    I know that I am "healthy," according to many weight loss calculation charts.

    -eat a 200 calorie breakfast, with my coffee
    -skip lunch, or eat no more than 300 calories (i get out of school at 2:50)

      I have a big experience of Liquid diets as many years a go i began to starve my self and live on liquid food, soups and pureed foods. They hold less calories as they tend to be veg and fruits.
      While yes it is a bonus to loose weight this way , long term the effects can be drastic. And your body also goes in to starvation mode which i did find out about.
      I dont have Diabetes but my nan did and i watched her weight go up and down. I have heard the low gi diet is a good one for people with diabetes as it does help curb your cravings. Well it worked for me.
      Secondly, i dont know what level of fitness you are but exercise does work. You can eat that extra if you exercise and for every pound of fat that turns to muscle you burn more calories.
      If you are oout of shape and find it hard to exercise look out for Callnetics. Callan Pitney. Brilliant . Gentle but effective and does work quick. Ebay sells the dvd for a few quid.

      However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder.       Yes, they work quite well... but you have to do your homework to avoid going for the hype.
      You already know that diet and exercise is required to get the benefits (which is very good), so I won't cover that, but make sure you look at the ingredients on any of the products first. Chromium will help with metabolism, but be careful if you have any problems with blood sugar, as it can throw blood sugar off (it can be too much support for blood sugar health). L-Carnitine and CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) are good for metabolism and burning fat as well when used with exercise, so those are big ones to look for.
      Apple Cider Vinegar on the other hand is a good cleanser... it doesn't directly impact your metabolism or weight loss, but it helps a little indirectly. Alpha Lipoic Acid is a great antioxidant, but it also doesn't help directly for weight loss (only indirectly).
      Those are just a couple examples, so keep an eye out and read over and check the ingredients before you buy any of them... that'll give the best boost to your diet and exercise regimen you've set up. Congratulations on wanting to better yourself and good luck!

    I've been on my new diet for 4 days (the fourth day now) and I've already lost 1.76pounds. I only drink water and watch what I eat. I count calories eaten and burned and I always make sure Ive burned more calories than Ive consumed. I havent been exercising yet coz Im waiting for my treadmill to arrive but I work 8.5hour days and Im on my feet the whole time. I am also using fat blaster max, its a herbal diet supplement theres actually nothing it in chemical wise. Everything that is in it is herbal, like green tea for metabolism etc. I looked into it before I purchased it and its been reviewed to work. Plus Im having no side effects.

    My question is, do you think the 1.76pounds would mostly be water weight? Or actual stored fats being burned?     I already walk 8.5 hours a day because Im on my feet all day for work. On my days off I will run 2hrs. So Im getting enough exercise too.
    Oh, forgot to add (also to third post). There's no problem with me eating fast food we have no maccas, KFC, hungry jacks, pizza hut, eagle boys, dominos, red rooster etc etc etc where i live.

      Me all I do is eat veggies and exercise at least 5 times a week and I keep on moving like tapping my legs while sitting it helps more calories to be burnt and be active :) I lost about 10 lbs in 2 weeks :)

    I'm 19 years old and a male. I weigh around 270 and am 6'2". My doctor has recently informed me that I am at risk of developing diabetes if i do not get my weight under control. For the last three months i have strictly been following a low carb no sugar diet, and have been doing intense cardio exercises for an hour a day, 5 days a week. Having only lost three pounds in the three months, it seems like i need a boost. Is adderall that boost? If not are there any other suggestions? Any other medication or herbal supplement?

      Do NOT. Don't do it. Don't.

      Intense cardio: describe it to me, please. Are you lifting weights as well? Are you watching your caloric intake? How often are you eating--are you sure you're not over- or under-feeding?

      Your boost should come from switching up your training regime; maybe even undertaking HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) programs instead of sustained long-duration cardio... because that doesn't really help drop the pounds after a short period of adaptation. HIIT gets harder as you get fitter. Lift weights!

      Don't look for quick fixes; they'll demolish your body. If you can afford it, maybe look into getting a (good, knowledgeable) personal trainer, or a dietician...

      Don't resort to using amphetamines; your heart will hate you for it.

      Food supplements that contain herbs can have undesirable effects. Most reliable manufactures of supplements will have a Warning stating to check with a medical professional before taking the product. ie: if you are taking prescribed pain medication, you may be advised not to take ginseng. Ginseng raises blood pressure.
      The new craze, krill oil is very beneficial for overall health. A doctor's web site states that krill should not be taken with any aspirin based products, however. Because krill is excellent for heart, brain, joint health, etc., it can act as a blood thinner taken with aspirin based products. I was also given that information at the VA in Connecticut.
      Most food supplememts free of herbs are generally safe.
