Learn The Fast Way To Lose Weight

Healthy Weight Loss

So you're on a healthy weight loss diet. That's good but what about your social life? How can you go out with your friends to your favorite restaurants and fast food places if you are on a diet?

There's no need to stop eating out with your friends if you are on a weight loss regimen. Eating out can be healthy as long as you either choose healthy food items or control the portions of what you eat.

If you know where you will be going beforehand, check the restaurant's online menu. They probably have healthy food such as salads, soups, lean meat or vegetable dishes. Look for food that is steamed, boiled, baked, broiled, grilled, broiled or poached. Stay away from fried food or fatty food that is smothered in cream, cheese, butter or gravies and sauces.

Drink water with your meal and not soda. A large glass of soda can contain as much as 450 calories and that would take a big bite out of your daily calorie limit.

Extras can add many unwanted calories. Bread with butter, side servings of French fries, creamy toppings and other superfluous food elements can be ignored.

In many places you can order off-menu or in other words request special dishes that are healthier than their regular menu dishes. When ordering your meal, don't be scared to ask if the dish can be slightly altered. For example, you ask for the chicken to be served skinless or the sauce to be served in a separate pot. Some restaurants also offer diet-friendly versions of their dishes if you ask for it.

There's also no need to order many courses. You might be satisfied with just the main course or perhaps the soup and salad only.

Now about some fishes that are popular. Fried chicken is generally better to avoid than order. This is true for most food that is fried. Surprisingly, steak can be fine if it is lean grilled meat. A delicious lean steak and salad, without any fattening side dishes such as chips or fries can be as little as 500 calories.

However, the dieter who is concerned with a healthy weight loss plan must take care to eat only small portions. Even a lean grilled steak can bee too much if it's a huge piece as big as a baby's head.

Pasta is not bad provided it does not come with creamy sauces. Go for tomato sauces with your pasta.

Vegetables are a good choice but they often come with fattening sauces or dressings. Chose balsamic vinegar rather than salad dressing.

Desserts can be your Waterloo if you cannot resist those sweet cakes and pies. Try to go for fruit salads or sorbets. If you cannot help but yield to temptation, go ahead and eat some of those sweet desserts but at least don't eat a large portion.

It cannot be emphasized too much that portion control is important. Learn what a proper portion size is and stick to it.

A good tip is to eat properly during the day before you go out for dinner. If you starve yourself to "save up" calories, you might arrive at the restaurant too famished too care about your diet.

Regarding binge eating, stay away from buffets entirely! Those are far too tempting because they have such a wide array of dishes to choose from. Even the strongest-willed person who has stuck to their weight loss plan can get overwhelmed by a good buffet. Since buffets are also expensive, there is the additional enticement of eating more to get the most out of your money.

Lastly, look around and explore more restaurant options. Remember that a healthy weight loss plan is forever, so change your dining habits so that you patronize good restaurants that offer healthy food.

    • ANSWER:
More and more spend hundred and even thousands of dollars yearly on weight loss supplements in the hope of speeding up their metabolism. The main desire is to be attractive and accepted but it is becoming a more difficult goal to achieve. The fitness industry is booming but still a lot of people are unable to cut those fat in spite of all the exercise and diet efforts. In America, more than sixty per cent of adults are overweight and thirty per cent are considered obese. This is because: one, a lot of weight loss products promises unrealistic goals; two, dietary supplement manufacturers rely on the overweight person’s failure to survive; and three, the information about the supplements in the market are just written by themselves just to make a sell.

    • ANSWER:
      Diet Plans for 14-Year-Old Girls

Planning a diet for a teen girl can be tricky. Many teen girls suffer from bad self esteem or a skewed body image, and may resort to crash diets that they don't need to be healthy. Instead of suggesting a diet, suggest a healthy diet plan, where she can learn to eat properly, along with exercise to create a healthier self image. As long as your teen has a healthy body mass index, or BMI, then she does not need a diet to lose weight. A diet plan that can maintain her health is all that she needs.

      Planning a Diet
      1. When your 14-year-old girl indicates that she wants to eat healthier, or you've noticed her body changing, it's important to calculate her BMI to see where she falls. Unlike adult BMI, a teen's BMI is calculated and then compared to other teens to give a percentile that she is in for her weight and height, much like you'd receive at the doctor's office. The BMI can give you a clue as to whether she simply needs a diet plan to eat more healthy, or if she'll need a diet plan for weight loss. With a healthy BMI, your 14-year-old girl will enjoy better quality of life.
      Regular Meals and Snacks
      2. One of the most important things to incorporate into a 14-year-old girl's diet plan is regular meals and snacks throughout the day. Teenagers are especially susceptible to skipping meals like breakfast and lunch: the first because she's running late, and the second due to pressure from peers to eat as little as possible. However, skipping meals sends your 14-year-old's body into starvation mode, telling it to store up fat for the next skipped meal. Eating regular meals actually causes a teen's metabolism to run faster, burning more calories in preparation for the next snack. Talk to her about the importance of regular eating, both for maintaining energy, concentration and focus through the day, and as an important tool for weight loss.
      Better Meals and Snacks
      3. Too often teen girls eat meals and snacks that are less than ideal. While you want her to eat regularly, you also want her to eat quality food that will help her on her quest for a healthier diet. Make it easy for her by supporting her diet. Send her to school with a variety of healthy snacks like nuts, vegetables and crackers to snack on between school periods, and opt for a homemade lunch over cafeteria fare, which can be greasy and unhealthy. Talk to her about staying full with the right foods, those that are high in nutrients, but still low in fat and calories. Armed with the right information, your 14-year-old girl can follow a diet plan to keep her healthy, and gain eating tools to help her for the rest of her life.

    • ANSWER:
I recently discovered a web site (http://the-diet-solutions-program.org) that offers a free on-line video about a superb weight loss program. The video provides lots of informative content about how to lose 10% of unwanted fat in 30 days. The video made so much sense to me that I bought the book that the video is based upon.

The "The Diet Solution Program" weight loss program described in the web site video appeals to me because it does not involve starvation. I can still enjoy foods, I just need to choose which ones are fat-burning and which ones prevent fat-burning. The video on the web site goes over these foods. The book is a wealth of information about these foods.

The other reason I like this program is because it describes a diet that can easily be adopted into a lifestyle. Since it teaches how to lose weight by eating the right healthy foods, the fat is burned off naturally and stays off forever.

I was surprised about some of the foods that I was eating that I thought were healthy but were really working against me. The video and the book were real eye-openers and have changed me for the better.

    • ANSWER:
There is nothing more frustrating than not achieving the goals you set for yourself. No matter if we talk about sports achievements, professional achievements or a weight loss program. Therefore, while setting the goals for yourself, you must be realistic, and take all circumstances into account. On the other hand, you should not be too conservative, because this will only slow your progress in achieving success at fat loss.

So how will you set a realistic goals? Well, we'll start with eating an elephant! What? Eating and elephant? How? Why?! Good question: how? How would you eat an elephant? You can't eat it at once, right? You can't just swallow it, right? You can eat it as you normally eat a steak - piece by piece. Bite size pieces, I mean. And it's exactly the same when it comes to your goals. You can achieve great success at fat loss, step by step, and not trying to make too big steps at a time.

You already know that healthy eating habits are essential for success at fat loss. On the other hand, it takes time to form a habit, so why not start now with the first step: breakfast. Get up early enough to have enough time to eat your breakfast in an enjoyable way, without hurry and stress. Just make this one commitment and stick to it for one week, then for another, and still another... This is a baby step, it's manageable, it's realistic. The next step would be planning the times of your meals during the day to fit your working routine.

Your main goal is to lose that ugly fat, and get back to your lean, trim and fit body. Well, this is hell of an elephant, especially when you have also gathered pretty much fat around your belly. Again, we are going to eat this elephant piece by piece. The first step here is to find any old clothes that fit you when you bought them, but "shrunk" a bit (due to extensive washing?) over time. Find those jeans you bought a year or two ago, which are now a bit too tight. Try to put that piece of clothing on. Too tight, right? Oh, you can't even button it up... Hm... OK. Make this your first goal - lose enough fat to be able to wear those jeans again. If you don't have such old clothes at home, go to the nearest shop and ask the shop assistant to show you something one size smaller than you are. Try this on. Now make losing this one size your goal. Set the deadline of course. One month to start with? And when you reach this goal, make another smaller size your next one.

The same concerns physical activity. If you haven't been active physically for a longer time, you cannot expect being able to do all the exercises correctly at the first time. You must accept your being slower, less flexible, and less enduring than you might wish to be. Participating in every training will change that for the better, and your bite-size goal may be just participation in the next training. With time, you won't even want to miss one. If you took up jogging, start with even with 10-15 minutes with strong commitment to add another 5 minutes every week.

As you can see, you can divide a big task of losing excess fat into small steps, small goals that you can achieve on your way to success at fat loss. This concerns all aspects of fat loss, not only your eating habits and physical activity, but also learning the basics of good nutrition, keeping a regular journal, and doing it all systematically.

Also never forget two important truths: you are not in this world to prove anything to anybody, and losing weight and fat is not a race. It means, that your bite-size pieces of your goal elephant can be as small as you wish, and you can take as much time to process them as you need. Loosing fat that you've been building around your belly for years requires time, so give yourself that time. Decide that you want to lose fat, show yourself how much you want to lose as your first step, and do the step. Then take another step, and another. But DO take those steps.

Remember, you've been putting on weight for years, and you can't get rid of it in days. Accept the fact that you will need long weeks to get rid of your body fat in a healthy way. Let me repeat IN A HEALTHY WAY. And effective at the same time. So don't rush it. You want to be slim and trim and fit, and you can achieve it only in a step by step process.

Successful weight loss is dependent upon activity as well as proper nutrition. You need to look at what you are eating, and make sure you are eating enough. At least 2000 calories a day for you of proper real food, mainly low GI carbs, plenty of fruit and vegetables and adequate protein. If you drink beer or sodas, you have to stop! To lose a pound a week you need to create a daily deficit of 500 calories. One to two pounds per week should be your aim. I would suggest that you start to walk and not run so much, because you may be in the wrong heart rate training zone. 220 less your age is your predicted maximum heart rate. Calculate 65 to 75% of your max heart rate and stay in that zone for 40 minutes, 3 to 4 times a week. You just might be trying too hard, and actually overdoing it by burning the wrong fuel! You need to have a few total rest days. Medications can also affect weight loss. Relax a bit, it took time for those 40 lbs to accumulate and they're not all going to dissolve in a few months. Go visit a fitness centre if you can, they should be able to help you. They will have equipment to measure your heart rate zones.

  31. QUESTION:
What is a healthy weight loss goal?
I'm 17, 5'5", and 180lbs. My calculated ideal body weight is 130lbs. I'm not looking to be skinny i like some curves so what is a healthy goal for the New Year? Thats about 5 and a half months from now.

    • ANSWER:
Usually, to lose a pound, you have to expend 3500 more calories than you eat. Some calories you burn just by daily living, but exercise will help speed that up. Then, a diet with lean meat, fruits and veggies is great. Hold off on the soda, chips, french fries, etc. You should be able to safely expend 500 more calories a day than you eat, that equates to one pound a week. (It will be quicker with more intense exercise). So, in 5 and a half months, you should be able to lose 25-30 pounds easily. Good Luck

4 week ago I was 159 pounds. Today I'm 147 pounds. I'm female, 16, 5'10'' my bmi is about 21 which is normal. I feel like I'm losing weight too fast and 4 weeks ago, I was still at a healthy weight now I'm getting close to underweight since I'm tall with a wide frame.
Is this a normal weight loss? How Can I keep the weight off and maintain?
    Thanks

    • ANSWER:
It's a little fast, but it could be partly water weight, so you might see your weight increase a little when you return to a normal diet.
If you want to maintain your current weight just ensure your daily calorie intake doesn't go higher then 2000 calories and keep your carbohydrates low.

  36. QUESTION:
what are some healthy weight loss foods?
i work out from 2 hours a day id just like to know what foods to eat if i wanted to lose weight. like, whats healthy? veges grilled chicken and fish....any ideas?

    • ANSWER:
Pretty much all vegetables are good. Some have a little more calories than others but generally they have few calories and lots of fiber. Also, if you like bread or pasta, try to eat whole wheat and make sure they don't just "contain" wheat but actually are whole wheat. They not only have fiber and less processed grains, but whole wheat has been found to have other health benefits as well. Try to drink plenty of fluids but not juice or soda. Drink water, and if you don't like just plain water, drink flavored seltzer waters that don't have calories or very few. People don't realize it when they drink all their calories because they don't feel full. Turkey has less fat than chicken, and make sure you eat baked chicken or saute it in a small amount of olive oil and use seasonings for flavoring (i.e. spices, garlic, onions, etc.). Try to avoid too much salt because that can make you retain water. You do need some sodium in your diet though. That's it for now. Good luck.

  38. QUESTION:
For a healthy weight loss of 2 pounds a week, how often should I visit the gym?
I have started eating 1500 cals a day as well. I'm 24, 5' 7 and 168 pounds (12 stone) is 3 times a week doing 90 mins of cardio sufficient or should I break it up and do the same exercise over more days?

    • ANSWER:
You need to be working out atleast 3 times a week for atleast 60 min each time. That is a minimum, anything more is good too. Just no more than 6 days a week. And also dont do just cardio. Do half cardio and half weight training. Cardio with burn a lot of the calories, but so will the weight training as well as fat. Plus you muscles will get toned from the weights. Doing just cardio doesnt do much, you may drop the pounds but in the mirror it will compare nothing to if you add weight training in too. I work out 6 days a week, 30-45 min cardio and 60-90 min weight training. Im 20 5'7 started at 174 and now im 149. All within 2 months.

  39. QUESTION:
What are some good ideas for a healthy weight loss breakfast?
I am getting back on the horse after a horrific health ordeal that I went through recently that really opened my eyes to our health in general. I am only 23 and really need to exercise more. I am not overweight, but have shortness of breath and occasionally a pain in my abdomen which is do to a slightly fatty liver. What can I do to get me goin in the morning and get de-fatitize myself? LOL

    • ANSWER:
-Egg beaters--scrambled or make an omlette with veggies (egg beaters is a 99% egg product with no cholestorol or fat like whole eggs have)
-Non-fat or Low-fat cottage cheese--have it plain, on whole wheat toast, in an omlette, or with fruit mixed in.
-Oatmeal with fresh fruit of your choice (bananas, strawberries, peaches etc)
-Vegetarian "meat" products (they are lower in fat and cholesterol). I like the morningstar farms saussages and patties, or just regular gardenburgers. Try different brands to see what you like best.
-non-fat or low-fat yougurt (with or without fresh fruit) is always good, and the yougurt is especially good for your digestive health.
-Fruit is good in the morning because the sugars give you a natural boost in energy, and whole grains and fiber will fill you up for the day ahead. Also, vary your diet so your body gets all of the nutrients it needs. :)

Poll: Would you subscribe to a web site about healthy weight loss if it didn't have crap ads all over it?
I have been trying to find websites with accurate information about healthy foods and all I get are pages covered with bogus products, exercise machines, or magic diet pills. Sometimes you can't even find the article on the page it is so chopped up with ads.
Or they want you to sign up for free and then fill your mailbox with crap e-mails.
So would you pay a subscription fee for accurate uncluttered information?

    • ANSWER:
Until the website offering accurate uncluttered information about healthy food prove that it DOES have quality health and weight loss information that I can use, I'm not paying a thing.

I probably would if the health website offers a money back guarantee and has an easy opt-out feature from the subscription.

  43. QUESTION:
Is eating Kentucky grilled chicken a good start to healthy weight loss?

    • ANSWER:
anyway it is better then pork! :)

if you really want to lose wight and fat then you should remember and do this:

      EVERYDAY RUN (WALK) + L-Carnitine + TAKE LESS CALORIES + LIPO-6 = 100% SUCCESS

      1) if you dint have then buy scales!!! that is the first thing to do!!

      2) run every 2 days for at least ~30 minutes or/and walk every day at least 5 km!

      3) L-Carnitine!!!

L-Carnitine is a nutrient that helps the body turn fat into energy. It is produced by the body in the liver and kidneys and stored in the skeletal muscles, heart, brain, and sperm. Usually, the body can make all the carnitine it needs. Some people, however, may be deficient in carnitine because their bodies cannot make enough carnitine or transport it into tissues so it can be used. Some other conditions, such as angina or intermittent claudication, can also cause insufficient carnitine in the body, as can some medications.L-Carnitine is made in the body from the amino acids lysine and methionine. It increases the use of fat as an energy source by transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are ‘burned’ to release energy for body functions. It is available in several different forms including propionyl-L-carnitine and acetyl-L-carnitine. Propionyl-L-carnitine, through its enhancement of metabolism has been proven to prevent ischemia-induced heart dysfunction, and acetyl-L-carnitine has been suggested to delay the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. L-carnitine is found naturally in avocados, breast milk, dairy products, red meats (namely lamb and beef), and tempeh (fermented soybean product).

L-carnitine should be taken one hour before you will exercise! (Also you can take L-carnitine with meals or 1 to 1-1/2 hours after meals!)

L-Carnitine boosts energy by stimulating the body's burning of tryglycerides as fuel, and sparing the supply of glycogen stored in the liver for heavier exertion. During exercise, the body will burn fat at a rate of 75-80% of maximum exertion, thus less glycogen from carbohydrates is burned. L-carnitine
allows the body to burn more fat, save more glycogen, and ultimately boost stamina and endurance. By providing more fat to the muscles, carnitine makes accessible an otherwise unavailable energy source.

      FAT + OXYGEN + L-CARNITINE = ENERGY

      5) you MUST change your diet!! start to use products with less fat, less carbohydrates! start count your calories! do not eat more than ~2000 per day and if you feel that you can reduce this number then do it!

because if you will use L-Carnitine - you will get calories from your body fat too!! so better is to eat 2kg fruits then 1 cheeseburger...
and drink more and more water!! REMEMBER - NO rice, NO pasta, NO pork, NO mayonnaise, NO sweets, NO candies, NO alcohol!!!!!
      MORE fruits, vegetables!!!

      6) also you should use some fat-burner! I had tried many of them but only one worked for me as fast as I wanted to! it was Lipo-6! I lost ~80 pounds in 3 months! No starvation!! only LESS CALORIES + Lipo-6 + L-Carnitine + EVERYDAY RUN (WALK) = SUCCESS!!!

I do not know if any store carry Lipo-6 but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.healthbuy.com/product/overview/lipo6_weight_loss/?aid=749165

It worked for me and my wife!

and this method is working for my friends too!!

just try it and I guarantee you 100% that you will lose wight!!!

      good luck!!!

And if a muscle is stimulated properly, whey can help repair and build new muscle tissue which can boost your metabolism and help you drop more fat.

Make sure you use a pure whey protein with No artificial Sweeteners, No artificial Flavors, No artificial Fillers etc.

  48. QUESTION:
What plan should I stick to for healthy weight loss?
Hi! My doctor said I'm close to being at risk of being overweight. I'm 13 years old and I am 5 foot 4 inches tall. I'm not really fat but I' could be skinnier so I just started at about 137 pounds. In just a couple of days, I've gone down to 134 pounds. Please give me some advice and support! Thanks! <3

    • ANSWER:
Please remember to be very careful about not getting enough nutrients! At any age, people need to be extremely careful to get enough nutrients. In fact, you should ask your parents/guardians about getting a multivitamin specifically for growing teenagers like you. Also, you should make sure to talk to your doctor about whatever plan you choose, since doctor's really know their stuff! Assuming you don't have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, one of the best things you can do is to include some low fat or non-fat dairy products like milk to give you calcium and vitamin D. Milk is especially important to help your bones grow when you are young. Also, remember to eat your vegetables and fruits!

You could basically never gain weight eating vegetables and fruits. They are simply not very calorie dense, but they are nutrient dense! They give you huge amounts of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytochemicals, which is awesome! So, whatever you do, please don't skimp on things like protein, dairy, fruits, and vegetables. In fact, the only things you should totally skip are things like candy bars, soda, chips, and other junk foods. The reason why they are bad is because they have a large number of calories and little or no nutrients!

Water is essential! Drink plenty of water every day! Not drinking water can make your stomach hurt, make you dizzy, make you tired, and make you feel awful! Always drink water whenever you feel thirsty! It is much better to drink water than to drink soda! If you want to drink something besides water, you should drink juices like orange juice or vegetable juice.

So, the most important things to remember is to always have vegetables, fruit, dairy (unless you have an allergy), and water! Making sure you have enough protein (meat, soy, nuts, and beans) and some complex carbohydrates (pasta, rice, etc; whole grain or brown is best) and a little bit of good fat (nuts, beans, olive oil, olives) is also important. Basically, it is best to eat lots of different foods, especially fruits/vegetables. The only foods you can totally stop eating for good are sodas, chips, candy, and other junk food.

Now, you can start writing down the food you eat and how much you eat into a journal. Then, you can take this journal with you to the doctor. The doctor can help tell you if you are eating in a healthy way. Please remember that you definitely need to eat! When people stop eating, or eat very little food, their bodies become very frail and unhealthy. Not to mention, people that lose weight by eating too little almost always gain that weight back plus some extra! Instead of not eating, simply eat more of the foods that are natural and healthy, and less junk food!

  49. QUESTION:
What should i eat for a healthy weight loss diet?
I'm 14, and I'm 107 pounds. I have some belly fat that i'm trying to lose, and hopefully a diet and jogging will help.

Can i get any suggestions specifically for what i should eat for Lunch, Breakfast, and Dinner?

    Thankyou.

    -Jas

    • ANSWER:
My sister is your age and weighs a little more then you. So this is what she says she does. She eats a piece of wheat toast with light jam with a fruit for breakfast. Then some pretzels or crackers, or fruit as a snack if she gets hungry before lunch. For lunch she normally gets the healthiest thing the school has that day, and again a snack if she gets hungry. When she gets home from school she runs 2 miles, then does some sit ups and push ups. For dinner she mostly eats chicken or tuna meals, with sides, like broccoli with cheese, or any vegetables or salad. She does all this because she is on the track team and the Volleyball team, so she stays very fit. The main thing you need to know is, don't EVER starve yourself, you don't ever want to feel that hunger pain. You need to eat every 4 hours with a light snack in between, and if you run and exercise, you can pretty much eat what you want.

  50. QUESTION:
What are some exercises I can do at home to promote healthy weight loss?
Person with the most exercises that sound reasonable wins the ten points!

    • ANSWER:
I love working out at home instead of the gym. Costs alot less and not all those germy exercise machines. Also, no embarrassment, haha!

      Somethings you cound do are:
      - Jump rope - this is the best workout ever! I do it everyday for at least 15 minutes and it keeps me really fit! You have to build up to it though. Start with 2 minutes and so on and so on, and soon you'll e able to go 30 min. + straight.

      - Squats

      -Jumping jacks

-Burpees - these are really good and challenging. If you don't know what they are, look it up because it's a bit hard to explain.

      - Runnig/jogging around the block

      -Running up and down stairs

      - Just dancing to music

      - Put an obstacle on the floor and practice jumping over it as many times as you can with your feet together.
