The internet and video/audio/digital media has enabled anyone who has the desire to learn how-to, to have an unprecedented customer base at his or her fingertips from the comfort and tranquil of their own home. Think about it, when in history could you access your target market almost instantly and with such a small budget or no cost at all in many cases. That's not to say you can do it without effort, no, learning is most certainly involved if you want to do something meaningful, but the point is this type of vendor-buyer contact was utterly unheard of not that long ago and would be met with disdain and ridicule if someone were bold enough to suggest it were possible, 'too good to be true' would be the outcry, or 'never in a million years'. The truth is that with some knowledge backed by strong cohesive attitude required for success in any business, Internet Marketing gets really close to 'a free lunch', for want of a more appropriate metaphor.

Lots of cardio- running, biking, swimming.A good "core" workout does wonders too- pilates/yoga.
Any regular leg lifts, crunches, etc. only work well if you combine them with regular fat burning cardio.

1st months of slimming world i lost 9lbs (im not a fan and think ww s better for those of us who still need our treats)!!Weight watchers
1st week= 8lbs (was very good followed well excerised 4 times)
2nd week= 3.5lbs (weight loss slowed which was happy aboutbecause means had not alt of water retention)#
3rd week= 1lb (followed the plan but weight loss catch up with me)
4th week= 4lb (hit th gym n pool hard because wanted a good loss because the week after was going to familys for a christening.altogether =16.5lbs weight loss a bit slower now aveage is 1.5lbs a week which im hapy with.

I am 17 years old, female. Prom is coming up in 3 months and I put on about 10 pounds over the summer that I want to take off plus a little bit more. I am 5’0 and 119 pounds. What I want to lose most, other than all around is my love handles, stomach (#1), butt (sticks out =/), and my arms are a little too fat for my body.I am planning on going to the gym everyday for about 1.5-2 hours and eating healthy, however, I need a little help with following it and what would be beneficial and what wouldn’t.
I went to the gym today, for the first time for this diet plan/weight losing plan. I did the treadmill for 5ish minutes fast walking (warm-up/cool down) and about 10 minutes running (not SO fast, but running) and then did the sitting bike for 10 minutes/1.5 miles. It was my first day so I didn’t do much.
I am planning on eating healthy so it helps with my weight loss as well and my face.
I plan to eat Special K cereal with 1% milk in the morning (615 AM)
Lunch at school: apple and water? If I should eat more, maybe a sandwich (wheat bread with a slice of cheese since I’m a vegetarian, would that be healthy?) (1030 AM)
100 calorie pack? Or a granola bar would be healthier? (12-2ish, anytime between there)
Dinner: Indian food, but healthy, like soups and veggies.
Snacks during the day: apples, plums, oranges/tangerines/clementines, watermelon.
6 bottles of water per day.
Not eating after 7 PM.I am planning to go to the school gym right after school from 230-3 and then come home and go to my gym by my house from 345-5?
What machines should I do? And how long about? (How do I keep myself from getting bored=( lol)
Also like on treadmill/elliptical should I do incline/hill, if it makes a difference?Also I have a bit of acne on my face. Will exercising and eating like that help clear it up?

Yes, think of it this way, instead of eating chips & soda, you'd be eating fruits & vegetables & drinking water... which has very little oil compared to junk food.
Specifically, sweating will open your pours up and you can wipe away all the oil pretty much. What you want to do after you sweat is rince your face with cold water.

You'll probably see results after a week, but your starting from square one, so it will take your body some time to get into shape but if you eat right & watch your calories, the lbs will be shedding off.

I too have workout ADHD, so this is what id recommend:
Cardio workout for the out of shape:
Day 1: 10 minutes of treadmill, elliptical, and stationary bicycle. (30 mins total)
Day 2: 15 minutes of treadmill and elliptical. (30 mins total)
Day 3: 10 minutes of treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike & just 5 minutes of stair stepper. (35 mins total)
Day 4: 15 minutes of treadmill, elliptical, and stationary bike (45 minutes total)
Day 5: 15 minutes of treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, then 5 minutes of the stair stepper with an additional 5 minutes of jumping rope. (50 mins total)As you begin to get more fit, more confident in your physical health, you can begin to increase your total workouts by 5 minutes and the intensity by an extra level.

Buy food from the grocery store. Buy fruits, vegetables, chicken, fish. Stay away from red meat. Buying your food from the grocery store instead of fast food will change a lot right there if you happen to eat out a lot or go through a drive thru a lot.Don't add salt to your food, drink 1 glass of water before each meal so that way you'll feel fuller, stay away from junk food, soda/pop, sweets, etc.
Through out the day, drink at least 8 - 10 glasses of water a day. It may seem annoying but by doing this, you won't become dehydrated. Water gets rid of bad toxins and cleanses your body. Don't eat anything after 7PM so that way your body burns all of those calories you've had earlier on that day.
For exercise, I would suggest dancing. Dance to any type of song that really gets you moving fast. Exercise for a good hour or two. Hope I helped.

As an answer to the last reply. My daughter has approached me to help her to loose weight. I have been trying to lead by example. I am 5'9" and weigh 153lbs. We are into martial arts, together, we train about 6 hours total a week. 1-1/2 hour sessions, 4 days a week. I would never tell my beautiful girl that she is fat. Read this book from library, "You are not sick you are thirsty" he explains a lot about water and sea salt. He says most of our problems w/health is dehydration. I have tried it and it has worked on several things. One thing is the stomach area, water and "sea salt" very inexpensive compared to health, doctors, hospitialization, etc.. He explains about weight and water so it is understood easily. I can not exercise or walk, so was looking for other help. I also quit wanting cokes, teas, coffee, which I had something in my hand 24 X7, I did not try to get off my Pepsi or good sweet tea, just didn't want it anymore, after I started on the water program. I was so bad that when I got up at 2 or 3 in the morning, I would get a glass before I go to back to bed drink it and take another one with me. Now I occasionally drink a glass of tea. I NEVER was a water drinker, didn't like it. But he showed me it works. I dont' drink it now because I love it, I drink it because it has proven it works. But you can't forget the sea salt. It maybe be something that helps her too, and a lot of others who have health issues, and weight is a health issue.
If you can get her to walk, maybe you and her set up a time to walk for a little bit every day, either early morning or after dinner for 15 or 20 minutes, would help. My daughter is doing that and rotating days walking/ and exercise video to change up things, because of boredom. She started off with 3lb weights and only been doing it a couple of weeks and you can see a big difference . In the video, they do some floor exercises, some things standing, stepping (which we have no step, so she just does it in place, or on books sometimes. Arms are getting smaller, because they do the floor things too, it helps w/the ab area, hips, thighs ....It only takes 20 or 25 minutes. She is a big girl, sounds like she has the same spare tire problem as your daughter, and no matter what she put on, it was the problem area you had to see if it looked right. Clothes look good on her eventhough she is a "big" person, just in the midsection it looked really bad, it is now looking a lot better.also try to set a time, like maybe 7:00 and no eathing after that. I have a niece who does this when she wants to loose weight and I am always amazed at her, when she feels she has gained too much, she just says I am not going to eat after 7 pm and does not change her diet, and she looses.
But I would reccomend you checking her diet and try to eliminate all the bad things and educate her, and teach her the best.
Maybe this can be a dad/daughter challenge. Hey do the walks/exercise/water/healthy way of eating together. It will help to inspire her, and to motivate when you have a partner. Maybe there is a relative or friend her age that would also enjoy the fun.If my daughter was 14 again, I would enourage her to write a journal, if she doesn't already, to keep track of what she eats, and how she is trying to change, so that she is being held responsible and accountable to "herself" not to anyone else. If it is something she wants, she can help to motivate her and to encourage her. It would also be nice, for her to look back in her journal to read when you are no longer around and she has her grandchildren to read her journal and remember the days she spent w/her dad, and how he helped to get her on the right track to better health..........
Just before my daughter,( who I will say is in her late 20's) started doing the walking/exercising , was on the weight watchers diet, for about 2 weeks, and that is something I would reccommend also to you, is to help her with it, it is easy to do. You count point, not calories, and is easy. She is no longer on the Weight Watchers, but I think she maybe getting back on it next week.
. You can sign up on the internet and not have to go to meetings and they will help you out with it. I started it, and you dont' have to do with out all the foods you want, you just choose which foods you want to spend your points on, if you choose a piece of cake, you count to see how many more points you can have the rest of the day. It helps you to learn to be accountable.
She was also drinking water, which she was not a water person either, but saw it was happening to me.
The book was written by Dr. Batman (nickname) you should read the book, he has several books, another one is "Asthma, Allergies, Lupus" among others,they are all good, and I am not a reader normally. Just was desperate, for a little help, as my stomach area was so bloated, swollen, fat or what ever you want to call it, and after about a week, I could tell a big difference, I didn't have all that full feeling I had before and was given several compliments on looking like I lost some weight.
I know this is hard for a young girl, as we have been through that too.

Taking some vitamins such as vitamin C which is a known diuretic wouldn't be such a bad idea either. If you supplement yourself well enough chances are you will feel more energized and you will have plenty of energy to exercise and get your metabolism going so you'll burn all the fat, assuming the purpose of the fasting is weight loss.

A program?? I don't think diet pills are the most effective. What worked best for me was the Biggest Loser diet. It sounds dumb and it's really not for very overweight people, but for anyone. I picked up the book.. It has lots of inspiration and it's honest, it helps you change your lifestye (to exercise each day, think positively about yourself, and eat small, healthy meals often throughout the day to boost your metabolism.) It also has lots of recipes (And you can buy the cookbook). When the show is on, it's also very inspiring. That's what worked for me!

HiYour diet is very healthy but an advice is that if you include some more nutrients in your diet.
1. Eating in moderation is very important, this helps to keep the body in balance, and nutritionally satisfied hence aiding in healthy weight loss.
2. Cutting down on empty calorie food items. i.e. the items which are high in calorie but zero in nutritional value like soft drinks, alcohol.

I am desperate to lose the holiday pounds I have packed on...I have done Atkins in the past for a quick weight loss-but I know that is not a very sensible or smart diet-however I did see results quickly. I didnt gorge myself on butter and bacon-but I did eliminate the carbs. Some diets have you eating fruit and maybe some whole grain toast for breakfast-Atkins says eat bacon, butter and cheese----and I know that cant be good!!!
I like Vietnamese and Thai foods,which of course have a lot of noodles.I also love all kinds of salads and vegetables I also work a 5am -2pm shift--so my meal times are kinda messed up. I do try to walk at least 3 miles a day 4 times a week and am working on doing that more often.

As healthy as fruit may be, fructose, the sugar in many fruits is the most lipogenic (fat producing) carb. Many veg are just as healthy as fruit without sugar. Berries are allowed on Atkins after 6 weeks & other fruit after 9 weeks.There is no better way to bring the body to the state of optimal health than with a low carb way of eating. Low carb doesn't cause high blood pressure, high blood sugar or high cholesterol, it cures it. It is actually dangerous to take meds that lower these levels and do low carb at the same time because the levels will become dangerously low. Carbohydrates trigger insulin. High insulin levels unbalance other hormones. Anything less that 9 grams of carbs per hour controls insulin and is considered low carb (up to 144 grams per day).
U.S. government guidelines were changed 35 years ago to suggest we lower our fat intake & increase our carb intake. American society followed these recommendations & lowered their fat intake by 11% & increased their carb consumption. In this same time frame obesity, diabetes, heart disease are all at epidemic levels. Through their direct effects on insulin & blood sugar, refined carbohydrates are the dietary cause of coronary heart disease & diabetes.
A low carbohydrate diet is a high fat diet. The protein should only be a little higher than adequate. Although it is completely possible to live on a fat/protein only diet for long term (as proven by research done in a hospital setting) it becomes boring fairly quickly. Luckily many vegetables & some fruits, nuts & seeds are low in carbs & greatly expand the diet. Most long term low carbers eat as many, if not more non starchy vegetables than vegetarians.
Glucose is the bodies preferred fuel (if you want to get technical, it actually burns alcohol most efficiently, but that doesn't make it any healthier for the body than carbs), the body can convert 100% of carbs, 58% of protein & 10% of dietary fat into glucose. The body can also be fueled by fat (dietary fat & fat cells) but only in the absence of carbs. Your brain actually prefers* to be fueled by ketones (part of the fat burning process), it does require glucose also, but glucose can be easily converted from excess protein if needed or dietary fat.
Plaque build up in the arteries is more attributable to carb consumption than dietary fats, which seems to be the conclusion of the following study. Carb consumption raises triglycerides & VLDL (bad cholesterol). Fats raise the HDL (good cholesterol). High triglyceride levels & low HDL levels are an indicator of plaque & glycation - the precursors to a heart attack & heart disease.

Postprandial lipoproteins, you'd think, would be plentiful after ingesting a large quantity of fat, since fat must be absorbed via chylomicrons into the bloodstream. But it's carbohydrates that figure most prominently in determining the pattern and magnitude of postprandial triglycerides and lipoproteins. Much of this effect develops by way of de novo lipogenesis, the generation of new lipoproteins like VLDL after carbohydrate ingestion.
Gary Taubes who wrote "Good Calories, Bad Calories" spent 7 years going through all the studies over the last century & dividing up the real science from the faulty science & concluded that low carb was the best way to control insulin levels which balances out other hormones & allows the body to function properly.
His main points are:
1. Dietary fat, whether saturated or not, is not a cause of obesity, heart disease or any other chronic disease.
2. The problem is refined carbs in diet, their effect on insulin secretion & the hormonal regulation of homeostasis.
3. Sugars - sucrose, high-fructose corn syrup specifically - are particularly harmful, the combination of fructose & glucose simultaneously elevates insulin levels & overload liver with carbs.
4. Through their direct effects on insulin & blood sugar, refined carbs, starches, sugars are the dietary cause of coronary heart disease & diabetes. They are likely dietary causes of cancer, Alzheimer's & other diseases.
5. Obesity is a disorder of excess fat accumulation, not overeating.
6. Consuming excess calories does not cause us to grow fatter.
7. Fattening & obesity are caused by an imbalance in the hormonal regulation of adipose tissue & fat metabolism.
8. Insulin is the primary regulator of fat storage. When insulin levels fall, we release fat from fat tissue.
9. By stimulating insulin secretion, carbs make us fat.
10. By driving fat accumulation, carbs also increase hunger & decrease the amount of energy we expend in metabolism & physical activity.

My sister needs to know the fastest way to lose 40 pounds ASAP. By December. She is 5'7 and 200 lbs. She doesn't care about gaining the weight back, as long as she loses it by December. I'm hearing Atkins is the way to go for fast weight loss. Meaning no carbs, no sugars, plus exercise. Another diet I'm hearing about is nothing but fresh fruit and vegetables, light poultry, plus exercise.Which is the way to go? She's a healthy adult and this is just a temporary diet for an event. Hi there its great to hear you are interested in getting fit and having a healthy diet,,,,, Basically i want to give u advice that i had, When i was 16 i was a 32 gg and weighed 11 stone im 5ft 2, i had a breast reduction so heres where this may helo you, i had 7 pounds taken out between both breasts, so you are probably carrying about the same, I am now 25 i wegh about 9 stone and have been a dedicated runner and gym goer for about 8 years and love the life style i lead, i eat well and when i say well i eat what i fancy and train hard, i recommend 2 litres of water a day and a balanced diet nofaddy diets will ever work and good excersise, cardio for an hour atleast 3 times a week for examplesession 1 half hour jog half hour cycle
session 2 1 hour circuit training class
session 3 half hour cross trainer half hour jogObviously you would do excersise that suits you but i always do high intensity cardio intervals 5 times a week, i power walk ona tredmill for2 minutes followed by 2 minutes sprint and i repeat foran hour , I hope this can help, but remember that faddy diets will enver work a healthy balanced diet with a good excersise programme will always work the best and most of all be happy with yourself ,ooooh and as i said water is my secret weapon 2 ltrs a day does wonders fro health skin weightloss and your insides

You need to eat breakfast - eggs is your best option. If you don't eat breakfast, your metabolism stays in sleep mode. You need to eat lunch, eat pasta for lunch with vegs & protein & at dinner stick with meat & vegs.Not eating all day & eating lots of pasta at night will guarantee you will be 200# while a teenager & nearly 300# as an adult.
I recommend to lose weight, cut out all sugars & starches. No sodas, juices, cookies, candy, cakes, etc. As healthy as fruit may be, it's natural sugars do not only not promote fat loss, they actually promote fat storage (fructose is the most lipogenic carb).
Make sure half your meals are green non starchy vegs & eat lots of protein & good fats, limit your complex carb portions to no more than your protein portion.
Studies have shown that some people can gain fat stores even on a semi starvation diet of 1000 calories a day - if it's composition is high carb, low fat. So obviously, calories aren't the key to fat loss.
I am adamantly opposed to low calorie dieting because most people lose a good portion of lean tissue (including vital organs like the heart) along with fat stores. There is no nutrition in fat stores, only energy.
Most people get impatient and lower their calories and increase their exercise to a point where they lose so much lean tissue that when they return to what was maintenance level eating they are now accumulating more fat stores because their caloric needs have dropped due to the loss of this tissue as well as their metabolism slowing down to work more efficiently on fewer calories & it becomes a vicious cycle of dieting and more loss (including vital organs like the heart). This stress to the vital organs cannot be healthy.
