Your weight is completely normal. You have absolutely 0 need to consider taking a diet pill. Just FYI, BMI is the standard calculation used by doctors to determine if people are at a healthy weight given their height. A BMI < 18 is underweight, 18-25 is normal, 25-30 overweight, and 30+ is considered obese. As you can see, your BMI falls on the lower end of normal. If you were to lose weight it could be unhealthy for your growth and development, and cause different problems for you.
From what you said you desired to do (lose 4 pounds and tone up your abs), those goals can be accomplished by doing ab workouts at home for 5-10 minutes a day before you go to sleep on the floor of your room, and taking out one piece of junk food per day and substituting it for a healthier alternative. If you're already working out, just make sure you do a brief ab workout daily (your abs can take it) and you'll see improvement in no time. Also, make sure your form for crunches/sit-ups/leg lifts is good. So many people THINK they're doing a good ab workout but it is completely useless. You have to mix things up and do different exercises for your abs or your body will get used to what you are doing and you will see very little benefit from continued training.

I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

I'm 40 and trying to lose 10lbs myself. I'm not really heavy, but a few pounds have snuck up on me. If your friend has a lot of weight to lose I do recommend Weight Watchers. A few of my friends tried it and lost a good amount of weight.
Personally, I have started walking at least 30 mins a day 6x a week. I eat what I like, but not a whole bunch of it. I don't eat many bread products, but I do eat dairy and meat. Trying to get more fiber by eating more veggies & fruits. I'm adding fiber supplements to my diet as well. And make sure she doesn't drink too may sweet liquids...those really add calories! I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Start slow. Doing too much at once decreases your chances of sticking to a workout plan. Try walking for 10-15 minutes at a brisk pace (you can adjust this if it is too much or too little). As this gets easier for you, increase your time by a few minutes. You want to do this most days of the week (at least 5), although it may be best to start with 3 days/week and work up from there. Set goals for yourself. For example, in one month be able to walk for 30 minutes, 4 days/week. In 2 months be able to walk for 45 minutes. As you are able to increase the time that you workout for, you will be able to burn more calories, which will help you to burn fat faster. Since you are overweight, you don't want to do too much too quickly because this could lead to sore knees, which would discourage you from working out. Another great option, that is easy on the knees is riding a bike. Good luck! Stay positive and stick to a routine and you will get the results you want.

I am still in the process of losing weight. I'm down 30 lbs and more to go. But I feel better - I have more energy and stamina. I am stronger and my body uses energy better. I am setting a good example for my daughter and I feel better about myself. I am more confident and feel more sensual. What got me to change was what I was doing wasn't working and I realized that I won't loose any weight by doing the same thing (eating wrong stuff and not moving). My strategy has been simple move more - really nothing too strenuous, but just moving - and eating less but better. I cut out diet soday which made a huge difference. Who knew? I try to eat only natural foods and no processed foods. Breakfast at home, bring my lunch to school, dinner, well, dinner is always a mixed bag. I also fast for like 12 hours sometimes, about 2 times a month. This is a spiritual thing but I believe it cleanses the body as well. I found saying this scripture aloud everyday gave me the Word behind the reality 1 Corinthians 6:13. It really does work. It is not just a body makeover, it has to be a mind makeover too. Your thinking must change. You can do it! Baby steps and one day at a time. It took along time to gain the weight, and it will take time to get it off.

Spinning is excellent and as well as the elliptical trainer. Both burn a lot of calories and banish your love handles and saddlebags.Otherwise, my advice would be that you need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.
Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
