Losing weight is easy and in fact it is sheer common sense. If you consistently use up more calories than you consume, you will over a period of time lose weight naturally. Of course you know that. I said it is sheer common sense, didn't I? Then why are you not losing weight? It is because you are not dedicated enough to do so. So, from now on, make a commitment to lose weight and stick to it. Here are some ways in which you can lose weight naturally and easily.
a) Instead of doing traditional long duration cardio exercises, opt to perform High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) instead for 2 to 3 times per week on alternate days to increase metabolic rate. In between days, you can carry on with your long duration cardio exercises. If you do not know how to perform HIIT, you can search the internet and you will find many articles on HIIT.
b) Read the labels of low-fat or fat-free products. This is because many of these products contain high carbohydrates. Although you may be eating low fat products, you may be eating extra calories in the form of simple carbohydrates. Better yet, eat natural food and avoid pre-packaged foodstuff which are usually high in carbs, sugar and even transfat.
c) Increase consumption of lean protein to increase your metabolic rate, increase anabolic hormones and prevent muscle loss. Protein also helps to keep you feeling full, so will prevent you from compulsive eating.
d) Reduce drastically your intake of saturated fats and replace them with polyunsaturated fats such as flax oil and monounsaturated fats such as olive oil and avocados. Studies have also shown that omega-3 oils from fishes like cod, flounder, haddock, monkfish, perch, red snapper, sea bass, salmon and tuna may help improve health and help you lose weight. However, eat them sparingly as they also contain fat calories.
e) Drink at least plenty of water to keep you full and help you to liberate fat stores to be burned as energy. Water consumption is often overlooked as part of weight loss.
f) Eat more fibrous vegetables to improve digestion and improve weight loss. Increasing fiber intake from leafy vegetables adds fiber, minerals and vitamins. Since they are low in calories, they contribute a lot to your weight loss plan and at the same time, they add bulk to your diet thus reducing your appetite.
g) Eat 5 to 6 small meals per day instead of the usual 3 large meals. Distributing your food throughout the day improves nutrient absorption, prevent blood sugar fluctuations and decrease fat-storing hormones and enzymes.
h) Avoid alcohol as alcohol in itself is high in empty calories the calories are easily metabolized and stored as fat. When you drink alcohol with your meal, your body will metabolize the alcohol first. The rest of the calories from your meal and the excess alcohol calories will be stored as, what else but fat.
If you simply follow the ways to lose weight outlined above consistently and reduce your calorie consumption, you will surely lose weight steadily and naturally. It is easy to lose weight isn't it?

how to lose weight,help.?
I'm 5'3 and 127 pounds i know im overweight. i'm trying to lose 15-20 pounds before mid-september. any ideas?-
ANSWER:
Its ok, I was overweight once too. What I learned is: its not what you eat. its how much you eat. its ok to have a slice of piza, just one, but not everyday. you dont have to do any crazy exersize rutine, just walk for 30 minuets a day. do it with friends or walk your dog, or just put music in your ears. learn portion sizes, get 30 minuets a day and you'll lose 10 pounds in about a month, thats what i did. for the extra 5-10 you ight have to go run/jogging 2 or 3 times a week, for 15 minuets in a ddition to the 30 minuets of walking. Its takes time, but the way im telling you is really wasy to do every day. To get myself motivated, i go to the mall and find a dress or a pair of jeans that i reallly like and i tell myself if i lose 10 pounds, ill buy this. it helps

QUESTION:
How much water weight can you lose before you start losing fat?
When people begin losing weight, and they lose a lot of weight in a short period of time - how much of it is usually water weight? Like, how much water weight can you lose before you start losing the fat? I have been dieting and working out, and lost 10 lb this past 2 weeks - but I am pretty sure almost all of that is water weight. Is it possible to lose 10 lb of just water? I am 5'1 and weighed 142 lb when I started.-

QUESTION:
How to lose weight fast and healthily?
I weigh 137 pounds and I really want to lose some weight, because I'm extremely embarrassed to go swimming. I know there's really no "fast" way to lose weight, but what can I do to lose weight? I always drink water instead of sugary drinks, and I do 100 sit-ups and ballet squats before I go to bed every night. Any other important tips and exercises I can do for great results? Oh and I want to lose fat on my stomach, hips, and I want to tone my legs.-
ANSWER:
1. First start by getting up earlier than usual. Around 5:30 AM to do some of you workouts. Getting up early shocks your metabolism because the body needs more energy to get going. Right? This will start your system on the road to weight loss. That early start with about 10 minutes of stretching. Have a cup of coffee to get the blood going also.2. Do all the sit-ups you can. Just do them. 15 or 20 whatever, we don't have a lot of time to work with. Rest 1 minute repeat, do this for 6 sets. Already you are breathing hard and feel worn, because the body is working extra hard at being up earlier and then going right into exercise. If the early morning hour lets you get your cardio in, go ahead and do it. 30 minutes.
3. Diet. Cut all current meal portions in half, just cut them in half, nothing fancy or complicated, CUT IN HALF! Cut out all bread products, all gravies, candies, chips, night snacks, etc. If you crave at night eat a banana, other fruit or best a non-fat yogurt. There are some tasty ones out there.
4. In the evening do another 6 sets of sit-ups maxing out each set. Cardio again. The trick is to stay with getting up earlier. Yes it’s hard, that’s why it is so effective. Why do you think the Army gets up so early, it is intense training to the max.

QUESTION:
How can I lose weight on my waistline and stomach and keep the weight on my hips and butt?
I am relatively thick. Decent size butt hips thighs very shapely. I want to make maintain my waistline and possibly make it smaller but when i lose weight I tend to lose it all over. How can I lose the weight on top and keep the weight below and possibly add more below with out my top half getting big as well?-
ANSWER:
If you have a sitting job, stand up and stretch yourself every half an hour. Most of the jobs today are indeed sitting jobs that are in one word sedentary. This is especially true for those who sit and punch away at the keyboard or toy with the mouse all day long. So if you have such a job, make it a point to get up at least every half an hour and stretch your self.

QUESTION:
How can I lose weight without sacrificing muscle mass or strength?
Im 5ft and 8 in and weight around 145. I want to lose atleast 5-8 lbs of pure body fat. But I've heard that when you lose weight you also lose muscle mass and strength? Is this true? So how can I prevent myself from losing the mass of my muscle and strength while losing the fat.-
ANSWER:
How to lose 8 pounds of just fat is easy with these 5 or 6 simple steps. Some steps might actually make you stronger;1.Eat when you are hungry: because if you eat when you are full you are just stretching your stomach tissue and if you starve yourself that's when you lose muscle and your body will expect you to keep starving yourself which slows down your metabolism.
2.Take your time: when you eat fast you want to eat more because you cant tell when you are full. If you eat slow you will realize you are full when you are full.
3.Take walks and drink water: walks are a pretty easy exercise but it is still exercise and drinking water cleanses your body and if you drink a cup of water before every meal you won`t eat as much.
4.No artificle stuff: soda is horrible when your on a diet this may sound weird but especially diet soda. Diet stuff is the exact opposite of what it sounds it may have less calories but all the chemicals in it make up for that.(Also an other reason people say you also lose muscle mass and strength.)
5.Abs: when you are relaxing like watching TV if you sit it a position like this your abs will burn fat _/. Also slow leg lifts help too.
6.Thyroid?:If you do not lose any weight in 5 weeks ask your doctor if you have thyroid.

QUESTION:
How much weight will I lose if I start to jog and do weight watchers?
I want to lose weight but I am not all about that diet pill stuff. I tried weight watchers before but I was really busy with getting things ready for my wedding that it was the last thing on my mind to eat right.
If I do weight watchers and run/gym how much weight do you think I would lose in about 2 weeks?-
ANSWER:
everyone body is different. Remember too if you decide to exercise you have to use your activity points calculator to determine how many extra points you get for the day. But everyone's body loses weight at a different rate. Someone who jogs everyday while on weight watchers for two weeks could lose 5 lbs where are someone else could lose only 2. A bunch of different things factor into this including what you are eating everyday, how much activity you are doing, how fast your body reacts to exercise (some people need to exercise only days before seeing results while others need to exercise a month before seeing results) how fast your body gains muscle mass, how much water you are drinking, how much water your body retains after exercise and so on and do fourth so there is no way of knowing how much you will lose but cardio IS the best form of exercise for burning fat. Just make sure you are at least doing moderate exercising meaning you are pushing yourself but not too hard (just hard enough that you start to sweat after about 10-15 minutes) and doing at least a half hour of exercise each time.

QUESTION:
How to lose weight being a vegetarian and a teen?
I'm 14 years old 5'1'' and 145 pounds. I'm trying to find ways to lose weight being a vegetarian. Almost everything I look at ( what your supposed to eat, recipes etc.) says to eat meat/fish at least once a day for protein to help you lose weight. Can someone please give me things to eat everyday being a vegetarian and exercises to do to help me lose weight?-
ANSWER:
It sounds strange, but some people have reported that they lost more weight when they drank black coffee before a workout. While there’s no hard data to support this, nutritionists speculate that the caffeine in coffee makes the body rely more on fat for fuel during the work out. It’s worth trying!

QUESTION:
How to lose the extra weight and become a decent runner?
I'm 24 yrs old and weighing in at 235lbs. I try to lose weight and so far nothing has helped. There's nothing wrong with me medically. I joined Weight Watchers and have a gym membership but nothing has helped. I want to lose the weight and actually be able to run for at least half an hour non stop. Currently I cannot run for two minutes without stopping. I'm looking for any advice to help lose the weight and start running; maybe a routine that has helped you.-
ANSWER:
Though I'm a girl, I started out pretty darned pudgy and unable to run if my life depended on it. Managed to lose about 30 lbs down to 115 (and I'm fairly short, so that's a solid difference). Start by running for two minutes and walking for a few. Once you've caught your breath, run for two minutes again. Keep doing this for about 45-60 mins. The next time you go running, push it to three minutes before trying to catch your breath again. You can keep pushing it up more and more over the next few months. You should also work on eating more lean foods instead of things heavy in carbs. Just because you worked out doesn't mean you have free reign to eat anything you want.I used to barely be able to jog slowly for a mile, so far this year I've done four half marathons (all around 8:30 miles) and 2 sprint triathlons, and actually won my age group in the last one (though it was a fairly small one, but I like to forget that part!)

QUESTION:
How can you lose weight fast and healthy?
I have tried to lose weight before a few times, and it never works for me like at all. I don't know what to do, but I want to lose weight fast, and healthy. I wanna lose like a lot of weight in a few months because I am fat and I am impatient.Does anyone have ideas or tips?-
ANSWER:
Studies prove that people who lose weight quickly are more likely to gain it back.It shocks your body, and it can screw up your metabolism permanently to make gaining weight easier and losing weight harder... giving you something to struggle with all of your life.
If you make "fast" a more important factor than "permanent," you are going to screw yourself badly.
Losing weight is more of a mental battle than a physical one. If you really want to be successful, you have to battle your impatience before you can change your habits.
And fact is, the only way to lose weight and keep it off is to change your habits--- forever. To learn to make better choices about exercising and eating healthier. Because if you ever change back to your old habits, your cells will gladly gain all that weight back.
So what does it matter how long it takes? As long as you change your lifestyle to healthier habits, you will take it off and keep it off.

ANSWER:
ok look,
the answer is very obvious- don't eat too much!!
think about it- the countries where people don't stuff themselves with food, such as asia, the people are slim, and in perfect healthtoday, the society is all about food
we're eating because the food tastes good, not because we're hungry!
you see food ads on tv, magazines, everywhere!
food is everywhere, you cannot go anywhere without being offered food!
you need to learn to resist the temptations.back in the older days, you didn't eat everyday! you ate when you hunted and caught food!
you would be perfectly fine not eating for a day, it's actually good for you because it cleanses out your body!! all that getting a minumum of at least 1500 calories a day is BS!! you can survive perfectly fine on just 500 calories consumed from HEALTHY food. Sure, you'll have an uncontrollable desire to eat, but trust me, you'll LIVE.
and all this diet crap is aimed at overweight consumers. the media suggests that anorexia is bad, all these models are dying blablahblah..that's all just to make the normal obese american feel better!! i mean, how often do they show people dying from being overweight???
there's really no need to eat junk food either. it's a waste of money, and all it does is make you fat!! think about it. twinkies and soda and chips don't fill you up, they just taste good, which makes you want to eat more!
look at the skinny people nowadays. they don't constantly crave for icecream or stuff themselves with food whenever they see it.

QUESTION:
How fast can you lose weight without it being unhealthy?
This winter break, I am planning on making a strong effort to lose weight. For all who are wondering, the break will be 6 weeks long. Here is what I am planning to do:
-Eat a very reasonable diet.
-Take protein supplements.
-Drink lots of water.
-Ride my bike for an hour or two a day.
-Go to the gym Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and do some anaerobic exercise to build lean muscle.Would this be unhealthy? I have a feeling I will lose weight rather quickly, but a friend told me that losing weight fast is almost as unhealthy as being overweight in the first place. Is my plan unreasonable?
Thoughts?
-
ANSWER:
Start doing that before the break, start out slow, it will take a while for your body to get accustomed to all the changes. Starving yourself is just as bad as burning off all the calories you ate that day, just make sure you get 1200 calories a day, and ride your bike for an hour maybe, two seems a bit extreme for now, especially if you're coming out of an inactive lifestyle. Your friend is right, just don't go overboard with the exercising. If your body goes into starvation mode you could easily gain all the weight back as fast as you lost it. Good luck!

QUESTION:
How long does it take to lose weight from a single workout?
My question is on a few different levels. Please feel free to be longwinded because I really want to learn about this.I've been losing weight over the last 2 months on diet alone. I've lost about 12 pounds this way. I understand how this works - you can lose weight by reducing caloric intake and changing the types of foods you eat.
What I want to understand is how exercise makes you lose weight. I have the beginnnings of understanding on this - that you're burning calories with the exercise...like if you eat 1400 calories in a day and you burn 300 then your body only thinks you have eaten 1100, right?
But then how do all those old calories come off? The ones from three months ago that made me gain weight?
On the same vein, if i've only been losing weight with diet (steadily), and then i have one really good workout, when will it be reflected in my weight? I'm not saying I expect to lose all my weight with one workout, I'm trying to simplify the question.
-
ANSWER:
You burn calories at rest. The higher your metabolism, the more calories you will burn while exercising, and the more you will burn at rest, the idea is to raise your metabolism.
If you just QUIT eating, your body will go into starvation mode and think to itself "HEY no food coming in... all systems SLOW down we need to conserve what we've got" So you have to eat.If you have good muscle tone it is your goal not to lose it. You want to gain muscle and lose fat. Muscle also weighs more than fat, so instead of going so much by the 'scale', you should be judging progress by how your clothes fit instead.
So a person needs to eat... healthily. Every 4 hours, so you dont have that low blood sugar 'crashing' thing going on. No sugar, little fat, a lot of greens and veggies, drink much fluids (64 ounces a day plus an extra 8 ounces for every 20 pounds overweight), a 'deck of cards' sized portion worth of protein every day (only one day a week red meat) and complex carbohydrates (whole grains).
IF you are taking in less food than the 2500 calories a person of normal weight would eat, then it is logical to assume you would be taking in less vitamins than you need, SO you need a daily vitamin supplement.
The ideal exercise regimen would include 30 minutes of walking daily, three times a week aerobic training (get heart-rate up)
and two or three times a week weight training. All this can be done at home (without a gym) but a gym with a personal fitness trainer is always nice. Oprah has one, why shouldn't YOU?
Also don't forget about:
-stress (dont need that... laughter best medicine, stay in good humor, be happy)
-rest (need to sleep and get those REMs)
-not smoking
-little alcohol or caffieneI also say that you should do things to make yourself happy, like a nice hair trim (trip to salon for facial manicure pedicure etc.)
buy a nice new shirt every time you lose five pounds and get your teeth bleached at the dentist office.
Good luck on reaching your goal and congratulations on your progress thus far.

QUESTION:
How do I lose weight rather then gain weight when exercising?
Every time I exercise I gain muscle weight but I want to lose 10 lbs. I'm running a 5k in a month and I need to start running to prepare. I exercise now almost every day and do sit ups to and abs slide to flatten my stomach. Normally I use the gazelle or I ride my bike for exercise. How do I lose weight rather than gain? Thanks for your help.-
ANSWER:
More importantly is are you losing inches? Muscle weighs more then fat so you could be more slender and look fitter even if your weight has not changed or gone up slightly. Also losing weight is decreasing calories and increasing exercise, If you have not changed your eating habits an increase in exercise will not lower your weight in the way that you want.

If you are just overweight (not bigger) then it will probably be harder to lose the 15 lbs but if you are obese or above it will come off faster if you work hard and eat right.I don't know if you have seen the she "the biggest loser" but sometimes they will lose up to ten pounds in a week. That is because they are very large and they are also working out about 6 hours a day and they have the Registered Dietitian and fitness instructors. So on that show it is definitely possible but if you are doing it on your own be careful....here is something for you to think about:
1 lb = 3500 calories
if you can burn 500 calories a day x 7 days = 3500 calories (one pound)Here is how I would recommend you to cut the 500 calories daily....burn 250 calories with a good workout. Get your heart rate up and you will burn the calories in less time. The other 250 calories a day I would cut it out of what you are eating. Think about how much you usually eat and then try to find a way to cut back by 250 and honestly that isn't really very much.
Anyway good luck I hope I helped a little bit! =)

QUESTION:
How to lose weight with a sluggish thyroid?
I have early stage graves disease and it has made losing weight one of the most annoying and frustrating things ever. I have cut out fast food, eat less chocolate, eaten more healthier foods, I walk everyday and nothing. I have maybe lost two pounds but I need to lose more than that.-
ANSWER:
Duvet,Trying to lose weight with an underworking thyroid is like a bird trying to fly without wings. Remember, thyroids regulate the speed of your metabolism, and this is crucial to ensure an effective use of foods and distribution of macronutrients in your system.
There are things wich use you should decrease, while there are other things you should remove permanently if you want to see results. By the way, chocolate, coffe, dairies, eggs, soy, cabbgae, broccoli and its whole family, white sugar, fried foods, sodas and high-stress proteins should be completely removed form your diet.
Duvet, dare to go on raw foods for at least 45 days. You will not regret it. When you do so, more than 300 enzymatic complexes in your body will be reset, and chances are that your thyroid may respond fantastically to it. One thing I know: you'll be benefitted greatly, even if your thyroids do not recover 100%.
Vitamin B6, Iodine from natural sources (kelp, seaweed, etc.), Magnesium, and--since you have Grave's Disease--an immune modulator like Transfer Factor Plus or others similar, will help you great deal.
Good luck!

QUESTION:
How do I lose belly weight without losing weight anywhere else?
Okay I am 5'6 and I weight like 160 lbs. My doctor says I need to go on a diet. I don't want to lose weight anywhere but in my stomach. How do I do this.-
ANSWER:
The best way to lose belly fat is to do ab exercises and crunches. Those exercises focus mainly on your obliques and abs and help to burn fat. You can lose fat/weight in specifc areas of your body while building up muscle without losing anything in other areas. The best ab work is getting an ab ball, putting your feet up against the wall for balance, sitting on the ball, and then doing crunches. That will also strengthen your legs. You can also do crunches on the floor with a 5 to 10lb weight for more resistance on your abs. Put your feet under a couch or something like that to help you balance when you are coming up.

QUESTION:
How to lose weight without cutting out alcohol?
I'm trying to lose about 10 pounds and tone up a bit. Im a freshman in university and like to have a good time like any other uni student i occasionally drink a bit with friends. I know that if you are trying to lose weight you should really cut out alcohol of your diet but i don't want to have to miss out on anything because of wanting to lose weight. So i was just wondering what would be the best way to go about losing weight without cutting alcohol out completely. Whats the least fattening alcohol?-
ANSWER:
Muscle weighs more than fat, so it's OK to build muscle while losing fat. Don't be afraid of making muscle.Eat healthy - don't cut the calories too much, but do eat a smaller amount. Eat fruits and veggies, lean meats, and whole grains (100% whole wheat bread instead of white, brown rice, etc.)
Drink water - cut out the soda/pop. Try to get 8 cups (measuring cups - 8 ounces) of water each day.
Couple a healthy diet with cardio workouts - 3-5 days a week, 20-30 minutes per session to start. You can walk, jog, bike, play basketball, do aerobics... whatever you enjoy doing that gets your heart rate up. You don't have to work out so hard that you feel like you're dying - work out to the point that you can talk fairly easily, but not jabber on and on.
Do strength exercises to build muscle (yep, I'm suggesting this). Building muscle helps you lose fat even faster by speeding up your metabolism. Sit ups, push ups, squats, lunges... all these will help. Do these only every other day - don't strength train the same muscles two days in a row.
Hope this helps! I also recommend sparkteens.com, a free web site that helps you track your nutrition and fitness, plus gives lots of good information and encouragement.

QUESTION:
How to lose weight in a health way without creating anymore muscle?
I'm 16 and i'm noticing i've been gaining weight. Alot of weight. I'm at 130 lbs. The problem is i dont know how to lose the weight because i dont want to exercise. I have huge legs full of muscle, and i dont want anymore. Please help.-
ANSWER:
Limit these things:
1) Breads
2) Sweets
3) Sodas (Drink LOTS of water!)
4) Potatoes, fries, rice, white breads, and corn.Do exercises that cause you to sweat for 30 minutes to an hour daily.
In everything that you do, do it with moderation. Do not deny yourself anything because your body will crave what you are denying it to have. So you can have anything but the things that can put weight on you faster, you need to eat in moderation. That way you won't be craving things you have decided to deny yourself of.

QUESTION:
How much weight can you lose being a vegetarian or vegan?
I am about 5'7" and 170 pounds. I can't seem to lose weight on diet plans. I even tried the low carb diets and eating that much meat was just too gross for me. Has anyone tried going vegetarian or vegan to lose weight? Would you have any additional recommendations for this dieting method?-
ANSWER:
I have many friends who have lost 20 or more pounds just by becoming vegetarian. If they worked out, they'd lose even more.I went vegetarian just over a year ago and lost 8 pounds "accidentally." I've kept it off the whole time (5'6" and 130 lbs now). I think the reason it happened is because by cutting out meat, I was also cutting out the stuff that came with it - french fries, soda, etc.
More importantly, I have more energy, need less sleep and overall feel much better. The best part is my monthly cramps have disappeared (no extra hormones in my system from processed meat!)
The important things to remember are:
Being vegetarian doesn't mean you can eat bread and cheese all day. You need to limit the high-carb items and eat stuff like natural peanut butter, hummus, black beans, vegetarian chili, etc. Amy's Organic is an awesome line of soups, burritos, frozen meals, etc. that are reasonably priced and found at almost every grocery store.Consider keeping seafood in your diet. Salmon and tuna are great sources of protein and amino acids and are really easy to prepare.
Quit drinking soda - even the diet stuff. It's full of chemicals and crap that makes you crave it more, and many brands of the diet stuff have tons of sodium, which makes you hungry. If you need caffeine (like I do) have coffee or tea.
You should give it a try, like I did. Just tell yourself "for one week" cut out all meat, and see how it goes. You may be surprised by how easy the transition is. Good luck!
P.S. - Exercise too! Even walking 30 minutes a day will make a world of difference.

QUESTION:
How can I lose weight and avoid sagging skin at the same time?
I need to lose weight but afraid that I will have the saggy skin that many people who lose a lot of weight have. Don't want to have surgery so I need to know the most effective possible way of avoiding skin sagging.-
ANSWER:
regular exercise tones the skin as well as the muscles, so if you lose your weight slowly and gradually and keep up regular exercise like walking or biking, and your skin will tone up as well as the muscles beneath the skin. You may still have some sagging, but not nearly as much as you would if you lose the weight quickly and don't exercise as part of your routine.

QUESTION:
How do I lose weight without losing muscle?
I am a 34 yr old female with a muscular build. I have always been active and still play soccer (still play), Karate, foot hockey, and go to the gym. I have been told that I should not worry so much about weight because muscle weighs more than fat, but as I get older, I am also gaining weight. My diet is not the best, and maybe it's just a matter of changing my diet to lose the extra pounds, but I have never dieted before so I am clueless about where to even start. Any thoughts?-
ANSWER:
try taboo and weight lifting often
WHAT to eat for losing weight• Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, especially NC (negative calorie) food.
* Print these lists. They will be your ... "Bible", from now on !
* Dill and parsely - include them in all your salads. Also ognion + garlic.
* Try eat mostly fresh vegs & fruits (whenever possible, of course)
* If you really want a book, then check this out: The Negative Calorie Diet Workbook & Cookbook - eBook (Win95/98 only). Read more about this e-book here.• Eat fish, chicken, beef, pork. (preferences are in this order)
* If you are a vegetarian, then ignore this!
* Avoid fat meat• Eat 2-3 slices of bread/day. Don't EVER exclude bread from your diet!
• Snacks between meals (if needed): apples, oranges, grepfruits and other NC fruits
* Don't cheat ... NO cookies, chips, candies, brownies etc!
* EVEN if they have "low fat" indication... They might have low fat, yet they can have lots of CALORIES !!!• About rice, potatoes, beans, [xxx]nuts, pastry, pasta... you know!
* Don't eat too much of those, at least during the first weeks of the diet. I'm not a low carb addict, but I've noticed weight gains if consuming those in large quantities, especially when associated with other foods.
* If you like them a lot, try and eat them like one meal. A nice delicious plate of spaghetti could be your lunch (never dinner!), followed by a nice big apple. These rich starch foods are not good for dinner!
* At dinner time, chose mainly large mixed veggies salads... with fish, lean meat or cheese (if you are not a vegetarian).if u want to lose weight the best food to it are baked potatoes with nothing on it. no salt no nothing just plain. u can eat a 10000000000 baked potatoes till ur stuff and not gain a pound. i heard that from a weight loss tape. the best drink is water or gatorade. thats a start then when you work out do some taeboo. if u want a macine. run with dumbells on a treadmill. u could do the rocky workout. but thats a new story. u could use a butterfly macine i think it works the abs
1) It is not just the amount you eat, but what you eat. Lean meats and vegtables that snap are a good place to start. And by snap I mean fresh and not boiled or doused with better or whatever.
2) Exercise moderatly but for about an hour every other day. Spend half of that walking or running at a good enough pace for you to feel labored. The other half of the time use weights, or exercises such as push ups or situps to get a muscle "burn". A gym is also an option, but I don't know if you have the money for or want to spend the money on it.
3) Sleep well. To bed earlier and up earlier. Exercise in the morning when you wake up, not in the evening before bed. 7 hours of GOOD sleep is a must.
4) Occupy yourself with a hobby that keeps your attention for a long period of time. A hobby like this keeps your mind focused and gives less of a chance for snacking from boredom.
That is a good place to start... if you see good results, keep it up and modify to fit you... if it does not, see a doctor AND a trainer
Keep working out, drink water a lot, eat 5 to 6 meals a day but in small quantities, vegtables are important specially cucumber and lattice, fruits not be eaten after meals except by 2 to 3 hours, minimize the starch quantities in your meals lots of salad is important, your last meal must be before you sleep by 2 to 3 hours
the most important thing is you don't lose patient wait and have a strong will to be as what you wantyou might have some more ideas from www.ivillage.com
good luck

QUESTION:
How fast can you lose weight by walking 100 meters everyday?
Walking at a certain speed wherein I feel muscle "strain" (I can feel the burn!) is very healthy for me, I know. But I want to know how fast I can lose weight by doing this daily and eating a healthy diet full of a balanced amount of pasta, vegetables, meat, and water.
Can I lose five-ten pounds in 5 months or so? Or how long, and how many pounds?Does water help you lose weight?
-
ANSWER:
Losing weight requires consuming fewer calories than you burn. Walking 100 meters a day isn't much exercise if you want to lose weight, but if you restrict your calories a little you should be able to lose that much weight in 5 months. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.
Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.
In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.
Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don't. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies.
Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day.
Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.
Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body.

I need to lose at least 50 pounds fairly quickly. I do a bit of strength training with free weights already, and I don't eat a lot of food. I don't want to kill myself, but I do need to lose the weight fast. Anyone have any good suggestions?-

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.

QUESTION:
How do I lose weight in my stomach and chest?
I have been running a ton (about 30-40 miles per week) for the last 3 months and my diet is healthy. I have lost some weight but am finding it nearly impossible to lose the gooey fat in my manboobs and stomach. What the heck do I need to do? I do situps and left weights (bench press) all the time. HELP! I look like the poster boy for bitchtits.-
ANSWER:
You sure the diet is right? Mostly vegetables and fruits, with ample amounts of meat, dairy, and grain.Incremental exercise is usually the answer when you settle in a rut that you can't seem to get out of. It's most clearly exhibited in cardio (your running). When you first do cardio, your body burns a certain amount of energy - lets say 1,000 calories in 30 minutes. But as time goes by and you keep doing cardio constantly, your body adapts, becomes stronger and more efficient,...and eventually burns only 600 calories for the same 30 minute workout. That's why you have to do increments. Alternate between fast, normal, and sprinting speeds. It keeps your body guessing, up and running, and therefore will always burn as many calories as it did a year ago.

QUESTION:
How can i maintain, lose weight and keep a specified exercise program during winter?
I don't like gyms and i'm too shy to go in one because people there are fit and muscly than myself. I have lost 20 kgs (46 lbs) over the past 6 months. I need to lose 10 more kgs (22 lbs) to reach my goal weight. But since it is winter where i am i want to be able to exercise, maintain and lost weight without having to use any gym equipment or go to the gym. What can i simply do?-
ANSWER:
I've never used a gym and never had trouble being able to exercise on my own. Not sure what the weather is like where you are, but if you can get outdoors you can run or walk. That's possible even in Winter here.If you must stay indoors, then workout with dumbbells for strength training and do aerobics videos/workouts for your cardio. There are tons of DVDs and videos you can purchase or look in youtube and watch workout videos there for free. I bought the P90X workout program off ebay and found it to be a really good mix of cardio and strength training, to be done indoors. You need dumbbells or resistance bands for the strength training days...a pull up bar or resistand bands are also needed for the workouts that do pullups/chinups.
Good luck!
