      I took trimspa for about 2 months and lost almost 20lbs. I cut out all soft drink and caffeine along with it. I am also a full time student and I feel the same way about being too tired to go and work out. There was one problem I had with trimspa was that I got the jitters so I quit taking them. I can't fully contribute the jitters to trimspa because I cut out a lot of sugar and caffeine.

    I tried the Slimquick, I even tried TrimSpa, but stopped taking them soon after. Trimspa still sits in my closet i took like 4 of them. Slimquick i used a whole bottle of, bought another one, went through half and then stopped because i wasn't sure if they would interact with medications that i started taking at the time. I can say i was pretty satisfied with the results slimquick gave me. Still I would like to see what other options I have. The cost is also a concern, simply because I'm not rich and can't afford to spend 0/month on weight loss pills. A friend of mine [body builder] swears by Hydroxycut.       Last year I was visiting my parents and took diet pills on top on my exercise routine and normal diet. I was 26 at the time, 5'11, 180 lbs. By week three I was sick. I had diarrhea, dry heaves, dizziness, headaches, and a general feeling of being sick. I thought I had caught the flu or something. I had lost 13 lbs in 4 days. One morning I told my mom I didn't feel good. My vision kept blacking out and I felt (for lack of a better way to say it) stoned. Later that afternoon I was walking from the bathroom to my bedroom (a 5 foot walk) and I passed out. I was rushed to the hospital emergency where they did a bunch of tests on me.

      My pulse was up to 120, My blood pressure was 150/40, they had to start me on an IV, the did an EKG on me, took blood and urine samples, and a whole barrage of other tests.

      They finally got me stabilized and said that I was dehydrated and malnutritioned. I told him that I took diet pills. When I mentioned diet pill, the doctors face lit up and said that's why. He said they can cause a whole bunch of health problems, including death. He told me to toss the diet pills or next time I might not be so lucky.

      I was kept in the hospital for almost 10 hours, given 3 or 4 IVs, potassium, juices, and monitored (by the EKG, blood pressure, and heart rate machines) every 15 minutes.

      Please take my story as a warning. If you seriously want to loose weight there are better ways (I know because I've lost weight after this)

      The quickest way is to cut out red meats, starches, breads, sugars, alcohol, and sodas.

      Eat veggies (salads are good), soups, and drink TONS of water. If you get hungry between a meal, drink water to fill up.

      In moderation eat white meats, and fruits (fruits contain natural sugars, and that can put on weight)

      Practice portion control. Yes, you'll feel hungry at first, but think of your goal, and soon your stomach will start shrinking and you won't have that feeling anymore.

      Eat 5 times a day. A small breakfast. A mid-morning snack, such as an apple. A small lunch. A mid-afternoon snack, such as carrots. A lite dinner. Do not eat any later than 7pm (6pm is better.)

      Go exercise for at least an hour a day, incorporating weight training. Weight training builds muscle. Muscle burns fat. You get the idea. It also gives tone and definition. Also do a few yoga and pilates exercises to help tone those hard to reach and stubborn areas.

Also, it only works if you eat a diet with a fair amount of fat in it. I eat a low-fat diet so I found that it wasn't that effective for me.     I live in a very small town, and the only gym in town has a monthly fee, so that's not an option. I can't afford to buy a stroller, so taking my son for runs or long walks is out. I can't afford exercise equipment for at home, and I definitely can't afford to join a program like Weight Watchers or South Beach Diet. Expensive bottles of pills are also not a luxury that I can afford.

    On top of all of that, healthy foods here in small town Minnesota are very expensive. Fresh fruits and vegetables are insanely costly, and even simple switches from store brand white bread (89 cents) to whole grain wheat bread (.49) really add up and become very hard on my budget.

      I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

      Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

      First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...

      This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.

      However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

You may need to see a therapist about this bad self image and how you can cure it. If you keep thinking that you are fat your body will (unkowningly to you) start gaining weight to match your bad self image! I really can't think of anything to reccomend besides for seeing a therapist to see how oyu can cure your bad self image, because you Are thin! Actually you could start exercising building muscle making you look more fit. Just try strength training (the wii has REALLY good exercises) it will really tone your body!       First of all, Muscle milk is very high in sugars and fats and will make you put on weight. Try going for a higher quality protein powder that is made from whey protein (GNC has tons of them). Creatine is completely safe (assuming you follow the proper dosage) and will help you gain muscle. You may want to look at taking a pre-workout drink as well, such as NO-Xplode or AMP NO Loaded. These have creatine in them already and will give you more energy during your workout. It will be hard to drop that much weight in such little time, but if you push yourself hard enough it is possible. And remember to eat right, especially since you are trying to gain muscle.

      You're probably a healthy weight now, I'm guessing? And you just want to get down to a more fashionably thin weight? In such a case, it's a lot harder to lose weight than if you were trying to go from 200 pounds to 150 pounds. Eating too little in such a case is likely to cause your body to slow down its metabolism because it's in starvation mode. You probably have to eat MORE to lose more weight, not less. That is, 1000 calories/day is too little. You should go up to 1500 calories/day, and then exercise more. This will keep your metabolism up while causing you to burn lots of calories and lose weight. Also, people don't lose 5 pounds in a week. That's totally unrealistic. Only on like the TV show The Biggest Loser do people lose that much. One pound equals 3500 calories. So for every 3500 calories you burn above and beyond your baseline calories, you'll lose one pound.

Pay no attention to weight loss supplements and pills and all the latest fads. You need to think about many factors but most of them are related to issues we've known about for a very long time. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.

      Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.

      Make a few additional small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.

      Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can't get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one.

      In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.

      Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don't. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies.

      Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day.

      Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.

      Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body.

      Vary your routines. Don't eat the same number of calories every day (vary your calories from 1400 a day to 1900 or 2000 some days), eat a variety of foods, and do different kinds and amounts of exercise. You will lose weight much more efficiently if you mix things up from time to time so that your body doesn't adjust to any one routine.

      An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.

    i am 16, almost 17 and i have decided recently that i must lose weight and bulk up some muscle while i'm still young and able to do so. i'm almost 6ft (180cm) and weigh 13 stones (180 lbs/85kg)
    i don't play vigorous sports (i play badminton on tuesdays and help out on a pasture on saturdays) but i am already quite well built.
    really i just want to lose the excess fat that i have pretty much all over my body and get into a nice physical state (not so much body builder size but just ripped and slim).

    at the moment i work out (weight lifting) at home every 2 days (i.e. one day workout, one day recovery). i have weights at home so i am working out my biceps/triceps/shoulders @ 15kg and have got a bench press for chest @30kg. i do 3 sets of each in a random order with as many reps until failure (usually 10-15reps). i do push ups inbetween till failure too (5-10). i also put in about 100 abdominal crunches/bicycle crunches throughout my workout. by the end of it all i normally feel tired and have an obvious increase in muscle size/strength and often get soreness the following day (i've heard this is good).

    so, my quesiton is basically should i be supplementing myself with a protein/creatine powder drink after/before/during my excercise sessions. i am vegetarian and my only real source of protein is baked beans and ocasionally chick peas but i don't think that this is enough.
    should i be using a fat loss powder/capusle or a weight gainer? i want to lose weight and gain some muscle.
