      Every weight loss supplement is a scam. Many supplements causes excessive water weight loss, which over all is NOT what you want. You want to lose body fat, not water weight. Actually having water weight helps you lose body fat so many of of those supplements that cause water weight loss actually make fat weight loss very difficult. It's also why the seccond you stop taking the supplements the weight packs back on.
      Supplements should be avoided when losing weight unless they are prodivded to you by a doctor.

      If you look at the instructions on the back of almost any supplement it says something along the lines of "works along with diet and excercise". Well in all honesty it's the diet and excercise that's really doing the work, not the pill. So either it's hiding behind the diet and excercise or causing water weight loss to give the illution you are losing weight and it's the medication helping.

      Just gradually start encorperating more activity into your life, eat healthier, and control your portions. You really don't need to be taking supplements.
      The person you are talking about just crapped a lot and lost water weight. They didn't really lose body fat. Just because someone loses weight doesn't mean it was fat that was lost. You want to do all you can to keep some water weight AND muscle weight. Muscle and water helps you burn body fat when it comes to excercising. So you don't want to take supplements that get rid of it, it only makes losing body fat harder, and again once you stop taking the supplement a lot of that weight is going to go right back on. The point of dieting and excercising is to make a lifestyle change so the weight never comes back.

      I take green tea vitamins every day, and honestly I haven't noticed a difference in my weight, but It has worked wonders on my skin and It does curb your appetite a little. Over all green tea is very healthy for you, so It is a good idea for anyone to take it. "pot belly" or not.

      Someone reverse-engineered a weight loss capsule to discover green tea. I have not read of any study indicating it helps.
      There is an herb from Africa that is supposed to help but its very expensive. Hoodia ?
      I take 1 or 2 tablespoons of coconut oil on anything prior to a big meal two times a day. The coconut oil helps with
      1) reduce hunger because you have some fat in your diet to satisfy the urge
      2) increase metabolism to burn more calories during the meal
      but it does not appear to the body as fat so it is not stored as fat. It is a medium length molecule that 'looks' different.
      I figure the cost of it is offset by food savings.
      I think that treadmill walking will not raise your heartrate enought to help. You need to exert more energy - like a fast walk to make you puff.

The longer it takes to drop the weight, the longer it will stay off. Supplement your cardio with some weight training. Muscle will burn fat faster than cardio because it actually boosts your metabolism. Plus a little variety will help you keep progressing rather than hitting a stand still.       well u have to diet and exercise as well. there is no magic pill for weight loss sadly. i tried it and all it did was keep me awake and give me headaches. eating right and trying to do more activities throughout the day will probably help more without the nasty side effects. i know its really hard to do and stick with but losing weight is a whole lifestyle change. im a type one diabetic and i find it hard because since being in college i find all these new sweets i never had and i gained like 15 lbs. but i got rid of the junk stay away from those sections in stores and cook vegetables into things i like and drink mostly water and walk instead of taking the shuttle to class. its work but its worth it. u will feel better in the end. swimming is good exercise too. 5 mins of that is like 30 mins of walking and your joints and muscles dont hurt as much

      It's funny how few years back, Acai was discovered in mainstream America and all of the sudden, so many companies jumped on the bandwagon to promote this "new miracle fruit" that supposedly possesses wonderful weight loss properties. Yeah, if you eat only them!! And why not? - there is tons of money to be made off of the exceedingly large amount of obese people in the world today who are looking endlessly and exhaustingly for help to take off pounds. I feel badly for them, because in desperation, they spend so much hard-earned money and time on trying all of these gimmicks, only to be disappointed.

      I'll get off of my soapbox now (sorry - I just get very irritated how companies take advantage of the disadvantaged all for the sake of greed!).       For the sake of your question, I Googled "Acai + weight loss" and "green tea + weight loss" and got almost 17,000,000 results and over 10,000,000 results respectively - see what I mean! You're better off just cutting out animal products and byproducts and eating a mostly raw vegan diet - you can't imagine how quickly you can lose weight while becoming healthier, more vibrant and energetic, and attaining a exuberant over-all well-being!! So, to answer your question - neither one. For your own sake, stop falling for the lose-weight-quick schemes and do what you know is best - eat healthy, exercise, and get plenty of good rest - your body will then know how to reach your ultimate weight AND health.

Drop your caloric intake or increase the amount of exercise, or better yet - do both. Little things that can help - replace your computer chair with an excerise ball, take the stairs instead of the elevator, don't skip meals (and make them healthy meals), fidget (belive it or not tapping your foot or clenching your butt while you sit burns more calories than just sitting still).       I understand the problem with meds and weight gain. Going through it myself. However, I would not risk any supplement etc. This is because they may have something in them that could trigger a manic state. Supplements are not required to be tested by the FDA and we don't always know what is in these supplements and what might trigger an exacerbation in our symptoms. I do agree with the other poster about exercise. It is sooooo hard to do. I seriously have problems with staying motivated but my 15 year old (also bipolar) excercises everyday and she actually weighs less AND she eats whatever she wants. She just gets a lot of excercise and it works. Hope that helps.

    Right, I've always been a big girl, but would desperately like to lose weight before March, because my boyfriend and I are going away for the weekend, and I want to be comfortable in my swim-suit in the pool.

      My fear would be that you will burn out drinking green tea and clear chicken soup after three weeks, and then you'll be burnt out with dieting! It might work initially, but you will burn out soon (and even if you manage to do it until March, what happens when you start eating "normal" again??).

      After trying nearly every diet out there, from WW to South Beach and many others, the most success I've had is from counting calories. I really like the Flat Belly Diet, but I skipped the first phase and jumped right in. I do drink the "Sassy Water" everyday because I like it. I write down everything I eat, and the calories (I carry around a little pocket calorie guide for when I'm out), and when I am done, I AM DONE. Also, incorporate some physical exercise a few times a week, even if it's just walking the dog at the park or around the block. I really think you'd have much more success with this approach than drinking green tea and soup for three months.....because realistically, you won't make it on that until March.

    I do not want to take any diet pills I did before and it is too expensive and does not take off that much weight. My questions are what supplements can I take that help you drop weight naturally.       The quickest way to lose weight is to cut out red meats, starches, breads, sugars, alcohol, and sodas.

      Eat veggies (salads are good), soups, and drink TONS of water. If you get hungry between a meal, drink water to fill up.

      Practice portion control. Yes, you'll feel hungry at first, but think of your goal, and soon your stomach will start shrinking and you won't have that feeling anymore.

      Eat 5 times a day. A small breakfast. A mid-morning snack, such as an apple. A small lunch. A mid-afternoon snack, such as carrots. A lite dinner. Do not eat any later than 7pm (6pm is better.)

      Go exercise for at least an hour - two a day, incorporating weight training along with your cardio. Cardio helps to melt the fat, while weight training builds muscle. Muscle burns fat, even when you are resting. You get the idea. It also gives tone and definition. Also do a few yoga and pilates exercises to help tone those hard to reach and stubborn areas

    Okay so my parents and I are in this argument right now. They take green tea weight loss/ dietary supplements, whereas I take B12. My father has recently become very active.     I am 21 years old when I started college at 17 I was 132 pounds, but this is more than the freshmen 15. I am now 181 pounds during my 4th year of college, the thing is I live so much more of a healthier lifestyle. I never worked out in high school, NEVER ate breakfast, we had off campus lunch so i ate fast food or processed food every day, and never did any physical activity and I was rail thin, im 5'8 by the way. Once I noticed the weight gain I tried everything I eat breakfast daily, i eat healthy for the most part, no fast food I work out at least 3 times a week most of the time more, my school just opened up a state of the art gym I do yoga, cardio, "butts and gutts" and weight training, i take vitamins im not a smoker and I have seen no results. I even tried a boot camp last summer I paid 0 did a meal plan and worked out with a personal trainer m-f for a month and didnt lost a pound, Ive actually gained 10 pounds since then, everyone else in the class saw results. Its so frustrating, when I wasnt working out and eating like crap i was thin, now I wake up at 7am and work out and do everything textbook to lose weight and the scale keeps rising! My theories. I was on depo provera but its been over a year since ive been off it with no weight loss and i was also on lexapro but again its been atleast a year since ive taken that medication and didnt see any weight loss after I got off the medication. Am i doing something wrong? What are some reasons why I just can't seem to lose weight? Could it be the medicine, if so how long does it take to get it out of your system? Any advice would be great ive serious spent so much money on gym memberships, personal trainers, diet books, green tea supplements all with no results I do know what to do..

      The only way to get rid of belly fat is to lose the excess weight all over the body.
      We don't get to decide where we lose excess body fat.

      Unfortunately the dreaded belly fat is the last we seem to lose.
