What you do need to do is make a fundamental, permanent lifestyle change. Cut out the soda, even diet soda. Cut out drive thrus and never eat in your car. Eat food that you prepare yourself, from scratch, using fresh ingredients. Try not to eat meat every day. Eating meat is fine and healthy, but not in the quantities that we typically consume it. Try two new vegetables every week. Some you will hate, some you will like. Keep the ones you like in your diet. I recommend parsnips. They make a great replacement for potatoes. You don't need a colon cleanse, you just need more fiber in your diet. Eat a couple of apples every day, skin included. Hunt around for some good salad recipes that use mixed greens, arugula, fresh spinach, or leaf lettuce. Stay away from iceberg, it is nothing but water. Look for nutrient dense, calorie light foods. I am not going to lie to you, you are going to probably end up spending more on food than you do now, for less food, but the food you eat will be a lot healthier, and it will taste a lot better. Don't 100 percent cut out the things you like. Allow yourself dessert, although no more than once a week. Allow yourself a soft drink, but no more than once a week, and get one that is made with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup.

      Here comes the difficult part: never stop doing this. Diets fail because they are finite. People start them and stop them. True change comes with permanence.

      Eating right is only half of the equation. You also need to increase your level of physical activity. A great way to do this is to get a good, comfortable bicycle and use it for any trip that is three to five miles each way or less instead of your car. You don't have to wear stupid looking lycra clothes, there are plenty of bikes that are designed so you can ride them in your normal every day clothes. You can get bikes with baskets, racks, and bags so you can even carry a week's worth of groceries on your bike. The other advantage to this is that even though you will be spending more on food, you will be spending less on gasoline and car maintenance, so it will balance out.

      It isn't easy at first, but it becomes easier with time. If you can keep it up, you will never want to go back to your old ways.

      There is no science to back the claims that "colon cleanses" work except that they give you diarrhea. First and foremost, there is no "accumulated fecal matter" in your colon. Your body does a tremendously efficient job at removing anything and everything from there. Otherwise, it would be a pool for colonic bacteria to begin multiplying exponentially to the point where they could cause infection.

      All the cleanse does is to a.) mud butt, b.) give you potential electrolyte imbalance, and c.) wipes out all the colonic bacteria - which are beneficial by metabolizing toxins and producing/releasing nutrients, amongst other functions.

      If you are having trouble passing stools use a gentler laxative like psyllium husk or metamucil - better yet, eat more vegetables with insoluble fibers, which add bulk and reduce transit time. Caffeine also has a mild laxative effect by stimulating GI movement.

      yes, it will definitely help in weight loss. You will be taking in less calories first of all, secondly people can store 50lbs easily in fecal matter in their colon. Gross but true. Cleansing the colon enables your body to absorb nutrients more efficiently without reabsorbing the toxins that your body is trying to remove through your bowels. If waste sits too long in the colon the toxins will reabsorb into your body, your body then takes these toxins and stores it in your fat cells to keep it away from your organs. Be prepared that when cleansing like this you will experience headaches and likely fatigue if there is a buildup of toxins in your body.       Hi! My sister is about the same size as you. She's a college student so she has difficulty doing anything that I tell her...that, and she's stubborn, so I'll share it with you.

      1. Exercise, always. What parts of your body do you want to shrink? Look up exercises to work those places. And by exercise, I don't mean a few sit ups here and there whenever you feel bad about your body. You have to work it into your schedule so you can do those exercises every single day. When do you have free time daily? Instead of playing on the computer or just sitting down, do the exercises. I know it's a lot to ask, but if you're really motivated, it'll help shape your life and help you develop some good habits.

      2. Diet. I'm a big fan of exercise, so I've never suggesting dieting by eating less, because eating less also means getting less energy and less nutrients. I suggest looking up some healthy, 2000 calorie a day meal plans. If you exercise, don't be afraid to eat more, because you're going to need the energy. If you eat less or starve yourself, I would imagine your body would feel tired and you would have no desire to exercise.

      3. NEVER, EVER starve yourself. NEVER. When you starve your body, your fat cells are starved too, and the next time you eat, they will gobble up everything they need. When your fat cells get too big, they 'splode and split, then the whole processes begins again and by starving and then eating, you're helping your fat cells grow exponentially.

      4. Diet pills/supplements? I advise against them. If you're still young, you have your entire life ahead of you to develop good habits. You don't need to make yourself dependent on artificially induced diets. If you're chubby now, you're going to be more vulnerable to weight gain later on. Unless you want to use diet pills your entire life, you should learn to do things for yourself.

      5. Money. Dieting is inexpensive if you work hard. You can waste your money on supplements, diet pills, diet programs, whatever, but that's not going to go anywhere. Multi-vitamins are only good if you lack them. Your body can only absorb so much, and if you're taking it when you don't need it, you're basically just paying for really expensive pee.

      Instead of getting snack foods or a burger, both empty calories, save it. Don't let yourself spend too much.

      On the subject of shopping, when you need to go grocery shopping, do it on a full stomach so you're not tempted to buy junk.

      I suggest avoiding pre-cooked meals, they sacrifice a lot in order to taste good. Check the boxes and you'll see that anything that's low in fat is high in sodium, and vice versa. Instead, try cooking food yourself so you know what goes into it.

      Well, I'm out of ideas. I can't offer any miracles, just suggestions, I hope these help!

      Sorry, but colon cleansing is a complete and total waste of time and money - and it can be dangerous.

      The human colon does NOT accumulate fecal material. All the ads that say you can flush out 5 pounds or 10 pounds, or whatever of stuck material are garbage. The muscles in the colon are constantly in motion pushing the contents down the line. If fecal material ever really got stuck, you would have a serious medical problem.

      Enemas and laxatives can cause a very fast weight loss, but it is ALL an illusion, because all you have done is emptied the contents of the colon, as soon as you start to eat, then the colon will contain the waste products again - and the same weight will be there.

      Overuse of either of those can lead to a dependence on them - so you will have to be using them forever. That is not a good situation to be in. Overuse can cause severe disruptions in the body's balance of sodium and potassium. Those are critical elements in maintaining proper body functions, and a serious imbalance can be fatal (really - people have died from this!).

      Save your money and change the foods you eat instead, more fruits and vegetables, more fiber, fewer carbohydrates.

I play soccer 3x a week (practice tuesdays, not very good exercise though, pretty laid back), game on wednesdays (good exercise), and all star practices on fridays (good exercise.) I also have all star tournaments but not every weekend. I volunteer at a camp and we walk to a pool & swim everyday (I don't always swim though.) I don't eat horribly but they could be improved. Whats I'm going to try to do is cut our junk (brownies, cookies, chocolate, chips, ect.) I'm also going to either run or cycle saturdays & sundays for 30-60min. I'm also going to add in some strength stuff (crunches, lunges, squats, ect.) after the run/cycle to tone up. If anyone has any more suggestions for me, that would really help! But please, I don't want people telling me to use acai berry, colon cleanse, starvation diet, or any diets for that matter because I'm doing this the healthy way. Thank you! :)

      Do cardio for 30 - 45 minutes AT LEAST once a day (two times at most).

      You should be eating from 1100-1300 calories per day (a normal person's body burns about 2000 by ITSELF every day, so you are already burning off around 900 calories without exercise).
      Burn about 400 calories through exercise. (45 minutes of stairs usually burns 300 to 400).

      DO NOT MISS ANY MEALS or this will automatically send your body into starvation mode because you are already consuming less.
      You MUST eat every 3 hours to keep your metabolism going fast.
      Though do not "graze" (eating a small amount every half an hour or so) because this will slow your metabolism.

      Breakfast (the most important because it wakes your metabolism up and gets it working fast) should be the biggest meal of the day at about 350 calories and dinner the smallest at 200 calories. Eat breakfast within an hour of getting up in the morning. Snacks should be between 150 - 200 calories and you should eat between two and three snacks per day.
      Breakfast --> Snack --> Lunch --> Snack --> Dinner --> (snack)

      *****I recommend doing your cardio first thing in the morning before breakfast. When we wake up in the morning our body is in a catabolic state. Catabolism means 'the breaking down' of body tissue, this is the optimum time to perform your fat burning exercises as your body is literally in fat burning mode. In addition to this, because you haven't eaten any food before the exercise your body will break down mostly fat in order to fuel your exercise session rather than food in your system. The idea is to leave our body no choice but to burn mostly fat.

      A good breakfast is a 300 calorie (give or take) protein shake.
      I personally recommend getting "muscle milk protein power".

      Next you NEED to drink at least 64 oz of water a day. The more the merrier.

      Lastly, wake up by at most 8 AM and workout about 1/2 hour BEFORE you eat. This will speed up your metabolism for the upcoming day.
      Don't eat for the 3 hours before you go to bed.

      Over view:

      Wake up 8 AM.
      Eat every 3 hours.
      No skipped meals.
      Breakfast = Within an hour of getting up, biggest meal of the day, and before exercise in morning. (Protein shake is GOOD for breakfast!)
      Exercise for 45 minutes in the morning BEFORE eating. [If you want you can exercise again between you 2nd snack and dinner for 45 minutes.]
      Eat 1100 - 1300 calories per day.
      Breakfast --> Snack --> Lunch --> Snack --> Dinner --> (snack)
      Don't eat 3 hours before going to bed.
      Drink 64 oz of water.

      You can lose from 2.5 to 3 pounds HEALTHFULLY in a week.
      If you lose anymore then you will not have lost that weight in fat and you will be damaging your body.
