Losing weight isn't really what you want to look for though, since muscle weighs more than fat & you might gain some muscle if you are just starting to workout.       Ephedrine is a potent fat burner but also dangerous and subsequently is now banned by the FTC or FDA, its banned anyway! :)

      Other fat burners that you can buy are CLA and green tea. They are available in any health food store and actually have some scientific evidence of fat burning ability.

      Don't waste your money unless your diet is already perfect and your exercising regularly.

    Does anyone have any personal experience using a fat burner/lean muscle builder?
    I have recently started the Atkins diet. It has worked wonders. I'm 5' 10" and my starting weight was 210. In the last month I have lost 20 lbs. I would like to lose 30-40 more. My concern is that I may be losing the weight a little fast and I'm worried about my skin sagging and not toning up. I go to the gym and focus mostly on cardio. I go 4-5 times a week for 40 minutes on the elliptical trainer. I try to do weight training exercises 2-3 times a week.

    Most of my weight is in my tummy area and by the time I'm done losing most of my weight I don't want any loose areas.

    I've heard that whey protien works but am unsure about which product to use. I definitly don't want to gain any of the weight back by taking a supplement.

    Can anyone suggest a fat burner or a lean muscle builder supplement I can take along with my diet and exercise program to help eliminate "sagging" and help tone the right areas? especially my tummy.....

      Whey protein shakes are great if you're trying to drop body fat (remember bodyfat % is more important than pure weight alonge). The whey protein will help you keep/build the lean muscle and as long as you use whey protein (i.e. not ready-made shakes filled with sugar) then it's a great addition to your 'real' food that you should be eating as well (i.e. chicken, fish, other lean proteins, nuts, etc.). You can use any high quality whey (Optimum Nutrition is a good kind to try - lots of flavors to choose from as well).
      Try any thermogenic fat burner. These improve your energy and help your body metabolize (i.e. burn) fat when your body temperature rises. The ones I recommend trying are Hydroxycut Hardcore and Ripped Fuel. Take one dose prior to your workout as it will help provide you energy as you are eating lean as well. Read the instructions and don't exceed the recommended dosage. (one note: i've found that with Ripped Fuel 5x i need to eat a little something (like piece of fruit) after taking it or my stomach feels a little weird).

      Fat burners don't work and ALL supplements for burning fat and building muscle are scams. I don't have the space here to explain all the details so I'll just stick to protein.

      Your body does not store protein. So, a protein supplement can only benefit you if your diet is deficient in protein. And, if it is deficient, fix the diet. Eat food.

      There is no such thing as a fat burner pill.
      Some contaon caffeine which can make you a bit more alert for a while. Cheaper to have a cup of tea or coffee.
      Some have a diuretic or laxative - cheaper to eat fruit and again a cup of tea or coffee.
      The only thing that really burns fat is movement, exercise combined with a sensible diet.

      All the pill peddlers tell you to do this as well as take their rubbish - you do the work, they pocket your money

      Almost all of them have basically the same junk in them so its best if you take a couple weeks off and then start taking them again. I use ALRI Venom Hyperdrive 3.0 and I like it, so you might want to give it a try.

    I have been taking it for a week now and sometimes I feel a little sick on my stomach if I don't drink enough water with it. I have noticed a decrease in my appetite after the first week.       I got mine off ebay as well and took it for about a month. honestly, after the first week or two, its effect starts to wear off and i ended up making up for the time lost eating! i'm back to dieting and exercising the old-fashioned way. diet pills only slow down your metabolism anyway, so you would be better off putting in the effort. i feel your pain though, weight loss is not the easiest thing in the world! just eat five small meals a day as opposed to three larger-portioned meals. make sure to eat a lot of fiber to keep regular. also, try a cleansing product. you can pick one up from a health food store. they will help you to feel a lot lighter and healthier, and you could probably lose a few pounds as well. i've used "ultimate cleanse" - not sure what they have where you live. hope that helps!

I bought the kit at kohls with the body ball weighted ball and resistance bands. I have cut out all sweets and eat whole grains and lots of vegetables, fruit and protein.       Don't waste your money.
      The quick answer is that none will make any significant difference to your fat burning. If you really want to burn fat try a decent fat loss diet and workout programme

    I'm 100lbs over weight! Help?
    I've been trying to lose weight for a while now, (I'm 25) and I've been overweight all my life. Now I'm just tired of basically missing out on life....and hot boyfriends too. Every time I try I fail, despite the fact that I know what to do to lose weight. I just lose motivation and give up, very bad habit.

    I have been looking at bodybuilding.com transformation stories and they are very inspiring and I will try to use those as motivation (not trying to be a bodybuilder or competitor tho). They were amazing!

    I need some advice on one issue tho. Most of the women (and men) who have lost fat have taken fat burners and suppliments. Should I try that with my exercise program too, because many of the women said they were REALLY motivated by the way the fat melted off and thier muscles gave their bodies shape.

    Since it's hard for women to lose fat as quickly as men, should I consider taking a fat burner as extra boost, or hydroxicut? If that actually does work well with weight training and diet, I'm sure that would help me stay motivated.

    Women Muscle Gain Supplements?
    I am a 19yr old college student. I work-out at home and I am prepping myself for the P90X home workout system. The thing is, I need to lose at least 10 pounds before I can do it so I do not stress old injuries as much. I do a lot of kettlebell, plyometrics and get in as much cardio as i can. I am not looking for a quick fix but looking for the best that money can buy as I do not want to spend my money on something that is useless and will never work. I have tried SlimQuick and Xantrex and such, but none worked. I was also on a Rapid Ab Cut type product but i cannot handle all the caffeine and ephedra that it was pumping into me. I would like something that is geared towards women. Something that is a muscle builder/enhancer as opposed to strictly a fat burner. And something I can pick up at WalMarts, GNC or a health food store. I do not order anything offline and not from other countrys.

I run about 1-10miles in a day. I do about anywhere between 30-50 pushups, tricep dips, etc a day. and about 300 crunchs and 100 situps. I am not seeing the results that should be seeing as i have a slower metabolism and my body just has lower levels of everything. My docter recommended to talk to a "professional" at GNC or other health centers like it, but i would like to go in with some knowledge of at least a few products in there, or say without a doubt what supplements/vitamins/minerals that i want

      have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
      have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
      cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
      dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
      ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
