I've been researching losing weight for a long time now and I was able to lose 30 pounds in 3 months using simple nutritional advice and learning how the body works. Don't do what many people do by eating one meal a day because it is the worst thing you could possibly do, believe me. Your body will slow down your metabolism because you are eating less and consuming less calories. You will lose weight as first but your body is built as a survival machine and it will try and keep you alive if you try to starve yourself. When your metabolism slows down, you will store fat and you will not LOSE weight fast. You have to eat food to lose weight. I know this sounds weird but any nutritionist, fitness trainer, and doctor will make you eat food in order to lose wight. Eat 3 meals a day and 3 snacks. Make sure you space them out 2 hours apart and drink plenty of water too. I've listed articles that help to burn fat and lose weight so focus on those foods like lean protein, vegetables, whole carbs..etc. Whatever you do, don't go eating alot of sugary foods like cake, cookies, ice cream, fast food. I know it tastes good but it wont help you. Eat good clean food that will help raise your metabolism. You want to help boost your metabolism at all costs because that is your "fat burning engine." Focus on that and you will do just fine. The other important thing is you have to stay consistent. Don't stop eating your 3 meals packed with good protein, some healthy carbs, and vegetables. Don't stop snacking on healthy snacks in between either because that will help boost your metabolism. Also, don't eat the same thing all the time, your body will get used to it and you will not lose as much weight so keep changing around your foods. For ex: Eat a yogurt for a snack one day, then a piece of fruit the next, then a handful of nuts, then a small salad...you get the idea. I go in much greater detail in the articles. By the way, an exercise program is good too. However, when you jog on the treadmill, don't simply jog. Train like a sprinter for the olympics to lose weight. Sprint as fast as you can for about 30-60 seconds and then take a minute break by walking at a normal pace. Then repeat the process. This is called "interval training" and this will help get your heart pumping very fast and will burn calories better than just jogging. When working out, focus on big muscle groups. The biggest are legs, back, chest and abs. Every pound of muscle you gain burns about 50 calories a day so gaining some muscle will help burn calories. Hope this helps. Best of Luck!

when you go on a diet you have to make sure the diet is sensible and enough to keep you energised, id say a healthy diet for losing flab/weight is around 1200-1500 kcals, anything higher is not classsed as a diet and anything lower is classed as a eating disorder..you need to be eating 1200 kcals a day of healthy foods first no junk! so basically ditch chocolate,cake,crisps,chips,burgers,etc. for a while
a good 1200 kcals should be made up of proteins, healthy carbs, and healthy fats
so for proteins have things like, chicken,fish,steak,eggs,
for healthy carbs have, fruits, veggies, pasta, NO WHITE BREAD
for healthy fats eat nuts and seedsso here is a diet which you can lose up to 2-3 pounds a week with try it for a month or so n you will see results if you dont try someone elses diet but give this diet a chance as im a professinal fitness trainer and dietition.
for breakfast: 50 grams of mixed nuts, or 50 grams of seeds
for lunch: a bowl of fruit, or a bowl of veg
for dinner: any source of protein, so basically a source of meathere are the totals:
breakfast: 600 kcals, 20 grams of proteins, 5 grams of carb, 50 grams of healthy fats
lunch: 200 kcals, 1 gram of protein, 10 grams of carb, 1 gram of fat
dinner: anywhere between 200-400 kcals, anywhere between 20-50 grams of protein, around grams of carb and 5 grams of fatmake sure you do a 30 minute run every few days aswell to speed weight loss up

Studies have shown that an 8-inch stalk of celery contains approximately 6 calories. But the mere act of digesting said stalk burns more than 6 calories, resulting in a negative caloric intake. And there are others.
