aside from the obvious eating right, and exercise, you have to know what that is to do it.whole grains (pasta, cereal, bread) i eat shredded wheat n bran with non fat milk, its the healthiest breakfast option i have found. whole grain pasta is good with newmans own marinara sauce, it tastes good and is healthy.
fruits (plums, mango, kiwi, apples, grapes) make it fun and get new fruit that tastes good.
veggies (avocado, tomato) pack these on a sandwich (no cheese it has refined carbs and a lot of saturated fat). i get cans of veggies so if i am feeling like eating something bad i open up the can of veggies and eat it real quick and i just ate something good instead of something bad and im not hungry anymore.
lean meats and fish (chicken, turkey, salmon, tuna) not fried, no skin.
dairy (nonfat milk, nonfat cottage cheese) dairy can be tricky because if you're not careful you can consume a lot of saturated fats. eggs for example contain a lot of saturated fats and cholesterol in the yolk. i will just cook the white part and make a sandwich out of it.
you are supposed to get 32g of dietary fiber a day and along with protein is essential for weight loss. on like a box of shredded wheat n bran it will say there is 8g per serving, look above that where it says servings per container for example if it said 2, there would be 16g in the whole box (theres more im just making an example). also look for low sugars, unless it is fruit you probably don't want foods high in sugar. be careful of too much sodium as well. and most of off saturated fats. some fats are good and healthy, monosaturated fats, and polyunsaturated fats are good for you, however like anything else you dont want to overdo it.
also exercise and drink 64oz of water a day, is the recommended intake of an active person. make exercise fun, go swimming, skateboarding, play basketball, go to the gym. resistance training (weight lifting is the best for losing weight) because for every pound of muscle you gain that pound of muscle eats 50 more calories a day just to stay alive, without doing anything.
i personally eat extremely healthy 5 days a week and on the weekends i do whatever i want, and i exercise 4-5 days a week. some people choose to eat sparingly bad throughout the week but mostly good while exercising. whatever works for you.

you can become vegan or veggitarian. those really help but u don't get meat so that wood kinda suck haha. I would start out by cutting all drinks except water from your diet. this makes a huge difference. also, try drinking two glasses of waTer before each meal. this will make u eat smLler portions. if u have a reusable wAter bottle, I would keep that near you at all times, and when you feel like snacking, drink from it. u can make a '10 gulp rule' which is when you have to drink 10 gulps of the water once it touches your lips, before u can put it down. try determining if you are eAting out of hunger or boredom. if ur in a snacking mood, drink 2 glasses of water, and usually you forget that you were in that mood to begin with. You can lose that weight by restricting your starch intake (going low carb - cut out the bread, etc in your diet) and eat mainly protein, cheese sticks, etc. You need to exercise - do an hour a day - running, jumping jacks, tae bo - anything - just move your body. When I was younger, I lost 40 pounds over 2 months, but it's all about how bad you want it. You are really going to have to concentrate on it. I'd skip the diet pills - you really don't need them!

Well first off eat well. You don't have to go on a stupid diet just stay healthy! Don't drink soda or anything.
Then do lots of cardio because that is was burns the fat and burns it faster. Plus if you do it in the morning your metabolism will work better throughout the day.
Then do lots of strength training the more muscle you have the more calories you burn just being alive. I thinks its called you resting metabolic rate. Firstly, you look fab in your pic! Secondly, I have the same problem and I've learned that eating very little is as bad as eating too much. Your body begins to think it's being starved and therefore keeps fat in reserve and won't burn it. I lost 5lbs in three days by eating lots and lots of fresh fruit, only brown bread, and cutting out all chocolate and crisps. I also made sure I didn't go over the recommended daily 2000 calories for a woman. Try drinking peppermint tea if you're bloated and hot water with lemon juice in the morning (it's not pleasant, but it helps detox your body). Fruit is definitely my key - it fills me up, especially a banana and gives me energy to do some exercise. Don't put yourself down because I think you look really pretty in your pic! Good luck!

Regardless, you might want to try some mild weight training to build a little bit of muscle mass -- muscle is the best thing for burning off fat. Just make sure you do your research and learn how to do it right before jumping in. Most people do it wrong and they derive no benefits whatsoever.
Walking is definitely good exercise but at your age your body might want something a little more strenuous. The 3 - 6 meals a day part sounds good and it looks like you're trying to get a good amount of variety into your diet.
Above all, keep a positive attitude and don't fret too much. Bodies go through tons of changes at your age.
EDIT: In response to your added details, I'll point out that I've seen some hideous looking people in swimsuits. You can't look worse than them. If you swim laps on a regular basis you will find yourself looking better and better... stop worrying what others think and do what is best for you!

I will not starve myself, I am not stupid. I am also not lazy therefore I want to incorporate both healthy eating and exercise into this weight loss. I want to lose this weight fast to be a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding, and I also want to keep it off following that. I am of average weight but have gained 20 lbs in 2 months due to my current antidepressant, and want to return to my normal weight. I am active and eat fairly healthy, although I do eat junk food at times like most people. I am willing to do a crash diet or cut my calories way down. Even try diet pills as long as they're effective and not dangerous!

Hi Daigle,You are obviously in the right mind set when you thought of losing weight fast healthily. I, too, wanted to slim down fast in time for my sisters wedding because I was the maid of honor. While it's not recommended to lose that many pounds in 2 weeks, it is achievable. You can think of healthy dieting afterwards, but for the mean time you can try these tips. It helped me, it might work for you too.
1. I drank slimming teas at night. The result is I had to go to the bathroom at lunch time the day after..
2. I did not eat after 6pm. It's called after 6-diet which is very effective. I sleep earlier so I don't get tempted to eat at night.
3. Of course, I wake up early and jog around our village. Plus, I do jumping rope..it can easily make sweat plus it's like an overall exercise since my hands and legs are all working..
4. I eat less. I eat whatever I want but in lesser portions. I stay away from rice..
5. I eat lots of fruits! Highly recommended every after meal - mix of watermelon, papaya, pineapple, and mango!
6. I drink 2000mg of vitamin C everyday. It actually helps in speeding up my metabolism.
7. I drink fresh calamansi/lemon juice every morning.
Of course, there are more that you can do. But the key here is to be consistent. After 2 weeks, you can try to only use at least 2 of these..

I am on this fantastic diet which isn't like a diet at all, it gives you a day off each week to eat whatever you want, you are never hungry (can snack every hour if you want to) and it is very easy to stick to. You lose weight pretty fast if you stick to it, especially at the beginning, plus it stops you craving sugar and carbs after a very short time. Best of all you don't need to do more than a half hour of walking each day. No vigorous working out (it actually works better if you don't work out hard). I sometimes don't even do that and it still works. I've lost 36 kilograms (about 79 pounds) since the first couple of weeks of the new year, and I haven't really stuck to it verbatim, so I don't think you can get much faster or better than that. It's all about the type of food you eat and when. Happy to fill you in on the details.

You don’t need to read a 4,000 page book, you don’t have to buy a tape series, you don’t need to stay up late at night to watch infomercials to understand this basic premise. It’s 100% true.2 Change your lifestyle. If you’re calling this a “diet,” then you’re going to gain all the weight back (and more) within a few months of losing it. Diets do not work. Diets are temporary. When you change your dietary lifestyle, however, you’re changing your habits - and you’re putting yourself on track for long-term / continued success and weight maintenance. Don’t ever tell anybody you’re on a diet - ever. I’m speaking from experience, here - a reformed low-carber. Worked out well for a while, but ultimately failed because my entire lifestyle didn’t change (permanently).
3 Join an online support group. In my case, I created my own - FatBlasters. It’s essential that you not feel alone, and reaching out to friends (new or old) is typically a smart move. You want them to help you get to your goal(s). You want them to share in your happiness when you’ve made it past a certain mark. Who knows? Maybe some of your new habits will rub off on them and they’ll become healthier people, too?
