For starters, I'd read "Eat More, Weigh Less" by Dr. Dean Ornish. His emphasis is eating legumes, leafy greens, and vegetables. You also should eat ground flax seed (Omega-3), fruits, and whole grains. If you go pure vegetarian, make sure to get enough B12 and D vitamins.
Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Jr. is another excellent resource. For a lengthy list of experts subscribing to the whole plant based diet, read his book "Forks Over Knives."

1.) Diet. Not THAT kind of diet, but one you can actually live with. If you want chocolate, eat it, but not much. If you are hungry but feel like you can't handle the calories, eat something filling but very low in calories. Spinach is a great food for this.2.) Exercise will help tremendously. Do what you can, but I recommend at least 30 minutes a day. It doesn't have to be all together, either.
3.) Supplements can take a huge load off your shoulders. The right pill can boost your metabolism and cut appetite, making it much easier to stick to that diet. A few bucks now could make the whole difference.

First of all, I've been watching a lot of Jillian Michaels. Watch her show, it will help motivate you. She has a website and you can sign up for a weight loss plan, but it costs money. So I created my own. I've been trying to lose weight before my wedding, so I created my own 5k training plan, where I started with .5k just running around my neighborhood, twice per week. I increased it each week. So I'm in better shape, and it gave me my cardio I needed to start losing weight. On days I couldn't run, I walked. The other part of it was my diet though. I was doing really well, then it was ruined by birthday cake and ice cream (not just one time, but over the entire week), which can kill any diet. So now I minimized deserts, I eat grains in the morning (oatmeal or cereal, maybe some eggs once in a while for protein), for lunch I eat a smaller-portioned meal with a fruit or some vegetables, and for dinner my fiance always cooks and I just begged him to cut my portions a lot. He's been making more salads and cutting out any cheese or dairy products. I get my calcium through a supplement, which come in pills or chewables. If I get hungry in between meals, which has been happening less and less because my appetite has become curved, I much on some trail mix with nuts and dried fruit, wheat thins, raisins, or blueberries (just enough to make you not hungry anymore).Losing weight is really just about eating less, eating healthier, and exercising more. You have to have all the above to make it work. My mother tried to just stop eating and of course, it didn't work. You have to exercise it off too, even if you walk 3 miles a day. My sister walks 4 miles a day and is eating healthier, and she has lost SO much weight, she looks incredible in her bridesmaid dress. It's really not that hard to do as long as you develop self-control and motivation. It also helps if anybody you live with is on board and supporting you. QUESTION:
I need a good diet/weight loss pill!?
I have tried everything I can to loose my belly weight and I can't. I have taken one pill before, and recently began taking it again. It doesn't seem to be working this time. What I was wanting to know was what's the best over the counter weight loss/diet pill that actually works. I would like it to be on the cheaper side but if it really works I wouldn't be above paying a good price for it.PLEASE...I need answers, I have 4 months til I go to CA for vacation and I would like to be as fit and skinny as possible.
First off...sorry I misspelled lose I have been up for over 24 hours.Now...An FYI, I have tried dieting and exercise (for over a year) and it didn't help one bit. I didn't lose any weight, inches, or sizes.
I have also changed my diet as to I do not have a gallbladder anymore and have to watch what I eat pretty closely.

Diet pills are a supplement to a healthy regime, not the answer. try this, guaranteed to work.Get your weight in kgs. Multiply your kgs x 1.56, this will tell you the amount of protein in grammes you should be eating per day.
Also find out how many calories you burn (RMR -resting metabollic rate, men ave 2000 cals/day, women 1500).
Then eat the right amount of protein, reduce your calorie intake 500 below your RMR and research shows you will lose 2lbs of FAT per week.
Best to eat 4 - 6 small meals per day.
Exercise wise, you need to do 3 20 mins sessions per week. Choose your machine, running, rowing etc. Do 5 mins at a gentle pace, then up your pace each minute for the next 4 mins, repeat this cylce. Then the last 2 mins the gentle pace to warm down.
Combine these you'll burn fat and shape up.

All those stupid "diet" pills they sell - they're totally worthless. There was Meth Amphetamine years ago - the doctors would give it to you - you'd go completely nuts and move faster than light for a while and lose weight like crazy! It was great. All of WW 2 was fought on Meth - those guys could stay awake for days on that stuff.But alas - you can't get it legally anymore - and the crap they sell illegally will rot your teeth out.
Nope - no pills... you can try the Atkins diet - works great. you don't have to starve. Go to the Atkins website and read some of that. It's a great diet - I'vee done it for the past 10 years.

It sounds healthy but you are missing carbohydrates. If you cut these out you will be low on energy and your body will crave chocolate and crisps (chips). Why not add brown rice, wholemeal bread and pasta to your diet and do some swimming, running and walking to speed up the weight loss. Good luck!

Make sure you're not eating too many grains, and really be careful of proper portion sizes - a serving of grains is just 1/2 cup of rice or 1/2 cup of pasta. If you want to have 2 servings at the same time that's fine - just make sure to count it as such.

If you think it is working for you, that's great. Just remember you THINK it is working for you. There is no clinical proof other than placebo.
Have the omelette - a relatively healthy male should have a minimum intake of 2000 per day to avoid catabolism.

I find that drinking water helps a lot in shedding weight. It isn't so much the water but the lack of sugar that's in drinks that does it.
I also walk whenever I can. Walking is very good for losing weight, so is eating less,.. Try it.

Switch those up for something hearty like baked chicken or steamed veggies; lean meats and fresh-not processed!- produce are the best choice for you; save the indulging for after you've reached your goal( ah! But don't over-do it until you're back here again).Make sure you get enough protein and fiber; you can google websites on how to find out how much you need.
Next, I would recommend you do an hour of cardio a day; be it swimming, running, walking, hiking, biking, or even some floor moves like jumping jacks. Be sure to switch it up so that your body does not get use to the exercises! And stay hydrated.
