Now, I cannot stand excercising, so I rarely ever do it. So this seemingly "instant" weight loss is like a new found discovery for me. Is shedding a few extra lbs really as easy as simply walking the fat off? Can it really be an overnight thing??
    I've never had a severe weight problem all my life, so I never really had to worry about weight loss until just the last few years (I'm 34).       What i will advise though is do not stress about it and expect to lose 10lbs in 1 week!
      I suggest a steady loss of 3lbs a week is best... don't diet change your lifestyle so at least when you lose the weight and your in college you can't gain in back again! that's where most people fail because they want instant results than only come from crash dieting that DO NOT last

Just these things should lower you water weight and get you to 138.

      Since I assume you're looking to lose just fat weight it would likely be unhealthy for you to lose more than 8kg in two months. The exception being if you are obese. So a disclaimer at the start, I don’t recommend you making this goal and making the 8kg goal is hard.

      As for actually losing weight. You need to burn more calories than you consume. Since you’ve decided not to exercise your only option is to decrease your caloric intake without making your body think you’re starving yourself. If you don’t eat enough your body will burn fewer calories thus defeating the purpose of eating less. In fact many people who fast end up gaining more weight than they would have eating normally. I would recommend negative calorie foods like those listed here http://www.fatfreekitchen.com/negative-calorie-foods.html but you also stated that you don’t want to eat veggies and all of those are fruits and veggies. All that I can think remains is grazing (having five or more snack size meals each day) but that won’t get you anywhere fast.

      To lose weight at a fast rate requires both a good diet and exercise, but it is impossible to lose weight without using at least one. Until you face this fact and go through the effort to change your lifestyle the best you can hope for is leveling out.

      Cocaine is supposed to suppress the appetite, and cause weight loss mostly by lowering the intake of food, plus it causes some people to expend more energy (faster heartrate, dancing, being generally a bit hyper)

      It's not always the case. I used to take loads of cocaine and it did absolutely nothing to my appetite, in fact it sometimes made me more hungry.

      Ecstacy, however, definitely makes me not want to eat, even til the end of the next day if I take it on a night out. When I used to take it quite a lot my friends would always say I looked a bit thinner.

      Speed (amphetamines) apparently make people not want to eat, although I've not really had access to any good batches so I couldn't say.

      Don't do drugs though, they're very bad for you... cocaine is cut with all sorts of crap which damage the nasal membranes more than just cocaine alone, which leads to all sorts of chronic problems - serious chronic congestion, thickened mucuous secretions, bad tastes etc.

      Ecstacy causes all sorts of mental issues; paranoia, insomnia, messed up dreams & not being able to fall asleep properly...

      People say "don't do drugs" or "drugs are dangerous" but they rarely ever explain why or how, which is just dumb as people will often think, "Yeah yeah, whatever, of course they're bad" and just carry on doing them.

      green tea and oolongs (wu long) are all believed to assist somewhat with weight loss. Green tea is unfermented tea, oolong is partly fermented and black tea is fermented. It is important to note that they all come from the same species of camellia bush - the camellia sinensis.
      Studies are now showing that all tea but in particular green, white and oolongs, have high levels of ECGC in them which are thought to assist your body by burning sugars rather than storing them as fat. Do your own research though - and buy the higher grade teas - teabags are often the poorest quality available.

      When I deploy and when Im in garrison - I take supplements all the time. 6-OXO was recently outlawed by UCMJ because it makes you pop false-positive. I took hydroxycut hardcore during a cut phase, meanwhile had to take a drug test, and I didnt show positive. Most of the time specific drug tests have to be ordered. For instance, narcotics/marijauna/steroids. Hope this helps.

    I'm around 240 lbs and 5'11. I starting weight training about 2 months ago and just realized that I was neglecting cardio.       Outdoor running is much more effective than treadmill, you don't get the pushing off exersize with a treadmill, also the fresh air and sunshine are a big part of good health, get out and enjoy the great outdoors. An hour of fast walking is great for weight loss and muscle strengthening.

      If you are running and dieting then yes of course you will lose weight. The main thing is that you are burning more calories a day than you eat. But just because you cut out bad things does not mean you can go eat 2500 calories in good things. A calorie is a calorie and you will gain weight if your not burning off more calories than you eat. Keep in mind your body probablly burns about 1300 calories a day just resting. Therefore when you add exercise youll burn about an additional 200. It varies from person to person. Drink 8 or more glasses of water a day and move around dont sit around all day and your metabolism will increase. Water is one of the most important factors of weight loss. if you have to snack i recommend carmel rice cakes(only 50 calories for 1). Carrots with a litte bit of fat free ranch. Celery with just 1 or 2 tablespoons of peanut butter(not too much it can get very high in calories) also light and fit carries these ice cream sandwiches and they only range from 140 to 150 calories and they are amazing! Lots of fruit and veggies and youll start feeling great in know time. Hope this helped!

      A wonderful way to eat oats (and yes, they're great for you, help with digestion and are tremendous for your heart and overall health) is to buy the big round cardboard can of Quaker Oats. Just add a little bit of milk (you don't want them too runny) and microwave, then dump a container of Low Fat Yogurt of your favorite flavor in there. I know it sounds kind of gross, but if you don't let the oatmeal get too mushy, it's actually delicious and MUCH better for you than instant oatmeal which is full of sugar. The low fat yogurt is full of wonderful healthy ingredients as well, you can eat this fast and easy snack daily and see great results!

      Although outmeal is healthy, eating nothing BUT oatmeal is very unhealthy.

      Try regular oatmeal (not instant with the flavours, thats a lot of sugar!) and put a bit of honey into it or something. And eat that for BREAKFAST.

      For lunch, and dinner have different meals, preferably with some vegetables and fruit.

      Well first of all, I'm going to warn you about some myths and things NOT to do, then I'll give you some tips.

      MYTH: six small meals are better then three large ones.
      A lot of people think six small meals is better for weight loss, but really it's no better or worse then a regular three meals. As long as what you eat is healthy and you are keeping an eye on calories, you should do whatever is more convenient.

      MYTH: Carbs are bad.
      Low carb diets are bad for you. In the case of people with certain health problems, they HAVE to avoid carbs, but for a normal individual who exercies, carbs are good, as they give you energy. A low carb diet is practically a starvation diet. However, there are 'bad' carbs and good carbs. The bad ones are found in fried, high fat type foods. The good ones are found in healthy foods like granola, oatmeal, pasta, and whole wheat bread.

      MYTH: Drinking water makes you lose weight.
      Water is good for you, and you should make sure you get enough. It has many health benefits and you should always drink it after exercising a lot, but no, it's not going to make you lose weight.

      MYTH: You can never have unhealthy food or it will ruin your diet.
      Diets with no breaks or rewards are boring and too easy to give up on. Although you want to avoid unhealthy junk food, you should have a free day once per week, in which you enjoy whatever you want.

      Exercise around the neighborhood: If you don't have the money for a fitness membership, you can just jog or bike around the block of your neighborhood.
      Find out when races are: Usually, there are some every week if you know where to look, from short three mile jogs to full 26 mile marathons.

      Tip: Get a buddy to exercise with you.

      Oh and lastly, just remember, never eat below 1,500 calories per day, and don't skip breakfast. Skipping breakfast makes you gain weight. In fact, skipping any meal is bad. Also, try to avoid eating after 7pm, as late night snacks also cause weight gain. Good luck.

      1.Honey really just contains sugar and thats about it, so no, its just a fad.
      2.Green tea is considered to be helpful with diets because it is a dhiarettic (sp?), so you loose water weight basically by being more "regular".. But it doesnt burn calories or fat or anything. People get hung up thinking it does... it might for like a week because you're carrying less weight around with you but its water weight, not fat, so they end up drinking TONS of it. More than about 2 or 3 cups of green tea a day is actually bad for you. However, it is almost completely water so it helps you get your 8 glasses a day. It helps with digestion but I wouldn't say it helps so much with weight loss.
      3. Lemon.. havent heard of that one, but usually things that are acidic like that are good for you. I wouldn't call it a weight loss food though. Again, health, but not weight loss.
      4. Spicy things ARE good for you, because they contain antioxidents, and also for the same reason as green tea. Chili is a generalization, because it itself is not spicy, only the spices it contains. And chili spices are generally powdered so even less so. Things like fresh jalepaneos and banana peppers are the best (my favorite is pickled hot banana pepper rings).
      5. Eating apples is likely the closest thing on the list to a "weight loss" food. There are certain foods which contain "negative calories" meaning they actually use more energy (calories) to digest than they contain. Very few fruits contain "negative calories", i think apples is one of the only ones. Many vegetables, however, contain negative calories. Celery is one of the best, burning about 20 calories per stalk (it contains almost nothing, all water, and the strings are hard to digest). Do a google search for "negative calorie foods".. you should get a list of about 30. However, the misconception is that if you eat only these foods you will loose weight. That is not true, because you have to maintain a certain calorie intake or your body goes into starvation mode. This is usually around 1300 for girls and 1450 for guys. Its a bit lower if you are petite/skinny and more if you are bigger. If you dip below this calorie intake, your body senses itself starving. So it starts to pack away EVERYTHING you put into it, and you can only maintain that level of intake for so long, you will also eventually start eatting more and gaining weight. Girls who say "i currently eat 700 calories a day and dont loose weight, should i drop to 400" are completely wrong. Your body can't live on 700 calories, so EVERY TIME you eat something.. Every bit of fat it contains, water, etc. will be stored away by your body, since it senses hard times ahead. These girls can't keep eatting like that forever and when the finally give in and eat 2000 calories a day for 2 or 3 days... they've just gained 2 pounds of fat and lost nothing. (It may work for the first coouple days but not after that).. So yes, if you are feeling hungry, negative calories foods are good to supplement your diet and fill you up, but in the long run they will make you GAIN weight (sorry for my little rant there)

    1 cup instant coffee with a quarter cup of milk

    Dinner
    1 large vegetable and potato patty with tomato sauce
    1 slice cheddar cheese
    1 steamed baby carrot, quarter of a steamed potato, 3 steamed broccoli pieces, 1 corn cob steamed

    After dinner
    1 medium red apple
    1 cup green tea with a quarter cup of milk

    I also did 10 mins on the cross trainer this morning, a 5 min ab workout and a 5 min leg workout.

    Please help will this help with weight loss or am I eating too much? I'm vegetarian by the way. Thanks in advance

      Your diet is unbalanced. Drinking Red Bull is the worst thing you can ever have for your health and weight (Carbonated drinks cause you to bloat, causes extreme health defects, and they make you have that gas-filled stomach)! Try stopping, reduce your intake and then stop! As soon as I stopped red bull, coke…etc I probably lost a TON. My weight dropped majorly in a month! :D I know you can do that as well.

      You have to try cutting “instant” coffee - have one per day or replace it with green tea (without milk). If you want to add sugar to something replace it with a small tsp of honey.

      Add more fiber (Wholegrain bread, cup of low fat cereal or Bran Flakes, cup of oatmeal...) And soy yogurt to your breakfast.
      -I sometimes toast the wholegrain slice bread and add a tsp of honey to it with strawberries and kiwi.(Consider the calories)

      You should have a morning snack before you have lunch in order to keep your metabolism going. Have a fruit and a mini fruit/plain (low fat/fat free) yogurt or greek yogurt at work.

      Then for lunch have a small cup of homemade vegetable soup or a some salad (add as many vegetables as you desire; veggies are easy to burn). And have your share of beans/vegetarian sources of protein or fish*. Or you can have half a cup of spaghetti or rice...
      *You can have a tbsp of milled flax seed over your breakfast fibers if you don’t eat fish, in order to have your share of Omega 3.

      then for an afternoon snack (limited calorie you desire) you can have anything low fat, a mini fruit salad, carrots, one cookie,non-salted rice cakes, dried fruits, 3 cups fat-free air popped popcorn ..etc (No cakes, and calories only in between 100-150. Depending on your desired daily intake)

      For dinner, you can end your day with a salad with mustard,tbsp of honey, or any other dressing you like.
      Or grilled fish - if you eat that.
      Or you can grill your veggies and top them with any dressing instead of making a salad. (no beetroot, corn , carrots, or potato in the evening.)
      Or have tomato soup - any other home made veg. soup.

      10 mins exercise won’t do anything.. Unless you jump rope, it is more effective ; jumping rope for 10 mins probably burns more calories than cross training in 10 mins.

      Try 30-60 minute workouts, and if you’re not in the mood to work out you can just dance it off to your favourite songs.
      !!!Oh and..Drink more water!
      Try avoiding junk food (prepare your desired meal at home instead), buy fat free or reduced fat (You should consider reading the ingredients, sometimes fat free foods are a rip off), try not using butter/oil in food - if you insist on using oil replace it with olive oil (it is just as healthy as oil, however it has more benefits). Snack on a limited portion of nuts, since you’re a vegetarian you’re supposed to keep up with the protein intake. Yet , you should watch the calories - a cup of nuts can be quite high in calories.

    I just buy the Wal-Mart brand little instant packets that come with 10-12 per box and each packet is a different fruit "flavor", like banana, strawberry, peach, and blueberry. I don't add anything else to it because it already has these things in it.

      Oatmeal is actually an excellent choice for weight loss, because it is a whole grain. Whole grains, especially oatmeal, are full of fiber, and will help keep you satisfied for longer periods of time. Whole grains are also excellent for your heart, and help lower bad cholesterol levels.

      The oatmeal in packets is ok, but sometimes they contain a lot of added sugars (from the flavorings). What would be even better is to get raw steet cut, or instant oats and cook them yourseld, either on the stovetop or microwave (stovetop tastes better though). I like to make mine with skim milk and mash 1/2 a banana and cook that into it too, and top with fruit and nuts or peanut butter. It tastes delicious, and you don't even need to add any extra sugar or flavorings!

    Can you add to my new weight loss / beauty regimen?
    I started out at 257 pounds (5"7") on 04/28. I'm now 248 on 05/08. I have been walking on my treadmill 3-4 times a day for 25-30 minutes at different speeds. Sometimes between 2.3-2.9 mph, sometimes just a straight 2.6 mph.
    Sometimes I swing my 3 pound weights as I stride, other times I just carry 8 or 10 pound weights at my side as I walk on the treadmill.
    I am having a vanilla Carnation Instant Breakfast in the morning and a meat & veggie Lean Cuisine (no pasta) for lunch. Then a sensible dinner. If we have spaghetti I don't have the garlic bread, if we have tacos I don't put sour cream on it etc..
    To help keep my skin from looking like a shar-pei I have been using a Mary Kay granulated buffing cream & netted sponge every time in the shower and then I follow with a Mary Kay anti-aging firming body cream. I tried to find shea butter at Target but the ingredients start out with water and other stuff....

      In order to pull all these nutrients together to create an anti aging diet choose foods from each list at each meal. Making sure to start with your appropriate portion of protein, then 1-2 cups of fruits and/or veggies, or ½ cup of grains from the list and finally your fats. For fats use 2tsp to 1T of oil, 1/8 of an avocado, or a small hand full of nuts or seeds. It is a good idea to vary these foods as much as possible to get all the necessary benefits.

      This sample anti aging diet is just a suggestion to give you an idea of how to put it all together. You need to determine your own portions for accurate calorie requirements.

      Breakfast

      Egg white veggie omelet

    Is this a good meal plan for weight loss?
    for breakfast I have one packet of quaker instant oatmeal weight control..i switch the flavor day to day with one packet of raisins...like the tiny red box..mixed in and one packet of splenda..just tastes better...then for lunch..2 grilled chicken breast tenders with cajun seasonings with steamed green beans/broccoli. then if i get hungry in between maybe some fruit or yogurt...Is this a good plan..what about dinner..was thinking maybe a baked potato or something..ideas? and i only drink water. Is this a good way to lose weight?

      Im quite impressed that is a very good plan, however nix the potato for dinner. Keep the carbs out after 8pm and try to exercise first thing in the morning before you eat, be it a light jog, short bike ride or fast walk. This will melt off the weight, other than that your diet looks solid. Maybe also add in one bottle of low carb or no sugar green tea to help with calorie burn, water can get boring after awhile.

      some anti-depressant has an EXCELLENT side effect..it cuts down your appetite..
      but some actually increases your appetite so do a creful research...

      I'm on prozac and i lost 1 kg in one week....just don't feel hungry :D
      but according the my doctor..the sideeffect only lasts for a couple of weeks..soo...not a permenant solution but...it does work at some point..
