This diet means i have to drink two milkshakes which are made up of slim fast powder mixed with skimmed milk & a main meal. I can also have snacks but i rarely get hungry during the day. This is a calorie controlled diet. I also exercise for about 1hour a week ad i have a busy schedule.

    My diet plan:
    1 milkshake for breakfast.
    1 slim fast cup of soup for dinner OR 1 milkshake.
    A main meal for example jacket potato or salad with rice & chicken etc...

    Is anyone else on this diet? Can anyone else give me some tips or advice?
    How long will it take for me to loose weight on this diet? Does it actually work?

      Seems like a very small amount of food, I'd eat more small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism up.

      1 hour a week of exercise is not enough though, you should get your heart rate up for at least 30 minutes a day.

      when I recently ordered it online I paid .97 for a sample bottle and no where on the website did it say that in 21 days I was going to be charged for what they sent. And when they automatically billed my credit card I was upset because there was no disclaimer and to get my refund I had to pay an extra to return the product. So, after all this I never had the chance to try it... My bank (BofA) said that this is a common scam and that their fraud department is trying to help people with this problem because Acai Berry suppliers end up billing your cc monthly but then never send the product after the first time. Thankfully the bank refunded my money immediately.

      As far as diets go, I have had great success with drinking at least 8 bottles of water a day and power walking for 45 minutes. I lost at least 30 pounds from basically detoxing with the water and then burning the calories off with walking. Counting calories can work well and for serious dieter's it's best to keep your daily intake to 1200 at the max. Models that want dramatic weight loss will do 500 calories a day... but when you are working out I feel it's ok to eat more to keep your energy up. Steamed veggies, fresh fruit and light protein with a few carbs mixed in is best.

If that is the case, follow these healthy tips and you will achieve your goals. But please don't lose more than you should or you won't have any energy!

      Nutrition is the key because if you don't develop healthy eating habits you will lose muscle instead of fat and your weight will yo-yo for most of your life (I speak from experience on this!) Here are some tips to get you started:

      Drink a lot of water (8 - 10 glasses) - water keeps you hydrated and burns fat!

      Never drink soda unless it is diet (regular soda has tons of sugar)

      Try not to eat after 8 p.m. (late night snacking can be your downfall as you have no opportunity to burn it off)

      Eat as much natural food as you can (fruits and veggies are way better for you than processed snacks and they make you feel full longer)

      Fill baggies with healthy snacks so whenever you are hungry, it is easy to eat the right things (examples: grapes, air popped popcorn, celery, etc.)

      Easy workout tip I picked up from The Biggest Loser: do jumping jacks during commercials when you are watching tv. During an hour show you can burn 300 calories doing this!

      Keep a food/exercise log and write down everything you eat and drink and record your workouts. It helps you become aware of your habits and if you are still unsatisfied with your progress you can show it to your doctor and they can see where the problem is.

      Buy a scale that measures bodyfat as well as weight. Remember: losing weight is not your ultimate goal, losing fat is! If a scale is not in your budget, use a measuring tape to record your measurements once a month.

    The seamstress says I need to lose 40 lbs - in 3 weeks - or shell out another 0 for a dress I hate anyway. I want to lose weight and know if I get down to a size I don't feel so miserable with I'll start going to the gym again and keep the weight off.
    I do not want to do anything surgical or dangerous like weight loss drugs that damage your heart but will change type and proportions of what I eat, how often I eat, exercise, safe weight loss products, etc.

      Get a personal trainer! I've only been working four days and I've lost six pounds! Drink lots and lots of water! No pop, tea, just WATER! two proteins a day three veggies and two fruits, one starch, three carbs, one fat. WORKS I SWEAR! my mom has been on for six days with this and has lost seven pounds...without exercise...so with exercises you could be up to maybe 10 a week....and if you really kick your butt then you could lose your 40...if you can't get it all off then you could always use a corset. There is also a treatment called Lipodissolve...it's not a surgery. Medical spa's offer it...i don't know if you you're willing to shell out the money but it's better than having to get a new dress!       It makes sense that with a busy schedule it's hard to find time out of your day to exercise or make something, but the main thing to focus on when it comes to your weight is actually your diet more than your exercise. Exercise is good for muscle and toning, plus it makes for a healthier lifestyle by staying active, but your diet is very important. My coach told me that in the morning, you need to eat something at least to get your metabolism going, then you can eat a regular lunch and then for 'dinner', divide it into two small meals. This prevents you from eating too much for a last meal, but also to prevent your body from going into starvation mode when your body will cling to anything you eat when it is in that mode. When you grab quick food to eat, make sure you have healthy snacks around like granola bars or fruit and veggies. For meals, just make sure you're making the right choices. Sometimes it sounds easy, but it takes time to implement an idea like a new diet when you're so used to something else or just don't want to.
      Plus, just don't eat more than necessary, like snacking too often or just plain overeating. It's hard for me to reiterate what my coaches would tell me because they know more than me, but this seriously helps more than you know.

      Sweetie, eating healthy and exercising is the only way to lose weight and not gain it back. That is, if you care at all about your health and well beingl. I suppose if you do meth the rest of your life you could keep the weight off, like the guy bellow me suggested. But then you'll have a load of other problems on your plate as well, all just to knock out the one. Is it really worth it?

      Using a diet product or "pill", which I'm assuming your talking about, WILL make you gain all the weight back PLUS ten pounds, once you stop taking it. Not only is it not healthy, its a huge scam. Which simply says right there that's not the answer.

      If you want to honestly lose weight, and are serious about it, the only right way to do it is to exercise regularly, and develop a healthy way of eating. The opposite of what you were doing before (aka the reason your overweight). Your simply reversing what caused you to be in the position you are now.

      If you don't like to exercise that's fine. All it takes is walking. Preferably 45 minutes a day, or every other day. Go at your own pace. You will lose weight fast if you combine that with a healthy consumption of food. Not to mention, you will have more energy, stamina, better skin, and over all better well being. Your supposed to be active anyway. Do you think you were meant to do nothing but sit on the couch all day?

      Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and drink lots of water. Water is a must for losing weight.
      If you have to have the sweets, limit them to once a week. But don't splurge too early, or you can throw off your weight loss. People that have been eating healthy and exercising for a long time can virtually go a whole day eating junk and not gain a pound.

      I recommend you stop eating 3 hours before you go to bed. That normally means around 6 or 7pm. This is so your body gets its chance to digest all its food, and not have the chance to turn it into fat cells while you sleep.

      If you do these simple things you will lose weight fast, and never gain it back again.

    Chronicle weight loss in 28yr Gelding… Help needed FAST?
    My old boy is 28yr old, and in the last 3-5 weeks has lost an obscene amount of weight. At the moment it doesn’t look good, and am thinking of putting him down if he doesn’t gain some weight fast.

    1. First thing I did was having his teeth floated, as he was due. Done about 2 yr ago.
    2. Wormed him early just in case
    3. Called vet to him, who took blood work, sent off to lab kidney and liver are in great condition for his age.
    4. He doesn’t have a great appetite ATM. which vet is worried about the most. Took him out for fresh green grass yesterday ate for 40 minutes then stopped and stood there.
    5. His poo varies from nuggets to a bit sloppy. Have notice in poo he has had boot worms which are coming out.

    I have kept him in the stock yard so I can feed him twice a day. However you look at his mate who is only 2 years younger and there should be plenty of food in paddock + they eat fresh cut maze meant for cows, but they push there way through to eat it.
    His feed list ATM is as follows:-
    3-4 scoops of chaff
    1-2 scoops of pollard (very sloppy)
    ½ scoop of malaises
    1-2 biscuits of Hay
    Carrots
    Today added Hygrain Micrbarley – after vet instruction to add some oats or barley to feed.
    Also picked up some Equifeed Protein Plus which is a rich source of human grade protein, which assists in building body mass and muscle.

    We have started cutting/slicing up carrot really small and putting it in his food, as he only seem to show interest in them. But can too many carrots affect him in bad way???
    We notice then he would tip bucket over and pick out the cut up carrots, so now have put his bucket on the gate so it can’t be tipped over. He will have to eat most of his food to get at carrots, which in theory should help him put on weight.

    Am really worried about him, and don’t want to have to make the decision to put him down. Am currently 7month pregnant with 4th child, which doesn’t help but I am not letting that get in way of my care for him. It’s the emotional side which is worrying me if I do have to make that call, ‘cos I won’t let him go by himself. I will be there until his heart stops beating if I am the one who decided to stop it.
    Vet has said he needs to put a lot of weight on before the winter hits, other wise he won’t make it thought.
    Does anyone have any advice or can suggest a fast working product that will help his appetite??

      don't starve your self if your body is different. unlike skinny people if your are chunky the fat that is already on you could build more since its used to storing what you eat. but laxatives will help if that applies to your weight .if you are thin staying away from sugars like soda and sweets and salt will help, i loose 15 pounds in two weeks with veggies and fiber supplements and vitamins to keep me from getting malnutrition.

    So I'm going to be 18 here in a couple months. I'm about 5'1 & weigh a little over 165. Now for me that is tooo big. I gained the weight after I switched medications. The doctor said I would gain a little weight, but only around 5 to 10 pounds.. Well in the end I gained about 25.
