will burn calories all day even at rest. Be aware that skeletal muscle weighs more, so with this approach you may see your weight increasing while your body fat is melting away. Not realizing this often stresses folks who think they should be losing weight as a measure of fitness. Forget the scale, look in the mirror and you will be happy.
For diet, keep a diary for a couple of weeks counting calories, grams of protein, and grams of fat intake. It is easy with online sources of nutritional information (type the name of the food and calories into the Google search engine) and packaging labels. That will let you quickly figure out where the fat is coming from in your diet.
Fat gives you 9 calories per gram. So take the number of grams of fat, multiply by 9, then calculate what percentage the fat calories are of your total daily calories. Restricting the calories from fat to about 20% of your total intake is ideal for a maintenance diet... that isn't overly restrictive. Of note, you need some fat in your diet. For instance, the body uses fat to produce hormones. Once you have a picture of how to modify your diet, you can drop the diary and just go back to it occasionally if you are wanting to tweek things further.
There is a subset of questions that goes further and asks about "How to get a six-pack?" The answer is the same. Six-packs are 20% abdominal exercise and 80% diet. There is one caveat... abdominal muscles will form in the position that you exercise them, so be certain to pull them tightly toward your spine while doing crunches, etc. Also, during most lifting, the "core is active" which means that you should be stabilizing with contracted abs then too. Fail to do this and the abs will form, but bulging outward and the result is not attractive.
If you are trying to build muscle as a way to lose fat, then you may need to increase total calories and specifically your protein intake. I target about 0.8 g of protein per pound of body weight each day when actively building. That is far more protein than most people need in their diets.

I have a friend who at 15 was also about your weight. She is currently 115lbs! So just know it is possible to get the weight you feel great at. I would recommend eating smaller portions and eating more often...Make sure to eat breakfast, snack before lunch, eat a lunch, snack before dinner, and eat a small dinner. I think the rule is portions no bigger than your fist...Morning excersize is best...I still have a difficult time with it but if the motivation is there you can do it!!! Start out with 2-3 days per week of 1 hour or so and try to do cardio almost daily or 3 days cardio, 2 days weight and muscle (helps burn fat quicker). Also drink ALOT of water...no more soda...if you crave any soda try flavored sparkling waters...no fried foods, you should be ok to eat anything else as long as it is in moderation...including chocolate. I hope this helps...btw- my friend was not big on pills and neither am i. best bet is to eat more often!!! snack snack snack...another secret though i shouldn't encourage...you can buy one of those clensing fleet drinks from walgreens and loose like 10lbs of water weight by cleaning out your guts...its better for older people though...i would consult a physician first about anything.

I LOVE dried cranberries and blueberries even though I don't usually like either of those fruit fresh.

Wear soft comfortable shoes as you will not have any padding on the bottom of your feet since no water will be there and a good moisturizer for your skin. i've tried a bunch of things and what always works the best for me is calorie counting and exercise. i eat around 1,200 calories a day. i plan what i'm going to eat the night before and write it down in a notebook. i also keep track of fat, fiber, and protein and try to limit my fat, get at least 25g fiber, and at least 75g protein. i also try and eat 5 fruits and veggies per day. ideally i'd be able to exercise around an hour a day, but realistically i only get in about 30 minutes, but even this 30 minutes helps a lot. also i drink a lot of water and make sure to get 7-8 hours of sleep a night. oh and i also allow myself a cheat meal once a week or once every two weeks. i either go home for dinner or allow myself a little bit of ice cream. either way i know that i can have that one treat, so it's easier for me to stick to my diet the rest of the week. good luck!answer mine please? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20101019180333AAz3Y6O&r=w

That is really impressive weight loss so very well done. However, I understand your need to lose lots of weight for your special day. For this reason I would recommend a fairly extreme diet. I say this because it allows you to lose as much weight as you want in a very short space of time and then after your wedding you could simply work on maintaining that weight ( some people even gain some back if they only care about the day specifically - whatever works for you ). You may even find you lose enough weight in a couple of weeks in which case you can just maintain it until your wedding. On the diet I will recommend you will most likely lose about 1-2 stone (6-12kg) every 2 weeks.If this sounds good to you, I would recommend something called a 'PSMF' ( protein sparing modified fast). Essentially it is a low carb diet but fats are also low so that calories are as low as possible ( therefore maximum weight loss) but nutrient are kept high so that it is healthy and stops your metabolism crashing like other extreme diets.
Eat 4 meals of good lean protein sources with vegetables eg tuna salad with low calorie Caesar dressing or chicken with green beans etc. Then you could have sugar free jelly or something. One important thing will be to reduce your exercise on such an extreme diet or your metabolism will crash much faster. 30 mins light walking per day is plenty. In addition take a multivitamin and some sodium ( add some salt to your meals) as these are missing on any low carb diet. That's the very basics.
