Don't let anyone tell you, that there are high carb meal plans to lose weight out there, because there aren't. The good meal plans are always low carb.

The second aspect, you should watch out for is the metabolic aspect. There are several nutrients and nutrial combinations, that are able to speed up your metabolism, so that it is able to burn fat faster, than usual even in situations in which you eat stuff like cheeseburgers and french fries. There are quick diets and long term diets, that are able to increase your metabolism, but what you have to watch out for is a good combination of proteine and carbohydrate.

Very one-sided meal plans can help you lose weight, but you'll gain it all back after you stop. The atkins diet is a good example for that. You don't get any carbohydrate on the atkins diet, but you can have as much proteine as you want, so you end up eating chicken only, without anything else, but as much of it as you want. As soon as you achieve your goal, you'll wanna have a slice of bread to your chicken and BAM - you gain everything back in weeks. This shows you, that one-sided diets are not, what you're looking for if you wanna achieve sustainable results, so watch out for diet plans, that contain every nutrient, that your body needs in a good combination.

A good way to start losing weight, is to just start having proteines and only proteines for breakfast. This way you might not be able to lose weight, but at least, you can eat up to 2500 carbs a day without gaining weight, if you just stick to this plain and simple rule. Your breakfast should look like this to create a good fundament for losing weight: two, or three eggs for breakfast. Eggs only, nothing else. You can prepare them in any way you want, you just have to be careful to not eat anything else but eggs for breakfast. During the day you can just eat, what you eat usually. Have a look at the effect after about two weeks - you'll be surprized!

So keep the rules in mind, when you look for a good diet meal plan:

1. Your weight loss meal plan has to be low-carb

2. One-sided diet plans like the atkins diet, will show good results, but they're not gonna last.

      Try this, you'll see and feel results in 2-3 days. The muscle will outweigh the fat so don't let the scale discourage you :)

      For exercise, try switching it up (Monday work on arms, Tuesday work on stomach, Wednesday work on legs, Thursday Rest, Friday Arms, Saturday Stomach, Sunday Legs) though you can choose your own schedule/plan. Try maybe using different machines for stomach or legs or arms so your body doesn't get used to it. Also, try increasing the amount of exercise you do every week.

      For eating, try portion control (70% of your diet is food intake but exercise is also important) eating the serving size and if there is no designated serving size, 1cup if it's a meal and 1/2 a cup if it's a snack.

      Breakfast- Whenever you choose
      Drink of choice- hour after breakfast (all other drinks being water; one cup of drink of choice)
      Lunch- 1hr after Drink of choice
      Snack- 1/2 cup, 1 hour after lunch
      Dinner- 2 hours after snack

      It doesn't matter WHAT you eat unless you're on a specific diet such as Atkins, it's mostly just How MUCH we take in and how OFTEN we take it in. I have problems with over-eating and I'll eat an ice cream, oh I want another and it's not b/c I'm hungry it's b/c I have a craving for it and it feels like I can't wait. Also, eating out of boredom, try drinking water often to prevent hunger. I also have this problem and especially when I'm exercising. (Try buying a treadmill or a few exercising supplies or maybe you can get a gym subscription) and bring with you in an insulated glass/mug full of ice b/c I always and alot of other people always want a little something to feel like their eating or munching on and this is perfect b/c it's hydrating and you get the little munch out of it.
      Also, how I said about buying some equipment or gym subscription, I'd recommend you buy your own that way you pay a little extra and the rest is free not 1/2 the price every month or whatever. Try buying about the things (one for legs, one for stomach, one for legs and maybe as you get more into, you could add more). Also, if you lift weights try increasing the amount of weight each weeks or two. :)

      Now, I have the same problem as you few years back.
      The first thing you should know : DO NOT GO ON A DIET

      It does not work! It'll only make you gain more weight. Trust me, it's proven all over the world

      Number two: BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU EAT
      Foods that are high in sugar or fats should not be taken at all!

      Try the Atkins diet! I've been on it for about 2 and a half months now (I've turned it into a lifestyle change), lost 21lbs, and never felt better. I'm 5'10, started out at 192lbs and am now 171lbs. I'm literally 6lbs away from my goal in just 2 and a half months :)
      Our bodies are capable of living without carbohydrates or other various forms of sugar so what this diet does is cut them out. For the first 2 weeks, you don't eat any carbs.
      Some examples of carbs are:
      Bread of any sort
      Pasta
      Desserts of any kind
      Fruit (complex sugars)
      Basically for the first two weeks, you're living off of meat, cheese, eggs, and vegetables. You can get this thing called "Induction Flu" where you'll feel tired, fatigue, irritable, and nausiated but it passes about 3-7 days after you begin. It seems rough at first, but after 2 weeks, you start reintroducing carbs back into your body and now suddenly, you're full faster. You don't want as much food as before...even you might find out you're gluten intolerant.

      If you want a simple answer then the key is in restricting your carbohydrates and creating a deficit in your daily calorie intake versus expenditure. The only carbs that you should eat are whole grain foods and vegetables and none in the evening. but.......and there is a big but...................

      Losing that much weight so quickly is not only dangerous but it is also counter productive in the long run. As soon as you start eating carbs again your metabolism will have slowed down so much during your fasting period that you will blow up. Unless you are 100% certain you can avoid carbs forever then complete restriction of carbs is NOT recommended. Many no carb diets will see people lose 10lbs or so in the first few weeks but don't be fooled thinking this is fat...it isn't! It's most water weight. Your body stores 3oz of water for every gram of carbs it consumes.

      The best you can do to facilitate fat loss, is intense brief exercise such as sprinting or resistance training....doing hours of cardio is hopeless no matter what you've read....and having a well balanced and healthy diet. Lots of protein and good healthy carbs such as salad, whole grain foods and green vegetables. Drinking as much water as you can is also imperative.

      When resistance training focus on using heavy weights but under complete control. Eliminate momentum by taken four seconds to both raise and lower your weight. Only do one to two sets per body part and focus of compound movements such as squats and chest presses. Take your sets to failure and this will trigger your body to produce and release more growth hormone. Growth hormone is a key component of fat loss. And don't worry! you won't get all muscular!

      And for all those people here talking about "toning" rather than building muscle...ignore it. There is no such thing as "toning" you can only build muscle and burn fat...two things..."toning" muscle is a made up fallacy. Doing light weights and lots of reps is completely pointless. It's very hard to build muscle especially for a woman so do not be afraid of the heavy weights....it is the only thing that will force your body to change the way you want it to.

      Hey I just went off a water fast. Honestly, it was very draining - mentally and physically. I only lasted about 5 days. My body did feel clean however. I was tired all of the time and I couldn't concentrate on school work. I would recommend you not go on the water fast just because you should be happy and alive on your wedding...not grumpy and tried, like you will be if you fasted.       Make a few additional small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.

      Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can't get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one.

      In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.

      Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don't. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies.

      Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day.

      Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.

      Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body.

      Vary your routines. Don't eat the same number of calories every day (vary your calories from 1400 a day to 1900 or 2000 some days), eat a variety of foods, and do different kinds and amounts of exercise. You will lose weight much more efficiently if you mix things up from time to time so that your body doesn't adjust to any one routine.

      An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.

      Well, the best way is diet and exercise. I'm 5'5" and 120 pounds, I've got to keep fit for Breakdancing. Really, all I can say is.. Watch what you're eating, and try to fit in some running and other daily exercises. Running for about 20 minutes 5 times a week isn't all that bad. It works for me. Trust me, I was so lazy a year or so back. Once you get into it, and you see the pounds dropping, you'll be all for it.
