Learn The Fast Way To Lose Weight

Diet And Weight Loss

Excess is definitely not just a cosmetic problem. People who are obese are at greater risk of developing health problems like heart disease, diabetes, stroke and more. What is alarming is that the rate of people becoming obese today is reaching epidemic proportions. While we can attribute this trend to numerous factors like a sedentary lifestyle, fast-food chains and overeating – the ultimate reason why obesity exists is because many of us choose to do nothing about it.

The Source of Our Obesity Problems

Obesity becomes an increasingly serious threat as we age. For people over 35, the chances of becoming ill with any disease increases two-fold if you are obese. But the problems for obese people start at a very, very young age. Obese children can get diabetes, high-blood pressure, and liver disorders. Moreover, obesity has been observed to affect the psycho-social well-being of children – with many of those brought to clinics diagnosed with a mild form of depression.

In most cases, obesity is not caused by genes. Rather, it's caused by an improper lifestyle. The prevalence of junk food, high-calorie snacks and fast-food chains contribute much to our problems. Moreover, children and adults are increasingly becoming more sedentary, watching television or playing with video games instead of getting out.

Weight Loss is a Course of Action

There is no doubt about it; obesity is a severe form of weight problems. People should not wait until they are obese before they do something. It is important that they do lose weight. However, to get a cure, you must first know the cause of the ailment. If you are not active enough, then a stringent exercise routine is often prescribed. If you have bad eating habits, then a diet program is what you need. Many times it's a combination of a lot of things, including psychological difficulties.

Dietary programs vary a lot. However, one thing they all have in common is the omission of saturated fat and simple carbohydrates. Overweight people should consult with a nutritionist to ascertain which types of diet programs will work best for them. Try not to emulate diet programs without asking a professional. Most diet programs are custom made. Just because a diet plan worked for someone doesn't mean that it will work for you.

As for exercise, regularity is the key. If you don't have time to go to the gym, purchasing your own equipment and exercising at home will do just fine. The focus is on aerobic workouts because this type of exercise is best for burning calories. Simple activities like walking or jogging are also great for weight loss. The key, however, is doing these activities routinely.

In many weight loss cases, a lifestyle change is most beneficial. Sometimes it is very difficult to break from a habit. The only way to change your habit is to consciously adjust your lifestyle. For instance, purposefully banning high-calorie foods in the house can force you to eat more healthy meals. Enrolling yourself at a health club, on the other hand, can force you to exercise regularly. Remember that discipline and motivation is extremely important to maintaining a weight loss plan.

  3. QUESTION:
What is your Atkins diet weight loss story?
I want to know stories of success & failure from those on or previously on the Atkins diet, especially those of you that JUST did the diet and didn't exercise. Also, any tips?

Thanks in advance, 10 points for the best, most informative answer!

    • ANSWER:
Nearly 6 years ago, I started Atkins low carb way of eating to just quit gaining weight. I had to get my out of control appetite under control. I never imagined I could LOSE weight without hunger or exercise, since I've become disabled. I never bothered weighing or measuring til I'd noticed that my clothes got huge quick. When my health improved dramatically also, I knew this was my new way of life and since it's eat all you want (of low carb foods) I know I can do this for life.

My personal carb level is low. I am older & disabled & don't move much (or cook much) but I eat all I want of meats, eggs, cheeses, yogurt, fats, green vegetables, almonds, berries, flax seeds, chia seeds, shirataki noodles and other foods. Someone active would have a MUCH higher carb level & can usually include all fruits, beans, whole grain products but not sugar & highly refined carbs in unlimited amounts. As long as you have <9grams carbs per hour, you will maintain insulin control & shouldn't gain weight, no matter the calories.

Most very overweight people have blood sugar & insulin dysfunctions and can never eat carbs as someone with a functioning body can. They make the mistake of going back to the way of eating that made them fat and that is not possible and yes they will gain all weight back if they eat what they ate that made them obese originally. Insanity is defined as doing the exact same thing, in the exact same way and expecting different results.

You can lose more body fat eating protein & fat (don't eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast, eat all you want, but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter & half an avocado a day (for added potassium). Keep the calories high & the fat percentage high, at least 65% of calories. Green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.

The first week is just water weight but fat is lost thereafter if you keep your calories high enough. Otherwise the body will strip it's own lean tissue for nutrition. Although that may look great on a scale it will make it MUCH easier to accumulate fat in the future (since all that pesky lean tissue burning up calories will be gone). The body won't release fat stores if you lower calories below what it needs. It will slow metabolism to compensate & store every spare ounce as fat. If you continue lowering calories, it will continue lowering the set point, til it can survive off nothing & store fat on anything. The body will only release it's fat stores if it knows there is plenty of nutritious food.

Eating carbs while trying to lose body fat is terribly inefficient. When in glycolysis (burning glucose as fuel) you have to lower your calories (which slows your metabolism) & exercise heavily to deplete your glycogen stores before burning body fat.

The core of Atkins program is converting the body from glycolysis (burning glucose as fuel) to ketosis (burning fat as fuel). Dietary fat levels need to be at >65% of total calories, if not, the body will still remain in glycolysis by converting 58% of excess protein into glucose (via gluconeogenesis).

It takes minimum of 3 days to convert a body to ketosis, (but only one bite to convert back to glycolysis). People feel sluggish the first week but most feel better than ever thereafter.

Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) trigger insulin which can store the calories eaten into fat. The more protein the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.

High insulin levels promote inflammation, weight gain, hunger & unbalance other hormones. Controlling insulin levels will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so lean muscle will be gained even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase muscle mass with high HGH levels.

Ground flax seed (2 Tbsp) 1/4 cup water, artificial sweetener, mix in a raw egg - let sit 10 min. to absorb liquid, put some cream cheese in the middle & nuke 2 minutes. Suggested for daily fiber needs.

The first 2 weeks eat several cups a day of (mostly) lettuce & celery, cucumbers, radishes, mushrooms, peppers & more vegetables thereafter - add 5 grams per day additional every week (20 grams day first 2 weeks, 25grams 3rd week, 30grams 4th week etc) til you gain weight, then subtract 10grams. That will be your personal carb level (everyone is different & depends on how active you are.)

Start with meat, fats & salads for 2 weeks and then slowly add in more green veg, wk4 fresh cheeses, wk5 nuts & seeds, wk6 berries, wk7 legumes, wk8 other fruits, wk9 starchy veg, wk10 whole grains. You will learn how your body reacts to different foods.

  4. QUESTION:
Is trident sugar free gum bad for a diet/weight loss?
I'm keeping myself on a diet from no lower than 110 pounds and no higher than 120 *as for my weight and height right now*. I chew trident sugar free gum every day and exercise every day. Some days ill do more exercise than others. Is trident gum *sugar free* bad for your weight loss, diet, health, teeth?

    • ANSWER:
No. I hope your planned weight is healthy for your height, you didn't share how tall you are! If it is, it sounds like you are on the right track, although you want to make sure you are alternating the type of exercise you do-don't work the same groups of muscles every day, they'll burn out and you'll hurt yourself.

But Trident Sugar Free gum is not bad for weight loss. It's actually ADA approved-most of it, you need to check each package though! It is "good" for your teeth, in that chewing gum acts sort of like brushing (NOT a replacement!) if you chew it after eating. Each stick of gum is less than 5 calories, and honestly you do not need to worry about the calories that come from sugar free gum. However, many different types of sugar free gum and candy (including Trident) include a chemical called Xylitol that they use as a sugar substitute, and this can sometimes cause diarrhea, though not often. You should be fine chewing it!

Please specify what brand of you used. How to make the diet easier? Any good recipes and foods to eat with the hCG diet would be helpful as well.

    • ANSWER:
I tried Green Web HCG about 6 months ago and did not have a good experience at all. After sharing my experiences on a weight loss forum someone recommended Pharmaslim HCG and directed me to their blog where they recorded all of they're meals and weigh-ins day by day while using Pharmaslim. I was impressed so i ordered a bottle in April and dropped 25 lbs in the first 42 day cycle. It's one of the only hCG weight loss formulas available that offers a money back guarantee. Highly recommended, just be sure to prepare yourself for the diet, believe me it can be very hard to limit yourself to 500 calories per day.

Lose Weight With These 17 Hot Tips
Some billion dollars is spent on weight loss each year as people desperately search and mistakenly believe ‘the answer’ to looking and feeling good is losing weight.
This may be a popular belief but it is totally false as the majority of the big weight loss spenders are losing their money, not their weight.

The majority of people who try to lose weight use very unhealthy methods that have devastating effects on the metabolism (the body’s engine). In fact, 98% of those people who do manage to lose some weight soon gain it back and end up with a damaged metabolism which makes future weight loss efforts near impossible.

There is a simple concept to lose weight and look good. It happens when you do the right thing and take responsibility for your health and improve it first and foremost. You cannot lose weight to improve your health – you must improve your health and have a healthy metabolism in order to lose weight.

Don’t keep doing what you are doing if it is not working. Here are 17 hot tips that will work better than anything you can purchase:

      1. Have a strength training exercise program firmly in place.
      2. Perform 1-2 interval training sessions each week.
      3. Hire a fitness professional to teach you how to exercise intensely enough to really make a difference to your metabolism.
      4. Do not do any long, slow, steady state activity (walking, jogging, cycling etc). These are recreational activities that are fine as part of an active lifestyle but can never replace a proper exercise program.
      5. Separate interval training and strength training days.
      6. Eat 5-7 times each day.
      7. Have at least 20 grams of protein at each meal.
      8. Make up the balance of your meals with lots of cooked and raw vegetables.
      9. Eat whole natural unprocessed foods.
      10. Space your small meals out every 2-3 hours throughout the day.
      11. Eat within an hour of waking.
      12. Plan your meals, shop and prepare them in advance and take them with you wherever you go so you are not tempted to eat something that will not help you reach your goals.
      13. Plan your workouts in advance and schedule them on your planner or calendar.
      14. Treat these workout times as important appointments and keep your promises to yourself.
      15. List 10-20 benefits that you will gain from becoming stronger, fitter and slimmer and make them your health/fitness/weight loss goals. These goals will then become much more personal and meaningful.
      16. Go over these benefits as often as you need to. This may be daily, weekly or monthly.
      17. You can’t manage your health until you can manage your self which involves managing your time, your energy, your workouts, and your eating plan.

Follow these 17 hot tips and consider yourself successful as this approach to fitness and fat loss will give you an advantage over 95% of the diets and weight loss programs available. Yes you will lose fat but you will also improve your overall health which in turn will improve the quality of your life.

  12. QUESTION:
Best cure/diet/weight loss idea for someone who is Hypothyroid, WITHOUT taking medication?
I dont want to take prescribed meds, so how can i help my thyroid condition naturally? I need to lose weight and increase my energy level.

    • ANSWER:
Sorry, you have to take the prescribed medicine in order for the thyroid gland to function properly. I have had "hypothyroidism" for years, & I have never missed taking my medicine or getting the bloodwork done to check the levels in the thyroid gland. You are asking for trouble, plain & simple, if you don't take the prescribed medicine. Be thankful that you have a condition that can be corrected by taking one pill each day. Many people would envy you. Since you want to lose weight, you can eat healthy & exercise daily. Those two things will definitely raise your energy level. Take the medicine & avoid some serious problems.

  13. QUESTION:
What should you eat throughout the whole day on a diet/weight loss journey?
like everymeal , every detail . . drink and alll

    thank's ( :

    • ANSWER:
Oatmeal. It makes you poop a lot and lose weight pretty fast. If you want to go extreme, use water to cook it, not milk.

Eating just plain oatmeal isn't healthy in the long run. Add nuts, fruits and use milk sometimes.

As for drinks. Water is the best. Truly is.

This is a very effective tip here:

Eat big lunches, small dinners. Eating a big lunch gives you time to burn off those calories. After a dinner? You most likely will be in a bed in a couple of hours, not much time to burn off those fat calories.

And of course, exercise. This is very important. Walk 10 minutes day. Then go for 20 minutes. Then go for some light jogging. You need to exercise to lose weight. There is no magic pill to help you lose weight. The most natural way to lose it...Exercise and eating more effectively.

FORCE yourself to walk/jog everyday, at least 10 minutes...for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, you'll get into a pretty pernament habit of doing this routine everyday. DON'T exercise for 1 day, skip day 2, and promise yourself that you'll do twice as much on day 3. Stick to everyday.

      Hope that helps :)

What's the healthiest diet/weight loss regimen I can put myself on without tiring of it?
I am 300lb., 5'8". I asked the doctor once he said I could get down to about 225 or a little more based on my frame. I tried losing but I always seem to gain more than I lose. I always go back to my sweet tooth also. I tired of the treadmill. I did it for about 3 wks though. It's like sometimes my life is so stressful that I always fall back onto bad habits. How do I break that cycle and get some discipline?

    • ANSWER:
If you want to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you take in. More or less it’s as simple as exercising more and eating less. "Simple" being anything but.

      Three tips to help you.

      1) Don't make any drastic changes to your diet (e.g. don’t suddenly start eating nothing but salads) you'll never stick with a major change. Instead start eating smaller portions of what you're currently eating... but try to cut out sweets, needless carbohydrates (like pop... switch to diet), and excessive red meat. And try not to eat anything 4-5 hours before you go to bed.

      2) Eat those smaller portions more often have small, health snacks (an apple, a granola bar, ect) between your "main" meals. This will boost your metabolism and help you burn more calories. Do not starve yourself or drop to only one meal a day. That would only cause your body to slow your metabolism and store more fat.

      3) Daily exercise. This does not mean you have to run daily until you feel like puking. In fact, if you do that you're burning sugars and not fat. Instead walk briskly (at a speed where you can keep a conversation going, but if you walked faster you'd start getting a touch out of breath), this is called your anaerobic threshold. Below it you're burning fat, above it sugars. At least twenty minutes every day, progress to an hour. Walk outdoors, its beats a treadmill anytime.

What to eliminate from diet for weight loss?
What should i eliminate out of my diet in order to lose the most weight. Any motivational tips?? I am 5ft6in 132lbs, I work out everyday and I havent noticed much weight loss due to my junk food addiction. Any suggestions? What did you do that worked?

    Thanks!
obviously i need to cut out the junk, but what can I replace it with so its satisfying too?

    • ANSWER:
you answered your own question: eliminate the junk food!

you can replace it with these healthy meals: https://shop.tsfl.com/?id=%20&spon_id=30067180

my clients who are on a maintenance/weight loss plan eat regular food and these meal replacements 6x per day, every 2-3 hours. the cheese puffs, pretzel sticks, pudding, bars and brownies seem like junk, but they're actually packed with protein, the right amount of carbs, healthy fats, and 25 vitamins and minerals, all for about 110 calories. And all of the foods have the same nutritional profile - the brownie is just as healthy as the cheese puffs, so you can pick what you like.

They seem expensive at first, but think about how much you spend on junk and how little nutrition you are getting. People who are on the program for weight loss actually save $ because it's redirected, not extra, food dollars. Granola bars from the health food store, which can be equally expensive, are usually nothing more than carbs - oats and sugar or something like that. Seems healthy, but actually not.

it's like giving a dog a vitamin. we're using food that tastes good to give your body nutrition, rather than empty calories in junk.

I was just wondering if water helps you lose weight. Every diet and weight loss plan includes the 'drink lots of water' sentence. If it doesn't, what part does it play apart from being a healthier substitute for soft drinks?

    • ANSWER:
It fills your stomach, therefore you will not be as hungry. There's no sugar or unhealthy elements in water, which makes it the perfect drink to fill your stomach with. Also, it helps flush out toxins and other unwanted products that maybe occupying your digestive system.

When dieting, exercise is also important. In that sense, water helps people stay hydrated. This fact cannot be stressed enough. Not only does it help produce sweat, which cools the body down, but during all exercises, muscles are broken and need to be repaired by the body. Water helps this recovery period so staying hydrated is essential.

  29. QUESTION:
Atkins diet : no weight loss after six days of dieting, what's wrong???
I've been extra careful not to have any carbohydrates and furthermore, I'm eating so much less than what I was used to, and yet, sixth day of diet : weight loss = nill.
I am feling a bit lighter though... I have 3 stones to lose...

    • ANSWER:
It could be all sorts of things.

You may already be at the correct weight for your body, or you don't have much to lose. (How much *you* think you need to lose may not be the same as what your body thinks).

You may be shrinking, even though you're not losing weight, if you are exercising and replacing the fat with muscle.

It could be "that time of the month".

You could be eating a lot of sodium and retaining water.

Do you feel better? That's what counts.

  32. QUESTION:
Where can I find someone to train me & film a documentary on diet & weight loss?
Similar to "I Used to Be Fat", "Made", "Heavy", etc. BUT...I am 35, not a teen like on those MTV shows:) Thanks for your ideas & suggestions. And please no smart a** comments!
Actually...we just moved to another state & I have NO friends. Plus I need it to be someone that can train me...I don't know much about exercising! LOL

    • ANSWER:
Why don't you do it on your own? You must have s friend or two that can film? If you do it right, you might just get some attention!! Go for it!!

******* I would go to a gym, and talk with the trainers. There is a possibility that one of them would like the idea enough to jump in and see where it goes. Other options include a high school gym teacher and some aspiring students willing to have a novel idea to work with. You could put up a flyer in the gym.... there might be a member or two that finds your idea interesting.

  33. QUESTION:
Acai berry and Colon Cleanse weight loss diet...?
Does this diet/weight loss thing work? And does it work if you have different forms of it for instance i have acai berry pills im not sure what kind and i have colon cleanser from vitamin cottage, if i follow the diet plan that the little known dynamic duo diet at http://www.sallystips.com/
will it still work, even if i have different pills?
    thanks

    • ANSWER:
It will not work even if you have the same pills. These "magical" weight loss pills only work to reduce your water weight temporarily. Your weight might be lower on the scale for a while, but you will have the same amount of body fat. Eat healthy, watch your calories and exercise in order to lose weight permanently. Doing things the "hard way" is worth it.

    • ANSWER:
The best diet for losing weight and keeping it off is this 4-step approach to eating:

      1. When you're hungry, eat.
      2. Eat only what you love.
      3. Eat consciously.
      4. When you think you even might be full, stop.

      Here's the explanation:
      1. When your body tells you it's hungry, it's giving you a warning that your metabolism is going to slow down soon. You burn much more calories when you eat small amounts all day every 2 hours or so instead of 1 or 2 large meals. The fattest people I know eat only one big meal at the end of the day. So eat when you're hungry.
      2. You should enjoy eating, it's entertainment. You'll have much more success with a diet if you actually like the foods you eat. Toss out all the diet meals, lowfat and lite crap and replace it with the good stuff.
      3. Be aware of the flavor of every bite. Savor it. Eat slowly, with your eyes closed if necessary. Take reasonable bites, put down your fork or the sandwich between each bite, think about the flavors. Chew each bite at least 25 times. Don't watch TV or read or talk on the phone while you're eating; the food is the entertainment. If you think you love eating, now's your chance to prove it.
      4. As soon as you even suspect you might have had enough, stop eating. Don't worry about being hungry again in half an hour -- if you are, just eat some more!

Bonus tips: walk a little extra today. Then tomorrow, walk a little more than that. Then more, then more. When you feel ready, upgrade to jogging or other active stuff. Everything physical you can do is exercise.

Bonus bonus tip: when you're hungry, always drink water first. Most hunger is actually thirst.

I have a couple of water bottles next to the couch.. each time I sit on the couch I pick them up and lift them up and down.
It is boring and it seems useless to do but if you get used to do it,., after just 20 minutes you will start sweating and your arm will get tired.
Just change arm and carry on, eventually it will become automatic and you might even want to progress to some dumbells, maybe a little bit heavier than the water bottle.

  39. QUESTION:
What is the best diet for weight loss and exercise?
Obviously, I'm trying to lose weight. What should I eat and what should I not eat while trying to reach my goal? What are the best diet methods and such?
Also, what is the best way for me to work out?

    • ANSWER:
To lose weight you should avoid processed foods, fried foods, refined carbohydrates (white bread, white rice, etc.) & sugar sweetened beverages. Processed foods are high in sodium and low in nutritional quality. Instead choose a variety of fruits (avoid fruit juice), vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy, lean meats, fish or other seafood and healthy fats like olive and canola oil. Especially focus on the veggies! They are super low in calories and packed with fiber to help keep you full.

Eat small frequent meals throughout the day and don’t skip meals. Skipping meals can slow down your metabolism and deprive you of needed energy. Eat breakfast in the morning to wake up your metabolism after a long night’s sleep. Also don’t forget to drink plenty of water. Water is necessary to keep your body functioning properly. Staying hydrated helps with digestion, helps control appetite and flushes out toxins.

You may also want to keep a food journal. This will give you a good idea of how many calories you are taking in and can help you identify areas where you need to make changes. The most successful “diets” fit easily into your lifestyle and teach you ways to eat healthier that you can stick with for good. It’s best to make lifestyle changes that can become part of your normal routine. This way you’ll have the best chance at keeping off the weight in the long run.

      Hope this helps. Good luck!

Best diet menu to eat for maximum weight loss?
I'm thinking of starting a weight loss diet and im trying to lose 40lbs.
I have a complete exercise plan but I am still confused on a specific diet plan that will help me achieve maximum weight loss..
Any good menus that have worked with anyone else?

    • ANSWER:
      Hi,

I graduated high school at 240 pounds and at 5 foot 3 that made me about as round as I was tall. I was one of those overweight teenagers who ate anything and everything without any regard to the effects it was having on my own body. Therefore, I began the diet pills, which did not work; I ate the special diet foods and even began drinking diet beverages. None of this stuff worked for me, just as it does not work for millions of overweight people. Eating less did not work and I was not one to work out or even get up and do anything remotely related to exercise. I knew I would look silly and it would hurt. I never thought or really cared about the health effects this would have on me, back then.

A year ago after a successful weight loss plan, now at 120 pounds, it is a major difference. I've lost 30 pounds in the first month. The most significant change in my life is the amount of energy I now have and the way my clothes fit loosely. Everyone close to me and people I haven’t seen in a while are amazed and tell me that I look really good. This is a life changing experience for me although at first I was skeptical about the weight loss plan.

  48. QUESTION:
    What's a good diet/weight loss pill?
What are some good medications to take that could help someone lose maybe 40 pounds, but not have major negative physical and mental health side effects?

    • ANSWER:
Please trust me when I say you don't need a weight loss pill to lose weight. Nobody does.

Every weight loss pill company says to diet and exercise while taking their product. Why, because that is how you lose weight, through diet and exercise.

That is how they get you. They make you believe that it is their product that caused the weight loss when in fact it was actually your hard work. What happens when you don't diet and exercise while taking their product and see no weight loss results.

They say to you, "Well, we do recommend diet and exercise as well". It's a win win situation for them.

Each pill has there own set of side effects and hidden dangers and all have the potential to cause harm. You will not find a single weight lose pill that has no side affects. Why would you take the risk when you can lose weight by simply eating well and exercising. I am not trying to be a scare monger here, but I think you deserve to hear the truth.

There is no magic secret to weight loss. It is all about hard work, commitment, goal setting and desire. If you want to lose weight you can and you will.

This following website gives you the tools you need to develop a healthy lifestyle and maintain it for a lifetime.

  50. QUESTION:
Wheat Free Diet for weight loss and allergies?
I have excema and have heard that a wheat free and poss dairy free diet would help. I also have asthma! Also trying to lose some weight...Any one else heard this or tried for those things? Any info would help also any tips on starting a diet like this would be great. Thanks so much.

    • ANSWER:
There is a possibility that a wheat free diet will help your eczema and this is why. Dermititis herpetiformis (DH) is often misdiagnosed as eczema. DH is a condition that reacts to the gluten found in wheat, rye and barley and things made from these grains. It causes all sorts of skin problems that can look like several different things one of them being eczema.
I had hives for 10 years and have always had skin issues and asthma that all cleared up when I went on a gluten free diet.
The first thing you need to do is get tested for both DH and celiac disease with blood work and skin biopsy and possibly an endoscopic exam. Do Not stop eating gluten until the testing is finished or the tests will show false negatives. After the testing is over and doctor says you have one or the other, go on a gluten free diet. If the testing is inconclusive or negative, you can still try a gluten free diet to rule out non-DH/CD gluten intolerance or a gluten allergy. Plan for 2-3 months on the diet to see results although with skin conditions it can take longer.
How to start a gluten free diet
The easiest way to get started is to eat simply. Clean your kitchen and cookware/dinner ware well and put all of the food containing gluten into a box away from the kitchen so you won't be tempted. You can have all the fresh fruit and vegetables you want, Fresh non-processed meats, fish, chicken, eggs, cheese are all acceptable. Add in potatoes and rice for starches in place of breads, pasta etc. You can use frozen meat and vegetables as long as they don't have any sauces or gravies added. That will give you a large variety of foods that you don't really have to worry about reading the labels on. After you get established on this, then you can start learning the label reading routine, find the gluten free substitutes for whatever you gave up that you are missing and learning to cook with some new ingredients.

That's a pretty long answer and only touches on the highlights so if this raises more questions, contact me through here.
