As there are many different types of workouts for burning fat, the most popular and the most effective for fat loss consist of full body workouts or workouts containing exercises that stimulate the large muscle groups.

There are 2 different interpretations of a “Full Body” workout:

1) The workout consists of exercises that force the body to move and work as one to complete each exercise in the workout. An example of this type of exercise would be the deadlift as it requires the use of nearly all the muscles in your body.

2) The workout consists of multiple exercises that all stimulate different muscles during performance, but the end of the workout results in all of the muscles being worked.

Regardless of the interpretation, full body workouts are a great tool for burning fat. And if losing weight is your number one priority, then this is the way to go.

But, just as full body workouts are great at burning fat, there are a few drawbacks to using this as your bread and butter routine.

Doing these type of workouts require more energy than workouts that simply focus on fewer muscle groups at a time. This causes decreased focus and intensity funneled directly and specifically to the larger muscle groups. Meaning the weights used, and the force applied by each muscle group will be lower, resulting in less stimulation, lower muscle breakdown, and shorter recovery time. In the end, it’s much more difficult to add moderate to large amounts of muscle to your body.

To give you an example, let’s take the Deadlift as the full body exercise and break it down. You can go extremely heavy using deadlifts, but the main target of the exercise is the quads, hamstrings, and lower back. Your upper body will be stimulated somewhat, but it will be stimulated in more of an isometric way. Meaning the upper body is there for support, to hold the bar as you lift to the midpoint. There isn’t any direct stimulation to these muscles.

Many full body exercises work in this fashion, they require large amounts of energy from specific muscle groups, and neglect muscles in the other parts of the body.

While a full body workout will increase energy output, if your goal is to increase your muscle mass, this is the worst approach to take.

In the end, full body workouts are absolutely stellar for females looking to shed fat, but on the other hand, if your goal is to burn fat and build muscle at the same time, your best bet is to opt for a different type of workout that allows for greater stimulation for each muscle in the body.

If you’re in the lose fat – gain muscle category, the ideal program for you would consist of moderate to heavy weights in a superset, triple set, or giant set sequence. It’ll allow you to isolate certain muscle groups, get greater stimulation, and allow you to build more muscle while simultaneously increasing your energy output to burn fat.

      In order to burn fat, you must be in a caloric deficit and create the right hormonal environment for fat loss through clean dieting and proper exercise.

      I can give you a few exercises to do that will help you burn some fat, but sooner or later you will hit a plateau and will stop burning fat due to a poor diet.

      For stomach and thighs, you'd want to superset lower-body exercises with abdominals for example:

      Bodyweight Squats - Hanging Leg Raises
      Bulgarian Split Squats - Decline Crunches
      Lunges - Regular Crunches

      Focus on a full, controlled range of motion for the first week. Then add speed the following week, then add load the week after, as an example. Not everyone is the same so you have to find out what works best for you.

      After an intense workout, finishing up with an intense bout of cardio for around 10-15 minutes would be a good start to boost that fat loss. Cardio does not work alone as it only strips you of your Lean Body Mass (LBM), and LBM is responsible for fat loss as Muscle is an active tissue.

      After an intense workout, the body says, "What in the world did you just do to me? I had better hold on to this muscle or I won't last in the gym again!" The body then finds the next thing to burn and that is fat, so cardio after workout is always best.

      fun, challenging workout. You can also jump in different ways to keep
      your work out interesting. For example, you could do what is called
      square jumping:
      Use tape to make a square on the floor, or use chalk if on concrete.
      Then, divide the square into quadrants. Then, jump around into each
      square in a clockwise, then counterclockwise, direction. Begin with a

      Another thing you could do is try to move a set distance while you

      your right leg, then ten on your left. Balancing while standing with

      a little dull, mix it up again. With jump roping the possibilities are
      infinite.

      As for how many calories, go online and check what your BMI is. This is how many calories you burn at rest. Your diet should be a little (not much) less than this a day, otherwise your body will think you are starving it and won't burn fat. And don't fill up those calories with sugar or bad carbs. Instead stick to lean meats, lots of veggies, fruit, good carbs (brown rice, oatmeal), and dairy (skim milk, yogurt...not fatty dairy products). For your workout, I like the elliptical machine and the stationary bike because i have really bad knees and the treadmill kills them. But don't do more than 30 minutes of cardio or your body will start burning muscle. Be sure to switch up your routine and start to add more intensity, change modes, and change routines every few weeks or your body will stop adjusting and you will stop losing weight.       Jogging is great for cardio, but then again so is using an elliptical, cycling, etc. One isn't really much better than another. In fact, jogging can be a bit hard on a person's joints from what I've read. It depends a bit on how fast you're going and how long you spend doing said activity though mainly. After all, the faster and longer you go in any cariovascular activity the more calories you'll burn. The girls that you see jogging that have great bodies are probably burning more calories running for the same amount you spend on the elliptical because they are going at a faster pace. You just have to work on your endurance. These girls might also be using weight-training or other exercise and very healthy eating in correlation with their running. You should consider adding these things to your daily routine as well.

      You don't need any fat burners. Those fat burners are very dangerous, and some prevent the absorption of key nutrients your body needs.

      For optimum fat burn you should walk 5 - 6 days per week not 4.

      Low intesity training, where your heart rate is between 60% to 65% of your maximum heart rate. our body starts to combine fat with oxygen as a fuel source to power your muscles. As long as you stay in the low intensity heart rate range, you continue to burn fat.

      If you are 18 - 22 you should aim to keep your heart at 130 - 135 for optimum fat burn.

      Remember to eat healthy, drink alot of water, have a pre and post work out meal.

      Example - half a banana before working out, and the other half with some veggies afterwords.

      And also find out your resting metabolic rate - just google metabolic rate calculator.

      Find out how many calories your body burns a day in resting mode, then add a 100 - 300 calorie deficit.

      That is the best way to loose fat.
