      What I did was calorie control diet, so I only allowed myself 1200 calories about a day it doesn't matter if you go over by 100 but just try to meet the target. Also get in the state of mind that you want to loose weight it really helps. Cut down on sugary/chocolate things, you can still have them start off with having just one thing every 2 days to cure the craving. Drink water I can't protest enough, I used to hate it but whenever I'm hungry now I have a glass of water and see if I'm still hungry. Walk everywhere or stroll it helps getting you metabolism going. You don't have to eat fruit and veg, just limit what you eat, you can still have the things you like but in smaller portions. In a day I just eat my breakfast and my dinner and so far I've lost 37 lbs. You can do anything you put your mind to, hope you do it. Oh and in answer to your question you could probably loose about 10 pounds if you really pushed it.

      I have hyperthyroidism:P I assume you are taking pills for this? If not, you should start immediately. It will kick off your metabolism. Other than that, you'll just have to eat healthy(calculate your BMR; how many calories you need each day and eat 500 calories less a day), and try and get some exercise, go swimming, cycling, aerobics, dancing, marital arts(I'd recommend it to anyone!:D).       I wasn't going to answer this but then I realized how terrible some of the responses were. Here is a real response.

      You can infact gain weight in one spot and lose it in another. Fat is going to accumulate on your stomach unless you have low body fat. To loose body fat you need cardio exercise and a good, healthy diet. To shape your legs, you need to be doing weight lifting exercises that target your legs. By adding cardio, dieting, and weight lifting you will effectively lose fat everywhere, including your stomach, and gain muscle in your legs and booty.

      You need to do squats, deadlift, lunges, resistance biking, running hill/stairs, calf raises, leg press. These are all great leg exercises but the number 1 best and easiest for you is going to be squats. So if you do any or all of the exercises i named, make sure you at least do your squats.

      Here is how you can do squats. First practice without weight. Put your hands out in front of you for balance and just bend your legs all the way while keeping your eyes on the ceiling so that your back is arched and sturdy. Your legs should be about shoulder width. Once you get the form down you don't actually have to look at the ceiling, that just helps some people with the form.

      Next, grab a heavy dumbell and hold it to your chest and do the same motion. This is called a goblet squat. Once you get good at that you may want to try barbell squats which allow you to do more weight. Put the barbell on your shoulders and stabalize it using your hands. Don't be afraid of trying more weight. It's important that you step up the weight to challenge your legs. Just make sure you either have a spotter or safety rails (usually in a squat cage) for if you fail on a set.

      Keep weight high and reps low. Do 2-3 sets of squats 3 times a week and you will effectively build leg muscles like the hulk and as long as you do additional cardio exercises, you will lose tummy fat.

Next your teeth, although it tastes very nasty, try using peroxide. just don't swallow any of it. now it will foam up in your mouth, but the longer you keep it in your mouth the whitter your teeth will be.       You first need to find your basal metabolic rate.This is the number of calories your body uses per day to perform its basic, everyday, life sustaining functions such as maintaining liver and kidney function, keeping the heart beating, breathing, etc. Thats what you need to just stay alive. For me that's about 2000. I absolutely need that or I will feel weak and tired and eventually go into starvation mode b4 dying. Then if I'm Sedentary all day, like a desk job,go home ,sleep, I'll multiply my bmr times 1.2 (2000 * 1.2) If I'm lightly active (light exercise after work 1-3 times a week), then I multiply by 1.3. My number is about 1.3. So the amount of calories I need a day just to stay the same weight is 2600.(2000* 1.3).

      There's 3500 calories in one pound of fat. There's 7 days in a week. So to lose one pound of fat in a week, you need to create a deficit of 500 calories a day in your body. So if I eat 2100 calories a day, for one week, I will lose one pound of fat.

      I've always been a 'why' guy. I need to have a scientific explanation of why something works. And when I began to have weight problems I decided to check out the Internet. OMG.       There was a guy on National Geographic who ate less than he needs, did martial arts training 3-4 hours a day and was still 400 pounds overweight. They couldn't explain it. But they did find out that his brain had an imprinted mechanism that kept his weight at a preset level; like a thermometer on a thermostat. Genetic coding causes that. Who knows, he could've had Eskimos in his ancestry line. They do need the extra fat. And that code, which was dormant in the parent, could have been activated in him.

      To me,there are people who are walking up on stairs. If they step up, they'll go up, step down, they'll go down, stand still they won't go anywhere. There are those on an up escalator. They don't even need to try and they go up. But it is a heck of a lot more difficult to go down. And there are those on the down escalator trying to go up.       Drink Alot of water! Also, Tuna (in the can) & hot dogs without the bun are very low in carbs/fat/calories. I don't blame you for wanting to lose weight any way possible if you feel like that, i've felt the same way lately :/ I have no motivation though. Best of luck to you. Oh! And exercise as much as possible. Exercising has a massive effect. And whatever you do DO NOT make yourself throw up. You will get deathly sick & could die.       i am 27... i have taken prednisone once for 6 months about 10 years ago for iga kidney..... and this is the 2nd time.... i am on it for 4 months already.... i started with 100mg every other day for 2 months and dr lower to 60 mg every other day on the 3rd month.

      i started to notice moon face on the 3rd month.... i have gained 3 to 5 lbs so far... compare to others who are taking prednisone i think i am not the worst case.... because of the bad experience 10 years ago i learned the most important thing is low sodium diet.... I gain about 30 lbs last time.... i take less than 2000 mg of sodium a day.... to make it easy.... i will not take any sodium for breakfast and lunch but eat normal food for dinner.... but MUST no fast food or junk food!!

      Last time i started to swell on the 1st month and i got too much water stays in my body so i visited a Chinese herblist and he prescribed herbel tea for me to release the stored water.... it took a month or so for me to loose about 10 lbs.... and i went back to normal weight and normal look with in 1 month after stopped the medicine....

      This time i think it will be easier for me to loose the extra weight because i didn't gain too much and the low sodium diet helps alot.... i think i may even be skinnier than before because of healthy eating habbit....

      p.s. Try to drink Chinese black tea or green tea... (black tea works better for me) few cups of tea a day helps release water.... hope you can say good bye to moon face asap....

      Just stop eating so much junk and eat less. You already said you eat a lot. Cut out all the fast food. Dont eat so much bread, rice if you eat it, anything oily, pasta, etc.... Try to have a lot of salads, but watch the salad dressing. Have vinegar or lemon or lime juice, no oil. Get in some protein though. Try to stick to chicken and turkey most the time.
